This place honestly has a great selection of Thai food, Vietnamese food and even a selection of Teriyaki to choose from. I ordered a thai iced tea to go with one of the Teriyaki Dragon Noodle Bowls and a Pot sticker with Pork Vermicelli. The iced tea was huge and super delicious. It was refreshing and I sipped on it while waiting for my food. The food took a bit, but that is because he was working by himself. He apologized to another customer as he said his cook called in sick. The food was delicious, the Pork Vermicelli had a great dressing and the Pork was fresh and tasty. I only got one potsticker with the bowl, but it was a good addition. The bowl was full of traditional asian veggies like bean sprouts, cilantro, diced carrots, and cucumbers. One complaint is that both of the bowls I ordered had iceberg/sandwich type lettuce in there which I would like to not see as it did not compliment the other elements in the bowls I ordered. The Teriaki Dragon Noodle Bowl was recommended to me by the owner. It was very good and I loved everything about it, minus the iceberg type lettuce that should not be in there in my opinion, and that ir was not that spicy. I ordered a spice level of 4 but maybe should have gone for a 5 because I didn’t taste any spice. Overall, this place is clean, comfortable, and the owner does a great job of offering unique and delicious meals, made to order. This place seems to have bad reviews strictly because of claims that the service isn’t all that great, and I can see why, because when only one person is manning the whole restaurant, it can be very hard to keep up with the rush of lunch hour. I give this place 5 stars because I believe I would eat here again, and again.

Teriyaki Bowl – Menu with Prices – 4207 Gilman Ave W, Seattle

October 2017 My husband & I just recently began going to this place. So far we’ve been twice, & it’s been excellent both times! The chicken teriyaki is delicious, portions of both meat & rice were generous, & like so many other reviewers, we really enjoyed the salad as well. While it’s just iceberg lettuce, the dressing is yummy (on the lettuce as well as the rice), & it’s refreshing along with the entree. My husband LOVES their Ton Katsu! According to him, it’s the best he’s found in Seattle. We also tried the combo chicken & pork teriyaki, which is a VERY big portion (which is good as it’s more expensive) – basically it’s the regular chicken entree with a half portion of pork added in. They are super fast, too! We’ll be going here for some time to come!! – See my pics of the menu for current prices.

Boba Tea House – Menu with Prices – 1336 W Willow St, Long Beach

It’s been seven years since it was my daily place to go to. It was down the street from where I was living at the time so it only made sense to go before and after work or school. Fast forward seven years later, the quality of the food has not changed. I went yesterday and the food is just like I remembered. Delicious and tasty. They have a special on milk tea and Thai tea drinks. 2 for $5 for regular sized or 2 for $6 for large. I ordered two large Thai teas, an order of their shrimp spring rolls (it comes with 3) an order of their pork and egg roll vermicelli noodles. A special combination banh mi and an order of their spicy popcorn chicken. Food is good and fresh. I think the popcorn chicken could be more crispy and less powder. It’s literally filled with a huge amount of powder. And I requested no bean sprouts and less lettuce in my vermicelli noodles. But there was soooo much lettuce. Like a crazy amount lol However, the prices here are amazing. With everything I ordered, it was about $25. Prices are great and affordable and I’m glad you can get such a great amount of food with such a low price.

Pho Binh Minh Restaurant – Menu with Prices – 819 Sargent Ave, Winnipeg

Lovely new Vietnamese restaurant on Sargent! It’s a rather large restaurant that’s has a very bright, simple yet pretty decor in a very clean space. This place is where the former “Martini’s” Italian restaurant use to be (years ago) which has it’s own little parking space. P2 – rare beef pho (large $8.50) – there could have been more slices of beef but overall it was a good pho. The broth was lighter and leaned to a slight sweetness with a tinge bit more oil than I normally like but it was still good. The noodles were cooked perfectly and tasted great with the small dish of bean sprouts, Thai basil, lime and real bird’s eye chili. The ice coffee here is super strong and delicious – I highly recommend if you like stronger coffee! The best dishes here has to be their vermicelli bowl or “bun” and the “banh xeo”. V27 deluxe vermicelli bowl ($9.75) has grilled pork, spring rolls, grilled pork meatballs with veggies/herbs and vermicelli noodles. The vermicelli is served warm (which is a subtle thing many Viet places don’t do) which really adds to all the flavour once you pour on the fish sauce. The grilled pork is nicely seasoned and everything mixes really well in this dish. The banh xeo sort of looks like an omlette but it’s really more like a crispy savoury crepe/pancake. It’s made of rice flour, water, turmeric (which gives it that yellow colour) and it’s filled with pork, shrimp and bean sprouts. You eat it with lettuce and dip it into the fish sauce. I don’t normally order banh xeo as they always taste soggy but this one is super crispy and has lots of great flavour! Definitely give this one a try. Good as a shared appy or a light meal. Overall, great place with good prices and the service is very friendly!

Thanh Huong Restaurant – Menu with Prices – 534 Sargent Ave, Winnipeg

Been eating here for years…it feels like it’s under the radar a little bit as everyone seems to know more about Viva (on the same street). But they’ve been around for a long time and their food is legit – great flavour, generous portions and decent prices. At first glance, their prices seem higher than other places but they offer larger portions so it all works out. I’ve always stuck with the Vietnamese dishes here but there are the tons of other stir fried dishes that I have never tried. Their vermicelli (bun) bowls are great all around $9-$12. I like #33 which has egg rolls, grilled pork and grilled ground pork with the veggies and vermicelli ($9). I always get #11 which is the pho tai – medium rare beef slices in the pho ($8) – big bowl filled with lots of thin vermicelli that have that perfect consistency and lots of beef. Hands down the most generous beef portions in the city. And of course the pho comes with the plate of veggies – bean sprouts, lime and thai basil but no chilies. The soup is delicious though it is a more oily that I prefer but great balance of flavours. I love ice coffee ($4.50) but I don’t love their version as much. A little too much condensed milk which made it really sweet and the coffee isn’t as flavourful. Food service is extremely fast and lunch isn’t packed so you can eat your meal fairly quickly. They are probably one of the hardest working Vietnamese restaurants out there as they are open DAILY. Many Vietnamese restaurants are either closed on Tues or Wed so this is a great option and there’s always plenty of parking on Sargent Ave. M-F: 11am-10 pm Sat: 11:30 am-10 pm Sun & Holidays: 11:30 am -9 pm No delivery available. They take debit and credit as well.

Goody’s Pizza – Menu with Prices – 6237 Frankford Ave, Philadelphia

Goody’s has a vast menu and on this particular day I had a long day at work wasn’t in the mood to cook and to top it off it was hot. I ordered the grilled chicken salad. Now, I’m a foodie and love to cook but i ordered this salad thinking it came with romaine lettuce being that i despise iceberg lettuce. Goody’s has bomb salads includes a lot of ingredients in them which a lot of places don’t. I get home and open my salad and what do i see a great salad with iceberg lettuce. I called them with great dismay about what i paid for and received; in which i ended up giving to my neighbor. Jose the owner gave me store credit which i totally appreciated to no end and didn’t give me any hassle about it. In the end i find it great customer service and not to mention the food is great as well (which is important). So thank you Jose (Goody’s).

Thai Kitchen Temecula – Menu with Prices – 27520 Ynez Rd STE C1, Temecula

BEST THAI RESTAURANT EVER. NOT GOING ANYWHERE ELSE FOR THAI FOOD OTHER THAN THIS PLACE! Food was excellent and service was superb! We had the Thai Iced Tea, Crab Fried Rice, Tofu Yellow Curry, Thai Royal Noodles, Tom Kha, Chicken Teriyaki and Mango Sticky Rice! Everything was delicious and Thai Iced Tea was buy one get one free! You can ask them to make your thai iced tea less sweet if you want to btw. My favorite would be the Tom Kha, it’s the best I’ve had. The perfect balance between, sweet, sour, spicy, salty and creamy. My next favorite would be the crab fried rice. No words for it, it’s that good. The yellow curry is absolutely perfect with rice, whether it’s white or brown. Lastly, the Mango Sticky rice was the perfect way to end dinner if you want something not too sweet. I may be saying perfect too much throughout this review but it is what it is and you won’t regret dining/eating here. 100% will recommend to anyone even if you haven’t had thai food.

Bodhiâ??s Bowl – Menu with Prices – 1124 S Lewis Ave, Tulsa

every time i come to mother road market, i always say that i’ll check this spot out next, then end up trying something else, only to repeat that’ll check this spot out next. now that it’s finally come to, this was well beyond worth the visit. outside of the fact that the first bowl i had my mind on wasn’t available, the second option was nowhere near a letdown. i first ordered the el bebe gordito, i was informed that it wasn’t available. with the other selections being available (& it was close to closing time), that might’ve been the people’s champ of their selections. looking at the options over & over, i went with the chakra chana: vegetable poriyal, sweet ginger spinach, & pineapple relish. this bowl was close to perfect from the very first bite i took. usually, i find a way to add something to it, whether it’s hot sauce, some type peppers, etc, none of that was needed. the cool of the pineapple relish balances the mild spice that trails through the food. there was some type of sauce that was put with the rice, i couldn’t tell you what it was, i could tell you that it was a very nice addition. i was so hungry & the bowl was so good, being satisfied is a lack for a better term. if nothing else, get this selection, especially to those who are vegetarian. prices range from $10-12. their hours vary from the establishment (mother road closes at 9 on sundays, bodhi’s bowl close at 8 on sundays) & thank you to the chef who made the bowls that were ordered with 10 mins till closing, that was a bonus. they also have special bowls that aren’t on the menu, INCLUDING at time they transform into bodhi’s burger, which gives me an excuse to make a third visit after i try my original selection, el bebe gordito.

Nantana Thai Food & Desserts – Menu with Prices – 707 Dundas St W, Toronto

I had the Pad Thai combo with Thai Iced Tea, and it was a lot better than what I would have expected from a random storage container shop at Market 707. I enjoyed it a lot! There were very generous amounts of tofu and chicken, and it had the perfect balance of flavour without being too overpowering. The dish also came with a lime slice and red pepper flakes on the side, for those who would like to mix it up a bit. The owner does substitutions and additions for some extra money depending on the substitution. I paid a bit more for an extra portion of the pad thai noodles. The Thai iced tea was very sweet and refreshing too. It was the perfect drink to sip on during the walk back to work. I would recommend Nantana to anyone that enjoys Pad Thai and Thai food in general. It was delicious.

Viet Thai Restaurant – Menu with Prices – 216 Horton St E, London

This was our first time at Viet-Thai Restaurant. We (3 of us) were told to seat ourselves as soon as we walked in. The restaurant is very small with only 6 or 7 tables. It definitely has a ‘hole in the wall’ feel to it and a bit of a strange smell. Regardless, we sat down and decided to give it a try. The waitress (owner?) brought us a pot of tepid tea and then a few minutes later, glasses of ice water. We ordered (from the waitress, not by writing our own orders as is usual at Vietnamese restaurants) and the waitress asked each of us if we wanted our food spicy or not. Then we waited about 5 minutes until my soup arrived. I ordered a small brisket pho with 1/2 noodles. The soup was indeed small. It was probably half the size of a small pho at other Vietnamese restaurants. The broth tasted nothing like pho. It was very spicy (had chopped Thai bird chilies in it) but other than being spicy, it wasn’t very flavourful. I added soy sauce and a little hoisin as that’s what was available. It wasn’t bad, but definitely wasn’t pho. The brisket was very tough and chewy and there was maybe 1-2 oz. of it in the whole bowl of soup. Our son ordered Singapore vermicelli and it came about 5 minutes after my soup. It was nothing like the usual Singapore vermicelli as it was topped with broccoli and cauliflower. He had asked for mild and it was exactly that. The noodles were cooked perfectly and the flavour was good, but it was a bit sweet. The pieces of egg were also nicely cooked. The broccoli and cauliflower were lacking flavour, as if they’d been thrown in as an after thought. My husband ordered the house special rice dish. It came with grilled pork, which was tasty (if a tiny bit overcooked), egg (folded like an omelette) which was very tasty although he had expected a sunny side up egg as is usual with this dish and 3 shrimp which cooked perfectly. There was also some shredded lettuce on the plate. All in all, the food was pretty tasty (hence the 3-star review) but the main problem was that there was nothing Vietnamese or Thai about any of the dishes. Our best guess is that this is ‘Vietnamese’ food cooked by a Chinese cook. The washrooms seemed clean enough and the prices were very reasonable. Not bad if you’re looking for a cheap and cheerful meal but just don’t expect it to be authentic Vietnamese or Thai food.

Nature’s Juice – Menu with Prices – 335 N State College Blvd, Fullerton

I’m a huge fan of acai bowls so I chose this place to go have lunch with a friend. She works nearby so this place was convenient. I also saw that it had a high average rating so It thought it was worth a try. I think for acai bowl places, the prices here were a bit steep. I know acai bowls aren’t cheap, but I wish it were just $1 less for what I got. The ingredients were good, no issues there. And they were able to take my customization requests. But this is the “blend-type” acai bowl, not the “sorbet-type” so just to be aware. I like going back and forth between the two types, but the sorbet type usually has more customization, like Blue Bowl or Nekter Bowl Bar. Decent place, but nothing mind blowing. I probably won’t come back again as there wasn’t anything special in my opinion. But if you haven’t tried it for yourself, I’d recommend trying it, especially if you’re an acai bowl fan yourself.

Nana thai & Teriyaki – Menu with Prices – 430 E 25th St #37, Tacoma

My boyfriend and I came to the Freight House Square area to get macarons from La Waffletz. However, we wanted to have a quick lunch. There were so many places to choose from but we settled on this Thai and teriyaki place. I ordered the spicy chicken teriyaki and my boyfriend ordered the pad Thai. I believe it was $8.95 each and a bottle of water for $1. Good prices. We both love spicy food so he had ordered the pad Thai dish in 5 star spicy level. The wait time was average and we were excited to dig in. Let me start by saying the portion size is very generous. We were able to eat and become full with half the portion. My spicy chicken was good. The chicken wasn’t dry and had a nice spice level to it. Two very large scoops of rice lay beneath the chicken. It also came with a salad and a ranch base dressing on the side. I didn’t really care for the dressing but the chicken and lettuce together is also a good combination. My boyfriend didn’t like his pad Thai. He mentioned that the noodles were really wet and had an off taste. I tried some and agreed something was off. The noodles could have been stir fried a little longer so they could be softer and for more of the sauce to coat and absorb into them. We both agreed that we would definitely not order that dish again. Overall, it was an ok lunch. Really nothing to write home about. The staff was very friendly and I’d recommend to anyone looking for a big portion of average Asian food.

House of Thai Cuisine – Menu with Prices – 4582 Cumberland Rd, Fayetteville

6/25/2019: I had to update my review because House of Thai more than deserves the fifth star. Their food is just so dang good. I’ve tried a few other Thai places in Fayetteville over the last few days and nowhere held a candle to House of Thai. This time I ordered the Tom Kha medium spice and the Drunken Noodles hot spice. And holy wow!! I am food drunk right now this was so good. The curry the other day was definitely delicious, but I think it was maybe just a little too busy last Friday for them to be able to really put the magic into their cooking that I was lucky enough to receive today. 6/21/2019: I am personally a Thai fanatic. And I’d definitely come back to this place. That being said, it was by no means the best Thai I’ve ever had, but it was by no means anywhere close to the worst. I’m giving four stars because the service was good, the food came fast, fresh, and hot, and the spice level was fair. Overall, my expectations of Fayetteville Thai, at a restaurant with few reviews have been exceeded. I ordered the green curry with chicken with medium spice. Sometimes I order medium spice at other restaurants and it’s like they forgot to even salt the food it lacks so much spice. But the spice level here was really good. I love spicy food, and after eating a bit my nose started to run and I had that little bit of tinlge on my lips. The curry itself was pretty standard. It wasn’t anything exceptional, but I would definitely eat it again. Overall, I would recommend House of Thai to my friends.
