Unfortunately I made the mistake of assuming this was a food truck. Generally when something is described as a pop up restaurant that is because they’re mobile. But this is an actual sit down establishment located at the Bakersfield Racquet Club. I am being generous with my review because my son and I arrived 15 minutes to close time. As I already mentioned, I assumed this was a food truck and we would order at the window and be on our way. I would have never shown up that close to closing had I known it to be a dine in. Strike 1: there are no signs indicating this is the Angry Barnyard so it is very hard to find. All of the signs call this place Match Point Grill. I assume that is the requirement of the building, but that’s crap and if I were the owner of the Angry Barnyard I’d find a new place to conduct my business. Strike 2: our server was very rude and I am sure it is because we came in so late. I understand her situation, but being passive aggressive and rude to your customers is not an appropriate way to handle things. I immediately recognized her frustration and asked her to give us our food in to go boxes. I would prefer eat outside in 100 degree weather than deal with someone’s career choice woes. Strike 3: they were out of tri-tip. Again, I came in late, but that is a bummer because my son ordered a French dip that may have been amazing with tri-tip, but came with roast beef instead and was sub par. Strike 4: the other food wasn’t great either. My veggie panini had soggy vegetables and that just ruins the entire sandwich. Most likely this is due to the reheating of already cooked veggies and that’s too bad because it takes 7 minutes to freshly cook some zucchini and red onion, but makes the food 1000 times better. Particularly the aioli sauce on the barnyard style fries was not good. It wasn’t a true aioli sauce, but an olive oil mayonnaise with some lemon. Other than that the toppings were good. But, the fries themselves were not. The price here is good, we walked out with 2 to go orders for $20. I suppose if you are already at the Racquet club and want to grab something to eat this is alright. However, I won’t be going out of my way to return. There are excellent eatery’s in Bakersfield and this just isn’t one of them.

Azuls Taco House – Menu with Prices – 1142 Edgewater St NW, Salem

Very underwhelming. I wouldnt call these authentic, only because I spend a great deal of time in Mexico (about every 6 weeks) and they arent even close. I could see how those who arent familer would call these “street tacos”. I Ordered the shrimp tacos. Tortilla is great and shrimp were cooked nice but wasnt very good. The shrimp is cooked in a style that I would put on a Po’boy, not in a taco. Cabbage “filler” needs some flavor, specifically a little cilantro and onions, maybe a sauce in with it. It had diced tomato that didnt add flavor and were mushy. Didn’t care for chipotle aioli sauce that came on shrimp. Ordered a side of chips and salsa and were served a tiny side of completly stale tostitos style chips and a cilantro tasting salsa that wasnt very good either. We thought it was a free sample till we realized that was the chip order. I would say slightly embarrassed that is what they are offering. I appreciate what they’re attempting but I have had better at various taco trucks around town.

Chellas Arepa Kitchen – Menu with Prices – 1830 Hempstead Rd, Lancaster

So after 2 months of over thinking about going to this place I finally made the plan and time to go and try some Arepas. Oh boy if I’m glad we did, of course first I made sure they were open til 7pm because first I wanted to do some shopping in Lancaster. So after walking around I decided to drive here and first thing I noticed as soon as we get out of the truck the wonderful smell. We wanted to sample a little bit of everything so we ordered a Pernil, a Chicken and a Lomito saltado one. Also we ordered some yuca. And the sauces we decided to try all three the chimichurri the aioli and the angry llama. Ok the arepas hands down are so delicious and to my honest opinion this is the best latin food I’ve had here in Harrisburg Lancaster area. While every kind of Arepa has its own exquisite and unique flavor my favorite was the Pernil the pork was just so flavorful and tender and delicious. It went perfect with a mix of the aioli and the angry llama. My second favorite was the Lomito saltado it had so much flavor and the way they mixed all the ingredients was just fantastic last but not least the chicken one really really good the chicken was so tender and juicy and has a delicious taste. The yuca was amazing just the right crunchy and delicious it went perfect with all sauces. What else can I say This place it’s an absolute winner and can’t wait to go back and have some delicious food and enjoy the outdoor seating with a cold Sangria and some super amazing Arepas. Keep cooking this delicious food please! And of course I will recommend them! Try something different and enjoy!

Red Robin Gourmet Burgers and Brews – Menu with Prices – 4605 South Landing Way, Tucson

Red Robin – Where the food is just OK, the service is really bad and the management customer service is nice. My daughter and I arrived early to beat the crowds and hopefully have a decent meal with decent service. We beat the crowds since it wasn’t even half full yet. We ordered our drinks and the short stack of onion rings (6 rings). My drink came out quickly, but since my daughter ordered one of the Cream Sodas and it took longer for her to receive hers. After about 10 minutes after my daughter received her drink her burger showed up. She had ordered the Pigout Tavern Double Burger with their in house made chips. 10 minutes later the manager came by and told us that there was something wrong and that she would pay for the onion tower short stack. At which point she asked what I had ordered. Wait a minute, you mean to tell me that I placed my order 20 minutes ago and our onion rings 30 minutes ago and you just now tell me something was wrong. I reminded her that I had ordered the Guacamole Bacon Burger with Chipotle Aioli for my side salad. Well my burger finally showed up but instead of a container full of Chipotle Aioli, there was hardly any, maybe a quarter full (and that is stretching it). I was well into my burger when our appetizer finally showed up and my daughter was almost done with hers. They were very hot, but super greasy. The onion rings came with full containers of ranch dressing and their Camp-Fire Mayo dipping sauces. Kind of what I was expecting with the Chipotle Aioli. Maybe the Chipotle Aioli is made of gold and the 50 cent up charge for the Chipotle Aioli only gives you so much. Bottomless sides means bottomless fries. As I mentioned before I had a side salad and my daughter had the chips. We got more fries. But how can I get more fries, if I didn’t want fries. What about more chips? Or a refill on my salad with some more of that rare Chipotle Aioli. Sodas were supposed to be unlimited as well, but we were limited to one each. So, overall the food was just ok. The burgers only ok and the guacamole was spread so thin that I hardly noticed it was there. The chips were very dark (almost burnt) and had no flavor. I guess if you wanted you could have paid for some dipping sauce, but we saw how well that work with the Chipotle Aioli. It was nice the manager covered our onion rings, but there were other issue here that they need to take care of. Maybe they were a bit short staffed tonight, but when you watch her punch in the order at the table on a little handheld device, how do you lose two thirds of our order? I think after this experience we will pass on going back again.

Cabrillo Park Cafe – Menu with Prices – 4949 Stevenson Blvd L, Fremont

FIRST THING TO KNOW IS 3%. I will explain at the end. We came yesterday for a late breakfast and there were a lot of people. We did get seated appropriately and they he manager was nice and accommodating. 1. We waited a while to order. Granted they are busy, I get it. 2. They brought out our food and the waitress said somebody took my order. She offered to replace it with a similar one that was there but to add the one item my order had and the replace order didn’t. I opted for my order because it is really what I wanted. Strike 1 3. She brings out a plate, puts it in front of me then realizes it is not right takes it away. Strike 2 Ok, I appreciate the honesty to admit a mistake was made but this is getting ridiculous. 4. She brings out my order and I say that I ordered the omelette with hash browns and not home fries. She then shows me her receipt saying Home Fries. I would never say home fries because I really do not like big chunks of fried potatoes. Then she says do you want the hash browns? I say never mind. This will do. And I say this because it has been a while and my family is finishing their meal. Strike 3, I’m done. 5. She then brings out hash browns and says we want to make you happy. 6. Now for the 3%. They charge you 3% if you pay by credit card. Hey how is not explained when you walk in and it is not on the menu. So I ask the manager and he shows me this tiny sign below the counter that they charge 3% for credit card purchases. Dude. Bump you prices by 3%. I don’t usually complain but this was not a good experience. The food was just ok. My son got pancakes and they were rubbery. He did not even finish them. But the bacon was crispy and delicious. I give it 2 stars for the service and that they were honest. And seeing an added 3% was like a kick in the nuts because not only did I have a bad experience, now I have to pay more for paying with a card. Aaarrggh. I am frustrated just typing this out.

La Boca Loca – Latin Inspired Grill – Menu with Prices – 3903 99 St NW, Edmonton

We came for a late lunch on a Friday and was pleasantly surprised at how busy it was – the sign on the door said they closed at 2:30 for a while before opening for dinner again, but they remained open as people still came in after us. The restaurant itself it painted in dark blue so it feels a little dark inside although there are plenty of windows at the front. Interesting art on the walls and an open kitchen behind the bar. Service was friendly and we were given a bottle of water while we looked over the menu. We ordered the Chacarero ($15.95) which is a steak sandwich with fries or a salad, and the Choripan ($12.95), sausage on a bun with fries or salad. We both wanted fries because it was going to come with a chili garlic aioli, but when we got our food, we were told they did not have any more aioli :(. The steak was fine, a little chewy and a bit overcooked, but very flavourful. Served on a bun with sliced tomato, cold green beans and a hearty amount of mayo, it was an interesting combination. The chorizo was delicious – loved the flavour, the texture and the size was decent. Served on a toasted bun with a cup of diced tomato & onion, it was good. Needed a little something extra though – maybe some mayo or a sauce of some sort to give it a little more flavour. The fries were hot, crispy and had lots of paprika on them. Coke in glass bottles instead of fountain pop, which you don’t always see. Overall, a decent lunch.

Mayflower Chinese Restaurant Menu with Prices 3407 Greenmount Ave, Baltimore

Letâ??s be honest here, itâ??s a reason they have all the signs up. They are extremely rude. Instead of the driver calling, he honks his horn obnoxiously outside, mind you itâ??s late (how inconsiderate can you be). I asked why didnâ??t he call, and the buffoon raises his voice talking about he doesnâ??t have to call as if Iâ??m suppose to be waiting outside for his arrival. I called to inform the lady and she starts yelling on the phone about he called me and I didnâ??t answer. I told her I didnâ??t receive any calls and instead of apologizing for the misunderstanding and tone of voice (because I definitely didnâ??t call being rude) she wants to blame it on me and hang up in my ear. Judging by the rest of the reviews, they gave up on customer service a long time ago. Theyâ??re tired of putting on a front so now theyâ??re showing people who they really are. Disrespectful human beings. These are the people we put our money into, we need to stop supporting them. They need to close down so that a more deserving business takes their place

Flavors Wings N Daiquiris (Flavors Wings, Daiquiris, & Catfish) Menu with Prices 5005 S Cooper St Suite 175, Arlington

Don’t get me wrong, the wings are hot and sized well. But a few problems with our experience. Fair warning, you can NOT order plains wings at all, no sauce on the side and no uncuncoated wings. Period. It’s a little weird but okay, we went with it. I ordered a combo with fries. Their “spicy garlic” is just buffalo sauce with garlic powder sprinkled on top. Kind of a let down. Honey mustard was nice. Ranch dressing wasnt anything to write home about. Can’t comment on the fries; I never got any. I went back to the counter and showed my receipt and the guy said he would take care of it. I ate my meal and my fries never came. This place definitely has a following, lots of people come in here and the people were friendly. But I’m not sure if I would recommend it.

Fusion Grillð??¥ – Menu with Prices – 1012 S Mason Rd, Katy

There’s a food truck park in Katy! There’s a food truck park in Katy! (sung in a silly voice while doing a happy dance). Not just ONE truck, but THREE!!!! I’m told more will be coming, too, for summer! ? So now abut Fusion Grill – there are places you go back to just because the owner is that nice, that determined to succeed. Even if the food was “meh” (which it is NOT) this would be one of those places. +1 star We started with the garlic parmesan fries. I could wax poetic about those fries ~ perfectly crisp, fresh scallions that burst with flavor, the right amount of garlicy goodness sauce, and those sprinkles of fresh parmesan. This is garlic parmesan ANYTHING at it’s best. The fries lasted maybe 2 minutes and that was 2 of us eating, mumbling about how good they were, smiling, and gobbling up more. +2 stars (Oh, and their regular fries were really good too.) Bacon. Yeah, yeah every burger place has bacon, but NOT bacon of this quality and taste. On the fantastic bacon alone there’s a star to be awarded. +1 star Burgers cooked to order, hot, fresh, and actually exactly as we ordered (ok, one came with BBQ sauce on it instead of on the side). Um, perfectly cooked plantains? Oh yes please!! Chopped steak burgers (real steak, not fatty gristle)? Oh yes please!! +1 star I look forward to trying just about everything on their menu. They have a nicely lit, covered seating area (picnic style benches) with music playing. It’s a nice set up. GO! Try!

Soulful Twist – Menu with Prices – 913 N 8th St, Wilmington

I had high expectations for this truck. Ordered pulled pork tacos and fries. I asked what type and size of fries were, the people inside the truck had looks of shear panic. Finally found out they were standard type medium size. I asked for them to be crisp. Four tacos, 1 order of fries was $17.00 Not bad if the quality was there. Taco shells standard 6 inch size had less than a tablespoon of pulled pork on them. I had to really try to know what the pork tasted like. The other items were hard to distinguish, based on the standard item served with pulled pork, I’m guessing it was a cabbage slaw. Again, too small amount to taste. The fries were limp, salty, not very good. I didn’t bother to go back to tell them since my discussion on the fries was not anything I wanted to do again. I would not seek this truck out or choose it from line of truck. Disappointing.

Osaka Hibachi & Sushi – Menu with Prices – 1530 Mercer University Dr #600, Macon

First time eating here was great. I didn’t have any complaints up until today. I called to place an order, & the lady was rude. Strike one. . .anywho so I asked for three steak & shrimp plates. All while she’s rushing to get me off the phone, she repeats the order without confirming that I asked for shrimp as well. So again, I repeat myself asking for steak AND SHRIMP!! Strike two. . .So I get there to pick the food up & I politely say hey, I called in an order of three Hibachi steak AND SHRIMP plates. Mind you she doesn’t even speak, but had the audacity to look at the receipt confirming the order allowing me to believe the order was correct when she knew it wasn’t!! (I didn’t know until I got home I didn’t have shrimp & hell I shouldn’t have to check the plates when the order should have been correct to begin with!) So anywho, STRIKE MUHFRIGGIN THREE! ! If her attitude wasn’t so STANK, she probably would’ve gotten the order right. Lucky I wasn’t charged for it because someone would have to run me my fade!!! Now I gotta give my coins to someone else. Y’all almost had me as a regular, but she blew it smh

Seasoning 63 – Menu with Prices – 2513 Old 63 S #103, Columbia

Good food. TERRIBLE TERRIBLE TERRIBLE customer service. Delivery sucks and their manager is a jerk. Called to complain after order was an hour late (an hour AFTER the initial time promised it would be here, Which was 1.5 hours after placing the order). Called the restaurant 3 times to get help on where the order was…â?he went wrong way.â? â??He is on the wayâ? etc etc etc every excuse in the book. Driver finally called â??Hi. Come out to get your food.â? Other than that being rude for having food delivered, he wasnâ??t even by our apartment. Still had to wait. Asked for a discount and he said he didnâ??t know if they did that. Told us to sign receipt but both said customer copy and had no signature line. I called the restaurant again to ask for a discount for being an hour late and the lady handed the phone to the manager. He kept giving excuses and saying we must have ordered from door dash, which we didnâ??t. We ordered directly from the restaurant. Then I asked for the owners name so I could talk to someone above him. He asked what discount I wanted and kept laughing at me. I pointed out how incredibly rude it was to laugh at an angry customer and he laughed again. Then when I asked for owners name and when he would be in, the manager â??gene?â? Said he didnâ??t know when Loo was going to be there. I asked for the lady that I first spoke to and he said he didnâ??t know her name (yet heâ??s the manager?). He finally told me he would refund me half of the order price and I said ok, but when I told him I was angry that he was laughing and didnâ??t handle the situation well, he said he canâ??t talk to me anymore and handed me back to the lady. She said she would refund full price and they hung up. What a trip with these people. Good food, but man, thereâ??s good food with good service at tons of other places. Go to other places.

The Poke Cafe – Menu with Prices – 3910 W Vista Way #115, Oceanside

Terrible customer service!!! If I could leave 0 stars I would! I have never been treated so badly by restrauant in my entire life!!!! Don’t know who the old guy at the counter is, but he was extremely rude to me. When I said I was there for pickup he pointed to the drink fridge said “it’s in there”. I grabbed my food and looked at the bag to see if there was everything in it and he gruffly said, “The name is on it.” I was like, ummm ok… is there soy sauce in there. He said yes. On my way out I tried to grab an extra soy sauce and he told me I couldn’t have one, that it costs them money and everything I asked for was in the bag. I couldn’t believe he had just said that me so I said, “so I can’t have an extra soy sauce?” Basically in disbelief he would treat a customer that way, and he said no again! Then he asked if I was the customer and I said yes and he started to back pedal and say he thought I was a DoorDash person. I’m so angry I don’t even want to eat the food I just bought. NEVER COMING BACK HERE AGAIN! I don’t care how good the poke bowls are, (don’t know cuz I’m still shaking from anger,) but it is NOT OK TO TREAT PEOPLE THIS WAY! Even if I was a DoorDasher it’s still not ok to be so extremely rude to someone.
