I just spent over an hour there to have a bite. There was a male and a female serving the guests. I was sat at a table for two that had what looked like a glob of chipotle mayo sauce on top of it. My napkin and chopsticks were placed on top of the glob. Seriously. I waited (timed) 7 minutes for someone to acknowledge me. When they did, I pointed out the glob issue. My napkin and chopsticks were whisked away and my table was wiped down. Then they left. And stayed away. The table was soaking wet so I had to take a napkin from the table next to me and dry it off myself. A total of 11 passes by and 5 minutes later, I was asked what I wanted. I gave my order and in a surprisingly timely fashion, I was given my meal. I sat there for another 7+ minutes until I was given a new set of napkin and chopsticks to eat with, though. By this time my meal was starting to get cold. I ate my meal and drank my beer until I made the mistake of wanting another beer to drink with the remainder of my now cold meal. I placed the empty beer bottle on the farthest corner of the table away from me, as to indicate that I no longer wanted the empty bottle and would like to have a new full one. I sat there. Wanting another beer. Hoping someone would ask me if things were ok and did I need something else. OKAY, Now. There were less than 16 people in the place, using 6 tables. You would think I could get some attention. I didn’t. After 8 minutes waiting for someone to ask me if I needed anything, I got another beer. I finished my now totally cold meal, asked for the check, left ZERO tip, and left. I have been to this place 4 times in the last 2 months. The service has gotten progressively worse and the quality of the food has suffered a bit as well. ZERO for Service! Food quality- 4 out of 5. Atmosphere- 2/5.

A Town Wings Menu with Prices 2480 Flat Shoals Rd, Atlanta

– Poor service. – Aggressively toned handwritten signage to customers when you walk in the door. – Ranch, or Bluecheese dressing must be purchased seperately. – Servers do not communicate that dressing is not included. So you’re SOL if you don’t know to request it before carrying your order away. -Wings taste old. Yes. Thawed out or something. Couldn’t figure it out. – Tables are sticky. – Place was messy. It was my first time there. If only they had a Twitter… Ok. So, I asked for a napkin to wipe my table. I didn’t mind. But it’s bad to ask for a napkin outside of your order. That was an issue for some reason. Server came from behind counter and wiped down approximately 4 tables before mine deliberately. She literally went to every table leading to mine I just took notes. The restaurant was empty. Saw me waiting. Very unprofessional. They are near so many restaurants who serve the same items with better service. I recommend any of them. Don’t waste your money. The low price shows in the business ethics of the establishment. No one cares and it shows in the food quality and the environment. This place needs a “Hell’s Kitchen” consultation for franchises.

Rusty’s Raw Bar & Grill – Fort Myers – Menu with Prices – 9520 Marketplace Rd, Fort Myers

FOOD IS GOOD…. SERVICE NOT SO MUCH. Eaten at this location twice now. First time sat at the bar, and it was like we were invisible. Empty drinks and no one to offer a refill, although there were at least 4-6 bartenders working. They’re busy fraternizing but paying no attention to customers. Second time in, sat at a bar top in the bar area. After sitting down, it was more than 5 mins before anyone asked us if we’d like something to drink. Again, there was at least 6 employees working the bar area. After ordering, we consumed our entire meals, without a single employee asking if we needed anything or how our food was. When food was brought to table, we had empty drinks, but the food runner dropped the food and rushed away without asking if we needed anything. Half way thru my meal, I had an empty beer. Sat for over 10 mins with an empty drink, had four employees walk by our table and not a single one asked if we needed anything. Finally after 16 mins, an employee came to remove our plates and asked if I’d like another beer. The poor service is shocking to me. I grew up in the restaurant industry… service is minimally 50% of any restaurants success. With this kind of service, consistently bad, on both visits; I’d be shocked if this place succeeded in the long term. Like I said in the beginning of this review…. food is good, service not so much.

Kilt & Caber Ale House – Menu with Prices – 53 High St SE, Calgary

Terrible service..let’s see..I went there with a friend , ordered 2 dishes and 2 beers….when the food came…the waitress forgot to set the table (no cutlery to eat mashed potatoes with gravy and ribs…like am I suppose to use my hands umm? Ya I had to ask for cutlery…) , no salt and pepper, had to ask for it, no ketchup had to ask, no napkins , had to ask , and get this; I asked for mayo instead of ketchup and I’m charged $2 for 2 little sides of mayo…like(approx 1.5 tableapoon each)??? Really? Its mayo! I mean if your going to be classy(sarcasm)& charge for a standard FREE condiment in most places around the world at least keep it to 25-50 cents…like $1 for each mayo??? WOW. How much for a side of mustard? Or soya sauce? From what I understand only the ketchup and the vinegar is free…and EVERYTHING else is a charge…(oh and also the ketchup bottle we had was empty after 2 small squirts for 2 people , just to add insult to injury) …hmmm , Didn’t ask if we wanted another beer , or water or beverage, or dessert, it took like 20 minutes before she asked if we wanted more ribs in between servings….like?(all you can eat night) Am I suppose to spend 1.5 hours eating a meal that should only take 30 min? I mean usually one would ask about the food within 5 minutes after serving…anyways the food was good the beer was good, but a meeting about serving food and standard dining table practices is probably needed. I will say the food and the menu looks good…its just how you deliver it that’s really lacking…Who knows maybe the training wasn’t there. The only other thing I can say is I was seated by the kitchen doors and there was a cook walking around in the kitchen wearing nothing but a “wife beater” (ratty old muscle shirt). Gross!!!!!! Like your suppose to cover up in the kitchen #1 for your own saftey while cooking & #2 so your body parts, meaning hair , body and armpit hair and sweat are not falling into the food!!!! Like!??? Jesus christ!

The Butcher Shop Beer Garden & Grill – Menu with Prices – 209 6th St, West Palm Beach

Great ambiance and courtyard. Full craft beer bar which is also nice. However, the service at this place was non existent. After 10 minutes our waitress came over to introduce herself, she then said that she would be back to take our drink order, 10 more minutes comes back and asked us if we wanted drinks? After approximately 10 more minutes we received our drinks, 2 out of the 4 were absolutely wrong (how can you not know the difference between a lager and an ipa?). She then made us wait another 5 minutes for the exchange. So, in 35 minutes (while waiting at the table) we only received our drinks. Once we finally ordered, our food came out and it was another disaster. Two of the steaks were so well done (when everyone at the table ordered rare). Imagine that. In addition, every drink including our waters was empty when the food came out. Now we had no drinks, 2 wrong plates, 2 cold dishes while we waited for them to re-do the other two steaks and the waitress never even apologized. I can only see this place being in business for a few more month before it?s gone. I am not sure if the owners are aware of what a debacle customers are experience, but I had to share my experience because they could and should be doing better. By far one of the worst reviews that I could ever imagine writing for what could easily have been a five star experience. Sad.

Sushiwa Teriyaki – Menu with Prices – 603 W Hastings Rd, Spokane

So very disappointing over all! Portions not worth cost. Food not worth the poor quality of service and unacceptable, alarming to be frank! unhealthy etiquette and lack of service ! Two dishes were ok but very small for price. Requested a common hand roll and it was made wrong and couldn’t even eat it because it was too spicy. The waitress tried to tell us it was right. We made her take it back and they added something but still no good and charged for it. Also we asked for clean dishes for our entrees as our family was sharing. It was like an inconvenience she held our dirty plates as to re-use those and we had to repeat And insist we wanted clean plates. Why?? Bad service, no napkins and never refilling water, or asking if we needed soy sauce dishes, utensils, plates or anything. On top of it she picked a chopstick off the ground and set it on my napkin setting next to my food and utensils! I had to toll it up and say this is gross please take it away. Then asked for clean chopsticks but she never did bring Them. So sad to have this type of experience and a bill to make me nauseous to boot.

Wing Daddy’s Sauce House – Menu with Prices – 3115 W Parker Rd #400, Plano

Came to this place to meet with my co-worker. Pretty cool, bar type vibe. We made it in for happy hour, which was a nice deal. Our waitress was Evy, really nice young lady. She was very patient as we could not figure out what we wanted to try. I got the parmesan wings rating a 9 out of 10 and my coworker got the sweet potato fries with boneless bbq wings. The manager came around an spoke to the customers and introduced himself, which you rarely see. The only reason I give this place 4 stars is because there were a few hiccups. As I reached for a napkin there was a hot sauce bottle on the other side without a lid on it. So yeap, the bottle falls on the empty chair and splats on the couple sitting next to us. Of course they both had on white and I was super embarrassed that hot sauce got all over them and their clothing. Luckily they understood that the bottle was not visible and was just as disappointed as I was seeing that there was not a lid on the bottle. Second hiccup, our waitress forgot to bring our waters. When we were getting ready to leave, she grabbed the check, looked at it and walked off. I was not the one that paid for the meal, so I am not sure what the bill was nor what was tipped. In conclusion, after she was done giving us our check she seemed like she was pretty much done giving us her great customer service. Overall cool little spot to hang out with someone, watch the game, catch happy hour, or whatever you prefer to do.

Gallagher & Graham Fine Spirits – Menu with Prices – 1939 12th St NW, Washington

THE BEST. If you’re looking for a liquor store in DC (or to drive in), look no further. Really. Rarely do I have an experience where I review, tweet, and post on social media about how outstanding it is. I was looking for a bottle of bourbon and wanted to try something different. I perused the shelves for a bit until the owner asked if I needed help. I explained my brand of choice and others I like and asked if there was anything similar he would recommend. He asked I wanted to taste one and told me a little about the distillery. It’s actually a local one that I had heard of and he told me about his interaction with them. It was good, love supporting local #madeindc and supporting women-owned and operated businesses, decided to buy a bottle. Other customers came and went with him offering recommendations to them while I finished my “taste (more like a pour). We talked about other spirits and alcoholic beverages I like and he took note of ones I mentioned that he didn’t carry to ask his distributors. Another bottle caught my eye and he offered me a taste. I don’t know if it was the bourbon hitting but this tasted like the smoothest rum I’ve ever had. I asked the price of the bottle and he said he needed to order more but to take the tasting bottle as a gift. What?!?! For free. I left after thanking him a few times and before he could change his mind. The shop isn’t huge but has a broad selection and I really believe if there is something you are looking for, he will look at how to procure it. They carry all spirits, cold alcoholic seltzers, cold beer and champagne, and wines. Also make sure to have a good variety of local spirits. And they carry organic wines and can easily point you to them. I’m only angry at myself for not coming here sooner. Thank you Gallagher & Graham and Surender for a great first experience!

New Canton BBQ Menu with Prices 2751 S Parker Rd, Aurora

Had to get my A1 maintenance on my car done across the street at Honda. And I was feeling a little nostalgic, I’ve passed by here a few times visiting HMart, and I really missed the fan hups we could get for under a buck (American) in Hong Kong/Macau so I went in to order a BBQ pork with rice. The employees were sitting at the back table(there’s only 3 tables) eating lunch, as a family I guess, conversing in Cantonese. I ordered in English, and she asked if I wanted steamed rice or the fried rice. I guess I should’ve ordered in Cantonese to be clearer. My Chinese isn’t great but I do know my food. Service was quick and she chopped up the meat right away. I know this is primarily a take out restaurant, but there was no offer of water or hot tea. There’s a refrigerator of purchasable cold drinks in the back, but I just had to do with no beverages. I didn’t see them drinking out of any cups either. My meal came out all on a single plate with a fork and spoon, I had to ask for chopsticks. It looks nice I suppose but I expected my rice to come in its own separate bowl to make it easier to eat with chopsticks. Bowl of rice in my left hand, chopsticks in my right grabbing stuff from the meat plate. I was all “Challenge Accepted” to the idea of eating rice off a plate with chopsticks anyway. The rice had a scoop of meat drippings sauce ladled onto it, which was authentic, and there were a couple pieces of cabbage and broccoli. Now onto the main part of the dish the BBQ pork/char siu. If it wasn’t red I wouldn’t have been able to tell it was char siu. I would’ve thought I was eating thinly sliced pieces of pork chop. It was salty and lean. I was expecting a bit more sweetness and more fat. There was 0 fat on my meat. The portions and price were alright and I left full for $11, but I ended get more satisfaction eating a $1.75 sandwich from the bakery inside HMart. Language wise they have decent English, and I’ve overheard them speaking both Cantonese and Mandarin to their other customers

Twistee Treat – Menu with Prices – 6900 Gulf Blvd, St. Petersburg

Let me start by saying that I’ve been wanting to go to Twistee Treat for years. I finally went today. They have so many delicious sounding choices! My husband ordered the root beer soft serve with cherry dip in a waffle cone. He said it was delicious. I ordered the fudge brownie soft serve with cherry dip and a chocolate dipped waffle cone. Mine was also delicious. I have two minor complaints. The first is that it seems like the ice cream is not cold enough to hold up to just existing. As soon as we received our cones, they were already melting and dripping all over the place and were a mess. The second issue I had with my cone was that I received it with the cone being dipped over the napkin that the young lady wrapped around the cone. This meant that I could not eat or enjoy the top inch of my cone because it had napkin glued to it from the Dip. (It is not possible to see the napkin with the dip on it in the photo because I placed another napkin over the top of it) basically I did not get my money’s worth. I had to discard a portion of my cone and ice cream. For some reason although my husband’s calling was also dipped it did not have a napkin wrapped around it during that process . Lucky ham! ? The reason it was so disappointing is that it was absolutely delicious! I will go back, but in the future I will make sure to share with the people working there what happened to my last cone so that they do it the same way.

PHO 21 NOODLES & GRILLS – Menu with Prices – 3465 W Walnut St #221, Garland

Will be my longest review but after eating here, I left wondering what the hell just happened. Saw this restaurant a few weeks ago before heading to Hiep Thai and thought yes, a new pho place to try. Ventured there with the youngest for he’s the biggest pho lover. Walked in to one table but thought, it’s a Wednesday, ahhh. 1. Sat down and next to me was the owner and her 4 yr old twin boys. One immediately came over and hover over my son and their mom came and asked me a million questions. That was fine but then without even asking she plopped them down on my table. I was like ok… but then thought ahh it’s ok. The boys can become friends. 2. The twins then started to run around in the restaurant and neither the waitress, their uncle, mom or dad thought that wasn’t ok. Prob the most unruly boys I’ve seen in a bit but then I still gave them the benefit. 3. One of the twins then ran to that one table and the mom chased him and started to spank him… in front of them. Now, I was a bit taken aback but kept to myself. Mind you the other twin was still hovering over my son to the point he shut off his iPad and told me he didn’t want him there. 4. Mind you, the whole time we were there the mom was just standing next to us. Watching and commenting on how Henry was eating so well. So awkward. 5. One customer asked for additional broth to take home for her daughter. They denied her. I get it but if you’re a new business you should do this for return business. The other customer then asked how much for the broth and the mom/owner said ‘Come back next time and we’ll give your daughter extra broth.’ I’m sure that lady will never return. 6. Henry, only 4, but has used chopsticks before wanted to feed himself. I gave him the chopsticks and the mom took it from him and tried to feed him, while advising me that he’s incapable and will spill it. I was now a bit upset. All I could think at that point was, wow. Btw, I gave Henry back the chopsticks and he fed himself fine. So wanted to post a positive review but I just couldn’t. Too bad, I thought the noodle soups we ordered was tasty but after this experience we will never go back

Mad Swede Brewing Company Menu with Prices 2772 S Cole Rd #140, Boise

Wow. I could not believe how rude everyone here was. First, the bartender snapped at my friends to order at the side of the bar when we walked in. Then when we got a table (which took a bit to obtain as the place was packed), a guy came up to us and our full beers and asked if we were playing trivia. We said no, because we had to go to the airport soon. He asked how soon and we said about ten minutes. He asked if we could give up the table bc someone else wanted it, and we told him they could have it soon since we’d be leaving shortly. A few minutes later, he was harassing is to leave again, before any of us had even finished our beers. He also asked a group of six guys not to move from their tiny two person table into a larger table that they’d claimed first bc he wanted his trivia groupies to sit there. They said, “We’re playing trivia too!” Not sure why he was so rude and concerned about free trivia players more than other people spending money, but as we stood up to leave our beers he was shuffling women into our seats and didn’t bother to say thanks for leaving early without finishing your beers. Two stars bc the beer was good. Zero stars for costumer service and inadequate seating.

Black ?N Blue – Menu with Prices – 24300 Town Center Dr Suite 110, Santa Clarita

Why is it some servers make you feel like it’s your job to be nicer than them. There’s nothing like going out and feeling like your interrupting the servers social time with each other. Man this is so common it boggles my mind that tipping is even mentioned on a bill. On the flip side good service always deserves at least 20% of your bill, and we always tell the manager how good the service was. Now onto this place ……. So last night we got a rare date night, we figured let’s try this place out it looks cool inside & even though some of the reviews were not so great we figured we’d give it a shot seeing as they are pretty new still and very close to our house. Boy did we make a mistake. We were told when walking in that they needed to clean some tables still so we could either wait or sit at the bar, no problem so far. We chose to sit at the bar when we sat down 1 bartender came over asked what we would like, i asked for a wine list, he brought us some menus then went to joking with his other bartender buddy. My husband had asked for a napkin because there was a dollop of ketchup in front of him, he didn’t hear him seeing as he was to busy showing his hurt finger to his coworker. I grabbed a little bar napkin to clean it up. A few minutes later he came back asked for our order, we put in a beer, glass of wine, oysters & wings. He brings us our drink and that’s the last we see of him. Looking around the bar, the lighting is really nice but right there behind the bar is a disgusting 55 gallon white trash bin with stains on it and a trash bag hanging half off of it. Like directly in front of us. A customer next to us complains about a vodka Soda being flat. The bartender asks the customer “Well do you know what soda water is supposed to taste like.” That customer leaves and the bartender tastes the soda and begins to drain it in a bucket. Apparently the customer knew more about soda water than the bar tender ?? First a girl brings our oysters out & my husband had pushed the folded napkin they laid down as place mats out of the way & she goes no it’s supposed to go on the napkin, “okay do whatever you want”, puts them down & walks away. The plate is sitting on two triangle folded napkins. Literally impossible to be level on the bar top. We scratch our heads not understanding what she was going for. We finished those & they were pretty good i liked their spicy ponzu sauce. Next comes out the wings by what looked to be the chef. They were lukewarm & soft (my fault for not asking extra well), like frozen baked wings as opposed to fries. I only ate 2 because while eating the second one, one of the bartender picks up this really gross sludge bucket, dumps it down the bar sink in front of everybody and starts rinsing it out with the soda gun (I’m sure he was using the water button but still gross) after seeing and smelling that i was done. We waited for awhile with empty drinks, seeing as we didn’t have a bartender coming up to check on us. I’m guessing ours went home, we never saw him again. Finally asked a busboy if we could pay our check, he said he would get someone. We watch him for the next five minutes as he cleans the bar, directly in front of us, not asking anyone about our tab. Eventually he walked away. I can’t make this up So finally a bartender made drinks for patrons surrounding us & we said can we just pay cash or did you already charge the card, he said just pay it. I wanted to like this place as it’s literally a few minutes away from our house. But eh… we’ll see what replaces it.
