Hole in the wall, little Armenian market that carries everything. You’re in and out very fast, however it is little more expensive than a normal market. They carry their vegetables in refrigerators and will bring it down to you if you ask. Variety of cheeses, bread, and charcuterie.. In a small shopping center with other mom n pops stores..

Becher Meats & Provisions – Menu with Prices – 2415 N Monroe St #300, Tallahassee

Becher Marketplace Butchers takes you to the roots of all Italian cuisine. In its collection of meats and cheeses, you find the staples of Italian cooking and the dishes available throughout Urban Food Market. A charcuterie board from Becher can be a meal in and of itself, especially since the variety of items allows you to mix and match to suit your particular tastes. I personally love the mortadella and salami paired with a hard block of Pecorino Romano and a bit of soft Brie. Like Digia, Becher allows you to take the market experience home with you as you find a pound or two of meats and cheeses to spice up your own cooking.

Kingstowne Farmers’ Market Menu with Prices 5870 Kingstowne Center, Alexandria

This is a decent farmers market. It’s in Friday’s starting at 4pm. It’s located on Kingstowne Blvd. in the shopping center where Giant and Ross stores are located. I like farmers markets. I like them because they generally help local small businesses. We should all support our local small businesses. I also like them because of all the fresh products you can get. It’s not a huge farmers market but it’s nice. There were about 20 or so venders on our recent visit. They had a variety of stuff for sale. They have fresh fruits and vegetables, sausage, homemade salsa and chips, fresh bread and baked goods, kettle corn as well as other venders. Customer service from all the venders we dealt with were really nice. I think people that do this really enjoy what they do and that’s nice. They are super friendly and very talkative. They develop really good relationships with their regulars and you kinda become friends. There were a tone of regulars there too. The hours are from 4 to 7pm on Friday’s. It’s best to get there early because it gets crowded and people will buy things up. This trip we purchased some of the home made salsa, fresh baked breads and muffins and fresh eggs. The prices are a little more than a grocery store but having the stuff so fresh makes it worth it. The taste is better for sure. Some of the vendors have local brick and mortar stores, so you can get the stuff anytime you want. It’s a nice market. I just wish it was. Little bigger, with more vendors but I like what they do have and I’ll be coming back.

The Cheese Shop – Menu with Prices – 833 42nd St b, Des Moines

Wonderful experience! The owner (I assume thatâ??s who helped us) offered several samples and is clearly very passionate and knowledgeable about cheese. I asked for three of his favorites to bring as a picnic to Yankee Doodle Pops tonight and he selected all American cheeses in honor of Independence Day. I asked about my new favorite wine and he pointed me towards a beautiful Cava he carries in the store that would remind me of the one I asked about. I highly recommend the Cheese Shop and will definitely be back!

Artisan Cheese Company – Menu with Prices – 550 Central Ave, Sarasota

Whether you know your way around good cheese or not, this is a great place! If you are new to cheese and not sure what you like, this is definitely the place to go. The selection of cheese varies, but they usually have something comparable in taste if the exact cheese isn’t available. We created a profile to keep record of the cheeses we’ve purchased. Every time we go in, the staff is extremely helpful and patient with us and helps us select and sample cheeses we would like. They offer more than just cheese; we’ve found some great pairings as well such as a fantastic truffle honey. They offer a cheese 101 class, which we hope to attend at some point. Price wise they are more expensive than gourmet grocery stores, however you get what you pay for, and the variety of specialty, high quality cheese is not matched anywhere else. They also make charcuterie boards which will be our next try. Overall, great quality and variety of products and outstanding customer service. Makes you feel like your family.

Knoxville Center Mall – Menu with Prices – 3001 Knoxville Center Dr, Knoxville

Knoxville Center is DEAD! I can’t believe that people are saying that this place used to be crackin’; where? Knoxville Center is struggling pretty badly. This mall is a 2 stories mall. Plenty of room. The lack of stores that this mall has in incredibly disappointing. I have never walked into a mall and there were only 3-4 stores in business! Yes, you heard me right. There was a Jewelry store, a Hot Topic, and a Bath and Body Works. That was IT! Knoxville Center is a big mall that offers 125 (empty) stores. Sadly, the majority of the chain stores have left this mall. The recent store that just left was Victoria Secret. Many of the complaints from business owners are that there are no customers that are coming through and buying anything. The lack of customers are hurting business owners-How are they supposed to make money!? When you go upstairs you will notice a small food court that only has one of the food vendors opened at this time. It was a decent burger joint, but nothing to brag about. It’s very sad to see what a good shopping mall get into disarray was once. Shocking! The only store that I know for sure that will always stay standing is the Belk, at that is because Belk has bought their building. My hopes are that someone takes over this property and reinvent shopping in East Knoxville.

Burbank Town Center – Menu with Prices – 201 E Magnolia Blvd, Burbank

The Burbank Town Center is a great place to chill or challenge yourself not to spend money. A fun place to shop and/or hangout…. great AMC theater on the third floor… I enjoy the AMC inside and outside better than the 16… all the seats recline and are well clean…. no dated stained chairs… They have well laid out Department stores via Macy’s and Burlington Coat Factory… the food court is nothing to get too excited about however it’s decent then again it’s a mall/town center food court… so they’re usually isn’t an abundance… though there are some unique varieties in Asian style-cuisine. The town center also has several shops and stores outside as well as in… easy parking and several places for entertainment such as the All Amusement Fun Center (inside also on the top level)… unlike some of the almost all the other malls or mall-like places in the LA county. The World Market at this location is my Favorite in LA (second being the one at The Groove)… it’s not too big, yet well layout, lit and inviting like the entire town center itself. There are some empty spaces and stores that could be filled to make this mall/town center more lively, but I honestly have no major complaints at all. I enjoy seeing movies, gaming it up at Halo 13 and/or AAFC as well as treating myself to something at World Market and when in need of clothes I have options I personally enjoy. I don’t really agree with some of the other reviews on what they’re lacking as them seem to be making more improvements each time we visit including local art from schools which makes it feel more neighborhood and town center like.

The Market Place – Menu with Prices – 3325 Sheridan St, Hollywood

My experience over the years with The Market Place has usually been a visit to pick up beautiful steaks or fish with freshly prepared sides of vegetables, salads, prepared Quinua or pastas, soups and just about anything we needed that we could bring home and grill with these well prepared side dishes. Even during the holidays, The Market Place prepares everything we needed to take home. Of course, there have been times my wife and I have been laid up sick at home where this has been our go to place to pick up fresh Tuna Salad, Meat Loaf and Chicken Meat Loaf and always Matzah Ball Soup. I usually do not like to bring home prepared foods to heat up, but every time we bring in food from The Market Place, it is just as fresh as if we prepared it ourselves. When you walk in, the presentation of these dishes are so appetizing, I wish I could take home some of each of them. MY NEW EXPERIENCE with The Market Place!!! Turning the clock forward to this last year, as I have developed a new passion for Grilling and Smoking Meats, I have had a great experience ordering my meats from here: Whole Briskets, Beef Ribs and Rib Roasts and several times at that. I can call The Market Place to have them prepare or trim Briskets, check on their inventory on any of the meats I need to order and sometimes can pick up the same day. They have never let me down. Every time the end result of smoking a Brisket or Beef Ribs has been outstanding. These cuts seem leaner and more tender than I have had from other places in the past and I never have to worry about how they come out in the end, as long as I do my part on the smoker, I can always depend on their meats. The Market Place has every cut of meat you can imagine a great variety of fish and shell fish, every side dish and pasta dish as well as displays of dry grocery items to compliment your meals, including marinades, sauces, stir fry sauces, vinegar, olive oils and canned goods. Loved seeing the Raos Spaghetti Sauces here. Great quality, and most of the items they stock are specialty items, not the regular brands that are in the chain grocery stores. There is also a whole shelf section of specialty chips and crackers. The staff here does not take long to get to know you once you come here regularly and they treat you special every time and seem to remember what you like when you come in. Very rare these days. Keep in mind that this is a Gourmet Butcher and Specialty Market. If you want to be assured about quality and service, it is going to cost more than the usual grocery stores or box stores, but that is why I come here. I know what I am getting every time.

Columbo’s Pizza – Menu with Prices – 1226 Harrisburg Pike, Lancaster

Once upon a time, there was a local chain of sit-down pizza restaurants called Your Place Restaurant. I was introduced by Y.P. to this new food called stromboli years ago. The stromboli was uniquely different and so good. It had meats and cheeses in it that I really didn’t get on subs, sandwiches or pizza. Your Place is still around with 1 or 2 restaurants. Sadly, the size and quality of the Y.P. stromboli has shrunk while the price has risen. Fast foward a couple years later: A co-worker of mine reminded me of the Y.P. stromboli and he then recommended a local place called Columbo’s Pizza. He said to get their special Stromboli called the Columboli. I will not regret it. I tried it and it was even better than my past memories! The Columboli contains meats of ham, salami and Italian sausage. The cheeses consist of American and mozzarella. The stromboli also contains mustard and oregano/pepper. I know these meats, cheeses and condiments sound odd for stromboli, but it works so good! This is the only way I will ever eat stromboli ! Which is strange since beef, bacon or chicken is my preferred meat included in my meals. Just don’t put it in my Columboli !!! The downside is the size of the Columboli is starting to get smaller. I hope they don’t start shrinking them like Your Place. I know, the economy is bad but…come on! Be good to your loyal Columboli customer. He/she will buy it until they say…”I guess I’m not important” P.S. The only place that I know that carries this same kind of awesome stromboli is called Tony Di Maggio’s Pizza located in San Jose,Ca. No pepperoni or vegetables like onion or green pepper.

Sprouts Farmers Market – Menu with Prices – 1240 S Signal Butte Rd, Mesa

Sprouts tend to be on the smaller side of grocery stores, more along the lines of a neighborhood Walmart. This location is no exception to the size rule. It is a brand new location having opened in the past couple months so everything is super clean, very new and still beautiful. This location has an outside enclosed seating area as part of its little cafe eat in area. The store is laid out pretty nicely in regard to shopping. At the front you have thd bread section, then the deli area, the fresh meat area, then produce, then freezer area on the outside perimeter. In the center area you have bulk goods, additional produce. In a corner on the opposite side of the front of the store you have the section for cleaning, beauty, etc. Next to the freezer area is the section for dry goods. The store was very clean, everyone seemed to be doing their assigned responsibilities, and everyone appeared happy. I needed assistance finding some things and the employees were cheerfully helpful. I found the prices to be on the higher side for many of the exact same product at other stores. I really dislike when stores do this. Overall everything was very fresh. I still needed to go to another store to finish shopping for additional items I needed or that that just didn’t carry due to their smaller store footprint.

Panos Bakery – Menu with Prices – 1649 E Washington Blvd, Pasadena

I have been coming to Panos for nearly 10+ years. By far my favorite Armenian bakery for Lahmajune (good quality meat, perfect ratio of meat to bread, everything is chopped uniformly, crispy on the edges yet still tender and firm in the center). Their Manaheesh is also the best in town if you like a thinner dough like I do….it’s best when you heat it a pan and crisp it up…heavenly. The Spinach Boureg is the BOMB…for those yelpers who gave one star because the Spinach Boureg was sour…..you guys are idiots…it’s supposed to be sour. Traditionally it’s seasoned with lemon, sumac and citric acid (I don’t think they use Sumac in thier recipe but my point is traditionally these are ingredients that all give the sour flavor). I’m not a huge fan of the Cheese Boureg myself but my family loves it and will eat a dozen in one sitting. I have also tried thier Tahin Bread and Date Cookies so aromatic and delicious! Bottomline out of all the Armenian bakeries in Pasadena…..hands down this is best quality product! Con- because they supply allot of the local markets in the area with thier goods….they tend to run out of Manahesh and Bouregs pretty early in the day. Pro- if you know ahead of time that you’ll need some stuff they will graciously put items aside for you if you call in advance.

Soda City Market – Menu with Prices – 1300-1600 Main St, Columbia

This is a friendly market that takes up 2-3 blocks. There a lots of different food trucks with a variety of different options. There are lots of tents selling authentic art and beautiful paintings. There are truck crops everywhere that hold the promise of delicious and fresh fruits and vegetables. There are also plenty of hand made jewelry, that are beautiful on anyone and everyone. Fresh cut flowers are easily found here. If you have a small business, this would be a great place to gain publicity and spread the word about your business. This market is pet friendly and is home to lots of dogs(owners attached) and is very family friendly. I recommend this quaint market completely, it is a great place to bring your family, and pets.
