First and foremost, I love their food. But over the years, their prices have gone up and it’s a bit over priced for their portions. Each star lost was for the following reasons: 1 star because of the prices, and 1 star for a phone order I placed today with a gal who said her name was Tully? I asked but it wasn’t very clear. I ordered chicken pad Thai, yum Talay, and beef lop. I asked for extra bean sprouts on the side and the person taking my order said sure. Then I asked for extra cabbage for my Lop because as we all know, there isn’t a lot to begin with and I like cabbage. At this point the girl said “it’s going to be $1 charge for the extra cabbage.” I said “are you serious? I’m never charged that when I dine in which is fairly often.” She said it was because I wanted 2 “extras” (bean sprouts and cabbage) so it’s something they have to charge for. I was quite shocked. Didn’t think a little extra cabbage would cost me considering I was spending $42 just for 3 menu items. Maybe I should cut back on the business I give this place and invest in another where I won’t feel like an under appreciated customer. Their food is good but it’s unfortunate that other things aren’t up to par. The owner is usually very friendly too when she is there so it saddens me to not be able to give them 5 stars. I also found out when my fiancé came home from picking up the food, that they charged him for a small side of chili oil. That should be a free condiment!!!! For 1 side of chili oil, they charged him $.25. Good thing he didn’t ask for utensils, or extra napkins. They might’ve charged him for those too. AVOID THIS PLACE IF YOU DONT WANT THEM TO SUCK EVERY PENNY OUT OF YOU AS A CUSTOMER.

America?s Best Wings – Menu with Prices – 12551 Jefferson Ave Suite 207, Newport News

I frequently order wings from this place and may I add I usually spend a lot of money here as I order for my family and take a large amount of food to family who live too far to drive here. The sauce is always lacking which is why I order extra sauce. I asked for extra sauce on the side with my wings and when they brought my wings out there was not extra side. The guy proceeded to say it’s on the wings which I said I asked for it on the side AND then he asked who took my order. When he said something to the guy who took my order (instead of just getting the extra sauce) the guy who took the order said it’s on the wings. He goes “you didn’t say you wanted it on the side” in which I said “yes I did”. First I’m a paying customer don’t argue with me about some sauce and secondly it doesn’t matter if I did or did not GET THE SAUCE. Horrible customer service and I won’t be returning. It’s already annoying to have to ask for extra sauce because they do not know how to properly sauce their wings. I refuse to give them my money just to be argued with.

Gom Shabu Shabu – Menu with Prices – 3502 Satellite Blvd, Duluth

Thanks to this place, purple makes my mouth water. If you don’t get it, you need to give this place a try! Gom Shabu Shabu has a special place in my heart. The warm purple broth, the mound of veggies and thinly shredded beef will always be my go to when I need to recover from a cold, or just warm up in general. Each person is given a stove and pot to cook however they wish, whatever they wish! There is also 2 sauce bars; guest bar for diy sauces, and employees if you trust them to make yours for you. I make my own because Im the best sauce maker. The sauce bar consists of cilantro, garlic, green onion, jalapeno, white peanut/sesame sauce, chili sauce, chili oil, ponzu, and other bottled sauces. In my honest opinion their white sauce is the best in the area. so good! For the meats you can order a variety of things, like beef, premium beef*, chicken, pork, lamb, and seafood. each protein comes with a mound of vegetables like napa cabbage, spinach, purple cabbage, corn, bok choi, broccoli, sweet pumpkin, sweet potato, along with a sausage, crab imitation, fish cakes, tofu, rice cakes, an egg, and rice noodles. Its alot, but no refills! They also bring a bowl of fresh bean sprouts for the table too. This is refillable. We always get the premium beef which is served frozen and shaved into little rolls. The only reason I take one star off is because lately the beef has been getting way too thin. Before, the beef was a little thicker so that it would hold its shape even when it melted. But when I went recently, it was so thin that it would just break apart into pieces when it melted or cooked. Normally one order of beef was enough for me but I ordered another one because i was still hungry :(.. Hopefully that will change soon, but either way I will always come back here.

Little Korea – Menu with Prices – 3354 S National Ave, Springfield

I’ve only been here once. The restaurant is relatively small, max occupancy of 49. From what I could tell, it seems like the biggest table accommodates up to 8 people. So if you’ve got 9 or more it doesn’t seem like you could all sit together. They’ve got entres here if you don’t want hotpot- but why come to a hot pot restaurant if you’re not gonna try hot pot??? But it’s still nice for people who come in a group and simply don’t feel like it. It seems to add a nice variety. They don’t have dessert yet but it’ll be coming soon. If you’ve never had hot pot they do a good job putting directions down. There’s a how to on the wall and in the menu. Pretty simple- just cook your veggies and meat in the broth and eat it with rice and their sauce- or by itself! The staff didn’t really ask us if we had any questions- or show us anything- but it’s probably because we’re asian. If you do hot pot you pick a broth, pick your protein, and pick two sauces. You get a veggie basket with Napa cabbage, carrots, sweet potatoes, mushrooms, bean sprouts, some clear noodles, and a bowl of rice. (Although typically you eat noodles with hot pot, but I guess that’s the style here). There are also a lot of add ons. If you want noodles instead of rice you’ll still have to get charged extra since noodles are extra. Everyone gets their own individual hot pot. Broth had good flavor, beef was good. Overall had a good first experience here. I’ll admit though, I wasn’t too crazy about it (this place just didn’t wow me). However, Would still encourage others to give this place a shot, they might really like it.

Sauced Bar and Oven – Menu with Prices – 11121 N Rodney Parham Rd #9a, Little Rock

Food….great! Drinks….great! Atmosphere…..great! Service…..horrible! Ordered off the lunch menu while sitting at the bar and got a pinnacle pastrami sandwich. Menu said it came with certain sides. I chose Brussel sprouts from the list of sides that came with the sandwich. When check came, they charged me extra for the side. I asked if the side came with the sandwich and waitress/bartender?? Said no. I then grabbed a menu and showed her where it included the Brussel sprouts in the list of sides that came free with the sandwich. She began to argue that it doesn’t ring up that way in her computer, because it came with fries…. the fries were one of the ingredients IN the sandwich not on the side!!! She then proceeded to go get her manager. They did return the $4 to my card after all that. However, that was not the only issue. I ordered a drink to start, finished it but wanted to order another. Same waitress asked if I wanted another drink and I said yes, but she went and poured the same thing without asking me. I mentioned to her that I was wanting to order a different drink but would be willing to drink it. She didn’t even offer to make it right. Ordered a third drink and after about 10 mins of waiting, they brought it to me and said sorry they didn’t have some of the ingredients that went in it, but brought it with what they had!!! Didn’t offer a new drink or another type! Had to ask for my copy of mended receipt, and wasn’t even apologized to for all the mix ups, and problems. If it wasn’t for the service, I’d give a better rating.

Sum 2 Eat – Soul Food Resturant – Menu with Prices – 1815 W Erwin St, Tyler

You could drive by this place and never realize the deliciousness hiding inside. I think this building was a Dairy Queen about 30 years ago. It’s been several other businesses since. Right now it’s a place you don’t want to miss. Simple food, cooked right. There’s no menu, because selections change daily. You walk in and go up to the steam table. There’s a few entree choices, and several side item choices. Today they had fried chicken, fried catfish, and smothered pork chops for the main course. There was chili mac, mac n cheese, black eyed peas, and boiled cabbage for the side options. For less than $9 you get an entree with two sides and a roll or corn bread. I got the fried chicken, chili mac, and cabbage. It all tastes fresh and homemade because that what it is, fresh and homemade. I could have made a meal on the chili mac and cabbage! ? This is food like my mom cooked, food that I grew up eating. There’s no frills or bells and whistles here. That because it’s not needed. Simple food, simply done right. The staff is friendly and accommodating. Atmosphere is simple, relaxed, and fun. If your tired of the same old cookie cutter big name restaurants here in Tyler then give this place a try. I don’t think you’ll be disappointed.

I Love Teriyaki – Menu with Prices – 1850 Douglas Blvd #506, Roseville

The food was good, the service was fast. My rating is based on the integrity. I clearly see on the menu that the brown rice is extra (kinda weird since places such as Chipotle don’t charge). However, nowhere else is it mentioned that you will be charged when asking for “all vegetables” instead of rice and vegetables. My friend and I ordered the same thing (Teryaki) they asked for no veggies/sub a salad and brown rice ($7.99 + 1.25). Then there’s a charge for $3.29 because they ADD the salad as if you’re ordering a side salad. My order; Teriyaki with all Veggies, no rice. They charged me $2.25…. FOR NOT GETTING RICE?! The woman ringing me up quickly left when I asked for an itemized receipt (otherwise I was not going to get one). When I questioned her why I was charged an extra total of $5.54 for substituting a salad and skipping rice, she said because it’s extra to substitute. But that is not posted anywhere? When i continued to try and address my issue, she just walked away. So I advise you to watch how your order, make sure it’s clear what you’re asking and double check and request an itemized receipt.

Pho On California – Menu with Prices – 133 W California Blvd, Pasadena

I came here for dinner tonight around 7:30PM, and this place has only one customer. I ordered Pho #6, which is rare steak and cooked brisket pho for $10.95 before tax and tips. The condiment and the water came first. The condiment is on the mean side, with 2 pieces of chili, a small bunch of bean sprouts, a few basil leafs and a lemon lime wedge. The pho noodle soup came in about 3 mins later, and when I first taste the broth, it was way tangy, and I think they use excessive amount of tamarind. In addition, in total I was ablel to find 8 small pieces of thin slice beef (4 steak and 4 briskets) in it, which is a ripoff for the price they charge. They did provide me with enough rice noodle to fill my empty stomach, but the rice noodle could use a few more moments of cooking time as it is not soft enough. For the service side, it’s ok; but since the food is on the skimpy side, I won’t come back.

El Paso Chili Company – Menu with Prices – 539 East Blvd N, Montgomery

The worst service and food. My son and I waited to be served. Then watched as people were waited on and served. Then we got our food. My hamburger steak was under cooked after waiting 1 1/2 hours for it! The excuse was since it was well done (it was pink inside!) it took a long time. My son ordered a cup of chili. It was on the side and left off his order. I had to ask for it twice. He was charged for a bowl. We were informed they stopped making sweet tea. Then the people behind us were asked if they wanted some! I told them forget the hamburger steak, just give me a bowl of chili. $24.00 for waiting 2 1/2 hours for a messed up meal and bunch of excuses. Then told to come back. For what? His philly steak sandwich was skinny and mainly bread. No tea refills because they stopped making sweet tea but the customers behind us got offered sweet tea? We had to watch our waitress socialize and customers being waited on as if we were watching tv? My son was very upset. I was too. I had been a customer years ago when they had good food and customer service for ALL their customers.

The Original Barrio Fiesta of Manila – Menu with Prices – 818 N Pacific Ave & Arden Ave, Glendale

VERY VERY POOR CUSTOMER. Before I ordered the Kare kare, I asked how many ox tails was included the waiter, I think his name is Jay or jr. We’ll he told me that it came with 2 big ox tails and some tripes and beef briskets. He mentioned if I just want the ox tails instead of the other meats, it would be the same price of $24.00 for large. But when he was explaining it to me, that he’ll put more ox tails, he said it will be extra. So I think he wasn’t telling me the truth. So I ordered our food -crispy binagoongan , kare kare, pinakbet. And rice. When the food finally came, my wife and I were very very disappointed that kare kare didnt have the big ox tails. That he said it would. We didn’t want to complain right there, so I called and ask him why is there only 2 small ox tails. I asked him where is the big ox tails, he said he never said that and he said there’s 2 in pot. He had an attitude bcuz I questioned the food. He then said he will get more ox tails. When he came back he brought over 1 small ox tail in a very tiny, small pala yok. What a joke , I knew his was making fun of me bcuz I complained. He also was asking me if I was good when he brought the small ox tail. I didnt want to make a scene. We as paying customer either Filipino or other ethic background be treated with respect . I was respectful towards him . I paid my hard earned money to eat good Filipino yet I got very very bad customer service and the was not great at all. The reason we went to this location is bcuz the one in north hills was busy. I told my family and friends of my bad experience here. They just lost a good paying customer. This facility needs to learn people skills. I do not recommend this place even if they giving food for free. Oh almost forgot, I called the place to speak with the manager, Jay answered. I ask for manager he said no one available. I asked for managers name. He would not give name. He asked why I wanted to speak to manager I replied I wanted to complain about customer service. He again had an attitude on the phone. So I just hung up on him.. For Jay being in the customer’s eyes. By giving poor customer service gives us Filipinos a bad name.. I even left a 18% tip of bill $64.70. knowing if I didnt he would be talking bad about us shame on you Jay Treating customers poorly. Had to pick 1 star or I can’t post. Zero rating:(!!

La Culichi Fresa – Menu with Prices – 1517 N Baker Ave, Ontario

Honestly this is the worst restaurant experience i have ever experienced. The first thing i asked for was a margarita(which was on the menu). The server came back & said they didnt have alcohol. Then when i asked for pozole (which is on the menu) she said no once again. Then i asked if they had wings (which is on the menu), i was once told no. We were never given silverware until asked for. Then last but not least, i asked for the fettuccine Alfredo pasta. Waited an hour for it, then the server comes out & tells me they dont have Alfredo. Then when i go to pay for my food, waited 15 min for my check, my gaucamole wasnt in my togo bag that i asked for. Which i was charged for. Then had to wait an extra 10 min for them to make the guacamole for me. I will not be coming back.

Uncle Zhu Spicy Hotpot – Menu with Prices – 3875 Venture Dr, Duluth

Uncle Zhu is a food court stall located inside Jusgo Supermarket that serves authentic, spicy, and delicious Chongqing-style (Sichuan) Chinese hot pot. This is the first restaurant you see if you enter the food court from the entrance outside (not the interior entrance from the supermarket side). It’s got a corner stall in the mini-mall’s large rectangular wraparound hub. I really enjoyed the two hot pots I tried from this place. The restaurant offers over a dozen kinds of hot pot and noodle soups along with other dishes like “hot woks” (Sichuan-style stir-fries, kind of like a brothless hot pot), Sichuan cold noodles, spicy shrimp, dried shrimp cauliflower, and three different kinds of “fried cabbage” (bok choy and other leafy green veggies). Expect to spend about $9-10 each for most hot pots. You can also create your own hot pot. The kitchen’s ingredients are on display in multiple bins behind glass at the counter. Pricing for custom hot pots is $6.95 per bowl, $11.50 per pound. I tried the spicy boiled fish hot pot ($12.95) and the beef malatang hot pot ($8.99). Both were excellent. If you like spicy food, especially spicy Sichuan food, then you’ll like both of these dishes. The spicy boiled fish hot pot is a dish you can get at other Sichuan restaurants around metro Atlanta. I really like Uncle Zhu’s version. It comes with plenty of boneless, meaty fish fillets. I’m pretty sure the fish used is tilapia. The fish is served in a large bowl containing a customary deep red, spicy, oily broth with red chili peppers, Sichuan peppercorns, bean sprouts, cabbage, cilantro. and green onion. Thanks to the Sichuan peppercorns, this dish brings the “mala” which is Chinese for numbing and spicy. It’s a unique mouth-numbing, tingling sensation that only Sichuan peppercorns can bring and I love it. Out of all the Sichuan spicy boiled fish hot pots I’ve tried in metro Atlanta, I think I might like Uncle Zhu’s version the best. The ingredients were fresh and in the ideal proportions and everything about this dish seemed to hit all the right notes. If you like spicy food, you should give it a try. The beef malatang is a unique hot pot dish. Malatang is a popular street food in North China. “Malatang” literally translates as “numbing spicy hot.” At malatang shops, you pick and choose the ingredients you want to be boiled in a spicy broth which is then seasoned. Uncle Zhu offers the same experience. If you don’t want to pick your own ingredients, there are five kinds of malatang on the menu: the aforementioned beef malatang (which is what I got), seafood malatang, shrimp malatang, beef stomach malatang, and ball malatang (either meatballs or fish balls, I’m not sure). The beef malatang was terrific. It was chock-full of all sorts of yummy ingredients including slices of beef, sweet potato noodles, lotus root, Chinese jelly fungus (cloud ear, I believe), tofu skin (or bean curd skin), bok choy, cabbage, bean sprouts, cilantro, red chili peppers, and Sichuan peppercorns. There was another ingredient in the broth which I think was green seaweed (the long, relatively thicker kind), but I’m not certain. I think I covered most of the ingredients. This dish was quite flavorful and sufficiently spicy, though it didn’t have the same numbing effect as the spicy boiled fish which I would’ve liked. I’m sure I could have asked to have the malatang prepared with even more Sichuan peppercorns and they would have obliged. I question the quality of the beef in the beef malatang because it was a bit too tough and chewy. Perhaps it was overcooked. That’s my only real gripe about the food here and I wouldn’t hesitate to order the beef malatang again. Uncle Zhu’s hot pots are cooked in the back and are served in these nice-looking, large, yellow and red bowls that are decorated with Chinese text and Chinese masks. The restaurant ha

BIBIBOP Asian Grill – Menu with Prices – 1200 Brown St, Dayton

Finally–a growing fast-food chain with a concept that isn’t focused on sandwiches! The idea is that the Korean staple dish, bibimbap, can be rendered in a fast-food style. Don’t know why they chose to spell the restaurant name differently, but they pull it off quite well.First-time visitors might be a bit disoriented–there is no menu. You walk to the counter and direct the custom assembly of your bowl. Start with traditional sweet potato noodles, or opt for a bed or rice, a salad, or a wrap. Then get one of their protein options–steak, chicken,. spicy chicken, or tofu. Top with some traditional Korean veggies–bean sprouts, shredded carrot, purple cabbage, kimchee, shredded daikon–or go for some American variants like corn or sesame kale or potatoes. Finish it with one of several sauces. The whole transaction is faster than most fast-food restaurants, and the results are satisfying.I had the noodles, steak, bean sprouts, carrot, cabbage, and yum yum sauce. The quality was excellent, and the spice level was mellow–note that you can go full mouth-burn Korean if that’s your pleasure. The only thing I wanted was that most traditional bibimbap that I have eaten comes topped with an egg over easy, but clearly that would slow them down. You also have the option of miso soup or kimchee as a side–I plan to try them one day.The only disappointment was the beverage selection: standard American soft drinks, iced tea or bubble tea, lemonade. That’s it. I wonder if they’d mind if I carried in my own mug of hot green tea?I’ll be back!
