I am solely basing this review on the individual who we encountered this evening who made our order incorrectly and refused to remake the order even after we told her we were allergic to beans. I had my daughter order 3 tacos and 3 burritos. Usually, the individual who is making our order will ask what we want on the item they are making at that very moment. As the woman was making the tacos, she asked my daughter if she wanted “everything” on the tacos to which my daughter said yes to. She makes the tacos but then proceeded to make the burritos with beans and hot salsa, which we did not want for all 3 burritos. When my daughter tells her that we didn’t want neither beans or hot salsa and that she didn’t even ask what we wanted them on the burritos, she argues and tells my daughter “sorry, you were standing right there for all this time and didn’t say anything and I can’t remake them”. UNBELIEVABLE. My daughter argues that she said yes to everything as she was making the tacos and didn’t ask before she made the burritos, which is typical practice at every single Mexican eatery and usually, the person making your order double-checks what you want item-by-item. The woman continued to flat-out refuse to redo our order (I’m sure it would come out of her paycheck if she had to) because I don’t see a reason other than that why she wouldn’t remake them, especially when we had $23 worth of wasted food that we had to toss in the trash because of food allergies and because this woman was absolutely rude and dismissive. I called this place to express our dissatisfaction to this woman that we encountered and she was not happy. I knew I wasn’t going to get anywhere with her so I asked to speak to the manager/owner and she starts raising her voice and yells repeatedly, “SORRY, LADY, SORRY, NO, NO, NO!”. She continues to say random things in Spanish because she’s upset and of course, because she knows I can’t understand her and so I tell her I don’t understand what she’s saying, so she proceeds to yell even louder and then hangs up on me. I tried to call back and it goes to voicemail and I leave a message that will surely be erased and/or not returned but that speaks volumes about the business if that’s the case. That woman does not need to be working in customer service. People are not easy to deal with and I understand that but refusing to redo our order when we are allergic to the ingredients that we didn’t ask for and not have any consideration for our time and money is upsetting. The unfortunate thing is, this has been our main go-to Mexican food joint for the past year since we moved to this city and every time we have picked up food from here, everyone is pleasant and we’ve had a positive experience each time until now. Lady, get a new job but maybe this is what your limited to and that’s why you’re such a miserable person. Maybe stick to something easier for you, like at a ticket counter or something where you don’t have to interact much with humans and you can be as robotic as you like, but I’m sure you would agree that up too somehow. You make this place look TERRIBLE. Such a shame.

Golden Bowl – Menu with Prices – 31069 Temecula Pkwy, Temecula

There is a new lady there with glasses and she is very very very rude!!! It only takes one person to ruin a business. I ordered my food through grub hub. My boyfriend went there to pick up our food and when he gets there, the lady tells him they do not have an item I ordered (sticky mango and rice) so my boyfriend calls me to talk to her bc i ordered the food. She gets on the phone and then tells me in a very rude tone, that I will have to call grub hub back for a refund, we dont have what you ordered. So, I ask her do you have any other deserts? She responds, “No!” I say nothing at all… not even coconut ice cream? She says, No! Nothing! We ran out of everything, im busy! Then I tell her… ok, well then I will just order something else at equal value, she says oh ok then here talk to guy tell him, Im busy. (Guy was my boyfriend who was there to pick up our food) my boyfriend asks her if he can get his free thai tea because he checked into yelp and she then tells him she is too busy for him to make it… Horrible customer service nobody deserves to be treated or talk to the way this lady does to people.

Tom’s Tacos – Menu with Prices – 4669 Torrance Blvd, Torrance

This is Tito’s Tacos from Culver City, but way smaller, less crowded, and more convenient for those in South Bay. CASH ONLY! CASH ONLY! Lots of parking. CASH ONLY! As I noted in my Tito’s Tacos review, I am not a huge fan of the tacos. However, I really dig Tom’s burritos ? The bean and cheese burrito in particular. I’ve tried the burrito with the meat, rice, etc. as well, but what it all comes down to in the end is that the beans are stellar (lard-tastic) and the cheese combines to make goodness. I usually get some of the liquid guac and salsa and combine it with the burritos for a little extra flavor, but they are good without too. The chips are decent, the burritos are definitely messy, the ordering experience is way easier than Tito’s, but the burritos (to me and my wife) are awesome. Looking forward to going back for some nostalgic flavor from the Culver City days ?

Taqueria Chapala – Menu with Prices – 205 S Fresno Ave, Stockton

I’ve been here a few times never had a issue. I only go for the burritos. Sometimes I’ll find a little fat here not a big deal. Today was the last straw. Went to buy dinner 2 tacos of carnitas with rice and beans and 2super burritos with beef Chile colorado. First when I walked in this new young girl never seen there was giving me attitude because she had to do her job. I first asked for carnita taco. She asked me again what kind even after telling her carnita and at the end she gave me the wrong meat. Dont ever get Chile colorado burritos the meat was nothing but fat it was so gross and to top it off it was basically rice and beans. I couldn’t taste the other toppings. My husband said the rice was bland and beans tasted funny. All that food and only got 2 jalapenos wtf. The service sucked and the cook messed up my dinner.

Taqueria Los Primos – Menu with Prices – 4429 Troy Hwy, Montgomery

Ever since my first time hitting these real deal tacos, I’ve dined in at least once a week. Whether it’s their salsa, tacos, burritos, or pupusa I’ve yet to be less than blown away. I understand why my Texas born wife has always refused to eat what typically passes for “Mexican food” in Alabama. If you’ve yet to eat here, you are doing yourself a HUGE disservice.

Mountain Mike’s Pizza – Menu with Prices – 3601 Pelandale Ave, Modesto

This is, by and large the worst mountain mikes in Modesto. I will never order again from this location. I’ve tried ordering from this location three times, with the same order each time. A large garlic Tuscan with no onions, no olives, and no sun dried tomatoes. The first time I’ve had this order, I got the order with everything on it. We come back 15 minutes after seeing the mistake and being told they would remake the order; they thought we just left (without a refund or our pizza) and didn’t remake it. The second time, the person taking the order on the phone tries to tell me that the pizza didn’t have tomoatoes on it already, so I politely say, “it does, please don’t put them on, can you please make a note not to put them on?” She says sure, and when we get there, again, it has tomatoes on it. So I ask for a remake, and I get the managers telling me sorry, and how sad it is that their employees can’t get the order right. I don’t care, I want my pizza, not to listen to you sit and gossip to me about how you’re inadequate at your job. It’s your fault, not your employees. Just now I call again to make an order, and the person (who I believe is the same manager who was gossiping to me the time previous) tells me the pizza doesn’t come with tomatoes on it. I tell her that it does and she says “it Definitely doesn’t!” To which I say, miss it does. And she goes “well technically it doesn’t because it comes with sundried tomatoes, so it doesn’t nessecarily.” I DONT CARE I don’t want to argue about a pizza. I just want no tomatoes. What an absolute joke. Three strikes, I’m done with this store. Makes me understand how this place has 2 less stars than any other mountain mikes in Modesto.

The Library Tap House & Hookah Lounge – Menu with Prices – 134 W 2nd St, Reno

I literally just left this place. First off I walked in and seen a few people at the bar with drinks, and a guy talking to a female. I went over to the bar and waited about 3min for the man who was intially in the corner talking to the lady. He asks me for my id while talking to the lady the whole time. Then i ask for the hookah menu all while he is still having this conversation with the woman(as if me coming in interrupted his vibe). So finally I place my order for a house blend hookah, he walks to the back and has a part of the hookah. Then he stops dead in front of me and finishes his whole conversation. I mean he literally placed the piece of the hookah down put his foot on the back of the bar and just continued to talk. Im a woman of color and I dont know if the conversation was just that important to be that rude and disrespectful to me as a patron or if it had something to do with me being a woman of color that he just didnt want to service but if i could give 0 stars i would.

Dos de Oros Taco Truck – Menu with Prices – 3310 S 24th St, Omaha

Picked up 15 burritos and 4 tacos from here on Sunday afternoon and everyone loved their food! I had 7 hungry guys working on my roof, and myself and a friend over for lunch … everyone had more than enough to eat. I had the tacos … 2 Lengua, 1 Asada and 1Pollo. With limes and 3 kinds of salsa. It was a really great meal! I don’t typically go for corn tortillas, if I have a choice, but everything about these tacos was perfect. The burritos were stuffed full and delicious. I can’t wait to pick up food from here again.

The Iron Daisy – Menu with Prices – 507 W Gaines St, Tallahassee

My daughter and I came here for dinner tonight. The server greeted us and told us we could take menus and sit wherever we wanted but we would need to come up to the bar to order. We found a table for two and talked while looking at the menu. We were interrupted by two flies that loved that table for some reason so we let them have it! We decided to eat at the bar. I ordered a hibiscus tea and the trio of Gaines street tacos- all with beyond beef (vegetarian beef option as I’m not a huge fan of jackfruit). My daughter ordered chicken quesadillas and we also wanted to check out the chips & salsa. The food came out fast! The tea was good- very mildly sweet. I liked the red and green tacos but I was not into the orange taco. The chips were greasy and unsalted, but the salsa tasted good although it was a bit too thin- rolled right off the chips. She loved the chicken quesadillas, but the beans were flavorless. So we were kinda disappointed with the food, but the server was super sweet and the decor is cool.

Tres Campanas New Mexican – Menu with Prices – 3136 Cerrillos Rd, Santa Fe

I usually shy away from Mexican restaurants. Even in this part of the country (the SW), they tend to serve the same ol’ thing — tacos, enchiladas, burritos — you know the drill. We stumbled upon this place as it was near the hotel and the building at least had an interesting facade. But, definitely not the same ol’ refried beans. For example, I had tacos with pig brains (tacos de cabeza) and my dad had tacos with toungue (lengua). The cabeza was not bad — a little on the bland side, but the lengua was very good. Beans on the side were very good (beans seem to be the touchstone of quality for me lately) — almost like a soup, and tasty. Overall, a very unique menu backed up by good quality food. Give it a try.

Taqueria Jalisco – Menu with Prices – 1722 W Gilpin Dr, Wilmington

You need to understand that these are real tacos, you may get different places, or fancier sitting, but not real and good tacos, the service is real fast, based on the quality of the meat served and the authentically made and served tacos and salsa the cost is really cheap, and you have a very complete grocery store right next to it, where you can find from cowboy boots to authentic cheese and many other groceries. A real different and pleasant experience! Legua tacos and tortas (sandwich) are the specialty, but try the salsa roja and don’t miss the steak tacos…

Taqueria Tepeque – Menu with Prices – 3700 W Dove Ave #700, McAllen

Like other reviewers have mentioned, the biggest draw in to this taqueria are the homemade tortillas. I have been here twice and both times the tacos were ok. The combo is basically the order of tacos and a drink, no charro beans (you have to pay extra) and no potato. I ordered the beans the first time and was very disappointed because they had a lot of the grease on top which I had to scoop out to eat the beans. But to my dismay I didn’t find many beans just mostly pieces of weenies, so it was weenie soup more than charro beans. On my second visit I ordered the potato (on the menu it says it’s topped with butter, cheese, and sour cream). The only toppings I got were cheese and black pepper. I will return for to go orders because I can customize my tacos with pico de gallo and a good salsa at home. But it is a bit disappointing to eat at the restaurant.

Taqueria Hermanos Cardona – Menu with Prices – 610 N Mildred St, Tacoma

I come here often. We love their burritos, but also they do great tacos and other standard taco truck fare. They use good, quality ingredients and good portion sizes even though they are not expensive. My daughter could live off their rice and beans. I like them better than some local restaurants as they are real home cooked beans without too heavy seasoning. The owners are wonderfully sweet and will try to go the extra mile to make sure your order is the way you like it. The only down side is that that level of care sometimes takes a couple extra minutes, but it’s well worth the wait!!!! Great, solid, Mexican offering here with great customer service.
