My to go is #5: Smashed Avocado, add pandan jelly and coffee jelly, no boba, no rainbow jelly && Pandan Durian Waffle to accompany it. There are so many other things I want to try. But I’m constantly distracted by those two things. New location. Super clean. Friendly service. They have AC and they accept credit cards. Parking lot is small with giant pot holes, tread carefully. The interior design is slightly confusing. Their concept is a mash between Paris and London. With a simulacra drawing of a Bambu Cafe as center piece. Donut Licious – Menu with Prices – 1535 Spring Cypress Rd, Spring

I saw this place rotated around a thread on Facebook… they say donut licious is the place to go for cafe sua da and donuts. Most people are like .. those don’t mix, and lots of people that say they do! I had to try…. Photos look sketch from the outside like a plain ol little donut shop. You transform when you walk in. Cute succulents everywhere, clean and simple design for the interior. A huge menu on chalk board… and your mind fills with indecisiveness. You’re greeted by the owners, a sweet couple that will solve all your problems by directing you to the most popular donuts! I’m looking and so distracted because of all the options. I see it, I found it, it’s the one. I chose pandan flavor.. because wow.. I’ve never seen pandan flavor donuts not in Chinatown. I instantly knew what I want.. give me Boudain kolache!!! Omg crab Rangoon kolache…. wait! Also add on jalapeño popper kolaches!!!! Hit me with that cafe sua da too please! Yussssss! They also take Apple Pay! It’s such a cute place, it’s popular, they have pumpkin spice, and when you come.. you actually want to just sit there and enjoy donuts. They did a great job, and when I get married I’m gonna totally have them do a donut tower for me! Enjoy y’all!!!

Reverie Bakeshop – Menu with Prices – 1930 N Coit Rd #140, Richardson

I feel like 3 stars is too harsh and so I’d give this more of a 3.5/5. I really like the concept of this bakery with its vegan/gluten free offerings. There are kolaches, cupcakes, cakeballs, empanadas, cookies, and many other goods (donuts included hehe). Price is decent for the items especially since it’s vegan/gluten free but they might as well start using better ingredients (aka no artificial colors) if the price is already higher than normal. Anyways, I got the pizza and potato tofu scramble kolaches. Both were very good although potato tofu was slightly lacking in flavor. The dough was very fluffy and moist which surprised me. I also got the cinnamon sugar donut holes because I could not resist this carby goodness. Donut holes were ok, dough was slightly too dense. You are better off getting donuts at your local mom and pop shop if you don’t care for the ingredients and if you care about your wallet. Side note, this place was poppin for a Saturday morning. I definitely see the appeal of Reverie Bakeshop but I just wasn’t satisfied with what I ordered. Overall, I enjoyed this place and would definitely come again to try the other items.

Texas Branding Iron – Menu with Prices – 1805 E Ruben M Torres Blvd Suite 17, Brownsville

Well just got out from eating possibly the worst burger ever. And I’m still hungry. The restaurant is a bit mismatched. The front door has different handles on it, like completely different designedv doors, the outside sign is confusing. It says “Texas Branding Iron Burgers, but everything else on the badging says “Texas Branding Iron Burgers Bikes & Beer”. A bit confusing. The decor is pretty sporadic and the entire dining area looks sparsely furnished so therefore looks empty when there are a few patrons there. There are no real changes to what it was 2 restaurants ago. I remember going to eat at this same location when it was the Mexican restaurant before and the interior and furniture actually looks pretty much the same. Drab and lonely. I went with my wife and we were not greeted as we entered. Actually if I did not know how this restaurant worked I would of probably sat my self and waited for someone to come and greet me a and take my order. I mean if I didn’t know you had to walk up to the register and place your order I would of been sitting there for a while. The registrar should be at the entrance so that the concept could be for-mentioned. I ordered 2 number 1’s which was a quarter pound burger with fries and a drink. When we got the burgers I would say that disappointment is an understatement. The burger was dry and cold, and the cheese was the cheapest cheese you can buy, the equivalent to American accent cheese from HEB. No flavor on the burger means the meat was not seasoned. In addition, the fries were horrible. The looked and tasted like they had been fried and just left out until someone ordered and served them then. BTW Branding Iron you must season the fries as well. When the fries are freshly cooked you must salt them while they are wet so the salt can stick to the fries. They were over cooked, dry, and cold. C’mon how can you screw up French fries for God’s sake. Also, I believe the fries were cooked in old oil. They had an unattractive and unnatural color to them. I think that there are a few things that need to be changed, the most important and I cannot stress this enough get rid of your cook. They have no business being in the kitchen. Get someone that knows what the hell they are doing. Take care of your business before the business takes care of you. P.S. Either mostly all the comments on FB that are positive reviews are friends of the owners of this business and just trying to hype it up or the do not know what good food is.

Publik Coffee Roasters – Menu with Prices – 975 S W Temple, Salt Lake City

The last time I came here, I had their chai and I remember it being fairly good. This time around I ordered a 16 oz London fog, they rang me up for the 16 oz but gave me a 12 oz. I let the barista know and she quickly said she’ll fix me up the 16 oz. Unfortunately, the tea lacked flavor and consisted of a lot of foam. A classic London fog is supposed to have vanilla (and lavender in some places) syrup. However, there was no syrup in my tea. I would’ve been fine with paying extra for the syrup but I’m not too sure if they charged me for that or not. Nonetheless, no syrup was added and I was left with a very plain tea (they didn’t steep for too long). I know they don’t specialize in tea but I expected something slightly better. Luckily, I was saved by the avocado toast which was good. I don’t recommend this place for studying as the tables are quite small and there are few outlets, especially on the bottom floor.

Donuts – The Donut Makers – Menu with Prices – 13651 Magnolia St, Garden Grove

This mom and pop donut shop is one of those gems in all of Garden Grove. Upon entering The Donut Makers, you get hit with a decadent aroma of donuts, freshly brewed coffee, and freshly baked croissants. I found this establishment on Facebook page, when a student posted about it. She stated that donuts were baked every morning and everything is made to order. She also stated that everything was affordable and made with quality ingredients. My personal favorite is the Pandan donut. I have had to Pandan before but never as a donut. Upon taking my first bite, you can taste the classic donut but also with that nice, lovely, flavor of Pandan seeping through within the icing. Their sandwiches are amazing as well. I inform them that I’m vegetarian and they were willing to modify it without an extra charge!!! If you are within the Garden Grove/ Westminister area, please visit The Donut Makers! Their affordable donut do not only feed up to the hype, but also fill you up with guilt free pleasure!!!

Prime Time BBQ, Meats & Deli Menu with Prices 1927 20th St, Bakersfield

Had lunch here for the first time. We had plans on going someplace else but saw the sign, so we thought we would go in and check it out. The girl at the register was super friendly, she waited on us and was very help. I ordered the tri tip sandwhich and my Husband got the pastrami. We ordered a potatoe salad to share. We were told they had a outside patio, small but cute. We sat out front it seemed a bit cooler. They have inside seating also. It was clean, and aside from the deli there is a nice meat counter to order from. They have several of wines and beers from the Solvang brewing company for sale. We really enjoyed our lunch and the meat on the tri tip was very lean which I loved. They have a few other sides that I plan on returning to try, but the potatoe salad was good. The only reason for the four starts and not the five was it was a bit confusing because the place is called Prime Time BBQ Meats, but on one side of the building it has a different name. That is not good, so I had looked up the wrong sign at first for times the place was open and closed. But I had the wrong sign. So they really need to correct that. But everything was tasty so check this place out.

Excelsior Coffee – Menu with Prices – 4495 Mission St, San Francisco

Awesome coffee shop out in this part of the city – I highly recommend for anyone who loves coffee! The first time I came I ordered two coffees because I loved it so much! I’ve tried all sorts of drinks here, and have loved all of their espresso based drinks as well as their cold brew. I also love their assortment of pastries – not sure who makes these but they offer various ube and pandan desserts! I’ve tried their ube brownie (delicious) and their ube/pandan cookie things (also delicious), cheesecake tart things, banana bread (their slices are gigantic), chocolate croissant, etc. I will definitely be back regularly!

Puff French Pastry – Menu with Prices – 10130 Garden Grove Blvd Unit 109, Garden Grove

I decided to come here after I saw they serve durian ice cream! As a person who loves durian, I had to come here! When I came they had a few pastries out like the strawberry crossiants, some strawberry tarts and cream puffs. But we came towards the end of the night so we decided not to get any of the stuff cause who knows how long that’s been sitting out. The nice part is that it does look like they make their stuff in house so I’ll have to come back early in the day to try it fresh! I really came here for the ice cream and it did not disappoint! During my visit they had durian, pandan and cherimoya (soursop) flavors. They let you sample their ice cream before choosing and honestly all their flavors were really good! The cherimoya was surprisingly very sweet but the consistency was more like a sherbet. Probably needed some more mixing and it tasted way to sweet as if there was added sugar. The pandan was pretty spot on with how you would expect the pandan flavor to taste like. If you wanted a pandan flavor ice cream, it does not disappoint. Now my personal favorite – the durian. They made this fresh from real durian (possibly frozen but I ain’t even mad). The flavor of the ice cream was sweet and was as much as you can imagine durian to be. No added sugar, just fresh durian blended into an ice cream consistency. So yummy! My boyfriend on the other hand disagreed. But if you’re a durian lover, the ice cream is right up you alley! The best I have had! Must try! The only downfall is that I felt it was a little pricey ($3.50 a scoop) for a small portion. I wish they gave you a bigger scoop but I guess the price comes with the ice cream being made fresh from the fruit itself. Will definitely be coming back to try their during pastries but to have the ice cream again !!

Fresh Gourmet Bagels & Cafe – Menu with Prices – 21202 Beach Blvd, Huntington Beach

We had the pandan bagel and the everything bagel, and they were amazing! Pandan is something we had never seen before, and the owner was so sweet. She explained it was an Asian leaf with an almond and vanilla flavor, and the bagel itself is bright green from the leaf. It was topped with cinnamon sugar and was so delicious, not too sweet just the perfect amount! We also had a vanilla chai blended bubble tea which didnâ??t disappoint either! Weâ??re from NYC and the bagels we have out there have a reputation of their own, but we loved this place!! Definitely coming back and highly recommend!! Super sweet owner with amazing customer service!

Coffee Fusion – Menu with Prices – 836 N Thompson Ln #1f, Murfreesboro

FINALLY REAL FOOD! Being from California originally i had never thought i would see Pandan anything ever again after heading to the south for work. Today i was proven wrong. Pandan waffle, Pandan Cake… And the nice young man at the counter had said his Aunt made the cake! A Real Local, Real Family and Really Good spot all around! Beef Pho was perfect, broth was well balanced and the meat was not overpowering anything. Spring Rolls were stuffed well and uniform and delicious. Red Bean bun was soft and sweet and perfect. Steamed Bun was perfect! Sausage and Hard Boiled Egg! Bahn Mi with BBQ Pork was fantastic! Perfect Bread, tons of veggies inside! Paté and all! Thai Iced Tea was excellent. Vietnamese Iced coffee was a heavy hitter! POW! All in all this was so good that i was very upset i didnt have any cash on me to leave a tip. So i drove down the street and bought something at walgreens down the st just to get cash back to run back in and give the young guy at the counter. These are the businesses we need in this world. Find them. Love them. And support them.

The Fountain Ice Cream Coffe And Desserts – Menu with Prices – 10102 China Spring Rd suit #110, Waco

I just learned what this place is. Itâ??s an ice cream store. I cannot read their signs over their shop or the one by the road. I might suggest a more readable sign to identify yourself and get people to visit. My one complaint is that my sons told me that they serve bluebell ice-cream. Itâ??s not homemade, which Iâ??d expect for the prices. I guess if you want a scoop and donâ??t want to go to H.E.B., then itâ??s an alternative that is a bit more local. Iâ??ll stop in and update my review now that I just discovered what the place is. I based my 3 stars on my familyâ??s feedback and my frustration at not even knowing that they existed from signage that says nothing of who they are and what they offer. Seriously, consider a better designed sign to tell the community what you are and what you offer. Simplicity with a clear message beats any artistic design every day.

London Curry House Menu with Prices 4906 Brenman Park Dr, Alexandria

We came across London Curry House because we saw a sign outside of the little neighborhood where it sits while we were on our way to get oil change in Alexandria. After our oil change, we decided to check it out! The place opens at 12 pm on Sundays and we were a bit early so we grabbed some cappuccinos at the coffee shop across the street. We came back at noon on the dot to the restaurant and it was funny because I literally thought I’m that crazy doorbuster person during Black Friday sales lol! We were the first customer in the restaurant and I love that! The aroma of the place smelled so good as they had just laid out their food for the lunch buffet and the kitchen has some type of an open kitchen layout which I actually like. The place has an amazing decor, very stylish and modern but at the same time very cultured and authentic. It’s got some cute decor such as the London red phone booths (they don’t open btw so don’t try lol) and the little sign that says the restaurant name on a sign that is commonly found in the London tube stations! I love those London touches, it reminded me of my time in London! I ordered an Aperol spritz (of course duh) and it was yummy! The server was super nice and he was so helpful. The service here is just amazing. He spoke to us for a little bit asking us if we are familiar with Indian food and we told him about our experience of Indian food in London and we had a great conversation with him! We did walk into the place in our workout outfits so he thought we were there for the lunch buffet! I don’t blame him, we were underdressed lol. We decided not to do the lunch buffet because buffets are just not my thing. I have been meaning to try chicken biryani cooked in a pot with the dough on the top so I looked on the menu and unfortunately, it wasn’t there. However they had the Goat Dum Biryani. I don’t really like goat for one personal reason (I watched my pet billy goat die in front of my young eyes when I was growing up in the Philippines so I can’t eat goat forever), so I asked the server if I can get the dum biryani in chicken and he said YES! I was so excited to finally try the biryani cooked with the dough on top! My chicken biryani came in this cute bowl covered in dough and it was steaming out and the dough was baked to the golden perfection it was! I was drooling at this point! My bf always copies me so he got the goat biryani one. The other server opened up the dough to release the smoke and the biryani inside and I legit died inside. I died in Indian food heaven. It was so amazing to just witness the server cut open the biryani, like that’s so freaking cool! The biryani itself was so yummy and the flavor was amazing! The chicken was tender and the spice was not overwhelming. I also ate the dough on top of it and it was crispy and it was like a thin baked naan! My bf enjoyed the food so much he finished the whole bowl of his goat biryani! The bowl is definitely good for 2 people and we ordered 2 so we had leftovers! We definitely loved this gem that we found! I’m never really a fan of Indian food because I always find that the spices are too overwhelming for my palette (except when we were in London, UK when I had the best Indian food in my life) but this place is certainly comparable to the Indian food in London! We will come back here again and take friends and family with us for sure. We are already planning on renting out the large room that can fit up to 25 people for a birthday party! One thing I also love is that not everyone in the table has to do the buffet so if you want a regular item from the regular menu, you can do that. And whoever is with you that want to do buffet, they can do buffet as well! Service was great and there was no issue with parking spaces!
