Excellent food! The place a classic style old timey, Greek family restaurant. With busts of gods, goddesses and heroes atop low height walls adored with garland strings, columns and decorative capstans in Ancient Greek tradition. It is what you hope for in a place like this. The waitress and hostess were very attentive. The waitress, on request, offered suggestions. Each menu selection was very pleasing. Very excellent Greek food. The hostess (an obviously Greek lady, or extraordinary actress) made a point to visit all the patrons to assure satisfaction. Her role was easy because it was so good. If you like Greek food, you should like this place as much as we did.

Ming Village Chinese Restaurant – Menu with Prices – 7624 NW 186th St, Hialeah

Found this restaurant searching google. When we entered the restaurant there was no one to greet us. There was one other group, 3 men, seated and dinning. When a lady emerged from the kitchen it was clear she was the waitress as well as the hostess. She seated us politely and offered us hot tea. The menu has a great selection of classic as well as popular Chinese dishes, they also have dim sum available all day. The waitress kindly explained a few questions we had and took our orders. Later the owner came out and wished us a Happy New Year as he walked by, I recognized his voice from when I called earlier asking,”until what time do you serve Dim Sum”, which he replied, “all day! I’m a rebel!” Overall dinning experience was pleasant and quiet, as only one other patron entered as we dined. The food was delicious and flavorful. The waitress/hostess and owner were friendly. Only cons were they started wrapping up the paper table cloth while we were still seated at the table enjoying our fortune cookies.

The Simple Greek – Menu with Prices – 100 N Florida St Suite F-2, Mobile

I had the pleasure of visiting the Simple Greek for the first time with a group of Yelpers, and I can assure you, it is well worth the trip! Angela, the owner, and her mom Diane, will make you feel right at home. The staff is smiling and friendly, as well as knowledgeable about their cuisine. Try the Greek fries, which come topped with melted feta (even if you don’t like feta cheese, this is delicious!) Also, try the Avgolemono soup, which is a delicious blend of chicken, rice and lemon. (Hint- if you get sick and your friends ask if they can bring you anything, request this soup!) The Spanakopita is a savory delight of spinach and feta baked into a light and flaky crust. The Simple Greek is kind of cafeteria style, where you approach the counter, request your desired base (pita or bowl), request your protein (traditional gyro, chicken gyro, grilled steak or grilled chicken), choose your toppings (they all look fresh and delicious so you can’t go wrong), choose your sauce, then top with Greek finishes. I enjoyed the pita topped with grilled chicken, creamy garlic sauce, and the village salad, along with other fresh toppings. Be sure to finish your meal with the baklava, or the cheesecake baklava. Either way, you can’t go wrong.

Jessyâ??s Pizza – Spryfield – Menu with Prices – 374 Herring Cove Rd, Halifax

Just last night we did the extended family dinner at the in-laws and, after a hard day, our hostess this time, didn’t feel like cooking so she did the next best thing….ordered pizza and a delicious Greek Salad for the gang. She asked for them to be delivered at 5:30 and the food was there on the dot. Too bad the rest of us were tardy, but heating up in the oven didn’t seem to have any ill effects. The pizzas were just as we liked – a meat lovers with mushrooms and a Greek vegetarian with lots of fresh tomatoes and feta cheese, among other things. I hope she won’t be in the mood to cook the next time we come over. Jessy’s has different locations and are all open from 11am to at least 1am. So when ever you have a pizza craving…you know who to call.

Sea Captain’s House – Menu with Prices – 3002 N Ocean Blvd, Myrtle Beach

Quaint place recommended by hotel staff. It’s a nice walk, only a few blocks, to and from hotel to the restaurant. Restaurant had a line outside people were waiting. Glad we made reservations. If you find a seat at the bar then you can eat there. Our was 10–15 minutes not bad. Gave us time to go to the bar and try their sangria. Laura made sangria white (his) and red (hers) delicious. Not a mix either. Hope, our waitress, was very sweet and attentive. She made recommendations based on our thoughts about what we wanted to eat. Host last night (Monday) was really friendly. Today’s host and hostess werw busy talking so waited for About 30 seconds then walked onto the bar. The hostess, blonde lady, did come and ensure that were had menus and were OK with the bar. The host on the other hand actually never spoke, even on the way out of the restaurant. Aside from that everyone was friendly and wanted to chat to find out where we were from and how long we were visiting. Food was absolutely wonderful. Flounder, shrimp, scallops and baked potatoe for me and steak with crab with a mixed veggie for him. Both were large portions and yes we took food home. Appetizer musts are the she crab soup and sea bass bites absolutely delicious! When in Myrtle Beach will definitely return.

Junn all you can eat sushi – Menu with Prices – 1320 E Broadway Rd STE 101, Tempe

The sushi quality has been inconsistent and this was my 3rd visit. On my other 2 visits, I had an excellent dining experience and had an amazing server. She was patient while I decided what I wanted and even reccomend a few sushi rolls to me. She was my server the first two times i visited and I had an excellent experience. Last night my boyfriend and I went again and we had a different server, although the girl that waited on us the other times was still there. Upon being sat, we saw our server sparingly and she never came by to check on the food and never came by to refill our drinking glasses (water). Ironically, the girl who previously waited on me was very attentive and helpful. At one point, my boyfriend ordered a Volcano Roll and after around 15 minutes, our server asked if we got all we ordered and if we wanted anything else. We told her we were waiting on a volcano roll but that would be the last of our food. She said she would go check in the kitchen because sometimes it takes them a while to bake, understandable. She comes back 15 min later and we still don’t have the roll, she again says she will go check in the kitchen, we hear nothing back. ANOTHER 15 min goes by and the girl that was not my waitress this visit but was on the other visits comes to our table to check on us and we again say we are waiting on a volcano roll and it has been over 30 minutes. I see as she goes to check with the sushi bar about what is going on with our roll…. They had finished the roll and had it set out on the counter for pickup and our actual server paid 0 attention and it remained there. I then saw the girl that helped us, not our waitress, go to the manager and tell him how we had been waiting on a sushi roll for over 30 min and it was literally left out on the table this whole time!!! The manager comes up to us and apologizes but just wants to make sure we actually want the roll. We had been sitting here over 45 min waiting for a single roll and the manager just wanted to make sure we still wanted it? Did nothing to appease the situation. Our server only came by once to drop off/pick up the check, and she nor the manager tried to make it a better experience. I would not reccomend coming here on a Friday night or anytime you would expect a restaurant to be busy, they do not seem to be capable of handling a dinner rush. I might come back to dine here but I will request that specific server that has continued to go above and beyond to help the patrons of the restaurant while all others, including the manager, drop the ball. I will also be avoiding this restaurant on weekends and dinner times.

My Greek Kitchen – Menu with Prices – 204 E 17th St, Costa Mesa

Hello! I NEVER EVER write a review, but when I do. I make sure my time is worth it. We recently started moving into the OC area nearby the restaurant and let me tell you. The food is amazing. My husband and I were HANGRY. When we got there, there was this young gentleman working really hard. He had glasses, and I believe if I can recall his name was Victor. This gentleman was very professional, calm, and super polite. Before we got there, This lady was chewing him out and said some racial things about him, but he ignored her. What an excellent example of being a role model and leader. When I ordered a Chicken Souvlaki plate, we explained everything from the top of his head. I later ordered a baklava, and they are the absolute best. While I was enjoying my meal at the kitchen, this gentleman kept coming back and forth to check up on us. “hello, was everything good here?” ” Can I get you something else?” Nobody, absolutely nobody, has ever token great care of my husband and I like that. It was my first time trying greek food, and my experience is a never-ending one. I love this restauraunt and it won’t be our last time attending here. @mygreekkitchen you guys all have amazing, hardworking , sweet employees. Thank you for the food and wonderful experience! Thank you Victor!

Social Southern Kitchen & Cocktails – Menu with Prices – 5232 Robinhood Village Dr, Winston-Salem

This was my first visit to Social. I arrived about 10 minutes before my date and sat down at the bar. I was greeted immediately by the very friendly bartender. He was cordial and professional. A few minutes later I was approached by the hostess and ask if I had reservations? I said I did not. She asked if I would like to be seated and I said I preferred to wait for my dining partner. I told her my date like to pick a table. That seemed to annoy her. She quickly let me know that most of the tables were reserved. I said that is okay even if there are only two available tables, my date would still like to choose. That annoyed her even more. I personally think the host or hostess is the face of an establishment. They should always be on their best behavior. I was not impressed with the lack of professionalism I was met with. I choose to be seated before my date arrived to appease the hostess but it soured the beginning of what could have been a great night. Once my date arrived we where greeted by a very polite, professional waitress that was very good at describing the menu and specials. She made recommendations and took our order without rushing us in any manner. The food was great. We started with the fried green tomatoes. This is a dish that in my opinion is very easy to get wrong. This was the best I have ever had. For entrees I had the duck breast. It arrived at the table cooked to order. My date had the Wahoo with red peeper sauce. Both were very tasty. The wine recommended by out waitress paired great with our food. For desert we had the grilled strawberry cake. Again ,delicious. We ended the night with fresh brewed coffee that was also very good. Overall it was a good dining experience with excellent food. Had the hostess been a bit more pleasant it would have been a five star night. As it is I will still give it four stars.

Love Boat Sushi – Menu with Prices – 26480 Ynez Rd, Temecula

I’ve been to this location three times. My first experience was not to a standard of which was pleasing. Our waitress was not personable at all, and every time we asked for things that should have been provided like napkins, straws (prior to the plastic straw ban) and drink refills, she gave us a disgusted look like we were bothering her. The different varieties of sushi we ordered were delicious nevertheless. At the suggestion of my husband, we decided to go a second time. Our second experience was a complete turn around, and we were pleasantly delighted with the service we received and there were no issues at all…all of our sushi choices were phenomenal. Our third visit was equally pleasing all around. The ambience of the place is quiet, and the space is not large, just right; the lights have been dimmed all the times I’ve visited (all visits were at night time). Overall, if you aren’t looking for anything extra fancy, you should be pleased with their sushi options.

Luigi?s Grille – Menu with Prices – 5348 34th St W, Bradenton

never have i ever had such a terrible experience at a cheap restaurant, I am terribly sorry for the people that work here under horrific management. the owner is racist, disrespectful to employees and customers, and very insecure about himself as to put gross things in their products there customers are eating. I am mortified and disgusted by this place. the owner grabbed a girl because she wanted to quit and he told her not to quit after putting his hands on her! LUIGI NEEDS TO GO! I WILL NEVER EVER COME BACK AGAIN TIL THIS PLACE SHUTS DOWN. I will be notifying the health inspector to head into this place asap as everything tastes like trash. FAKE INGREDIENTS, Fake satisfaction all the employees hate it here and the manager only cares about making money and not pleasing anyone. Hope this helps you rethink where you want to eat!

Sushi Kishiwada – Menu with Prices – 75 S Valle Verde Dr #210, Henderson

I was hesitant in coming here for dinner, as my girlfriend told me she was starving, and I didn’t notice an all you can eat option. We can go through a lot of rolls, but the location is close so we gave it a try. We got the Kishiwada Course for two and were extremely satisfied. The freshness of the fish was on par with locations like Sapporo, and their timing while serving was impeccable. We were never rushed onto the next course, and never had to anxiously wait for the next one to begin. Only draw back was that we had to scrape a little of the wasabi off of the nigiri sushi, as it was portioned a bit too large. The course comes with one specialty roal and we decided to go with the lemon role, which was bright and delicious. However, the best part of the meal was definitely the Washu-Beef BBQ. We have tried one other sushi place that offered the same option in the past, but the little “grill” provided at that location was too slow. Here, the clay grill was a fun surprise that cooked the meat, and veggies quickly. Aside from being practical though, the BBQ was fantastic; the meat had great marbling, the sauce could make a rock taste good, and the veggies paired nicely with the whole buttered affair. The entire meal ended up being surprising large and filling so we couldn’t have been happier. The service was nice as well, and as I stated earlier attentive. I hope this place gets some more attention, and I can’t wait for the next we go to visit. ps. the Hojicha ice cream is amazing and I’ll be looking for that everywhere I go from now on

Porto Salvo – Menu with Prices – 424 E 161 St, The Bronx

I was meeting a friend who works in the neighborhood for lunch. This is the restaurant he goes to when he invites the people he respects out to lunch. I live in the county north of the Bronx, so I don’t get down here often, mainly because the traffic is usually a disaster. It never just takes a half hour. The place is cute, lovely, clean, and the staff is relaxed and attentive. The beer selection is robust but not overwhelming. I did not drink any wine, but I have a few certifications – so I can assure you that they have a suitably comprehensive Italian wine selection – one that will satisfy the seasoned oenophile without overwhelming the amateur. I know nothing about their cocktails. They served a bread with oil and a little tapenade of some sort that was excellent. I ate the Mushroom Bruschetta as the appetizer and the bolognese ragu. I figure, if you can’t get the ragu right, then it’s not worth returning. Both were satisfying. I would swear they have some old Italian grandmother rolling out the pasta by hand. The coffee was good. Cost for one appetizer, two dishes, and coffee was about $65 including the tip – which seems quite reasonable. The price suggests that they don’t want to cut corners. I look forward to coming down here by train so that I can responsibly sample some of their wines.

Leo’s Outpost – Menu with Prices – 600 S Pennsylvania Ave, Lansing

Grabbed lunch at Leo’s yesterday and had a nice experience. The parking lot was pretty full, but the restaurant had plenty of open seating. The sign by the door said to seat ourselves, so we picked a table near the entrance of the restaurant. Our server was really attentive and friendly/personable. As a former waitress, I picked up on her cues to ‘up-sell’ us add on items, which is exactly what businesses want from their waitstaff. (Kudos to her!) I ordered a Greek wrap with chips (I turned down the offer for fries) and my parents each ordered the fish and chips Friday special. We also ordered onion rings as an appetizer. I thought the menu options were comparable to typical bar/pub style food overall, and I heard their pizza is pretty good so we may be back to try that on a Sunday for their buy one get one free special. We were full after eating our meals so we did turn down dessert, but our server offered us lemon cheesecake which sounded amazing. All-in-all, I was not totally ‘wowed’ by the food, but the service was excellent and the ambiance was unique. This felt like it would be a nice spot to be a ‘regular’!
