This is a great hole in the wall type of bar. It’s a small place with 1 pool table, a balcony, and a yard with some games in it like corn hole. On Wednesday’s they do karaoke, which is always fun. I came here with my buddy who likes to do karaoke. Everyone in the bar was super friendly and welcoming. They have cans of PBR and other beers if you’re looking to drink on a budget. The place is a little hidden off of bel air road, next to a few stores. It’s a really good place to go if you and some friends are looking to just drink and relax a little bit.

The Ole Watering Hole – Menu with Prices – 4371 Thomasville Rd, Winston-Salem

This is a great local watering hole! It has come a long way since the last review. The carport is gone, and Greg (the owner) has built a nice deck out back, along with a stage and a fire pit. They have 2 pool tables and often serve free food. They don’t serve liquor, but they have a very good assortment of beers in cans, bottles, and on tap along with bootleggers, cider, twisted tea, etc. They often have excellent bands, pool tournaments, holiday parties, chili cookoffs, and host poker runs. Corn hole can be played outback or you can watch sports or relax on the deck or around the fire. Staff and patrons are all friendly. Once you hang out here, you will gain new friends! Another thing I like… the bathroom is always CLEAN. Don’t be afraid to come in when there are bikes parked out front…this is a friendly and safe place to hang out.

OLD TOWN KISSIMMEE – Menu with Prices – 5770 W Irlo Bronson Memorial Hwy, Kissimmee

Finally I made it to Old Town! I have passed by here a bunch of times on my many trips to Orlando. I usually tire myself going to the parks which does not allow extra time to check out other places in the area. This time around we had nothing planned to do except eat, shop and our hotel happened to be walking distance next door. Old Town is a strip mall and attraction area just offâ?? the 192 main highway road in Kissimmee. It looks and feels like a Western town straight out of a cowboy movie. It is a strip mall with small shops, bars, arcade, restaurants, magic theatre/store, tattoo shop, souvenir stores and carnival rides on both ends of the strips as well as having Fun Zone right next to them as well. Some of the bars have really inexpensive beers and drinks which is very good. We did not eat or drink here. The only place we spent our money was in the tattoo shop where my friend got a piercing. The tattoo shop was pretty awesome though, not going to lie. I came on a Wednesday in the day time. It was kind of empty and some stores were closed until night time. I saw some bars had Karaoke and live music on select nights. I can imagine how this place gets packed on nights and weekends. I would hang out here if I was a local and I would totally come back with my friends to hang out. I do however feel like the strip mall is lacking something. After reading a few other reviews I see Old Town used to have more character in other times. Some of the stores were empty and I’m not sure it’s because there is not enough foot traffic during the day time. I can’t say either way, I liked it.

Cheapseats Sports Bar – Menu with Prices – 2301 Hubbell Ave, Des Moines

You might be thinking a hole in the wall bar. I am here to tell you that it was anything but. Invited out for a patty out there. Driving up to park the thought of ” omg what have you gotten me into. ” crossed my mind but inside was very welcoming. Tv , darts and then the karaoke. Lots of drink specials before 7 on a Friday night and we nearly closed down the bar. An eclectic group of people flowed in abd out all night and spirits were high. It felt more like a small town joint where everybody knows you.

Leta’s Neon Moon – Menu with Prices – 7949 Jacksboro Hwy, Fort Worth

This is a very nice little local dive bar with a great family atmosphere. The prices are and the people are friendly. They have karaoke some Saturday’s. The place sits a little off the road and doesn’t have a sign at the street so it stays hidden from almost anyone who doesn’t know it’s there.

The Silver Dollar – Menu with Prices – 10410 Dyer St a, El Paso

High speed low drag, great place to relax, have good conversations with nice folks. Seasoned folks in the day, younger set in the night. Free pool on Sundays, also have darts, karaoke Friday or Saturday I don’t remember. Good selection of domestic beers, great service! Look for drink specials daily! 3 large TVs for sports, one out back on the covered patio for smokers. Often has special events that includes free food. Give it a try, your gonna like it!

Lake Springfield Tavern – Menu with Prices – 1221 Adlai Stevenson Dr, Springfield

All you can eat walleye for $7.50. I have been here a dozen times during the past two years for the Friday night all-you-can-eat-walleye. Service has always been good and the fish served hot right out of the fryer. Your choice of potato and side of salad makes this meal very budget friendly. The menu has something for everyone, but the Friday night all-you-can-eat-walleye truly is one of Springfieldâ??s hidden bargains for $7.50. Adult drink prices are also budget friendly. Donâ??t let the outside of this 55-60 year old brick building scare you.

Westerwood Tavern – Menu with Prices – 508 Guilford Ave, Greensboro

One of our favorite dives in the city. It’s a cozy hole in the wall; a mix of well-acquainted patrons and infrequent visitors. A very welcoming experience for first time guests, so don’t shy away. The bartenders are great; very friendly and provide fast service. After a few visits, they will quickly learn your name and drink preference. Drink prices are very reasonable. The environment is LGBTQ and POC friendly; it’s truly a mix of various ages, genders, and demographics. There are planned nightly events such as trivia and karaoke, so you always know what’s going on. It can get quite crowded some nights, so arrive before 11 for a more quiet experience (a conversation with a close friend or journaling). My favorite things about Westerwood are the unassigned restrooms (there’s rarely a wait), and the curbside parking, which is great if you’re stopping by for a light weeknight drink after work or even on the weekend.

Fox Cigar Bar – Menu with Prices – 1464 E Williams Field Rd, Gilbert

This is by far the most relaxing, chill place to hang out and have a cigar in town. The staff is so friendly, helpful, and laid back. I used to frequent this place once a week to once every other week. I always had a great time and the servers made me feel like I was always the only customer that mattered. The beers and spirits available and on tap is second to none and the prices are really reasonable. I could always count on a good drink for the price and a tasty cigar to accompany my beer or whiskey. If you want a date night, a place to hang and chat with friends, or a place to relax and work at, this is it. Start a tab, enjoy the patio, and relax like you are home because it’s the closest thing to home expect you can smoke inside.

The Hughmidor – Menu with Prices – 365 N Washington St, Rochester

Very friendly & welcoming atmosphere. The staff & owner are very hospitable. Great selections of cigars. No charge to just come in and enjoy a cigar, relax, watch tv, and hang out with your friends.

Backstreet Jazz & Blues Club – Menu with Prices – 614 W Port Plaza Dr, St. Louis

Wow, a year ago we were in here for karaoke… and the place has gone even more downhill. The same guy running the karaoke, and after ONE person did karaoke and another attempted they then spent the next hour saying “mic check” over top videos that were playing trying to figure out whatever issue they were having. The set-up in here is strange, the tables are gross, and don’t even get me started on the disgusting chairs. I did not even want to sit down. The only thing they had going for them was the smell of a little pizza oven. Last year when I was here it stunk from cigarette smoke, so at least the smell in the air was better this year. We finally bailed after one drink.

VFW Post 9095 – Menu with Prices – 1121 Gamble Rd, Little Rock

It’s “ok”. Been a while since we’ve been there. Never had a meal there because when we’ve had the kitchen was closed. Had a good time catching up with friends, dancing with my husband’s and watching him do Karaoke (thankfully he can carry a tune evening after drinks a few or more beers lol) I wouldn’t want to go there for one of our rare “date nights” but that’s a me. Others we know love it and frequent it often.
