The whole experience was a bad one. We came to Austin for a bachelorette party and were super excited to get started as it was our first night. Based on recommendations of friends we came to Austin Taco Project, we made a reservation at 7 and walked into a half empty restaurant. Walking in we were greeted by the hostess who acted as if she hated her life. We got seated at a dirty table, where multiple times we had to ask for it to be cleaned. Only from here did it continue going downward. Our server, or whoever it was because we didn’t have an actual server, gave us attitude and rolled her eyes when we said we needed a minute to look at the menu and wait on drinks because we were waiting for a friend to come back from the bathroom. We ordered drinks and food and had to ask multiple times for more chips because we had ran out for our guacamole & salsa. Our food ended up coming before we got more chips. Once we got our food our drinks were empty. Not once did our “server” come back to refill our waters or ask if we wanted another round of margaritas. So we ate our dinner with no drinks. We ended up sitting in this restaurant for almost TWO HOURS (keep in mind the restaurant is almost empty) because we couldn’t find our server to receive our checks. After another worked passed by we said to send out server out with checks and here she came and slammed our checks down and walked off, making us wait another 30 minutes to pay. Once we finally paid she sent another person out to deliver our cards back and no one said a word to us. Needless to say we won’t be going back. Very disappointed with the experience.

Antojitos Navideños todo el año – Menu with Prices – 635 Robin Rd, Lakeland

Definitely did not expect this kind of service at universal. If I could give it negative stars I would. First of the server showed up maybe three times the whole time we were there and that was to bring drinks, food, and check. Not to mention when she gave us the checks she disappeared and was no where to be found. I order chicken quesadillas and the chicken was so dry it had no flavor. McDonaldâ??s honestly probably has more flavor. When we told her she was like I can get it remade like no thanks the service sucks and the food is dry. Not to mention it cost $15 for half a quesadilla. She insisted we look at the menu for something else to eat and we told her no thanks weâ??ll take the bill for the drinks and when she brought us the check she disappeared and was no where to be found. We found the manager and he told us not to worry about the checks since all it was for was the drinks. That was probably the only positive thing about our experience. Oh and the server name was Jacqueline I believe.

TTT Mexican Diner Menu with Prices 2900 Wilson Blvd Suite 103, Arlington

Went here a few weeks ago. Unfortunately, not a good experience. While we were seated near the bar, we were not served. After about 10 minutes wondering if anyone noticed us I pulled over a server asking if anyone would serve us. The server is the reason I am going from 1-2 stars. It was not his table and he ended up taking our order for the entire night after multiple apologies. Being very aware, he provided us free drinks at the end of the meal which I appreciate. The server who was assigned to our table showed up about 5-10 minutes later, dropping off chips and asking if we needed menus, unaware of the situation. While the server who attempted to save the night helped as much as he could, the food was simply bland and overpriced. While the guacamole was good, yet small for the money, we got three different tacos ranging from okay to meh. Adding to that was the loud noise and poor lighting making it hard to enjoy dinner. I appreciate the server for attempting to save the experience, but ultimately the food is what people come for and don’t come for.

Traveler’s Table – Menu with Prices – 520 Westheimer Rd, Houston

So you know how you’ve got that friend that likes to buy nice stuff and show it off but doesn’t really know how to use it? 5k tv still playing vhs tapes, brand new Corvette but drives in the slow lane and can barely drive stick. That’s these guys. Open for two months? At least some of the kinks should be worked out. Don’t force me to valet, it’s awkward to watch a young kid fumble through keys as I literally can touch my car from the stand. Don’t tell me you can “squeeze me in” when I call on the way to find you have an empty bar and 2 other patrons. Most importantly don’t make me wait 15 minutes to be sat with said empty restaurant. The waitress took another 15 minutes to ask for a drink order then disappeared upstairs to do who knows what. Ended up walking to the bar to grab the drinks that we ordered from the bar. To her credit she did say “I could have gotten those” when she came back. Yes you could have young lady, yes you could. You’d think the next step would be to order food. Nope, she went to get us plates. After another 10 min wait we were asked the one question every server needs to ask “would you like to order?” I mean assume the sale. I will say this, after a 45 minute wait we were hungry, we ordered a lot. I would even go as far as to say an impressive amount. Maybe that’s their business model make em wait. Who needs table turnover when you can starve em till they order twice their parties size? I assume the food was good. They certainly charged like it was. It is hard to tell when your scarfing it down like a starving refugee. Maybe that’s what they meant by travelers. You may be asking yourself why 3 stars why not a 1? Well the ambiance was nice, the drinks were well mixed they just sat a little too long and I’m hoping that it was just that server. I don’t have much hope seeing as there was plenty of staff watching including what I assume were two managers and I guess with an empty bar the bartender could have walked the drinks over but hey there’s a difference between no hope and hopeless.

Bacchus Wine Bar & Restaurant – Menu with Prices – 56 W Chippewa St, Buffalo

We had the absolute worst dining experience. Whenever we travel to Buffalo Bacchus is a must, as we’ve enjoyed years of dining here. Tonight the server spilled the juices from a mussels plate all over my partner’s hat. He looked at the spill and quickly walked away with the empty starter plates. I had to get up and ask another server to please bring me a wet cloth to clean the hat. As I was walking to the rest room our server saw me and offered club soda to clean it with. All is well…accidents happen…we’re not going to make a huge fuss. Anyway, we wait and wait and wait for our food. We finally ask another server to please check on our food. He says “it’s coming right out”. Several minutes later we track down our server and ask him to please check on our food. He goes to the kitchen and doesn’t come out for several more minutes. At this point we’re pretty sure that our food has been sitting at the pass waiting on our server. Sure enough he brings out 3 cold dishes. So why did I give 5 stars? Because a manager (I think his name was Garrett) handled the situation in a manner that was above and beyond. So my rating represents the countless great meals and services we’ve experienced here over the years AND for the manner in which our unpleasant experience was handled. It’s not how you handle issues when it’s easy, it’s how you handle your customers when things are difficult…and Bacchus/Garrett stepped up. We’ll be back next time we’re in Buffalo.

Open Flame Bar & Grill – Menu with Prices – 3445 Poplar Ave Suite 1, Memphis

I loved this place when I went when it was located in Cordova as Kabob International. However, I was disappointed when I went to Open Flame a few weeks back. I had a big group, but we arrived well before the lunch rush, and there weren’t many people in the restaurant. Despite that, we were there nearly two hours, and parties who came in well after us had their food way before us. The wait staff didn’t even bring out all of our meals st the same time, and when one of my coworkers’ meals wasn’t brought out, my coworker was blamed for not speaking up, when the person who brought it or had called out the wrong dish name. Paying was a debacle as well. With a big party, separate checks shouldn’t be a surprise. That being said, they were surprised. We ended up having to pay with only two cards and doing Venmo to make up for it… but the staff acted as if it was an inconvenience to have done separate checks. I really wanted to love this place. The vibes are awesome and the owners are sweet, but I won’t be going back.

Flagler Village Brewery – Menu with Prices – 551 N Federal Hwy, Fort Lauderdale

I have been here multiple times but after tonight I am regretfully writing this review as I feel that the experience my party received was insulting and inexcusable. I arrived at brass tap tonight (Sun. 02/24) around 8:30pm with my s/o and informed the server that we would be having a larger group but I wasn’t sure how many. The restaurant was almost completely empty and she said it would be no issue. It ended up being 8 of us (all currently in or previously in the restaurant industry) showing up to congregate for a very solemn occasion. We wanted a quiet, laid back environment to grab some food and drinks in. We were SORELY disappointed. It took our server 15 minutes to even grab a drink order from us. ANOTHER 10-15 minutes for our drinks to even start arriving at the table. We literally watched the server through the window texting away on her cellphone as we waited for our drinks. When she arrived with the drinks we asked if we could order food. At this point i had already realized our service would be very slow (even though the place was empty) and I decided to order a second drink with my food even though I had just received my first. I’m glad I did that because not once throughout the meal did the server ask ANYONE if they would like a refill. My food arrived (I ordered the super wrap or whatever it’s called) but I was brought the super salad instead. I informed the server that this was not what I had ordered and she promised to fix the issue. About 7 minutes later she returned with my wrap. Upon examination (before taking a single bite) I realized that there was no chicken in this wrap. I told the server that I was sorry to be a pain but the wrap seems to be the exact same salad just rolled into a tortilla when the wrap listed on the menu comes with chicken. She told me it was a NEW salad but they just didn’t add chicken…. (why was no chicken added??? It’s listed SPECIFICALLY on the menu as a part of that wrap!) at this point I just asked her to take the food back and remove it from the bill. I shouldn’t have to send food back twice. It’s embarrassing for BOTH of us. The manager came over asking if she could get me anything else and I declined. I was already disappointed and had no interest in eating anymore. She insisted on buying me a drink which was very kind and at that point I decided that I would not be posting on yelp about this experience due to the manager trying to remedy the situation. That changed quickly. The food was terrible for everyone who received it “correctly”. Brussels sprouts had no bacon and were dripping grease. The ahi Niçoise salad came with no dressing, looking an absolute mess. What were described as crispy sweet potatoes on the salad were just freezer burned sweet potato fries. The chicken tenders were somehow so over cooked that they were HARD all the way through. Not once did she return to ask how the food was. My friend asked the server for a water and several others followed suit. The server returned with water for everyone EXCEPT the one who originally asked to begin with then ran off before we could even point it out. We ended up sharing waters. When it was time to cash out the server cashed ONE PERSON out then went M.I.A. for another 15 minutes. Someone from our party had to go find her to ask her if we could cash out. She comes and cashes everyone out EXCEPT the girl who actually went in and asked her! After returning with change she tried to leave and I actually had to ask if she planned or cash my friend out or if we should just leave. For such a slow, empty restaurant these issues were RIDICULOUS. Our drink tabs would have been at least double but most people didn’t have a chance to order more than one drink since she never asked for refills. We are also very generous tippers but she ruined that opportunity. Being in the service industry we give good service and expect it in return. We did NOT receive that tonight and there was NO excuse for how absolutely horrible it was. I usually

Calle Tacos & Lounge – Menu with Prices – 1440 Secor Rd Suite 120R, Toledo

I’ve visited Calle a few times now. The restaurant’s style is identical to Barrio, which is a popular Mexican restaurant in the Cleveland area. The menu features a “made to order” and “build your own taco” style where you get a variety of proteins and toppings to choose from starting at $3/taco. This is a fun, unique concept, and I think it’s a great idea overall with typically good food. The free chips and salsa offered are not traditional Mexican restaurant chips; they are fried flour tortilla shells. I would say they’re similar to the Chalupa shell from Taco Bell in taste and nature, which I do like. Out of the 4 times I’ve gone there, I was only asked once if I wanted their hot or mild salsa, which was the first time. Now having tried both flavors, I personally prefer their hot salsa much more over the mild salsa option, so I don’t see why they don’t ask this as a standard. Either way, I think the chips and salsa one of the best parts of the food experience. I also have tried their queso with chorizo mixed in, and I enjoyed it also. The tacos themselves have been a hit or miss for me however. Each time I’ve gone it’s slowly gone down in how much I enjoy them. The first time I got a chorizo, chicken, and carne asada (steak) taco. The steak and chorizo were very yummy, and I felt the chicken didn’t have much seasoning to it and was okay. The thing I noticed was that there was a lot of liquid leaking from the meat at the bottom of my basket, which wasn’t bad but it did make the experience a little worse. Overall the first time, I had a great experience. The waitress was extremely nice and was checking in super often with us. The second time I steak, chorizo, and shrimp. The steak and chorizo again were very good, but the shrimp was not that good and had minimal flavor. The third time it was a lot busier than the previous two times. The waitress I had was not that attentive to our table. I didn’t get any refills given to me and she never came to check in on how we were doing. It was a busier night, but every other server seemed to be more frequently checking in on their tables, and our server seemed to have just disappeared when watching. I got a bowl this time for a $1 upcharge, expecting something more similar to a Chipotle burrito bowl, but it was a small bowl of food with chips on the side. The kitchen forgot to add the salsa onto the bowl as requested, which was a bummer but not a big deal. The taste of the meat with the toppings I chose went well together. It felt odd with the chips on the side, so I ended up throwing my bowl on top of the chips to make nachos with it. With the bowl, I personally would suggest opting away from the chips on the side and give a bigger portion of the bowl itself. If you want to keep the chips on the side, you could easily serve it as nachos instead. The last time was the busiest I’ve seen it, and there was a wait for a table, which I could see it being due to their Tuesday all you can eat taco special. We were seated and weren’t approached by a server for about 5 – 10 minutes. Once we did, we had put our orders in right away, and we waited for about another 10 minutes to get drinks and chips and salsa. I ended up doing the All You Can Eat Taco special. The catch of the special is that you can only get chicken or beef as the protein and you only can get it on a soft flour shell with lettuce, chopped tomatoes, and shredded cheese. We waited about 45 – 60 minutes to get our food, which had errors from the kitchen. I didn’t have any cheese on my tacos and my other friend didn’t get any of his BYO tacos and had to wait another 15-20 minutes for them to come out. Our server was nice and helping, but it did seem like she was doing a lot at once. The tacos I got honestly weren’t that good. The regular beef tasted identical to Taco Bell’s and the chicken was just kinda dry and not so flavorful. Had there been othe

JT’s Bar & Grill – Menu with Prices – 3301 Washington Ave Ste 110, Newport News

Went to Brunch on Sunday and spent an hour and a half in this establishment. Even so, I am unable to tell you how the food was, because we never received any. During that time, we received ONE round of drinks…. so let’s start from the beginning. Came to the restaurant and was greeted and sat. The restaurant was busy, but well staffed, and there was not a wait to get a table. We sat there for 15 MINUTES before someone came to get our drink orders. I would have said something, but my sister knows one of the owners, and came to show support for the new business, so I kept quiet. The waitress herself was friendly. Got everyone waters, and took drink orders. Our drink order was one mimosa, and one Hennessy & Ginger Ale. That’s it…… why did that take another 10 minutes to receive those?… So we get our drinks. By the time she came back to take our order, the drinks were gone, and we were ready for a second round. (At this point, we’ve been here almost an hour now) 3 of us order steak and eggs, one of us order Waffles, and we put in our second drink order. At this time, tables were beginning to close out checks, and there were about 3 or 4 empty tables in the restaurant. So we were optimistic in the fact that now that we’ve finally been able to place our order, the food would come out quickly…. WRONG We wait ANOTHER 20 minutes, and a server walks over to us and let’s us know that our meal is going to be another 20 minute wait because they don’t have any steaks thawed to make our meal. I said “Well, we’ve already been waiting almost an hour and a half” and she says “I know, thats why I’m over here.” ……… Not an apology, not a manager coming over to let us know they’re aware, just a “do you still want it or no?” So at this point, we havent received another round of drinks, havent got any food, and the handling of the entire thing is piss poor. So we ask them to cancel the order, and to get our tab so we can pay for the 2 measly drinks we received 3 light years ago. Couple of important side notes: I was a server for 3 years. I am very aware of what goes on behind closed doors, and how it is when a restaurant is busy. I am the last to EVER complain and tip MORE when I see servers and managers busting their butts to ensure a great experience. HOWEVER, we watched people that came in AFTER us, recieve their food, so what was up with that? We were also told the reason our steaks were going to take so long, is because they needed to thaw from the freezer…….I just can’t. There was more than enough staff to handle the smaller sized restaurant, and 2 drinks that have 2 ingredients each should not take 10 minutes to make. And 10 minutes to carry over to a table. I would have loved to give this place another chance, but after watching the way management handled the situation, they’re forever crossed off my list of places to go. Good service can save any restaurant, and you just don’t have that.

World of Beer – Menu with Prices – 1310 Westover Terrace, Greensboro

The food is consistently delicious. I would recommend the boneless wings. They’re actually more of chicken tenders tossing in your choice of sauce, but they have great crunch and flavor. The steak and blue cheese flatbread is also a great choice. I have yet to eat something here that I don’t like. I will always come back for the great food and drinks. WOB would have a 5 star but sadly the service experience has not been the best. More times than not I experience service that is sub par. One example is the last time I was there we were one of four tables in the restaurant, yet we were waiting for up to 10 minutes for drinks. The servers were talking amongst themselves while our water glasses were empty. At one point the server forgot our drinks completely, but we were his only table! Another time is when my partner and I were at the bar with a server was 100% attentive to a regular. We were being put on the back burner of service and having to remind bartenders of our drink orders while they chatted it up with the regulars. I will always come back because the food and beer selection is great, but I wish there was more training in the service department.

Lupe Tortilla – Menu with Prices – 3131 Regent Blvd, Irving

When we first arrived here, we were excited to try the food because it had good reviews. We were already warned her reviews that the customer service there was quite lacking. We stood at the hostess stand for a minute before they even acknowledged that that we existed. Even then the host merely said how many and thrust the menus at a another host who set us right next to the kitchen. Are we just came by and took our drink order, but didn’t even stay long enough to see if my husband wanted an additional water or drink with his alcoholic beverage. She rushed off in about 10 minutes later finally came with both of our drinks. Once we got our drinks however she disappeared for another 10 minutes or so. We kept trying to find her so we could flag her down to let her know that we were ready to order. After she finally stopped back at the table we were letting her know what kind of food we wanted to order, and it was like she could not wait to get away from our table. She wasn’t explaining anything, and every time that I said something I felt ignored. After she rushed off again without even checking to see if we needed refills on anything. We saw a woman walking around bringing food to guest. She was wearing a chef jacket so we assume that she might be in the kitchen. We looked at each other and said well I guess they must be short-staffed. After waiting over 30 minutes for the food to come out, mind you this is nearly an hour after we arrived, with empty drinks and empty chips. And my husband and I were talking about leaving and just paying for what we had in front of us. We finally were able to wrote down somebody, as our server had not checked on us at all during that time and ask them if he could please bring the manager over to our table. When he was going to her what the issue was, and she apologized. She let us know that our food was done and they try to bring it to the table. But at this point we were already tired and frustrated and not interested in staying. The server’s brought out the food a second time and she insisted that we at least try the food, and that we would not be paying for any of it because of the horrible experience that we had had. We told her we didn’t mind paying for it but she insisted. We decided to give them a chance, and while we both agree that the food is good, not great but definitely worth getting for takeout. The service is terrible, and it is not worth sitting down at the restaurant. My husband and I have mutually decided that we will not be going back to this location.

Tacos & Tequila Cantina – Menu with Prices – 10952 Eagle Village Dr Suite 425D, Fort Myers

Went there on a Wednesday night. It was surprisingly busy but we got sat right away for a table of 4. Crystal, our server, immediately welcomed me as I waited for the rest of my party. Got my drink and chips and salsa right away. It became very busy and Crystal ended up with a large table near us. It didn’t phase her she took our order, refilled our drinks, got extra salsa and the food was delivered very fast. She checked on us multiple times to make sure our food was good. Everyone ordered burritos and I had mix and match tacos. Food was excellent and the atmosphere was great. We had birthdays and Crystal made it special. We would come back because the food was excellent and the atmosphere was great but Crystal was outstanding. I would go back definitely because of her service. Hard to find a Mexican restaurant that is not fast food and a good fun atmosphere. Food was large portions as well.

KAPPO IRIFUNE – Menu with Prices – 1231 Cabrillo Ave #107, Torrance

This was the worst dining experience of the year. I was quite excited to have a family reunion here after reading many positives reviews. However, this restaurant came nowhere close to meeting my expectations. The restaurant was almost empty when we arrived. The server seated us inside a private room. The first red flag came up when I asked the server for recommendations. She responded, “I actually don’t know the menu well but I can go ask for you.” So my family just ordered on a whim. The appetizers came out about 30 minutes later. While I thought the food took a little longer, everything was ‘alright’ until then, even though the servers never checked up on us or refilled our water/drinks. We had to wait about 20 minutes more for our sushi. When the food finally came out, we found out that each order of sushi–$4 to $8 each–was only one piece. Honestly, I have never seen this system before besides for more expensive sushi like toro, bluefin, etc. We were pretty unhappy knowing that it would take some time for us to order and receive more food. It had already been almost an hour; sushi does not generally take this long to prepare even more so when the restaraunt is empty. Since the food was not enough to feed us, we decided to order another round of sushi with some rolls and udons. The sushi came out after another 45 mins. However, the udons and rolls were missing. By the time we were finishing up with the second round of sushi, we decided to leave and asked the server to cancel our food. The server told us that the rolls are prepared and coming out but that she would cancel the udons since they have not started preparing them yet. I was baffled at this point. Seriously, what were you guys doing for almost an hour? To top things off, it took another twenty minutes to bring our bill, which we had to initiate. The bill was wrong; they did not charge us for the sushi. I honestly wanted to just pay and leave at this point but told the server that they had undercharged us. It took the server another twenty minutes to fix our bill, which costed $200 more than the first. I did not enjoy my experience at Kappo Irifune, which lasted about two hours. The food was average and the server checked up on us only once during the entire meal. We literally had to walk outside the room to ask the server for anything. Please spend your precious money and time elsewhere. I will never be coming back.
