I finally made it to the local Beehive. I have been to another location but never had I been to the one that’s right on my side of town. I was prompted by a coupon, a buy 1, 2nd half off. As the couple salads I have gotten in the past at a Beehive seemed over priced I was glad to get a hook up. after some easy parking I came in at what seemed the perfect time, there was no line, and about 4 customers were just finishing up and the near the end of the line, at the register. But all 4 employees stayed down there, presumably 4 employees getting a bowl ready, 1 per person. When a nice guy did come down, he got right to prepping my couple of bowls. I got the mixed greens and spinach. It wasn’t much of either, but seemed pretty fresh. The next station was a veg, so I got a green bean and a broccoli. then next station was a meat so I got chicken and an additional of serving of tuna(2 dollars additional). with some dressing handed to me at the end I was set. We dug into the bowls, fairly happy with the ingredients. the salad parts, the vegetables the meat, pretty good. I thought the tuna was just ok, but pretty good overall. I thought the small portions compared to the price seemed out of wack. Overall it’s a good bite, good service, I just don’t dig the portion versus price. With a coupon, I will probably stop back in.

Koi Poke – Waterfront – Menu with Prices – 7135 E Camelback Rd Suite 175, Scottsdale

I am a big fan of poke bowls and this restaurant just blew me out of the water. When I saw the available selection of Yellowtail and Hawaiian Tuna, I was sold. Yellowtail is my favorite type of sushi fish and I’ve noticed that it is seldom offered at most poke places, or they charge additional for it. Same goes for Hawaiian Tuna. They have a unique choice of sauces, so I chose the ponzu while my friends chose the regular Shoyu and the champagne butter (very interesting). We filled our poke bowls with lots of goodness. Might I add that their servings are generous!? Most places are very picky with how much of a topping you’ll be getting but I literally got a big ol’ scoop of Masago, and it tasted pretty damn good with the Yellowtail and Hawaiian Tuna. I ate the ENTIRE bowl when I didn’t think I could finish it but it was just that good. $11 was well worth the price. On top of that, the restaurant is pretty spacey and the restrooms are clean. I’ll definitely be getting poke here the next time I’m in Phoenix!

CoreLife Eatery – Menu with Prices – 407 W Coliseum Blvd, Fort Wayne

Drove up about 7:30 and to was excited to see the patio half full of diners and a few inside. This was my first time here. I was so curious as to what it is all about. Private parking. Lot shared by other business. Easy to get in and out of from coliseum. Hard to see if you’re traveling east on coliseum though and easily passable if you’re not paying attention. Very contemporary outside and in. Modern decorations and seating line the walls. It’s also freezing inside so grab a sweatshirt if you run cold like me. There are tables and booths and bar tables with high stools to choose from. Walking in the order line is kind of confusing on where to go to order. The menu board is placed on the wall and is huge so all can read. What I don’t like about it, and there are a few other eateries that are like this too, is once up to the order line you have to know what you want and make sure you want everything in your bowl. TIP: you can swap out ingredients if you don’t like something. There are three sizes to choose from and about 4 different kinds to choose from as far as a rice, noodle, broth or salad base. Pre chosen recipes are already on the board, TIP you can create your own. Once you’ve decided what you want you move on down the food assembly line watching what they do and add. My bowl maker asked me lots of questions but it moved quick. Lighting quick so be ready to know if any changes you want to make. Next up is choosing a drink which only consist of homemade teas and lemonades and will run you $3.09 after tax. Add your bowl and mine ran $15 after tax!! Really? WTH!!!! Good thing I had a coupon because that is insane. I got a salad base and they load the bowl up with salad and the veggies and then a small 2 oz meat scoop was placed ontop. While the bowl was super fresh dressing was amazing and all the veggies were perfect there was not enough protein on top to even taste. When done paying you sit and eat. While I love their patio idea the tray station where you put your tray silverware and bowl was overflowing, trash falling out of the container and there was trash on the concrete itself. Inside want better. The treat station was just as dirty. Food scrapings that missed the hole, trays and bowls piled up etc. the inside tables were just as dirty. Several weren’t wiped down and the employee told me salt and pepper grinders were on the tables. Looking for one there were three tables that had them and they were all empty. Don’t finish what you eat? They’re are self device to go stations. Literally the employees make the food and they’re done. Overall the food was awesome and if less expensive I’d go often. The decor was meh but the cleanliness was disgusting. I visited the bathroom and it was much of the same thing. Go, try it and then love the food. Pay Ceiling high prices and feel healthy.

Athena Express – Menu with Prices – 2133 Kaliste Saloom Rd, Lafayette

Best Greek food in Lafayette hands down! You’d be surprised, but this is the best gas station food I have ever eaten! It is my go to when I’m not feeling something fried. It’s very fresh and the employees are sure to pile your plate with food. I always order the Chicken Salad with the dressing on the side. I feel like they drench it in too much dressing, so I like to do it myself. The portions are big enough to eat for two meals. Which I usually do that. If you’re looking for good Greek food then this is the place to go!! I guarantee you will not be disappointed. I will definitely be back!

Peruvian Ceviches – Menu with Prices – 1570 W 43rd Pl Suite 20, Hialeah

Worst service I have ever received by the two ladies working at the restaurant Veronica R. I Came with a BOGO coupon but they wouldn’t honor it. It was in English so they couldn’t figure it out and decided it was okay to tell me all the rules of previous coupons they have offered in the past. I cut them off and explained that has nothing to do with my coupon, please read it. But they wouldn’t admit they couldn’t read English, that lead to a back and forth of verbal insults between the 3 of us, what a waste of time. instead of just honoring the coupon and be on everyone’s day. No they had to call the owner which had no idea either about this coupon. Causing a show and scene in front of a family having lunch. I will never set foot in here or recommend this to anyone. At the end of it all the owner honored the coupon but the damage has been done. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. Those two employees are horrible at dealing with people and playing the victim when if they would have READ the coupon instead of fighting with me none of this would have happened.

Maguro Brothers Hawaii – Menu with Prices – 415 Nāhua St, Honolulu

The chutoro and tuna was really fresh and service was good just the price I think it is a little expensive for 6 pieces of chutoro over rice for $20. The Small sashimi platter was decent size but the 5 pieces of octopus comes with it was not fresh. It tasted and smell fishy! I came here on Friday at 7PM and there are about 15 people in front of me. The line move slowly because ever items I’d made freshly by order. Once you order and pay for it, you have to wait outside another 10-20 minutes for it to be made. So it took me about 40 minutes total for it. We order 4 times total $73 which I think it is way too expensive. I don’t think one portion can be fulfillment for those who is a big eater or for dinner. I was eating seafoods and appetizer from other place before going here so for me it is enough. But if you expected to eat this one portion for dinner than I don’t think it is enough! Overall, it is located next to the International market. The tuna was very fresh and since it is a family own you can tell that the whole is family is there. Line moves very slow! Price is a little high. I would come back for the chutoro if there is no line. By the way, they open Monday through Saturday 5:30PM to 10PM only. Close on Sunday and holiday!

Panda express – Menu with Prices – 935 W Southern Ave, Phoenix

I went around lunch time, and surprisingly, it wasn’t as busy as I thought it would be. My order was taken quickly and handed to me quickly. A separate woman (who was very nice) handed me back my change. I handed them a $10 after the woman at the window told me my total was $5 and some change. I didn’t check until I arrived back at work, but they had given me someone else’s receipt and the wrong change on top of that. I figured I’d be getting $4 something back– instead I got back 3 dollars, which I hadn’t realized because the change was handed back to be in a wad. Anyways, the receipt that was handed back to me implied I’d only get a few cents back in change. I was confused by the whole situation, and didn’t have time to drive back, as I was on lunch. Just another reminder that we, as customers, not only have to check our bags to make sure we have all our food, but we also have to start checking receipts apparently.

Mill Creek Station & Catering – Menu with Prices – 200 Hawthorne Ave SE # E500, Salem

We stopped by Mill Creek Station to pick up some soup in the middle of our Spring Break activities. We were greeted immediately, ordered our soup, salads, and desserts (brownies and lemon bars). Waited a short 10 minutes and a box arrived with our yummy lunch tucked inside. She carried the box out to our car and we were on our way. When we arrived at home, we were pleased to find bowls of soup (I had ordered two cups and one bowl), Two full size salads (pasta and my favorite – tomato and cucumber), enough carrot packs to feed a small army of rabbits, not just three slices of bread to accompany our soups, but an entire sliced loaf of Great Harvest honey wheat. One extra brownie was tucked in there, as well as several packages of oyster crackers. She asked my granddaughter to pick out a couple of bags of chips, which turned in to three. What a pleasant surprise! We have been picking up soup here for lunch 10-12 times a year. I have never had a bad meal. The food is consistently good and today we were blessed with an additional bounty of extras. We LOVE Mill Creak Station! (I would LOVE, LOVE, LOVE them if I could decipher the dressing on the tomato/cucumber salad ?

MIKA?S GREEK – Menu with Prices – 3118 S Mill Ave, Tempe

Iâ??ll admit that I would be considered a difficult customer. I had a coupon that I thought would be valid (as I called the store the previous day), so Iâ??m sure I created undue stress because of that. Nevertheless, I can discern the reason for the misunderstanding where there was confusion on the validity of the coupon. While I thought about leaving to go elsewhere due to my disappointment with the invalid coupon, I did decide to stay, and am glad that I did. The food was served very quickly (which was fortunate as I was in a bit of a hurry, which Iâ??m sure contributed to me being a difficult customer) to all of my preferences. Iâ??ll be honest that the portion was a little small, but it still was enough to be satisfying. In addition, it was noticeably fresh and tasty, that allowed me to have a satisfactory dining experience. Most importantly, I have to admire the ownerâ??s ability to stay patient with me while I was creating an issue, along with everything else he was doing to operate the store by himself.

Homeport Foot Massage – Menu with Prices – 2116 Everett Ave, Everett

I received a coupon in the mail so I thought we’d check it out. Went inside and asked for 2 foot massages and presented her the coupon. They chatted back and forth for a few minutes which was kind of awkward, then told me the coupon wasn’t for this place (it had their address on it) I said ok whatever, we’d like foot massages… by now 5 minutes of back and forth between the 2 women had gone on and they said that it was only 1 of the women working (not sure what the other girl was doing) so they needed to call someone else in since there were two of us. By this point it was even more uncomfortable so we left to go to our usual spot in Mukilteo…. I’m not sure if they just did not want to honor the coupon, or because we are female but it was sketchy..

The Royal Crab Calabash Seafood Buffet – Menu with Prices – 610 N Kings Hwy, Myrtle Beach

Let’s start with the price. I read that it was 19.99 per person if you didn’t have crab legs, well it’s the “in season” so that doesn’t apply. Roughly 30 a person for anyone over 12. 6-12 was 19.99, and there were 7 of us.. luckily I found a coupon in one of the books for 4 dollars off each adult. Next- the service. There were three people standing at the front when we went in, the host and two servers. One server looks at the other and says ” I’m not waiting on that party” okay- whatever. The lady that served us was training someone else.. but they were very kind and attentive. I’m sure our server was happy to have our tip. Finally- the food. NOT worth 30 dollars a person. I went specifically for the seafood– I mean, I’m at the beach, no better place for seafood right? Wrong! I understand seafood is naturally salty, but it seemed like they poured lots of salt on top of that. They advertise over 100 items.. not even close. I didn’t try the crab legs, although I should have for the price.. so I can’t comment on those. The cheaper price is initially what drove me here, but I will not be returning.

Golden Corral Buffet & Grill – Menu with Prices – 115 Simon Dr, Syracuse

I’ve dined only once at Golden Corral and that was in Lake George NY a couple years ago. The experience was OK- this second time in Syracuse was much better. This new location has a modern, updated decor compared to their other locations, it is spacious, clean and inviting. Everything suddenly looks a lot more appetizing when you are in a nice environment. We were here on a Saturday evening and the place was packed. This is a relatively new restaurant in the area so it seems like the hottest place in town. As with other Golden Corrals, you pay for your food in advance, there was a bit of line to get in but considering the size of this restaurant, they are able to fit in a lot of people. There was no delay to be seated. We came here specifically for the never ending sirloin, ribs and shrimp promotion going on. I was really impressed at the steaks being served, these are real cuts of meat being grilled fresh infront of you and to your liking. The sirloin was juicy, tender and really flavorful, I can’t imagine anything being this cheap back home – for around 16$ a person in the evening, you can eat well. The best items were the meat and fried chicken- everything tasted fresh and when they ran out, they were quick to refill. The shrimp however was breaded so you can’t eat too much or you’ll get full fast. I tasted a few sides, made my own salad and sampled a couple desserts, the chocolate chip cookies were standout, these were incredibly soft and decadent. The brownies were fudgy and moist, cakes were hit or miss. I loved that they have a cotton candy machine, this was such a fun treat. Perfect to bring home with you as they are served in a plastic bag. As with all buffets, there are some things better than others- but for the price, and for casual american dining, it is perfect for families and picky eaters. There’s items you can easily eat to get your money’s worth. Juicy steak, fried chicken and ribs COME ON! There are weekday discounts and senior prices too, very affordable. Plus, if you sign up for the Golden Corral club online, you get a coupon for a free beverage (drinks are otherwise an additional charge).

Pulp Lifestyle Kitchen Liberty Park – Menu with Prices – 439 E 900 S, Salt Lake City

Visiting SLC and looking for a healthy option for a late lunch, this place fit the bill! The bento bowl with ahi tuna and green tea noodles was packed with nutrients. The tuna was a little fishier than I would have liked, and I would HIGHLY recommend getting the cilantro lime dressing on the side because my bowl was drowning in dressing, nearly to the point of inedibility. Which is a shame because I really liked the other ingredients (save the fishy tuna) and would have liked to let them shine a lot more. I also got the dirty chocolate chai hot with skim, and it was absolutely fantastic. I absolutely love their focus on sustainability. Even their smoothies are served in glass cups with straws optional (though they do have compostable to-go options of course). Prices were on point for what they were serving. A similar meal at my favorite spot in my hometown (Columbus OH) would be at least 30% pricier. So in summary, I absolutely recommend this place, but learn from my mistake on the dressing!
