If you are a fellow tamale lover like myself, then you will LOVE this place. They are made fresh, and once they sell out of a specific kind-that’s it! That’s how you know it’s good. The masa is not too heavy and thick and the meat actually fills the entire tamale instead of one little glob in the middle like some places. The flavor is on point and they’re very easy to eat (the average person could definitely put down two or three)! I highly recommend getting the beef and a jalapeño cheese one! The cilantro rice was also a nice side. My hubby and I can’t wait to come back and try their sweet variety of tamales! Definitely a little Everett family owned gem and I wish nothing but the best for them. Now go get your tamale on!

Maskadores Taco Shop #15 – Menu with Prices – 2100 W Chandler Blvd Ste. 38, Chandler

First time eating from here. Hubby went down the road to grab some , what turned out to be, really great food. Many meat choices. Multiple flavor varieties as in three different chicken flavors. I had the red and vinegretta chicken mixed in a burrito . Then rice, black beans, corn salsa, pico, cheese, jalapeño cream cheese, cremé. Tortilla was fabulous and the combo of items was wonderful. Their salsa bar is amazing. So many different flavors. Hubby got pretty much the same as me. No beans though and got it Wet; really great red sauce over it. Super chipotle flavor to it. We were both happy we found another close place w great food and really cordial staff. They let you taste just about anything before you order. We highly recommend location for yummy food. Lots more meats and sauces to try. Beef, pork, fish, shrimp… Looking forward to the next visit!

Mi Carnal Restaurant – Menu with Prices – 2471 US Highway 1 South, St. Augustine

At first glance it doesn’t look like a lot but want you walking and you notice the single refrigerator in single counter and tables you know you’re in a authentic restaurant and definitely not a chain you can tell it’s owned by a family because there is one man behind the counter and two females in the back possibly a wife and a friend everyone that comes in seems to know them because they greeted they friendly and wife comes from back I had the mixed burrito so it contained both meats of steak and chicken it was great it was full of flavor and they come out with three different salsas that are different heat ranges so you get a choice and the food is a mixture of Salvadoran and Mexican so it’s a nice surprise when tasting the meat and beans and rice a very even balance and my mother had the tamale with rice and beans it was traditional made from El Salvador so the tamale contained olives and small bits of potato but my mom wasn’t displeased even with her being accustomed to traditional Mexican food so all and all it was a great experience and they offer beer if you are looking for that as well 6 to be exact . Hope you enjoy it

Farm Market – Menu with Prices – 1079 E New Circle Rd, Lexington

Always in seek of great “holes in the wall” when we’re traveling, Farm Market seemed like an ideal choice. It turned out to be over of those meals we’ll be talking about to anyone who will listen for a long time to come. It feels so much like similar places we visited while in the Southwest a few years ago – family run, filled with colorful Mexican tchochtches, beautiful pinatas, a few groceries and fresh produce, all for sale at super reasonable prices. We were greeted immediately by an incredibly nice woman who was patient with the newbies. She steered us toward her favorites, and everything came out piping hot as if by magic, five minutes later. Favorite overall dish: jalapeno-cheese tamale topped with (more) cheese and hot salsa. Perfect and filling all by itself, not that we didn’t manage to tuck into an order of chorizo tacos (tender, homemade tortillas and the flavorful meat was not too greasy). The pork tamale was also great, but we wished we’d added the cheese and salsa to that choice, too. The fresh Pico/lime wound up on top of everything. This one of those places that makes us feel jealous of the locals – please frequent Farm Market so it’s here for us next time! ?

Tamaleria Nuevo Leon – Menu with Prices – 2139 Buckingham Rd, Richardson

This place deserves zero stars. All the tamales are filled with a mushy mass. The masa was dry and tasted old. The chicken and cheese tamale filling had no flavor. It did not taste like chicken and if it had cheese you could not see nor taste it. The masa had a lot of pepper although it did not say they were spicy on the menu. The bean, cheese and jalapeño tamale was also filled with an indistinguishable mushy mass. It was also dry and it tasted like it was spoiled and perhaps rotten. We could not eat them and threw them away. The so called “pineapple” empanadas had no pineapple which could be seen or tasted. The dough was a dried up, greasy, crumbly mess. You won’t be seeing this place opened very long. The day after we has the runs. So far I’ve gone to the toilet 5, I say 5 TINES. BEWARE OF THIS PLACE IF YOU DON’T WANT TO GET SICK.

City Tamale – Menu with Prices – 1316 Oak Point Ave, The Bronx

I’m fairly new to the area and heard really great reviews about this place. I have ordered delivery from here 3 times so far and the last 2 times there has been a mistake with my order. Last week I placed an order online for vegetarian enchiladas. I received the order quickly which I appreciated. However, because my office provided us with free lunch that day, I did not check it until I was preparing to have it for dinner when i got home. I was highly disappointed at realizing that they had sent me chicken enchiladas, and not the vegetarian ones that I requested. It was too late to do anything about it at that point so I had to give it away as I do not eat meat. I checked to make sure that I had not accidentally placed the order for chicken and I confirmed that I did request vegetarian. I decided to give them another try today. This time I ordered a cheese tamale and a bean tamale. I did not receive the bean tamale, but instead received another cheese tamale. While this is not as big of a deal as last week, because I will still eat it, I would hope that they pay more attention to what is being requested on online orders. Otherwise, the food is decent and I would order again, hoping that they get my order correct.

Taqueria Sinaloense – Menu with Prices – 4418 Edward Rd #4498, West Palm Beach

My review is for the taco truck they have outside some evenings. I haven’t been inside the building. I ordered an asada burrito , chorizo, carnitas and Barbacoa tacos. It was after 11 on a Friday . Service was friendly and cashier spoke perfect English. I started with the burrito. It was medium sized; steak was flavorful and tender, came with some rice, lettuce, tomatoes and cheese, with their orange sauce, radishes and limes in the side. The tacos came with their green sauce on side and more radishes and limes, plus a big cooked jalapeño. They were heavy on the cilantro and all three were outstanding. Carnitas was excellent, Barbacoa was delicious , and I LOVED the chorizo. Their chorizo is the spicy sort and the best I’ve had in the area among the other taquerias I’ve tried. Liked that they included the cooked jalapeño as well. Can’t really comment in the service, but this is some pretty good Mexican street food.

Ton Kob Thai Bistro – Menu with Prices – 1565 Eureka Rd Suite #9, Roseville

This is going to be on our regular list! Already wondering when we’re going to be able to come back! They are family owned and some of the nicest people ever- pretty sure we’ll be on a first name basis by the end of summer lol! I had the chicken satay and it was yummy with 2 sauces on the side- a peanut sauce and a cucumber sauce. We shared the freshest spring rolls with a sweet chili dipping sauce – delish! My hubby had pad Thai with shrimp and beef – he does not like to share but had no choice lol because when it arrived the smell made me want to climb over the table and into the bowl of sweet and spicy goodness. You can also order your sauces on the side from 1-10, 10 being the hottest – I’m weak sauce so I’ll always be a 1! Come and see these peeps and give them so much deserved love cause you’ll get it back in everything they do

Kirkendolls Eats&Treats – Menu with Prices – 280 E 70th St, Shreveport

Wow! We went to go to a place across the street that was closed and out of pure luck we stumbled upon this magical gem of BBQ. This is a family owned small dive that ended up being some of the best BBQ I’ve ever had. I don’t even care for BBQ but when my wife and I left I didn’t leave with leftovers. And the price is amazing! 5 bucks for three chicken options that includes two sides a drink and a cookie. It’s better quality and more than what you could ever get fast food. I can’t believe how much each of us got for 5 bucks! I ordered the BBQ wings with dirty rice and potatoe salad and I would highly recommend both sides. My wife got the breast, which was HUGE!!!, along with potatoe salad and mac and cheese. The mac and cheese was perfect. All in all this place is worth every penny spent and a hidden gem!

Seydi?s Pupuseria & Grill – Menu with Prices – 2625 E Greenway Pkwy suite 107, Phoenix

Seydi’s Pupuseria & Grill is a casual order at the counter Salvandorian Restaurant that specializes in the pupusa (stuffed flatbread cheese/vegetable and cheese/meat). They are located in a strip mall in North Phoenix. They also offer Salvadorian style breakfast (tamale, rice, beans, plantains, eggs, burritos), appetizers, combination plates and around a dozen kinds of pupusas. The food is mostly fresh prepared to order so it takes around 15 minutes or more for your order. We ordered, paid and sat ourselves and in about 15 minutes we had two enormous plates to share. We started with steak with two pupusas…..The pupusas were OUTRAGEOUSLY CRAZY CRAZY GOOD! and were also much larger than we were expecting. They are like a super great grilled cheese sandwich but much tastier. They are basically masa pancakes with cheesy crisp ends and are filled with LOTS of yummy melty mild cheese and whatever filling you pick. We picked the wildflower and the jalapeño…..(both were really good but GET THE JALAPEÑO!). They give you a very sharp tasting but also spicy slaw and really flavorful chili sauce to dress things up. The steak was a little chewy but we really loved the pupusas. ($9.50) The other plate we shared was the fried tilapia ($11.99) It was a WHOLE fried fish and was so tender and flaky. The meat just fell off the bones. It came with tasty studded rice, a fried jalapeño, flavorful beans and tasty hand made corn tortillas. The person that took our order was friendly and checked on us too. What a treat! This is a place that you would want to try!

Cabo Bobâ??s – Menu with Prices – 847 NE Interstate 410 Loop, San Antonio

After a couple visits to Cabo Bob’s I am sold. An outstanding burrito, I haven’t tried anything else yet, but love the burritos. They offer up burritos, tacos, salads, nachos and bowls, perhaps quesadillas as well. They have various topping and protein options, to include fish tacos, or fish anything if you like which is crispy tilapia, steak fajita, chicken fajita, shredded pork, shredded brisket, and sautéed veggies. The chicken reds and toast your tortilla to order as well which is nice. So on my most recent visit I went with the steak burrito, and asked them to make me a tortilla using all 4 flavors so they mixed buttermilk flour, ancho chili, cilantro tomatillo, and Smokey cheddar to make me a nice tie dye tortilla, filled with steak, cilantro lime rice, Baja beans(sautéed veggies mixed with pink, cargamanto, navy, and black beans) which seemed like a nice mix to me. Th that I added fresh shredded Monterey Jack cheese, sautéed poblano peppers, onions and zucchini, along with lettuce, guacamole, sour cream, queso, pico de gallo, chopped onion and cilantro as well as diced fresh jalapeño, and shredded cabbage. Top all that with some fresh lime juice, tangy tomatillo salsa, hot jalapeño salsa, chipotle crema, and their hot 66 red sauce and my massive burrito was complete. I decided on no sides, and did not need them as this massive burrito should be able to fill anyone up. The burrito has great flavor from the mix of beans, so the melding of all the sauces and fillings, some citrusy tang, a bit of spice, and nice texture. Soft beans and rice, some well seared meat, and the fresh pico, plus a nice crunch from the cabbage all come together to make an amazing burrito. I highly recommend trying out Cabo Bob’s, and I am sure all their other items are amazing too, but I am in love with the burritos. A very cool little restaurant, with a nice beach, Baja surf shack feel, putting out quality food, using quality ingredients, so for around $10 you can get a pretty massive burrito that is sure to leave you satisfied. They can do gluten free corn tortillas as well, and have many veggie, and if need be dairy free options. They also don’t use any high fructose corn syrup in their drinks, so they have all specialty sodas which is pretty cool. So if you are near the airport and wanting a good west coast style burrito check it out I am sure you will enjoy the experience.

Wanted Restaurant Menu with Prices 1160 University Ave, Berkeley

Came here with 4 other friends yesterday for iftar (total 5 people). 4 of us ordered the family platter to split and 1 of us ordered a separate order of burger combo. If you do come here with friends or family, the family platter is very very good value. My friend who ordered a separate burger combo was also happy, as he said the burger was also very tasty and filling. I wasn’t expecting much before coming here and wasn’t sure if I was going to be full eating a family platter with 3 other people, especially since we were all basically as hungry as it gets after a long day of fasting in the middle of finals week… ***IT WAS PERFECT!*** All of us were beyond satisfied with everything (which to make 5 starving college students who happen to be very capable eaters happy for iftar I’d imagine is not easy). The owner (probably) took our order and told us there might not be enough rice for a family platter. We asked if he could include fries with whatever rice there was, which he gladly accepted (which turned out to be better than if we had just gotten rice.) Eventually, after a little bit of confusion about whether there were water cups, the owner generously offered to give us bottled water or any drinks we choose on the house for free. Throughout our time there, the owner was so extremely nice and routinely checked up on us and asked if we needed anything. He also offered us dates as he must’ve figured we were breaking our fast. He also later offered us more fries for free. The whole time, he was very nice and there was just a nice, warm, generous atmosphere. So for the family platter, there was rice, salad, fries on the bottom and a good portion of lamb and chicken on the top as well as a good amount of pita bread on the side with two different sauces. (Also, the lamb here is GOOD, it’s not store-bought/pre-cooked or mixed with beef.) And like I said, our friend who ordered separately also really liked the food, so I’m sure that the individual menu items are also very good. Everything was amazing thanks to the two people there. I will definitely be back here many times and I would highly highly recommend this place to anyone, especially those eating with family and/or friends.

El Oasis Restaurant – Menu with Prices – 1000 E Irving Blvd, Irving

Summary: A delicious, family owned hole-in-the-wall, that has meals that you will day dream about for days Full Review: If you have ever craved authentic Nicaraguan home cooked meals or if you seek to expand your palate with some amazing Latin food that doesn’t include a taco shell, El Oasis should definitely be one of places to dine before kick the bucket. As far as the decor goes, there is nothing special about this place. It’s a clean and simple setup with plenty of seating for couples and big parties alike. Although the restaurant was mostly full, the atmosphere was parallel to that of sitting at home and enjoying a meal while watching a muted tv or listening to some relaxing music. The waiters are made up of a father and son duo and the chef is none other than mom. You’ll be treated with nothing less than big smiles and a desire for you to enjoy your meal. The meals consist of large portions, a plethora of inexpensive choices, and all of them packed with lots of flavor. The Nacatamal (Nicaraguan tamale) is out of this world; chunks of chicken and pork with some potato, rice, and a few veggies all wrapped up in banana leaf. The Sopa de Res (Beef soup) was huge and packet with veggies. Rice and white corn tortillas included with the soup. You mix the rice into the soup when you are about to eat it. The queso frito (fried cheese) is delicious by itself or with a salad. It’s a white cheese with a sponge-like texture and a high melting point, making it great for frying. As far as payment, they accept all major forms of payment.
