Maybe they’re trying to keep it real and authentic from what this theater was decades and decades ago but that doesn’t mean the women’s bathroom has to be a rathole, disgusting experience. I literally have never seen a theater bathroom like this. Let me describe it to you: there are four stalls, one handicapped, and only two of them have lights– so the other two are like doing your business in a nightclub. The sinks are automatic and one of them was not working. The other one spewed out burning hot water. Exactly what you don’t need in 95° heat. There was a mat in front of the two sinks with water seeping out from under it. I complained to the manager on Friday, June 6 (2019) in person about these issues and returned the next day. I didn’t expect lighting to be installed but I did expect at least the courtesy of a sign that the one sink was not operational. Or, FIXED. Sadly, I saw a woman in a wheelchair trying to get water out of it and was there to let her know that the sink was broken. She then had to move over to the other sink, again on partially wet floor under a mat and navigate that. I told the management again. I suggested that they put an “out of order” sign on the sink, which they had neglected to do as a courtesy to their customers like the handicapped woman who had to deal with this. They obviously don’t seem to care. Because of this, I would NEVER return to this decrepit theater.

Aranda’s Plumbing, Heating and Supply – Menu with Prices – 600 Cortez St #1012, Santa Fe

Don’t use Arandas. They sent out a plumber(simple bathroom sink small leak). He installed a pop up, which was not the problem. Also, it did not match my fixtures. I have brushed nickel; he installed chrome. Later that day I discovered an additional leak, which was due to the installation. They sent out another technician. I told him what the first technician had done and I wanted the new leak fixed. He said that Arandas did not do the previous work..that they don’t install anything like that..that you could see the sloppy caulking and someone had ‘wrenched’ the part. I called and asked them to send out a technician that knew what he was doing, since he apparently did not believe Arandas had done this incorrect work, 3 days before. Long story short, he drove away, without saying anything. I called them again. I was told he had come to pick up the part I needed. He came back with the SAME incorrect part and wanted to remove what the first guy had installed three days before..the same chrome part. I told him to leave. The next day I went in to complain about this service/part. I was told they didn’t have the correct part. I asked that they send someone to put the drain back together, as the sink was unusable, due to the fact that their technician had left parts on the counter, that were needed for the sink to be functional. They refused. I asked for a refund, since the guy had used the wrong part. They refused..in spite of the fact that they have a 30 day guarantee on labor, and I had an unusable sink..rendered so by their technician. I had to hire someone else to clean up their mess. DONT USE ARANDAS.

Capt’n Dave’s Seafood Market – Menu with Prices – 700 Alma Dr, Plano

I have always loved this place Dave and his Brother in law Rocky are the greatest and the employees are fun and they remember you. Today i went to pick up some seafood and on the door there was a sign handwritten that said ” Bathroom for employees only” i thought this was funny because this to me is not the type of business you would think had a public restroom. Its a seafood counter just like The Plano meat store where you buy what you need and leave. It struck me funny that people would request a bathroom enough that Dave needed a sign. Being a place that i go often and people know me by name and always a funny good time, I walked in and joking said to the woman by the counter, Can I use the bathroom and in the same breath said to the same woman behind the counter, who would come in here and ask for a bathroom? she was smiling and we had a small laugh. From the back i heard someone yelling at me and i thought she was playing along with the joke and i laughed, then she said Laugh all you want but its not funny? what i thought? Then she yelled from the back I hate men like you? again i thought she was kidding so i said, i am not a man but an ugly woman. Shen then replied then i hate ugly women like you!. I turned to the other woman at the counter who is very nice and said is she upset about something? she stated that she was having a bad day. I told he that that was not a way to respond and you could see that she was embarrassed. All the while the the angry woman (Daphne) was still yelling some stuff at me but i could hear what she was saying. I told the nice lady that that was a rude way to treat a good customer and that i am sure Rocky and Dave would not appreciate this type of behavior. First of all I was never speaking to Daphne and she was just angry and rude. I did call back and Daphne answered the phone and told me that I was too aggressive and she does not stand for that?? Get a sense of humor as Captain Daves has always had one and a great people to work with. I spoke with Rocky and explained everything and since Rocky and I always joke around and he knows me as the U-12 guy, he sounded sad and apologized. Rocky is a helpful and happy guy and I enjoy buying from him. I would say if you encounter Daphne, don’t smile or try and be fun and happy or she will go off on you!. Make sure you ask for someone else of she will ruin a great experience and a great seafood store with lots of other fabulous employees

Crown Uptown Theatre – Menu with Prices – 3207 E Douglas Ave, Wichita

One would expect a theater venue to a place for people to set back and for a short time forget their troubles and have some fun. That used to be the case with the Crown Uptown Theater. It was a venue where everyone could eat a fairly decent meal and enjoy a well performed production. However, under new management the venue has changed. Theater productions still happen but in addition the new owners bring in and promote anti-muslim speakers. These are members of groups that have been designated as “hate groups.” Most recently the theater has brought in and promoted John Guandolo, Mr. Guandolo was dismissed from the FBI for unethical behavior and improper conduct. He speaks on behalf of Act for America a known anti-Muslim extremist group. I can no longer attend a venue where everyone is no longer welcome. The theater is supposed to bring people together around a common experience and the Crown Uptown has taken it upon themselves to divide and destroy. https://www.splcenter.org/hatewatch/2016/06/02/disgraced-former-fbi-agent-john-guandolo-travel-phoenix-next-week

Hale Centre Theatre – Arizona – Menu with Prices – 50 W Page Ave, Gilbert

This is the first play I’ve ever been to. I went and saw Newsies with a friend. It was a last minute thing. I managed to get some seats that were labeled as “Partially Obstructed” and I feel that was a brief understatement. There was a good portion of the play we couldn’t even see at all. They were performing up on the scaffolding and we were sitting below it. That was a bit upsetting. Aside from that, there were a few issues that seemed to be in the process of being fixed. There was no sink in the bathrooms. There is construction going on all over the building. The seats are WAY too small. I feel uncomfortably close to people being a large person due to the tiny seats and spacing. The pricing is rather high, but I’ve never been to a play to compare it to. Its a very small homey theater so I figured the pricing would reflect that. On the plus side, it did feel homey due to the small theater that made you feel right there in the action. The actors did a great job singing and dancing and I had an enjoyable experience. As long as you can get over some minor discomforts I would recommend this place.

Kiku Sushi & Grill – Menu with Prices – 7338 Cortez Rd W, Bradenton

Very disappointed with this place today. I’ve been coming here and actually ordering from doordash quite a bit. Today when I came and made my order which is no different than normal they had charge me an arm and a leg. Not to mention that after I put my order in and also specified that I wanted soy paper on our sushi they told me that they have to charge me a dollar per order. There were four orders of avocado rolls. So after I already paid in tips 20% Which was $10 on my initial order they had the nerve to charge me an additional $5 for soy paper. So I paid $56 on my first order and then they ran my card again for an additional $5. I made myself clear that I just tipped you guys 20% for my order and I’m not even sitting down eating here and now you’re going to charge me an additional $5 for soy paper. The stupid girl who we normally order our food from did not even care about my concerns and then the other woman that works in there tried to smooth things over right offering me a glass of water from the sink. This place is lost my respect and my business and I will not return to order from this place again. This place should get zero Stars if I had the option

Waco Hippodrome Theatre – Menu with Prices – 724 Austin Ave, Waco

My husband and I just had our first and LAST experience at #wacohippodrome. Seeing a film at the theater is all about the experience. Otherwise, you can just wait a couple months and watch the movie at home, right? We have been looking forward to seeing Avengers End Game and worked hard to avoid spoilers. We are new to town and were very excited to learn the film was playing at this luxury downtown theater. We prefer frequenting local businesses rather than large national chains, so having a locally run luxury theater seemed like win. The idea of having food and drinks served while you enjoy a film in a comfortable recliner sounded great in theory, but the Hippodrome failed miserably in execution. Five minutes into the film, a couple and their small child (maybe 2-3 years old) arrived and promptly engaged their call button for food service. The server arrived and took the couple’s order on a brightly lit device. I don’t care how low you whisper – talking and using a brightly lit device during a film is distracting. This is why customers are asked to put their phones away before a film. Unfortunately, the Hippodrome does not adhere to the same rules of courtesy, and I was unable to hear much of the movie dialogue while the server took the order. The child soon began squirming and fussing no more than 20 minutes later. I don’t know any small child who can sit quietly through a 90 minute Disney film, much less through a 3 hour, loud PG-13 film with loud fight scenes and violence. We tolerated it for as long as we could, but when the child started squealing and walking around, the film was ruined for us. Who brings a small child to a PG-13 film with a 3 hour running time? And what’s more, what theater would allow it and risk a poor theater experience for the rest of the customers? The sign of a good business is how they recover when things go wrong and I am always willing to give a business a chance if they make an earnest attempt to make things right. So on the way out, we stopped to request a refund. Surely, the management would want us to return for a better experience, right? WRONG? The Hippodrome failed again when they denied our request for a refund because that’s their “policy”. Pay close attention to that. It is their policy to take your money even if the experience you paid for is ruined. The only thing they offered was to speak to the young family but we had already missed a good portion of the film waiting for, and speaking with, the manager. The solution the manager offered not only was inadequate, but it was insulting to customers who entered the business in good faith. Their policy, unfortunately, not only lost them two customers. They lost of business of two customers who know how to use social media to share their experiences – both good and terrible. We will see eventually see the film – probably at home once it’s released on DVD or streaming or at professionally run establishment. Oh, and did I mention we never got the popcorn we ordered? Never. Again. #3strikesandyoureout

Club Sugarhill – Menu with Prices – 710 S Reynolds Rd, Toledo

I’m so happy that there is a spot for live jazz in Toledo again. Those of u from here remember Murphys n Rusty’s? This spot is coming darn close. Nice looking wrap around bar. So Thursdays is jazz night. From around 7-930ish. Alternate Thursdays have live band or jazz DJ. $10 cover on live band nights. The staff is friendly. $2 drink specials. Kitchen is open with good chicken wings. Menu seems to be work in progress so keep that in mind. They haven’t been open that long so room for improvement. Woman’s restroom is a disaster. First visit, 2 sinks n only 1 had a faucet. 2nd visit, why is there water all over the place?! Last visit backed up toilets n when I told staff, it was not addressed on my next bathroom stop. The MC stopped the music for 15 min because there were maybe 5 folks that got there before they charge a cover and they wanted us to go back to the door n pay once they decided to charge. If you get to the club before they charge a cover do you go back to pay later? If you are charging a cover then have someone at the door. Fridays n Saturdays have DJ and a younger crowd. Tuesdays is karaoke day. Wednesdays is line dance night. Happy hour 5-8 pm. They have a mechanical bull you can ride for $5 which the ladies seem to enjoy. Work in progress. Some bands better than others. See ya on Thursday.

Granny’s Sweet Treats – Menu with Prices – 4500 Billy Williamson Dr #33, Macon

This was the worst experience I have had in a long time , dont know nothing about granny’s sweet treats but the managers / owner professionalism toward her customer are far from professional. (Ratchet business owner ) I went to a event in the building attached to her shop Ms.davison owns and rents for small party. This was a Hadzard for everyone who attended. Bathroom dirty, no paper towels, no trash cans and blocked hallways a hazardious condition . I attempted to help by putting paper napins in the bathroom , hanging plastic bag on door of bathroom and pushed the junk boxes stored in the hallway over a little trying to make a clean path.

Geva Theatre Center – Menu with Prices – 75 Woodbury Blvd, Rochester

How fortunate we are that GEVA is alive and thriving in Rochester. I’ve spent my life either being onstage (in one form or another) offstage or in the audience and feel that GEVA is one of the best theatrical experiences one could have. Just saw “The Other Josh Cohen” last week and it was a tremendously joyous experience. Even more so since one of the leads (& co-author of the libretto) is Rochester’s own Steve Rosen, who very much is a byproduct of having a real Equity theater smack dab in the middle of Center City. It is so great that GEVA can support a wholly original piece of theater like this; yes, it is not a “Broadway” play per se… and of course the Geva Theater is not the Auditorium Theater. However, a strong regional theater like GEVA is as essential as the larger venues that primarily show only larger touring musicals. If you’ve seen “War Horse” or “Wicked” but haven’t visited GEVA, I strongly recommend you give it a try. You’ll be challenged at times, surprised mostly, but overall I think you’ll be enriched and entertained.

In-N-Out Burger – Menu with Prices – 450 Auto Center Dr, Corona

5 stars for food and service but 2 stars for safety for slippery floors!! Food and service was excellent!! This is mainly a teaching and safety comment. My husband went in to use the restroom with my handicapped son. My husband slipped on the bathroom floor and banged his knee up pretty good. He’s a tough guy, a fireman, and won’t say it hurts, but he’s got a noticeable limp afterwards. He tells the guy at the counter what happened and leaves. Worker was concerned. So I go in about 5 minutes later and almost slip in the women’s bathroom. I did not notice any signs saying “wet floor” or anything similar. Now I can tell it’s the way they mopped the floor. It was almost waxy like but really slick with no signs of wetness on the floor. Just dry and slick which tells me it’s wax on the floor. I also saw some newbies being shown the ropes. So…possibly need better training on cleaning products or products are leaving a film and need a different brand.

Yacht StarShip Cruises & Events Clearwater – Menu with Prices – 25 Causeway Boulevard Slip #55, Clearwater

Hubby and I were looking for a unique experience and figured we would give a go on a yacht. We’ve been on a few boat dinner cruises before but never a yacht so we wanted to be fancy and try it out. I gotta say, it was definitely worth it. I don’t even remember the meals we had on the other boats but I am pretty sure I will be raving about this place’s food for years (and wishing I had their recipes!). It is set up buffet style but they ask you to wait until your group of tables is called in order to keep the line manageable. I’m not sure if it was free or if we ordered it but we got an appetizer of crab fondue. We also went ahead and got an alcoholic drink in the biggest cup they had since you could keep the glass your drink came in. It was so good we were tempted to get another but instead hubby asked the bartender for something sweet and she made up something for us. Their chicken dish was the best and a good combination was mixing its sauce with the rice pilaf. The food itself was good enough I wish they had a restaurant I could go to so I could eat it again. The cruise portion was ok but would be better if you were with a large group of people you knew who wanted to dance or even hang out. Or if you were the kind of person who enjoyed chilling on a boat. I’m not but it was still fun. The music was a nice addition to listen to while we cruised along. The only thing hubby and I both agreed was a little off was that the bathroom sinks are so close to the edge you pretty much need to touch the sink in order to wash your hands. Germophobes, bring your hand sanitizer. All in all this was a great trip and I would definitely return if we found ourselves in the same area again. Loved: – Crab Fondue – Dessert: Flourless Chocolate Torte (FAV) – Drink: Strawberry Peach Sangria (FAV) – Grilled Chicken (FAV) Liked: – Citrus Rice Pilaf (best with the sauce from the chicken dish) – Tomato Soup Ok: – Hand Carved Prime Rib with Au Jus – White Chocolate Bread Pudding Disliked: – Mahi Mahi – Wheat Bread

Prytania Theatre – Menu with Prices – 5339 Prytania St, New Orleans

A charming, easygoing, and historic movie theater. We found street parking just around the corner. You can purchase tickets in advance online, but there is a small processing fee which you can avoid if you pay in person ($11.75 for adult). Their small little one-window box office is located right outside the front door, and they do accept card. Just across are the water and food bowls for this Prytania Theatre cat that I’ve heard about, but sadly it was nowhere to be found when I visited ? Didn’t purchase any snacks and didn’t check out the balcony seats, but I found the single screen theater charming. I came to see a foreign movie with subtitles, and was a little worried about the visibility. The seats are not super sloped like stadium seating — not the best for a film that has subtitles. The theater was not too crowded, yet the issue with people’s heads blocking the screen prompted us to sit on the side aisle seats. I can’t imagine how people are able to watch a movie clearly if it was a packed house. The seats themselves are adequate, nothing plush or fancy. I did find the AC rather strong, so bring a jacket! I liked that they had cups and water out in the lobby, at your convenience. Thought that was a nice gesture.
