Blaze is a BYO pizza place. That’s Build Your Own *not* Bring Your Own… pro tip so you don’t create an awkward faux pas walking in with your own pizza. You’re welcome. Blaze is only the second BYO pizza I’ve ever had. The first being a place called Crush which was located right near where I worked in Boston. They claimed pizza in 90 seconds but between the line and the wait time, my hour lunch break would be almost over by the time I got the pizza back to my desk and it was just good, nothing special. Because of that experience I was highly skeptical about what Blaze would be like. Gainesville is a college town after all so I assumed Blaze had a double meaning alluding to other things people blaze. Luckily my skepticism was ill placed. Blaze is actually damn good pizza. As of this writing it is in my top three pizza restaurants in Gainesville. They do have delivery but I live outside the city proper, in the sticks, so there is no delivery for me of anything at all except the mail. I would guess, however, that Blaze is better experienced in the restaurant as opposed to delivery or take-out. It’s located in a busy area in a trendy building. Not sure if it used to be a garage but it looks like one and it’s really cool. It is loud, though, and my hearing is abysmal so when ordering I stay within the confines of the Signature Pizzas rather than the Build Your Own. The Signatures are completely customizable so it really is just the lazier version of BYO anyway. There usually is a line but it moves quickly. They ask your name and circle what you want on a piece of paper and then you move down the assembly line of goodness and tweak your order to your heart’s content, adding and subtracting ingredients however you’d like. The service is efficient and friendly. For pizza that is made so quickly, Blaze is really quite good. Thin, nicely crisped crust. I’ve ordered many pizzas from here. My most recent being the Veg Out which included the seasonal addition of squash. To go with it I got a salad which also included the seasonal squash. Be sure to visit Blaze in November (how long is Fall in Florida?) because both were amazing.

Blaze Pizza – Menu with Prices – 209 E Orangefair Mall, Fullerton

Vanessa one of the employees who works here gave me the best blaze Pizza experience ever she deserves a promotion! Girl was handling making two pizzas build your owns at the same time when my husband and I asked for a mountain of toppings on our pizzas she also kept in conversation engaging with us at the same time as she worked. She made the deserts herself along with cooking our pizzas herself and giving us the most exceptional service. I will definitely be coming back to this blaze pizza again and recommend anyone else to her for their pizza endeavors. This girl is top class blaze pizza company really needs to give this girl a promotion. Hands down one of the most dedicated hardworking employees I’ve ever seen. Keep up the good work Vanessa I hope your boss sees this so you can get the recognition deserved. Thank you for the amazing service we will come back again and let our friends and family know.

The Pizza Press – Menu with Prices – 6079 W Irlo Bronson Memorial Hwy, Kissimmee

We stopped here during our vacation in Orlando, and it was a good decision. We weren’t sure what to expect walking into the Pizza Press, but we were quite surprised in what we found. If you’ve been to Blaze, then the concept is similar. Quick and fast personal pizza. They have quite a variety of signature pizzas, as well a build your own, with a pretty impressive list of ingredients to choose from. We ordered 2 of their signature pizzas, The Tribune and Chronicle. We did add a few things on both, and the service was happy to accommodate our requests. In fact, my wife took a while “building” her pizza, and there was nothing but smiles and laughing from the service team. Maybe it was because they weren’t too busy when we arrived, but it was nice to see. We got one of their specials, which was 2 pizzas and drinks. We got seated and waited for our pizzas. While we waited we noticed all the newspaper inspired items around the place, and realize that was the whole concept of the Pizza Press. Interesting. Our pizzas came and both were quite delicious. The sweet Italian sausage on the Tribune was a hit with me, while the all the veggies on the Chronicle were very good and tasty. We couldn’t finish either, with a few slices left, so we got a to-go box for them and took it back to our hotel (I did have some the next day). Overall, The Pizza Press offered a very tasty pizza and the service was great. If we vacation in Orlando (or down by Celebration, Fl), we will at least know of a pizza place we enjoyed.

Blaze Pizza – Menu with Prices – 2348 Citadel Way #101, Melbourne

Blaze Pizza is much like the Chipotle of Pizza. Here you can customize your pizza to your liking. Kudos for having an option for vegans as they offer both vegan cheese & vegan chorizo. There are several signature pizzas w/ popular favorites along w/ calories listed. Probably the most popular choice here is the customizable Build Your Own Pizza. Choose your crust from original, thick crust, or cauliflower crust for gluten-free folks. Several sauces to choose from such as classic red sauce or spicy red sauce. Cheeses including vegan cheese options. etc. I opted for customizable Build Your Own Pizza w/ original crust, spicy red sauce, vegan cheese, vegan chorizo, & unlimited veggies. The toppings here hit the spot as lots of selections for those plant strong folks as the veggie toppings were plentiful, tasty, & nourishing. The pizzas are fast fired in 180 seconds in the oven. Fast, friendly service, & affordable. Found this to be one of the best vegan pizzas I’ve had in a long time for the fresh veggie toppings alone. Felt the crust could have been a bit firmer. The atmosphere pretty similar to dining at a Chipotle yet the vegan pizza hit the spot. I was able to finish the whole pie as was satisfying w/ just the right amount of food. Look forward to subsequent visits here.

Blaze Pizza Menu with Prices 540 17th St NW #410, Atlanta

I ordered 3 pizzas and a cookie online with this blaze location on blazepizza.com. The door dash deliver person arrived with only 2 pizzas. I called the restaurant to see if they could resolve issue to which the rep advised our door dash person forgot the pizza. I advised that we ordered pizza through blaze website and she transferred me to manager. The manager got on the phone and I explained the entire situation over again to her in which she says call it’s our fault or door dash fault since “all they do is make the pizzas”. I of course was stunned at this point and asked for resolutions to the issue to which she didn’t say anything else and after I said hello for 45 secs to a min they hung up. I called door dash and they asked for an order number. I gave them the order number from blaze pizza, name and number, and they could not pull anything up. They advised that they only could help if I ordered through door dash to which I understand. I called back to store. The manager answered the phone and asked very loudly and with a horrible attitude “is this that person who called earlier” she advised me that it is door dash, lyft, or Uber fault and they can’t do anything about it. I asked what solution could we come to? She told me that they were out of dough and we could come up there ourselves in the morning for a refund. I advised I ordered through website and could I get refund electronically to which she said no. This ENTIRE TIME she’s YELLING. She finally said she will just have GM mike call tomorrow. I asked her name and she hesitated and says Keisha. She advised for me to have a bless day and hung up. I promise we spoke very light and polite this entire time and did nothing to antagonize this manager Keisha. I hope that this doesn’t happen to any of you with blaze pizza.

Mr. Pizza Brick Oven and Tap – Menu with Prices – 3443 Macon Rd, Columbus

My husband and I decided to give this place a try since we are fans of well made pizza. The pizza was alright. The selection of house pizzas were kinda boring with nothing very special about them. We each ordered an 8″ pizza to give two different flavors a try. As we were sitting there we noticed they were advertising on the screens all day Monday buy one adult entrée get one half off with a picture of a pizza, but when we got our bill, we were charged full price for both pizzas. We asked the server about it and she came back to tell us that pizza is not included in that deal. It’s a freaking pizza place and the ad had a picture of a pizza!! Overall not worth $11 for a very small, greasy, boring personal pizza.

Velasko Pizzeria & Deli – Menu with Prices – 4800 McDonald Rd, Syracuse

You know that saying, you never get a second chance to make a first impression, well that is true of this pizza shop. We had 2 pizzas delivered and were very happy with the delivery guy. Unfortunately we can not say the same about the pizza. We had 2 different pizzas with different toppings and neither had any flavor. For a house full of people who like to eat and love their pizza, we struggled to get through the first piece. The sauce was bland as was the dough. I don’t know if the dough was old or cheap premade frozen dough but dough can make or break a pizza. With this pizza shop, it was a complete break. I didn’t bother trying the wings. The 1 piece of pizza I did manage to finish did not sit well in my stomach, leaving me with bad gas. We won’t be ordering from them again.

piesanos pies and pints – Menu with Prices – 2701 SW 42nd St, Ocala

3-4 stars as they give much effort. Guess it’s a local chain with a couple locations in Gainesville. Decor is nicer than not and you can dine at the bar or grab something to go from the dedicated pick up area. I had a gluten free pizza which came in a pan. The normal pizzas around me looked great and I was salivating to taste the charcoal flavor which wasn’t fully present for my pizza. The bartender explained they do the pans to prevent cross contamination, which makes sense, but if I return, I’m going to see if they can remove it from the pan. I didn’t love the wine selection but was quieted with a decent Chardonnay. Oh the joy of my visit was the 10* saxophone player randomly in the parking lot!!! He was so full of light, joy and positivity. He said God instructed him to this location and hopes to build a church with musical instruments one day. Hearing his music was beyond uplifting and I’d return to Paesano’s merely to hear this gentle – man play.

New York pizza kitchen – Menu with Prices – 2-50 W South St, Orlando

Deserves ZERO stars! Literally the most horrible pizza place ever. Delivery took an hour for horrible, days old looking pizza, dry mozzarella sticks that came with ranch dressing, and soggy onion rings. Aside from everything being disgusting, the pizza order was wrong, they brought the wrong sodas as well and who serves mozzarella sticks with ranch dressing??? The driver didn’t even deliver to our room and asked us to walk to the lobby to pick up. He also made sure to tell us that tips weren’t included in the price which I’m pretty sure there WAS a delivery fee. Bottom line…Don’t trust a random flyer under your hotel door, esp if it has no location address AND read reviews before ordering anywhere!!

Pontillo’s Pizzerias – Menu with Prices – 1687 Mt Hope Ave, Rochester

How many lousy pizzas can you order, eat & throw in the garbage before you vow never to order another one? We ordered 2 pizzas Thursday evening for delivery,1 medium without cheese and a large with cheese & pepperoni. The pizzas were warm & soggy, the botton crust burnt. The large pizza had no cheese & too much sauce & oregano. The chicken wings’ skins were not crispy so I had to pop them under the broiler. Seems to be a hit & miss to get a good pizza & wings from this location! I guess it depends on who is cooking & the amount of pride exerted. I threw the 7 remaining slices down the garbage disposer.

Giant Pizza King – Menu with Prices – 419 Telegraph Canyon Rd, Chula Vista

Great service from Henry. We needed 4 giant size pizzas for a birthday party that was starting earlier in the day and he went in early and opened the shop early for us to be able to come in. He had everything ready for us right on time. The pizza was delicious. Sometimes you think the giant size pizzas are more novelty and won’t taste as good but everyone loved the pizza. Especially the meat lovers which went very quickly. I recommend the Hawaiian as well.

Pizza Hut Express – Menu with Prices – 2056 Skibo Rd, Fayetteville

Usually every time I go to Target, I stop in at the Pizza Hut Express. I have never had a reason to complain. The pizza has always been excellent. Yesterday I was in Fayetteville and my daughter wanted to stop by Target to do some shopping and of course wanted pizza. We finished our shopping and decided to get the pizzas to go. I ordered three, two pepperoni and a cheese. When we got home and started eating the pizzas, we found that all three pizzas did not have pizza sauce on them. We tried to eat them anyway, but they just did not taste the same. We were very disappointed.

stone hot pizza Menu with Prices 3217 Washington Blvd, Arlington

This pizza place has wonderful food, and goes above and beyond for service. The pizza is fabulous, the delivery was very, very fast and courteous, but even beyond that, they really take care of customers. I had to place a specialty order (and it was weird…. I was trying to duplicate a pizza I had in Brazil to please the love of my life, who is Brazilian), and not only did they accommodate EVERY SINGLE WEIRD request, but were super nice (and very funny!) about it, and happily delivered both the NORMAL pizzas (delicious!!!) and the “Brazilian” pizzas (which I am told were delicious, but beauty is in the eye of the beholder…) super fast. We were SO pleased with the quality of the food, and even more so with the service- A+, 100%, these people treated us like gold. When she took a bite, she looked so happy she could cry, and my pizza off the menu was AWESOME. Thank you, Stone Hot Pizza! Wow wow wow. (Also, I have lived in NY area, and am fat enough to be considered a “pizza connoisseur”- I don’t care if this is “real” pizza or not- the quality was excellent and the service was excellent, and these people deserve to be successful!)
