I think this place makes good spirits. I think the tasting room while clean and air conditioned lacks as an experience. I was asking about the spirits they had poured and instead of telling me about the spirits, they told me to read the plastic description card at the center of the table. They were a little busy, but not very. When I asked more questions, I couldn’t tell if they were being cagey and hesitant because the information was proprietary and they didn’t want to share it, or if they just didn’t want to talk about it. I just wanted to learn about their spirits and what made them unique and theirs. They did forget to bring me the cocktail I ordered, but that was an honest mistake any of us could have made. All and all, I just wanted someone passionate to talk to me and get me excited about their products.

Missouri Spirits – Menu with Prices – 507 W Walnut St, Springfield

What a major find. Our party had two MSU students who knew nothing about this place. They’ve been to Springfield Brewery around the corner dozens of times, but they never paid attention to the nondescript gray box up the street. Wow, what a mistake. Missouri Spirits is incredible.First and foremost, this is a distillery and not a restaurant or bar. They make their own bourbon, corn whiskey, and vodka. Like a craft brewery, they have added a drinking room where they serve their products. An extensive drink menu has been assembled, and it’s awesome. While they have the three base spirits listed above, they have created several infused versions that have set for weeks and some cases months. The straight spirits and infused spirits are used to create a cornucopia of mixed drinks. What I loved the most about our visit was Ashley & Carl. They worked the bar. They knew their spirits inside and out. Sitting at the bar talking with them about each drink and infusion was wonderful. They often gave little tastes to support their claim. We tried several mixed drinks and straight samples over the course of the night. I really loved everything about it.The interior look of this place is great. The wide open room has gray walls, rough board tables, whiskey barrels, and a brick bar. Lights are strung here and there to give it character. You’ll love the look of this place. They do offer a bit of food. The handmade guacamole and chips were perfect for us. I think they have a sandwich offering, but I might be wrong.Carl and Ashely told us this place is very popular for events. Sometimes they have live music. When that happens it packs the place. This is a place to visit to learn and enjoy spirits. The employees are excited to share their knowledge. Ask lots of questions and they get more and more engaged as you explore their offerings. This place rocks!

Wake Technical Community College – Menu with Prices – 9101 Fayetteville Rd, Raleigh

very annoying my spouse went in there 3 times for nothing. she just wanted general information regardinging certification classes. first time she went in there they said they needed her transcripts to he able to speak to somone like an advisor. second time they made her do an application and asked for more information she didnt have with her, why they didnt tell her in the first place is beyond me. third time she sits down with an advisor and they gave her price for a classes but couldnt give her details regarding the programs. throughout this whole process multiple people approached her as though they were selling off of commission. the advisor couldnt even tell her if the courses are for preparation for the certification, do get a certification with these courses and if they even offer the certification test? waste of time. period. and fyi if your going to have advisors and staff trying to sell students atleast have a better process as well as make sure they are prepared with information when questions are asked. Lastly, after all of this can you believe they enrolled her classes! the bs. i swear. not even telling her they enrolled her in classes for an associate’s program when she had informed everyone along the way that she has already graduated with a BBA. cant believe this.

Twin Spirits Distillery & Twin Spirits M Coffee Shop – Menu with Prices – 2931 Central Ave NE, Minneapolis

I visited this establishment in the company of my parents and sister. I am 35 and forgot my ID. I was carded and told I could not partake in the enjoyment of adult beverages. Fine. I’ll have a water. My parents and sister order cocktails. The drinks are served. I grab my dad’s Sazerac and raise it to my nose yearning to enjoy just a pleasurable waft of the forbidden concoction. Yet this experience, an innocent attempt to appreciate these purportedly fine spirits in a manner still legally possible at this stage, was violently trumped by the manager yelling at me scornfully from across the bar, “Don’t! Don’t! You cannot drink without an ID!”. And so I was denied even an olfactory testimonial of this watering hole’s home-crafted product. Ashamed, criminalized and melting under the stares of other patrons, I set the drink back down on the table and slumped like a sad stooge on my stool. I will not return, ever. Not even with my ID. Because this place is not about fancy firewater as I had hoped. Yep, forget all about coming here for premium spirits! Forget all about distillation! Only professionally impure, mean, power-tripping spirits are to be found on these premises! Take your thirst far from here, my friends! For here spirits are crushed and not distilled and for here one’s thirst for a bit of joy is never to be quenched!

GEO Pressed Juice & Wellness – Menu with Prices – 8126 Floyd St, Overland Park

The owner was so kind and very passionate about his products. Adam was very educated and informed me about all the benefits of the juice blends. It was really difficult to make just once choice because all the combinations of fresh ingredients are all just too good to be true. Had unique recipes that I haven’t seen anywhere else. The bottles are packaged well, they appear small at first but don’t let your eye fool you, they’re a solid 8 or 16 oz servings which is plenty when you have high quality ingredients. They also offer wellness plans for detox or just to amp up your body’s over all health. Another rare aspect is they offer a delivery service as well with some of these plans. I got the tetrahedron and it tasted amazing. Super excited to re-visit and hopefully they expand to others regions soon.

Fine Wine & Good Spirits Menu with Prices 1918 W Allen St, Allentown

Fine wine and spirits. Used to be called Pennsylvania state stores. Shelves are always filled, staff is always ready to help you with your questions, never a long check-out line. Some or most of them have wine tasting on Fridays between 4 and 6. You can learn a lot about wine by tasting from different countries. If I had one complaint at all about fine wine and spirits is that they would carry a bigger variety of Liquors example scotch bourbon Etc all in all it’s a good store though

Yamazushi Japanese Restaurant – Menu with Prices – 4711 Hope Valley Rd #6a, Durham

Having lived in Japan this place has always been on my radar but the price was holding me back. I was a poor Airmen while living there so I never got the chance to experience anything like this. The one thing that I did learn was that, the Japanese culture pays boundless amounts of attention to detail and no amount of effort is too great when making food. We wanted to dine on a Friday or Saturday night which took us about 3 months to reserve. After reading some reviews I was fully aware that I would need to wear slippers once entering but what I did not know was, we were the only ones dining that evening (reservations @ 7pm). The wife (I did not catch her name) was impeccable. She offered the perfect balance of information without going into too much detail unless we asked questions. We were left to enjoy each course at our leisure, which ended up being just over 2 hours. I was slightly worried some of the food would be too authentic. I had several dishes overseas that were out of my comfort zone but none of that was seen here. I highly recommend getting the sake flight. What’s another $96 after the $220 you are already spending? Each one was unique, the portions were ample and you are given a small bottle to take home with you. I felt fortunate we were able to dine during the spring as many of the items we received were from the Chef’s garden. As for the food in general, we were blown away. It is as if I have never eaten scallops before. They just melted in your mouth, zero chewing required. Each item was simple, beautify displayed, and delicious. If I am going to make my husband spend this kind of money, I want it to be worth it and I can honestly say it was worth the $400 (with tip). I am hesitant to say this but our dinner here was the best meal we have ever had. The whole experience is unique and if you have the time and money, I would put this place on your short list of must-trys.

Slow Food UW – Menu with Prices – 1127 University Ave, Madison

One of the benefits to working on campus is the proximity to Slow Food. If you need more information, they do have a Facebook page that is updated while they are running. I have been going to their cafe on Wednesday afternoons for years now. I have never once had a bad meal. With an ever-changing menu and the dedicated student volunteers, you will always be able to have a unique experience. I can’t say enough about their farm-to-table philosophy, utilizing the most local ingredients available. The continually strive to educate people on the benefits of local food and communicate where all of their food comes from. This integrity of this concept also draws in many guest chefs, giving them a platform to share a unique menu with the community. Not only is the food amazing and the premise solid, but the meals are very inexpensive. This allows more people to take part. And for those that cannot afford it, they started a pay-it-forward option. If you are able and inclined, you can pay for an extra meal to help cover the meals for those less fortunate. How do you beat good food, a commitment to the local community, and the dedication to be available for everybody? To be honest, I’m not sure you can.

Pierre’s Brooklyn Pizza & Deli Menu with Prices 964 Kenmore Blvd, Akron

I am at a lost of words for this review. This is a special place to get your food. I usually get the X-Large Loaded Pie (Extra Crispy) I was hesitant when I seen the price but when I received the pizza and I had to put it in my trunk (only place it would fit) I was getting excited to get back to work and share this. We made it back in one piece and began the process of eating to much. This was the best pizza I have ever had and was cooked just right. You could taste the passion Pierre puts into his food. The pizza is not the only thing to eat the Italian Sub is mouth watering. This sub will last you a whole weekend. If you are ordering two subs to share with someone just order one because you will not be able to finish it. This is a perfect hole in the wall pizza joint!

Monroe Vapor – Menu with Prices – 3101 Pablo Kisel Blvd ste B5, Brownsville

In my honest opinion I have tried their products and it is top notch. Awesome customer service and a karaoke stage you can’t beat that. Chill vape and have some fun it’s a great atmosphere to be at. They are very knowledgeable about the products they sell and their house juice is so good. So yeah anyone in the area I would defiantly recommend this place if you are looking to quit smoking or looking for vape products.

DAB Hemp Cafe – Menu with Prices – 105 Warren St, San Antonio

This shop is truly one of a kind! Down to earth local shop that has a special place in my heart from now on! Dab is a unique shop with a nice variety of not only cbd products such as flower, tinctures and creams that can be used for a variety of individual needs. Their juices are one of the many amazing mixtures that make them very unique! As for their recipes, you can truly tell how dedicated they are when you have a sip of any of their delicious drinks. My personal favorite is the Nitro coffee with their special sweetener mix! Just ask for half n half! So in love with their Purple Reign , it’s a lavender tea made with alkaline water and it is absolutely a godsend! I usually pick up one coffee to start my day and end my night with one lavender tea! Oh and don’t forget the double shot if you please. Each drink starts off with 20mg of cbd and each shot equals 20mg of cbd. There knowledge, information and hospitality is not something you’ll find some place else. Niles City Hall Saloon – Menu with Prices – 112 E Exchange Ave, Fort Worth

This was an extraordinary experience. We were just walking by and decided to stop in for a drink and left two hours later with new friends and an education in craft cocktails, liquors, mixers and bartending. We tasted hand crafted drinks we didn’t know existed or could exist and tasted our favorite drinks like never before. Fabian the bartender is passionate about what he does, educated as to why drinks are made certain ways instead of others, friendly, polite and classy. This was truly a unique experience that I’ll never forget.
