My first time going here was a bit of a lucky chance, from the outside the place looks a bit seedy and would be easy to pass by, but I was hungry and was just looking for something cheap that wasn’t fast food. Man was I surprised, upon entering and following a short hallway the restaurant opens into a classy and modern room complete with a wine bar. The couple that runs it are always very kind and fast at preparing your food. Which brings me to the best part. The sandwhiches are out of this world delicious, I don’t know what sets them apart but there is a proper way to make a sandwhich and Boex has mastered it. Their Gyro is delicious but the pesto panini is off the charts, absolutely sublime. Portion sizes are also really good for the price. Please give this place a shot!

Subs Galore & More – Menu with Prices – 2721 Green River Rd # 101, Corona

This place is my best pick for sandwhiches in Corona. Owner ‘Benny’ is the nicest guy you could want to make your sandwhich and his staff are all friendly as well. His prices are very reasonable including ‘beer’ prices. But his sandwhiches and salads and pasta dishes have all the flavor you expect and more. Italian sub is one of my favorites on toasted bread with everything on it.My wife and I have a clothing alteration store in same shopping center and one day I went to SubsGalore for sandwhich and I came and back again. The bread he uses is excellant and the sandwhiches will never dissapoint no matter which one you get hot or cold.Benny has also patronized our business as well so we have a good relationship but I would go for his sandwhichs no matter what, they are that good.

Le Macaron French Pastries – Menu with Prices – 12478 N Mainstreet, Rancho Cucamonga

I’m beginning to think the people that have purchased here haven’t had a proper macaron or pate choux. I wanted to get a few items before our movie and I decide to give this place a try. My gut told me not to buy as much as I did based off of looks alone, but I gave it a try anyway. The feet on the macaron were spread and the shell was really shiny so I knew they were going to be dense and sugary.. The sizes were all very inconsistent and not uniform. I purchased 6 pieces @16.50. I normally dont care, especially when it’s a good quality macaron. I bit into the pistachio and it had only almond flavor, it was super sweet, and tasted as of it was frozen. Then I decided to give the salted caramel a try, once again, no caramel flavor, all almond, tasted like it was frozen, and not to mention the hair that came out with it. I was so disgusted that the other 4 stayed in the box. Next I tried the Madeline. It was pretty large and looked super moist. I took one bite and spit it out. It was dry and tasted like it had been baked on a pan that wasn’t properly cleaned so it had a burnt taste to it. Definitely a zero. Last but not least, the coffee eclair. My mom took a bite and said it tasted like old refrigerator. Which means it’s not fresh at all. I was honestly over it and didn’t care about getting my money back, but my mom insisted on going back in. When she went in she was told they dont give refunds. Which I see why because if they had as many complaints as mine, they’d be shut down. Dont trust the reviews.

Sal’s Pizza – Menu with Prices – 6773 Carnelian St, Rancho Cucamonga

Best pizza around the Rancho Cucamonga area I have found! Tried it for the first time, I ordered the XL 2 topping pizza for $23! Slices were huge, they were very generous with the toppings and it tasted delicious!! I normally just eat 1 or 2 “small” slices, like pizza hut sizes, but this pizza was so good I ate 4! And the slices were big I couldve been full with 1! I didnt get to take a photo, I was too hungry! They dont accept debit/credit so be warned of that and its not a sot down restaurant, they’re just a store front. But this is perfect to call ahead and pick up for an amazing dinner! Dont waste time with fast food pizza when you can have the real thing! I will be coming back!

Boriken Deli – Menu with Prices – 3800 US Hwy 98 N, Lakeland

About 2 months ago I asked for a Pastrami Sandwhich with lettuce and tomatoes, there is a $1.00 for lettuce and tomato so I said no, when I got the sandwich, what a disappointment hardly any pastrami and cheese, very poor for the price, I reached out to the FB page and messaged my experience, he apologized and said he would make sure the standards of a sandwhich are meet. I go today and the samething I had to pay $1 for lettuce and tomatoes, I was like the owner or whoever’s manages the FB page said this was going to be taken care of, so I see it hasn’t, I left and I will never go back. I went to give them a 2nd chance, but I was just disappointed. Will not be going back.

Olivetree Delicafé – Menu with Prices – 1107 Derry Rd E, Mississauga

Good, fresh food! A nice alternative to Subway for lunch. Be prepared to wait in line though. They need some extra staff here. They only usually have one person preparing sandwhiches and lunch plates and another on cash. It is not uncommon to find dirty dishes on the tables because the two people in the store are the only ones working. If there are 5 or more people in line, you could be 15 minutes before you are out the door. Other than that, go for it!

Hobo Co Pizza Menu with Prices 1500 E Cerritos Ave, Anaheim

This is legitimately some of the best pizza I have ever had, period. Forget the fact that it’s from a food truck. We ordered the prosciutto and pear pizza, which came with arugula, shaved parmigiano and either a balsamic reduction or a high quality, true balsamic (based on price alone, I’m going with the former.) It was absolutely outstanding. The sauce, the cheese and all the toppings were a delicious combination. The dough had a very crispy outer crust, with a softer, thin center. Overall flavor and presentation were both 5/5. We also ordered one with basil, bacon, chicken, olive oil and (I believe) garlic; and a margherita as well. Both were also incredibly delicious and shared the same characteristics as the first, but we all agreed that the prosciutto and pear was the clear favorite. The service was also friendly and surprisingly fast. Each pie came out in about 10 minutes. They forgot a topping on one of the pizzas, but before I even walked over to pick it up they had noticed their mistake and gave me the pizza for free while they re-baked the proper one. Finally, lets talk price. I’m used to the modern food truck being a “splurge” kind of thing, where getting the best bang for your buck isn’t typical. At $12-13 for the above pizzas in ~12″ sizes, I was honestly very surprised. Absolutely, 100% worth every penny and cheaper than expected. All around, my whole family was very impressed by Hobo Co. We had a group ranging from 19 months to 67 years old (including the pickiest 4 year old eater I’ve ever known) and every single one of us loved it.

Vitale’s Deli – Menu with Prices – 425 Sappington Rd, St. Louis

I’ve been trying to get to Vitale’s for a couple years and just never did until today. Now I’m kicking myself for not getting there sooner. The wife had the “Annie” Turkey sandwhich. When you have Boars Head meat on a bakery fresh roll, how can you go wrong??? Delicious! ! I had the “Gracie” meatball sandwhich. I think it was the first time I had a meatball sandwhich on a round roll instead of a sub roll. Four larger meatballs were almost contained by the roll. The meatballs were fabulous, the sauce was delicious and the roll was great. When you find a little place that uses top notch fresh ingredients and keeps the menu small and simple, you know they’re doing it because they love to, not just to make some money. Vitale’s is smart enough to not get distracted by making sides, soups or fancy cakes. Read the other reviews. Almost every one is five stars except for some idiot who thinks “au jus” is just too plain. Vitale’s is the real thing without gimmicks. Here’s another 5 stars for them.

Hop Social Tavern – Menu with Prices – 3405 W Chandler Blvd, Chandler

This place is great! The food was delicious. I ordered a spicy chicken sandwhich with fries and my husband ordered the chicken marsala. For app we had the artichoke dip. Everything was brought out quick and served hot. Portions were good as well. Spicy chicken sandwhich was not greasy and had a good kick to it without super hot. Chicken marsala was juicy and creamy and the mashed potatoes were creamy and buttery. We ordered two flight of beer..comes with 5 and a had a solid variety to choose from. All the wait staff were friendly and everyone was hustling even as it slowed down. Quick to seat us, take our drink and food order and very attentive throughout. While there we were happy to catch the World series game. They have a nice size bar with several TVs to watch any games you want. They were also showing Coyotes hockey game. We will definitely return. I kept seeing the pot pie and is on my list next to try!

Bocata Latin Grill – Menu with Prices – 4725 Walmsley Blvd, Richmond

This is our favorite restaurant in the Richmond area. It has a 5 star review for a good reason. The service and food are excellent! Dont let the location in a shopping center fool you, the food is delicious and always fresh. My husband loves the cachapa which is like a creamed corn pancake, which we prefer with the shredded beef. I love the sancocho which is the soup/stew but its only served on weekends, so if you come during the week, it wont be there. Their arepas (sandwiches) are really yummy and probably the most popular item on the menu. We also love their plantains and usually get two orders for us to share. Their arepitas are also good with the cheese and crema that comes with it. They are mild in flavor but the texture is amazing and makes them always a must for ordering when we go. The owner is very kind and helpful in recommending items. And he is ALWAYS there! Every time we have come, he has been there. Any good establishment has a present owner. And that is one of the biggest differences that sets apart a great restaurant from a not so good one. We have tried almost everything on the menu and the only things l dont care too much for are some of the fried appetizers but if you order any of the entrees, you’ll be set for a yummy meal! Definitely give this place a try. It has a humble environment, but the reviews are for the excellent food and service, which lets face it, are much more important than the location.

Vines & Hops – Menu with Prices – 4216 N Brown Ave, Scottsdale

First off, we drove 45 min (from Litchfield Park) just to come to this place… and it was worth it!! The food is just soooooo good. The burrata and pesto platter was everything you’d want it to be; I am a pesto snob and I could have eaten it with a spoon! My husband said the veggie sandwich (with goat cheese, hummus, and pesto was literally the best sandwich he’s ever had. (And believe me, he’s had his share of great sandwiches!) We shared everything we ordered and my favorite was the meat and cheese platter (chorizo was nice quality – num!). I also nibbled on the bread and jams plate… nice for dessert. I ordered the V&H wine flight and the red blend was my favorite – very plummy and drinkable. So delish that I ordered a glass of it and shared it with my hubby. Lastly, everyone was welcoming and the ambiance was really nice and casual. Would love to sit out on the patio when it’s a bit cooler. One suggestion: forget the crackers and serve your bread with the platters . 7/22/19 Update Went back again and sooooo bummed to see that the veggie sandwich is no longer on the menu… ugh!! Please bring it back… it really sets you guys apart from the rest!

Verde Food Company – Menu with Prices – 851 W San Mateo Rd, Santa Fe

I ordered some juice which was good, but then I ordered an egg salad sandwhich which was so dull and boring, I couldn’t believe the price. It was the most expensive egg salad sandwhich I have ever had and it was lacking in every way. Terrible recipe. There was no diced celery, no paprika or a pinch of cayenne to give it some flair, I couldn’t taste any mustard, there was no parsley, no dill, NOTHING to make this egg salad stand out. BORING. I wouldn’t pay $2 for it and it cost me about $7 or $8. I’ll never go back, their prices are absurdly HIGH for what is NOT great food. The drink was good, but overpriced as well, they’re not made to order, they make them in the morning to last all day, so it is NOT freshly made when you arrive. I’ve paid less money for juice that was made right there, to order and it was GREAT. I probably gave it one less point because their prices are ridiculous. Next stop Rasa…I hope it lives up to its reputation. This was actually located on2nd street where it becomes San Mateo…in a little row of buildings.

Tokyo House – Menu with Prices – 1957 N Peace Haven Rd, Winston-Salem

To the cashier girl!! Literally just left here, you have the worst attitude and are super rude, not friendly and clearly not happy. I ordered over $45 in takeout, the girl running the register looked like she hated her life the moment she saw customers walk in. I’ve worked in the restaurant business before, you learn to leave your problems at the door. Trying to be nice I left her a tip when paying. I go to sit and wait on my to go order, she brings the food out, I walk over to grab some white sauce which is beside the drink machine in squeeze bottles. I see there’s no lids so I walk up to ask for some and she says I need to open up my bag and give her back the sauces she already put in there first. I said oh I didn’t realize, I don’t want to waste the sauce I already poured, can I not just get a lid for it? she said no because it cost extra. The bag was tied tight so I had to rip open my bag and hand her the sauce back because I didn’t want to use my card for a tablespoon of sauce. Needless to say I didn’t get a new bag when it was obvious I had destroyed mine and I tipped the rudest teenager in the world. Apparently takeout customers who tip have to pay for sauce and people who dine in dont. Dont put it out to the public if its not free. Quit your job if you hate it so much. You guys need to fire this girl, she obviously doesn’t need the job that bad. The only positive side about this place is guys in the back look like they’re working hard and they make good food.
