This is a hotel restaurant, so it’s a little pricier (especially for breakfast or brunch) than some alternatives a freeway exit or two away. That said, the food here is actually quite good and the service is excellent. Adjacent to the lobby, this large, well-appointed dining room is conveniently located near the main entrance to the hotel, features plenty of natural light, and can typically seat any sized party without a long wait. In addition to the bar, there are a couple of strategically placed clusters of large screen TVs scattered around the main dining room enabling diners to watch their favorite sports team if they wish. More importantly, there is plenty of seating for those who would rather not be bludgeoned with television while dining. We watched San Jose State beat the University of New Mexico Lobos last Saturday night (October 4) at the bar. Our bartender (I think his badge said, “Jeff,” but I think he goes by “Jay”) took great care of us while we sipped wine by the glass and noshed on a Wedge Salad, Flatbed Pizza dish and a wonderful Edamame and Firecracker Shrimp appetizer. There was so much food we didn’t finish off the salad until the next day for lunch. The flatbread item was tasty enough, albeit unexceptional, but the firecracker shrimp was spicy (like God intended) and the edamame was grilled in a soy-based sauce that added a lot to this traditional Japanese snack. And the Wedge Salad was as good as any I’ve had anywhere — nearly half a head of iceberg lettuce dressed with plenty of blue cheese and featuring fresh tomatoes and a ton of bacon chunks. Breakfast features all of the menu items one would expect, as well as, an excellent self-serve continental breakfast which includes a variety of cereals, breads and pastries. The commercial bakery mini-bagels are soso, but there is an excellent selection of fresh tomatoes, sliced onion, lox, capers and cream cheese to dress them to taste. On weekends, guests can opt for the buffet which features made-to-order omelettes, scrambled eggs, bacon, a couple of sausage options, country fried potatoes, and fresh fruit and anything from the Continental Breakfast Bar. Unlimited fresh juices and coffee (and/or tea, milk, etc.) are included and served at the table. The brunch buffet also includes either pancakes or waffles, but they don’t fare well on the steam table and tend to either dry out or get too cold to melt butter on them. Overall, theGREATROOM features good food, excellent service, easy freeway access and has become my “GoTo” business dining spot in southern Alameda (Fremont/Newark) County.

Rosalina’s Kitchen – Menu with Prices – 83 Hamilton St, Worcester

I have been wanting to try this restaurant when I heard it was credited by Phantom Gourmet. The experience was far from meeting expectations. It started from the first call. We placed a take out order and the woman was not very friendly who took our order. Then when we got home and saw the food – we were less than impressed. The chicken picatta which I ordered with gemelli pasta when I was asked linguini or gemelli was prepared with penne that tasted like it was out of a box. The chicken was overcooked, the breading was white and barely there, and there were only a few pieces. The spinach was also very sparse. The wedge salad we ordered was served on half a romain with a quarter of a tomato cut all different ways and then long strips of bacon. The dressing was way too much. It all looked like it was just thrown together. When Paying $18 for a chicken picatta and $8 for a wedge salad you expect better quality. Won’t be going back or recommending. Glad we just did take out rather than dining in.

Bordertown Coffee – Menu with Prices – 315 16th Ave SE, Minneapolis

The reviews on here is what got me to first visit Bordertown and I’m happy to report – I was not disappointed! It was a little hard for me to find because it really just looks like any of the other little houses in the neighborhood. The entrance is on the left side if you’re facing it (it took me an embarrassing amount of time to find it). Starting with the menu – they have all your coffee standards and basics and not too much outside of that. I typically go with my standard hazelnut latte. The coffee is excellent, one of my favorites so far in Minneapolis, and definitely the best in Dinkytown. They serve lunch from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm. I’ve ordered the bacon biscuit sandwich which has thick cut bacon – soooo good! The side salad is an option for all of the lunch options or a bag of chips. I get the side salad because it’s really yummy! I’m not well-salad-versed enough the dressing they use but it’s refreshing! Their portions are also a good amount of food, nothing outrageous but also not bird food. The service is also always good! Not the stand out for this place for me but they do their job and they’re nice! The dining area is darker than I would ideally like it to be but there is a large window and plenty of seating options. I like when cafes have both couch seating and table seating. Bordertown has plenty of both as well as high tables and low tables. Would highly recommend to anyone in Minneapolis!

Oby Lee Winery Menu with Prices 3000 Washington Blvd, Arlington

This is an excellent spot to grab breakfast, lunch, or even brunch. Every dish includes crepes and are plentiful. I am a huge fan of the Crepes Benedict and the Smoked Salmon Lox and Eggs. The former includes eggs in any way you prefer, Canadian bacon, hollandaise sauce, a side of salad with light dressing, and a crepe. The latter includes eggs and salad as well. The salmon in this dish is made with perfect texture and taste. Additionally, the cream used in this meal is insanely tasty, without sacrificing the flavor of the other ingredients. The sweet crepes are delicious, without being too sweet. They are a great way to end any meal. Oby Lee is also known for wine and coffee, where there’s a variety of each to choose from. When it comes to the coffee, it is fresh and brewed perfectly. You can also buy their different coffees in bags for a decent price; for example around $6 for a 16 oz of flavored coffee. The wine comes from a wine fountain where you can choose from different fill levels such as a tasting level glass, a medium glass, or a large glass of wine. Additionally, the pricing differs depending on the quality of the wine. The wine is controlled well in the fountain, so the taste is always A1. The staff members are respectful and quick to serve. The atmosphere is clean, casual, and plays great music. This is a nice place to enjoy a meal by yourself, or with friends and family.

Hammbone Willy’s – Menu with Prices – 3290 Main St Ste 202, Frisco

Came here for a late lunch on Saturday and the restaurant was pretty empty. As we walked in a waitress told us to have a seat and she would take our order. Looks like the restaurant is set up to place your order at the counter and then they deliver to your table. Either way we took a seat and we were given paper menus to review. Overall the service we received was great throughout our meal. Restaurant is large with an open kitchen and a bar set up in the middle of the restaurant. Make note that the bar only serves beer, so my wife was not able to order her usual margarita. To start our meal we had the hatch queso and a half order of onion rings. The queso was delicious with a spicy kick that was not overbearing. The chips looked home made but unfortunately they were stale. The onion rings where good but the breading comes off easily so it creates a mess while eating. For our entrees we had the Texas smoked blue wedge, a lettuce wrapped smokey blue bacon burger and a burger bowl. The wedge salad was very good, best part of the meal. The salad was plated nicely and the dressing was delicious. The blue bacon burger was unfortunately not as good. The burger was over cooked and overall it’s pretty small for the price. I expected much stronger flavors considering it has blue cheese. My wife liked the burger bowl, especially the guacamole it includes on the top of the burger. The portion size for the bowl is large. Overall this is a nice restaurant that did not deliver consistently throughout the meal. There are too many burger joints around that have more flavorful larger burgers for the same price point. Also due to the limited bar I can’t say this place is worth coming for drinks only. Looks like this is one and done for us.

Jikan Japanese Restaurant – Menu with Prices – 3495 Concours St Suite E, Ontario

We ended up at this spot by chance. It was a surprise date night for us, and we were very hungry. This 4.5-star place popped up in the vicinity because I was craving some sushi. Nothing special about the aesthetics of this place. It is very plain looking from outside and nothing much inside. When we entered there was one person working behind the counter and he pointed us towards the direction of a dining room. Started off with some garlic edamame and the gyoza. I was impressed with the edamame because the garlic was fried before being placed on the edamame. The garlic gave it a nice flavor. Maybe not the best thing for a first date, but if you have been married for as long as I have, a little garlic will not get in the way. I was more impressed with the homemade gyoza. This is the one of the best places I have eaten gyoza. The gyoza tasted fresh and it was full of meat. It did take them a good amount of time to bring them out, and I believe it’s because they had to make them fresh. They do have a good deal for a 12oz Sapporo draft at $2. I was able to put back a few and spend less than $10 on beer. They do not fill the glasses all the way, so make sure to watch out for that. The menu items are reasonable priced for sushi/sashimi. This is not an AYCE place. I went with a few pieces of sushi and I thought they were very good. The sweet shrimp was tasty, and the heads were fried just right. If you feel like cooking your own dinner, you picked the right place. There are several different menu options to choose from. My wife and I split the Meat Lover plate ($35) and it comes with a wide selection of beef and chicken and includes one bowl of miso soup and house salad. I could have went for some pork belly, but it was not included with this plate. The wagyu was delicious. The chicken was flavored and had a good taste. The grill did not cook evenly, so test out your grill for hot spots first. The plate did come with a couple of pieces of onion and possibly mushroom stems. I was not impressed with the veggies, but I guess the plate is called the Meat Lover and not Veggie Lover. The service was okay. I would have liked if they cleared dishes from the table. It seemed like most of our dirty dishes sat at the table while more plates were being brought out. Overall this is a decent spot. I would visit again to try some of their other dishes. They did have a Yelp check in deal for a free soft drink and 3% cash back for rewards.

Romano Cucina Sunset Beach – Menu with Prices – 16595 Pacific Coast Hwy, Sunset Beach

Stopped by for an early dinner right when they opened. They have a small area out front with a couple small dining tables which seemed nicer for a nice warm day. Inside is pretty dark and compact. Our server seemed like he just rolled out of bed, very nice but no effort/professionalism in his job. The menu has decent choices and the portions are great! The price is higher but because it includes a real decent size house salad and “fresh bread”, which you get anyways. The bread was flavorless but you get olive oil and balsamic to save the day. I ordered the Checca with capellini noodles as my choice (you choose what kind of noodle) and I know normally garlic is a main ingredient in this dish but it was pretty overwhelming – nonetheless, it was absolutely delicious and deserves 5 stars!! My boyfriend ordered a sandwich from the “panini” menu, it was an italian sub not a panini. His dish came out literally a dry loaf of bread with a couple small sausages and some peppers. He said it was completely flavorless not even a hint of salt, he had to drown it in grated parmesan and even then it was very boring. This place has plenty of great reviews and maybe things are different in the heat of the night when the cooks and servers are warmed up!

Partenope Ristorante – Menu with Prices – 1903 Main St, Dallas

This is more of a 4.5 star review, but a few tweaks necessary. I went in for an early dinner last night and was warmly greeted and told they were glad to have me here. say what? Glad to have customers? well, this is gonna be a great experience! At the entry next to the greeter stand, is a small ‘living room’/waiting area set up with a few small couches. very smart…and will relieve crowding on busy nights when waiting for your table. You are then led upstairs to the main dining room. I sat along the window, ordered a glass of pinot ($7) and bruschetta-($5) on HH prices and the Fagioli salad ($12?). Bruschetta was great- though it was served on 2 large pieces of bread with tomatoes cut a bit too big- like, balancing the tomatoes to try to get them in your mouth…Again, small preferences as this was really good- you can taste the quality of tomatoes there. On to the salad- very light and flavorful dressing – wish the vinaigrette was a bit more acidic to balance out the slight bitterness of the little gem salad..again, minor really.. I ended my meal with the tiramisu ($8) b/c…greediness.lol. This, though was not my favorite as i think the cake was a smidge dry despite the dense mascarpone on top. Overall, great experience and friendly attentive service. They clearly had ‘all hands on deck’ and were fully staffed to cover the dining room..wasn’t too busy at 530p, but i do expect they will be picking up the pace really soon! they’re in a great location downtown kitty-corner to wild salsa and a block up from the Statler hotel. I’ll be back to try the pizza and hope to update to 5 stars!

Speggtacular Clearwater Beach – Menu with Prices – 770 S Gulfview Blvd, Clearwater

Had Cobb salad. While it was good it was definitely missing a traditional Cobb salad ingredient. Egg. No hard-boiled egg. It was more like a Chef/Cobb salad mix. It was a large salad with lettuce, red/green peppers, white onions, mixed cheese, tomatoes, bacon, ham, grilled chicken, and avocado. Now this isn’t normally what I would get here but we walked there, I was hot, and I really wanted something cold. Salad was cool. Bleu cheese dressing was also just cool. It was still good but not a Cobb salad I would recommend in the traditional sense. If you liked the combination I described then def try it. If not try one of their many other breakfast items. Those are def tasty.

Parlour Bistro & Bar – Menu with Prices – 2985 Avenue of the Stars Ste 101, Frisco

Amazing staff and service at this new hotel”s bar and bistro. From drinks last night to the breakfast at early am, everyone worked hard to provide excellent, on point service. And the food- served very hot and fresh. The Gringo breakfast was ordered and did not disappoint. The thinly sliced and fried breakfast potatoes were cooked to perfection and a nicely salted exterior. It is served with the main entree being breakfast tacos. The taco shells were nice and fresh, almost homemade, not the out of the supermarket plastic bag, rubbery, and chemical flavored kind. Thank you god! The applewood bacon added a nice, classy touch and upgrade in smoky flavor. The atmosphere is not the typical bright-lighted open area that is a sudden kick in the pants wake up call. Instead, the Parlour has low- lights and a more serene breakfast environment to help ease you into beginning your morning.

730 Tavern, Kitchen & Patio – Menu with Prices – 730 Massachusetts Ave, Cambridge

This review is only for the breakfast buffet on Mother’s and the service we recieved. I literally only took a point off because the mozzarella sticks were not hot & gooey and they only had one meat option at the carving station. Also the omelettes that we ordered from the omelette station were a little dry (should have used an olive oil) and stingy on the cheese. We went this last Sunday for mother’s day and had a great time! This used to be the old Tavern in The Square location which had a Sunday breakfast buffet. Since no other restaurants have a traditional buffet anymore it’s nice to have these guys close by. We arrived as soon as it opened and were seated right away even without a reservation. Everyone was SUPER friendly and welcoming! The options were interesting and plentiful. Along the window there is plenty of fresh fruit, and many cakes, muffins and other Continental buffet choices, to the right of that was a carving station featuring roast pork – I don’t eat pork anymore but it was beautiful! Lol To the left of the dessert table there was a beautiful and fresh tomato, mozzarella and fresh basil salad display! This is one of my fav salads! They also had other green salad options. The hot bar featured a combo of breakfast and lunch options from Eggs Bennie and sausage to fried plaintains and grilled mixed veggies! I love the fact that there were a lot of vegetarian options! Even though I am not a vegetarian sometimes I just like a variety of fruits and veggies! The also had grilled pineapple! Yum! The mozzarella sticks were not hot and gooey, but they were tasty and breading was crunchy so it was a trade off. Lol. All in all, it’s a great place with lots of variety for only $17! Service was great too! I forget my servers name but she was super friendly and kind even though my family likes to linger after we paid the check! I added pictures but the pics don’t do it justice. Go visit for yourself.

Central City Market Menu with Prices 405 Linden St, Allentown

Breakfast. If you want a simple bacon egg and cheese, this is the spot. It starts with a fresh cracked egg paired with Boar’s Head cheese and bacon. Breakfast places should take note on this simple but excellent deli, eggs should be cracked fresh, cheese melted to keep the bacon in place for every bite, and bread should be simple, kaiser or white(toasted). On top of that it is a bodega with an assortment of drinks and snacks. I can’t stop there, let’s talk customer service. I made it known to the cook, that this was hands down my favorite place for a quick breakfast bite. He was intrigued by my awareness of how he made the sandwich and he continued with the comparisons of the other area breakfast places. But at the end of all of this, I find that he was the owner and operator, nonchalantly speaking to every customer with respect and comfort. I’d like to thank him for creating a comforting environment for customers, as well as producing great simplistic breakfast sandwiches.

Pete and Sam’s – Menu with Prices – 3886 Park Ave, Memphis

Samâ??s on Main (7 N. Main St.) already has a 5-star rating on TripAdvisor, located on Main Street at Madison in downtown Memphis, TN. Mustapha the father of the family who owns it, is originally from Lebanon (like Danny Thomas) and he took their Mediterranean heritage into a quick $9 to $20 dollar breakfast and lunch place featuring offerings like Gyros and Baklava as well traditional southern favorites like American Burgers, Fried Catfish and Chicken Strips. They also have excellent ice cream that you can eat there or eat as you stroll up or down Main Street.. . All of that is well known! But, what I want you to be aware of is how the fatherâ??s foundation has spawned and inspired his grown son and Entrepreneur Omar Mustapha, 26 and Imaadh Jayah, 28 a talented chef, to expand upon what was built, and the result is excellent and worth noting. What the two have created under the name Barbaroosa Brothers, deserves a 5-star listing all on its own.. . The two young men have combined their talents to expanded into fine dinner dining. When I say fine dining, I mean a menu filled with offerings that rival those found at the finest restaurants in Memphis. If you go there, with the newly expanded (April 25, 2019) evening hours, you can still get the father’s fare. But now they have taken the Mediterranean heritage made up â??mainly of Mediterranean inspired dinner offerings dishes but which also reaches beyond to other fare. For example, that Mediterranean influence includes Spanakarola, Jayahâ??s unique spin on the popular Greek dish of spanakopita.. . However, if you like more standard American fare like shrimp and grits, a steak or salmon, you will find them. But Jayah puts his unique spin on those as well, and the results are amazing!. . And to make the whole thing even better, you donâ??t have to save up to get fine dining quality food as the prices are very reasonable. My wife and I had a starter, full main dinner offerings, and even some of their excellent ice cream for dessert all for under $50. . . There are a few things you need to know:. . First, they donâ??t offer wine or alcohol! . . Second, since all the lunch type offerings are also available, you can have fine dining while your children have their less sophisticated favorites. That will be a great option for my 16 year old Grand Daughter, when my wife and I have her visit during the month of July.. . Third, this isnâ??t a dress-up linen tablecloth type of place. So, you and you group will be totally comfortable in jeans or shorts and a sweatshirt.. . Fourth, if you are traveling and staying at the many hotels only a couple of blocks away you can get food to go. And, Omar said they will even deliver nearby.
