The pizzas here are very tasty – I’ve had the meat lovers (it’s really meat heavy, so you better really be a lover of meat), the Hot Cheetos (it’s just a bag of Hot Cheetos over the top of the cheese pizza), the Alfredo, as well as the Ranch Chicken (both are just ok, the flavor and richness of the Alfredo and the Ranch do not shine through, which is a bit disappointing, but the flavor of the pizza itself is good). I also tried the thick crust, which is about $1 extra, and it was good – still thin compared to other places, but this being a NY style pizza place, it was good. I also enjoyed watching an episode of Friends when I was here – they put on Netflix movies and shows. I would also appreciate if their chefs put on gloves, as I could watch them making the pizzas, and it makes me uncomfortable to see hands on the food, but good thing the pizzas are cooked and heated through! Overall, would come here again if I am craving pizza and nearby; not my favorite, but good.

Papa Murphy’s Take ‘N’ Bake Pizza – Menu with Prices – 340 Oyster Point Rd #103, Newport News

My coworkers recommended Papa Murphy’s. They all raved about the pizza, so I had to try it. Normally, I would say that Pizza is pizza, but there is something special about Papa’s. Fresh is the key word with Papa. You get to watch the Pizza’s being made right in front of you from ingredients that are clearly fresh. You might get the impression that weighing the pizzas and ingredients is their way of being cheap, but it is actually maintaining consistency with their pizzas. No nasty faux ingredients like that other pizza joint with a similar name. You have to cook your own pizza at home, but I find that refreshing. It allows me to pick up the pizza and bake it at my leisure, so that the pizza is hot and ready to go when I am. I find that better than pizza made miles away, put in a cardboard box and brought to my house 30 minutes (or more) later. My personal favorite is the Chicago stuffed pizza. It’s so big that I can barely eat two slices. My wife loves the Gluten Free pizza too. I spent under $30 for both of those two pizzas, so the price is reasonable with plenty of leftovers. Mmmm! I’ve eaten Papa Murphy’s pizza many times and it is always consistently delicious.

Rosso Pizzeria – Menu with Prices – 120 Fifth Ave, Pittsburgh

Sad this place only has one review. The men making the pizzas are straight from Italy. I’m a bit of an oddball because I can’t eat cheese but I love pizza so I order all my pizzas without cheese. These guys didn’t seem to like that idea but with some convincing they decided to make my cheese less pizza… and OMG it was f*cking amazing!!! Obviously it would be better with cheese but I assure you anyone would have loved my pizza. The only thing that sucks is they are mainly open for lunch so no nighttime pizza runs. Either way their pizza is delicious with very fresh ingredients and masterful pizza makers

Vanessa one of the employees who works here gave me the best blaze Pizza experience ever she deserves a promotion! Girl was handling making two pizzas build your owns at the same time when my husband and I asked for a mountain of toppings on our pizzas she also kept in conversation engaging with us at the same time as she worked. She made the deserts herself along with cooking our pizzas herself and giving us the most exceptional service. I will definitely be coming back to this blaze pizza again and recommend anyone else to her for their pizza endeavors. Jannet?s Pizza & Pasta – Menu with Prices – 3161 Broadway Blvd, Garland

I absolutely loved everything that we tried at Jannet’s Pizza and Pasta! We had a big party there and we had lasagna, meatballs, salads, chicken fettuccini Alfredo, and about 3 different pizzas. I will definitely go again and highly recommend this place!

Possum Pizza Menu with Prices 510 W Oltorf St, Austin

This vegan pizza truck is quite a find… I’ve had vegan pizza before and there has been terrible pizzas as well as pizzas I thought were quite more than decent (which at this level gets a lot of rave from any vegans frustrated with subpar food and/or taste). Possum Pizza, taking over a parking lot with two other food trucks at an abandoned property (up for lease/sale?), took it to another level – churning out slices and pies that I, an omnivore, can actually love. So yes, they found a way to make me crave a slice of their vegan pies. I had the macaroni cheese and bacon (veganized) slice that has a drizzle of ranch dressing (this is a second time in which I’ve enjoyed vegan ranch dressing – a feat considering that I’m not a fan of ranch dressing under most scenarios). It had a kick, even though it was touted as being less spicy than their other available pie that was instantly available (I came in the late afternoon, my fault) – but it was perfect for me, who is spicy-hot-averse. And the best kick of it all? It’s quite affordable for vegan food – even compared to other vegan pizzerias in town (at this date, we have three in Austin, the new vegan capital?). Bravo Possum, bravo!

Sushi Miyazawa – Menu with Prices – 372 Chandler St, Worcester

This place is amazing. It truly is the most authentic sushi restaurant I have been to in New England. To begin, it is located in a nice brick building with parking so you don’t need to search or pay for street parking. The hostess/waitress is very friendly and nice. I appreciate that there is a sign in wait list and you can sit in the indoor tables outside while contemplating what you want to order. This place is also BYOB so remember to bring a nice authentic bottle or cup of Sake or a Asahi beer to pair with the sushi to get the most out of your experience. I ordered the nigiri omakase. It was very good. I was very impressed with the quality and the freshness of the fish. Not only the the sushi chef meticulously craft each delicate piece, he made it into a work of art. The sushi chefs were very nice and authentically Japanese. 5/5 stars in my opinion. You know that it’s an awesome restaurant when you see a waitlist when you walk in the door! I will be coming back very soon! To sum it all up, this place does amazing work. I’ve traveled the world, lived in Japan, NYC, LA and even Boston; I have to say that the quality and taste of this sushi can rival that of a competitive restaurant in Japan and New York. I am also one of the harshest and dreadfully honest critics on Yelp. This establishment has my stamp of approval. P.S.- this is addressing the comment where the sushi chefs do not wear food gloves; ONLY TRUE SUSHI CHEFS DO NOT WEAR FOOD GLOVES! Below is an excerpt from the Guardian: “Sushi is traditionally prepared with bare hands, and good chefs rely on tactile sensation to gauge the quality of the meat – the freshness, the fattiness, the oil content – that they’re cutting and molding into just the right bites” Reference: https://www.theguardian.com/lifeandstyle/2015/nov/12/why-i-want-my-sushi-prepared-with-bare-hands I, myself, would walk out of a sushi restaurant if the sushi chef wore gloves. It detracts from the connection the chef has with the food he is preparing. It allows him to better understand the quality and texture of the ingredients he is working with- Per the article I cited above. Watch the “Jiro Dreams of Sushi” documentary for your own further edification so that you do not sound foolish making ignorant and silly comments.

Mikey’s Late Night Slice – Menu with Prices – 2014 Elm St, Cincinnati

The ONLY reason Mikey’s isn’t getting one star from me is because the gentleman making pizzas realized how awful my experience was and tried to make it right by making a whole pizza for me. (I only ordered two slices.) My friends and I were looking for late night food. Options are severely limited downtown on a Wednesday. Even in my inebriated state, I somehow remembered that Mikey’s is open until 3am everyday. We called a Lyft from the banks and headed up. The interior of this Mikey’s is trendy and fun. Whoever was in charge of putting it all together did the most – in a good way. There are a lot of instagrammable signs and artwork, and plenty of seating should it be busy, or you know, if you end up waiting 45 minutes for pizza. My friends and I walked up and waited in line to order. There were only four slices of pizza in the display case, and the person taking my order stated in a very snarky tone that my mushroom & sausage slices would be a wait. Well, yes, I can very obviously see that. I’m willing to wait for hot pizza. I should have known from then it would be an ordeal to get my pizza. There was absolutely no communication between the the guy taking orders and the guy making pizza. A line started to form at the bar of people who were waiting on slices. The man making pizza was doing so at a leisure pace, and was making things that weren’t even being ordered. About halfway through my wait time, I noted to the front employee I was waiting on a spicy & a mushroom. Before I could correct myself, I was met with a sharp “I KNOW.” I mean you don’t because that’s not what I ordered, but it had been 30 minutes at this point and I just wanted something to eat. More pizzas were made and cut for slices, and many people were just taking what was up there. Pizzas that had not been ordered were sliced and put up for grabs, and I saw a few people take advantage of that and take slices they didn’t order, but at this point they rightly deserved. It was strangely chaotic considering there weren’t too many of us waiting. Again, had the two guys working spoke to each other (well actually had the know-it-all at the register answered the guy making pizzas), it would have gone much smoother. The guy who offered me a full pizza, and I’m assuming is the manager, looked up around the time I asked for the second time what’s going on with my order, and realized there was a line of people waiting for pizzas he wasn’t making. He started to seem just as annoyed as us about these pizzas that weren’t being made. I’ll give him credit for making a whole pizza just for me, but I assume it was because my displeasure for the whole experience was starting to be voiced loudly. He must’ve known at this point I was waiting 40+ minutes because he mentioned it was “complete bullshit” how long I’d been waiting. By the time I received my pizza, I grabbed some of their sauces to go and went into an Uber home. I wasn’t hungry anymore. While I appreciated the gesture of receiving a pizza, I still can’t get over how long I waited (or how tipsy Stephanie did not have a full on panic attack). In case you were wondering, my friends and I came into Mikey’s at 2am on the dot. I know because I texted my friend that I went to the Mikey’s in Columbus with to let him know we have one in Cincinnati now. My Uber came to pick me up at 2:49am. This is supposed to be a Sbarro style warm up your pizza, eat, and leave type of establishment. Hell, it says it right on the box! After my nightmarish experience, how was the pizza? If you remember my Mikey’s Columbus review, you’ll remember I wasn’t the biggest fan. The pizza I took home with me didn’t do much to change my mind. The crust is just as chewy and delicious as I remembered, and this mushroom pizza had more flavor than the last one I had. However, there’s still no

Pizza Shuttle – Menu with Prices – 12094 W 135th St, Overland Park

WOW! I had no idea what to expect, but dang! It blew my expectations out of the water! It looked so good I forgot to take pictures before I dug in and destroyed it! We walked in and it reeked of the “drunken college pizza shop” vibes. We almost walked out because we weren’t in the mood for mediocre pizza, but decided to stick around and give it a shot. I ordered the chicken bacon ranch pizza with the cream cheese sauce (+gluten free crust, not bad). Usually I’m not one for chicken on pizza and I have a very strong hatred for ranch (sorry, couldn’t tell you why) but the kid taking my order talked me into it. BOY he knew what he was talking about. Delicious. The type of pizza that I’ll think about constantly. We also got the cheeseburger pizza, the crust on that thing was delectable. I can’t think of any other word that would fit it better. I was suspicious of mustard on pizza but now I wouldn’t want it any other way! I couldn’t get enough. Honestly. If I could, I’d eat 12 of those pizzas in a row. Maybe more. I hope this place lasts a good while. I’ll give them all of my money I’m sure!!

Dontino’s La Vita Gardens Menu with Prices 555 E Cuyahoga Falls Ave, Akron

I am so disappointed. Met a friend there to celebrate her birthday. We had a party of 5 one of which was a child. We ordered 2 orders of the fettuccine Alfredo ($18.95) shrimp Alfredo ($18.95) a small pizza ($9.00) and veal parmigiana (($18.95). When the food came out I was underwhelmed by the portion size but even less impressed by the four small slices of white, bland looking chicken laying atop the noodles and white sauce. Cutting into the chicken made me think that maybe it had been cooked in the microwave. The meat was not of good flavor and it was on the colder edge of warm. I got through the dinner trying to be a gracious person for my friend. I will never return. I am kicking myself now for not saying anything and allowing myself to pay over $100.00 for a terrible dinner. The bread was good. The service was OK and the noodles and sauce were OK, much like I would serve at home. I used to talk down the Olive Garden experience but at least I can depend on the flavor and quality of a good chicken Alfredo meal there. Very disappointed.

Jack’s Country Maid Deli – Menu with Prices – 2400 Kirkwood Hwy, Wilmington

This place is your average country maid. I lived next to Jack’s for several years and before snow storms, I’d hit this store up. It would be a mad house, but much better than grocery stores during a snow storm. If you’re from Delaware, than you know what I’m talking about. The news warns up about a couple inches and everyone goes nuts and hoards food like it’s going out of style. The lunch meat is good here and I love this oreo dessert they have. The hoagies are quite tasty and are packed with meat. The breakfast sandwiches are only $2.39 and are excellent! Sometimes I question the people making the food, and I hate to be one of “those people” but I like to watch them make my food. I never order over the phone, because sometimes they tend to not wear gloves after they handle cash. So gross. So I make sure to observe and request gloves!

Pizza Man Burbank – Menu with Prices – 334 S Glenoaks Blvd, Burbank

Been a customer here for a very long time only because my mom likes the pizza. I never agreed with her but whatever my mom likes I will get but this time was literally the last time I will ever order from this place. Our last couple of orders have been HORRIBLE! We placed an order for a XLarge pizza and when I got home to eat the pizza it wasnt even close to being cooked the cheese chunks were still on the pizza and not even melted when I mentioned it very nicely right away he got very agressive and mentioned that these are on timers and that im wrong. You run a buisness the customer is always right especially when food is involved also when I opened my container of Jalapeños there was only 3 pieces in it. When I mentioned that to him his response was “we give Jalapeños for free you get what you get” not to mention the ranch they gave the last couple times I ordered last 2 being big orders they gave me 2 packets ranch for 4 XLarge pizzas and 1 Ranch for 2XL pizzas. So this time I asked for 4 packets he gave me this dirty look like im wasting his product. Im assuming he thought I was a 1 time customer so he didnt give me his best service. Let me also mention that a lot of the food they make including the wings ALL COME OUT OF THE FREEZER FROZEN and I can guarentee you its been in that freezer for a very long time. Before you place your online order read all the other bad reviews about this and then order your food. Your giving your money to unappreciated people for very low class serivce and low class food. If I could give this place 0 stars I would. I will definitly never order from here again nor recomend this place which I never have. The new MANAGEMENT IS SO BAD!!!!!!!! All in all do yourself a favor and order from other pizza spots near by that are 100 times better. Ricos Pizza next door Slash Pizza Hungry howies pizza. Big Mamas Pizza
