We had Jason’s Catered Events cater our wedding at the Clarke Estate in Santa Fe Springs this past Saturday June 6th 2016 and we could not have been more happy with how everything turned out. Not only did my wife and I greatly enjoy the food and service, we keep hearing from all of our guests how great each member of the staff treated them. STAFF- 5/5: From the initial inquiry, we worked with Ali C. helping us with the food and service options, wedding tasting, and day of wedding coordination. SHE IS AMAZING! We never imagined we would find someone so caring, effective, and consistent in helping us pull off the wedding. Every time we needed something, she would respond quickly and provide us with the answer and any options available. She took wonderful, detailed notes and was on top of everything. And most importantly, she was extremely caring and the most professional person we have ever worked with. The moment after our ceremony ended, she walks in with water and appetizers for our immediate wedding party and personally came up to us and congratulated us. It was a moment we will never forget. Our guests raved about the bartenders Hector and Ben who were true masters of their craft. Hector was smiling and laughing with our family and friends every moment we looked at the bar. The closing captain Ceci and servers Tony, Cati, Austin, and Theresa were all great and very responsive to every need that came up. It was a warmer day than we had hoped so we wanted to insure cold water was available at all times and it always was along with the food, champagne for toasts, and cake all being served exactly to our schedule! They did not miss a beat and it made the wedding go smoothly. By the end of the wedding we were receiving so many positive comments about the entire staff that we asked Ali to meet the staff still at the venue and that’s how we learned their names. We weren’t able to meet all the kitchen staff, just Francisco, but if the food is any indication of their personalities they must be awesome. FOOD- 5/5: We had our wedding tasting 4-5 months before the wedding and thought the food was great! Besides the overall taste and texture of the food, it was wonderful how we were able to customize our selections based on our specific budget. To try and work within our budget, we selected a (1) chicken entree dinner buffet. I will admit that what we tasted may not be as good the actual day of our wedding as it was being prepared for roughly 200 guests instead of just us, but I was wrong. It was delicious and we are still hearing about how great it was. We highly recommend the Chicken Mediterranean! We also had roasted garlic mashed potatoes, penne pasta al fresca, and the California Salad. My mother is the pickiest eater on the planet (trust me) and even she liked it so that’s how I know it was good. OVERALL IMPRESSION- 5/5: We highly recommend Jason’s Catered Events for your next event or wedding. Working with Ali C. and her staff was nothing short of amazing. Not only was the food and service great, she worked within our budget and schedules to help as throw a wonderful wedding. Most importantly though, she made my friends and family feel like family with the kindness and smiles her staff brought to our wedding. We can’t thank them enough!

Seasons & Occasions – Menu with Prices – 108 N Jefferson St, Roanoke

I could say a million great things about Seasons and Occasions!! They were the best choice for our wedding. The food was delicious, they were so professional, and so helpful! Ryan and Angie worked with us on our budget and gave us a wonderful price right from the start. Our guests are still talking about the food and how wonderful the staff was all night long! I would recommend Seasons and Occasions to everyone!!

Upstairs Downstairs Catering – Menu with Prices – 1617 N Stoughton Rd, Madison

This was from 2013 – I never finished the review, I’ll do that now! The Good: – Megan was very helpful. She did a superb job of listening to what we wanted for our wedding and helping us to plan it out well. – The tasting was amazing, we left very excited about our wedding dinner. – Megan planned ahead well to have extra vegetarian dishes – leave it to family to not RSVP their menu option!! The Bad: – Megan was double-booked for our wedding day so she was not present to supervise our event. We never got to meet with the alternate supervisor, so we were a little antsy about how the day would go since we had worked with Megan on everything and developed a good rapport with her. The Ugly: – We showed up after our pictures to find that the reception layout was 180 degrees backwards. I can blame at least part of this on my brother who was present at the time and also didn’t notice the positioning of the LAKE in our diagram. You’d think that a LAKE would be an easy landmark to orient yourself to! But it all worked out. Thanks to some good people in our wedding party, they dealt with the situation and worked with the staff to get everything rearranged while we were greeting everybody. It was a beautiful day and a beautiful meal.

Walter Burke Catering – Menu with Prices – 1209 Calle de Comercio, Santa Fe

We used WBC for our wedding in Santa Fe this past weekend and they were nothing short of incredible. Actually, the entire planning process has been seamless. We worked with Angela Reece, and she is incredible responsive with emails, and she was great and patient with me through all of my changes! In fact, she helped immensely when I started to panic with prices, and she helped me out so much aweigh explaining and helping to craft a day that would fit our budget and still be amazing. And then on the wedding day, Walter Burke was simply amazing. At the end of the night I tried to shake every servers hand I could find to thank them for how wonderful it was and how much I appreciated their positive energy, attitude, and attentiveness! Susan, one of the captains, was incredible and made sure everything was perfect!! They also worked well with my family when setting up decor. All in all, everything turned out way better than I could have ever expected, the food was AMAZING, and it was all because of WBC. I recommend them to anyone in the area, a couple of my friends were asking if they did events in Texas!! That’s when you know it’s good. This company is amazing and make every experience personal and intimate. I can’t thank them all enough!!!

Iacofano’s Catering & Food Service – Menu with Prices – 1749 Sam Rittenberg Blvd, Charleston

Iacofano’s ruined our wedding. We should have known when the owner forgot about our tasting that we should have taken our business elsewhere. But we gave them the benefit of the doubt because the food was good and they worked with us and our budget. However, come wedding day everything they did was terrible. They did not open the stations at different times as we requested therefore allowing everyone to eat main courses before cocktail hour fruit/veggie/cheese stations. Who is going to go for a veggie when they can have shrimp and grits instead? No one! Therefore, we ran out of main course food at our wedding!!! As the bride, I didn’t even taste any of my main course food. They also wore t-shirts and shorts as their “uniform” at my black tie wedding. They broke down the stations very loudly and got in the way of guests as they were doing it. They yelled at my mother when she asked if they could possibly bring more food to the reception (their restaurant was only 5 minutes away) whatever the cost. And they refused saying it was impossible. I would NOT recommend them to anyone! If you hope to have a good experience on your wedding day, take your business elsewhere!

June’s Cakery – Menu with Prices – 2545 E Division St, Springfield

Ella is wonderful to work with! She was so sweet and patient with us while we were deciding on the cake for my daughters wedding. The cake was wonderful and exactly what the bride and groom wanted. The strawberry filling was a wonderful surprise for the wedding guests that expected the same ol’ traditional wedding cake. Ella was very accomodating with the pick up time as well. We couldn’t have asked for a better price, experience or better tasting cake…Ella did a wonderful job!

The Loft Events – Menu with Prices – 1028 N Fulton St, Fresno

Beautiful venue and I love that everything is already decorated. My husband and I live in SoCal and our family is from Fresno so this worked out perfectly for us… so we thought. However, whenever my husband and I would go in to meet with them and ask questions about certain things concerning how the wedding would look like on the day of, we always got unconfirmed answers and they always told us they’d confirm with the manager and let us know next time. Every time! We met with them 4 times and each time we were left uncertain. We travel 6 hours each time to meet them and we’re left with questions? That’s a no-no right there. A month before my wedding I was suppose to have everything FINALIZED! I was suppose to have a “Final Meeting” (as stated in their contract) to finalize the details but that never happened. The lady who I was suppose to meet with (Stacey) couldn’t make it so I had to meet with a different worker there. I was still left with question marks everywhere and I wasn’t able to pay off the venue because of it. 2 weeks before my wedding I email them again about my concerns and paying off the rest of the venue and they inform me that the lady who’d been “working” on my wedding (Stacey) was let go. But no one let me know if this?! It’s 2 weeks before my wedding and “I” had to contact you in order for you to tell me this?! I was furious! I was finally able to finalize the details of my wedding within the week but everything was chaotic! I had a certain vision for my wedding but because I was never told the full details of their policy I had to change everything around. At one point the manager got very frustrated with me, which I can understand since I kept changing things around, but in my defense they never updated me about my wedding, I had to change the whole schedule of my wedding 2 weeks prior to it, and I felt that in my case they should’ve been more flexible given the fact that they were in the wrong. During my set up time I had to ask them over and over again about details of my venue since it did not look like what we had agreed on. My tables were mixed up, there was no room for the caterer, and I did not get “a sign outside the building with the bride and grooms names showing guests where to enter.” Even on the day of our wedding I was told by the manager that the bar would be open at 2pm (the time the guests arrive). My husband and I arrived at 3pm and my maid of honor came to tell us the bar was not open until 4pm?! That was not what we agreed on. After talking to the people at the bar they finally opened the bar to our guests. Very unprofessional. I do not recommend this place. Spend your money elsewhere. It’s not worth the frustration.

Italian Creations – Menu with Prices – 16104 Hilliard Rd, Cleveland

My wife and I decided to have Italian Creations Cater our wedding this month and were incredibly happy with our choice to do so! So going back several months, we called around several different catering companies to see what our options were. We had good vibes from talking with the owner of Italian Creations, Ross, who was easy-going on the phone and friendly. Ross worked with us to tailor a bit of what we wanted, and we went in for a tasting. We tried a few different things, and decided on the following: chicken, salmon, lemon-butter topping for the meats, green beans, quinoa-rice, penne pasta, and bread. I should note that while I can’t recall having bad wedding food before, I’ve never really had wedding food that stands out to me. It’s always just kind of been there. But trying Ross’s ‘Italian Creations’, we knew immediately this food would be different and that this was the food we wanted at our wedding. We didn’t ‘settle’ on anything, we knew we found a gem. So fast forward to the day of the wedding… The server (I feel bad but forgot her name!) showed up when Ross said she would, and worked quietly and efficiently to set things up in the food room. We had a very small venue, so were worried we might hear food-set up while the ceremony was taking place. None of that, she was super quiet! Another thing we really appreciated, our server helped with many other areas that weren’t even her responsibility and which we were planning on doing ourselves; operating our popcorn machine, arranging and ‘guarding’ the dessert table, cleaning up dishes, etc. This took a lot of stress off of us and was incredibly helpful. Also our server was very personable and friendly, working with and talking with several of our guests and helpers throughout the day. Now to the food itself. One worry that we were warned about from others was that the food during a tasting is always good, but that the food at the wedding itself might not live up to the standard of the tasting. With the food Italian Creations served this was as far from the truth as possible. My lord, this was honestly some of the best Italian food I’ve ever had. While I won’t write a review on every food item that we received, I will say this; Several people stated separately that the chicken, the salmon and the pasta were the best they have ever had before. Not just at a wedding, but in their lives. For myself, this was the best salmon and pasta I’ve ever had, and plan to order these from Italian Creations in the future. Many people asked for the name of the place we got our food ? And finally clean up was quick, efficient and didn’t get in the way of any of the party. We had a caricature artist positioned just a few feet away from the food table, and our server worked very well to make sure nothing was in the way and did not disrupt any of the art. My hats off to Ross, his chefs, and our wonderful server. Our wonderful day was made all the more wonderful by them, and we sincerely appreciate the wonderful service.

Tasteful Connections Inc – Menu with Prices – 1 Whipple Ln # 1, Rochester

We used Tasteful Connections for our wedding in June 2014, and I cannot say enough good things about them. First, the food was AMAZING, from the hors d’oerves to the main dishes. They were able to create a menu unique to our “backyard garden party” style wedding reception: a menu that catered to vegetarians, Kosher guests, and everyone in between. Everyone raved about the food for months after our wedding. The best part of Tasteful Connections, though, was the staff: they were extremely helpful and flexible. When my husband decided two days before our wedding that he wanted craft beer at our reception, Michelle worked with him and my brother to find a selection within our price point. My husband and I planned our wedding by ourselves (without a wedding planner) from over four hours away, and we couldn’t have done it without Michelle and her team. They worked with our tent rental company to make sure we not only had enough tables and linens, but that everything was set up in the best possible way. They came out to our wedding site (in the Finger Lakes) to meet with the site owners, my husband, and me, and they made sure everything would be perfect. Everyone was so professional, and they ONLY made me feel relaxed about my reception–never stressed or worried that it wouldn’t be perfect. Do not look anywhere else for your caterer: Tasteful Connections is simply the best.

L.A. Banquets – Glenoaks Ballroom – Menu with Prices – 1320 W Glenoaks Blvd, Glendale

So so so so so amazing!! I couldn’t have asked for a better night! It really blew us away to know that was our wedding. Your staff are amazing and everything surpassed perfect! Our guest felt appreciated and and were highly taken care of. Haik listened to all my wants and need and never hesitated on reassuring everything was going to be great. Lol He pretty much said yes to everything and even through in extra accommodating things to help our wedding become a memorable moment! Everything we asked of him, he got it done, no problem at all! The food was AMAZING ! to be honest , I had low expectations on wedding food in general , but Haik reassured me the food tasting would give us assurance. When we made it to our food tasting so much dood to choose from, not only that, it blew us away with how tasteful everything was! We didn’t expect it to be that good at all, by the time we went back to our hotel, we realized we still wanted to go back there and we at for dinner lol. All in all, the food was definitely one of the biggest hits for ourselves as well as our guest. Haik is nonetheless one of the best vendors I’ve worked with. Very accommodating, great professional attitude ; and very very kind. He’s a pro at what he does. And he and his staff work very well together! I applaud the hard work I’ve seen leading up to the wedding, and the day of was even better than my wildest dreams! I’m impressed and if I could do it all over again, this place literally stole my heart ! Thank you so much Haik!! You definitely exceeded our expectations !!!

The Ebell Club Long Beach – Menu with Prices – 290 Cerritos Ave, Long Beach

Wow, where to start? We had the pleasure of working with Sharen for over a year and a half from the time we toured the venue up to our wedding day and she’s the best. She was available to answer all our questions whenever we needed her. She helped us navigate the process of customizing our menus and desserts, and gave us ideas for making the venue a reflection of us as a couple. My husband was able to drop in to the venue as needed to check the sound system (since we did our own music), plan our processional, etc. thanks to Sharen being so accommodating. Since we worked with her for so long from booking to wedding day, she really felt like she became a friend to us. As for the venue, it’s just as beautiful as the pictures make it seem. The process of wedding planning is stressful enough, so having a venue that’s already meticulously decorated is a blessing. We really didn’t have to bring in too many outside decorations and you can tell how much thought and effort the owner puts into the decor. And don’t even get me started on the food. There’s always that fear that when you do a tasting, the food won’t be as good the day of due to the volume that has to be put out. Not true for Tres LA. Our guests RAVED about the appetizers and dinner. We were even able to special order a couple vegan meals for the guests who required it, and they both remarked that they’d never been able to eat so much at a wedding before and loved their dish. The fact that we were able to add our own appetizer, Cuban sandwiches, as a nod to my husband’s family, was really special. The serving staff was great. We were attended to all night with our own dedicated server making sure we always had a drink and food. The rest of the staff was just as good, efficient, and professional. I can’t stress enough what an amazing wedding day we had thanks to everyone at the Ebell.

Mr D’s Donut Shop – Menu with Prices – 11222 W 75th St, Shawnee

We used Mr. D’s donuts for our wedding and we couldn’t be happier with how things turned out! First, the owners (Johnny and Bonnie) were so helpful and sweet! They helped us make decisions regarding what we wanted served and were so accommodating when we asked to meet for a tasting. They also sent us the sweetest note for our wedding and followed up to make sure everything went smoothly. They are such amazing people! The donuts were INCREDIBLE and all of our guests loved them. We had such a difficult time choosing what to serve because we loved every single flavor of donut. We ordered more than enough and they were all gone very, very quickly because our guests enjoyed them SO much. We will definitely be back and would recommend this donut shop to anyone!

Country Garden Caterers and CGC Facility – Menu with Prices – 719 N Main St, Santa Ana

Where do I start? We used Country Garden Caterers for our wedding last month and we had such a great time. We had our wedding at their facility in Santa Ana on Main St and they also catered our wedding. We had the Italian menu and we got so many compliments on the food. This location worked perfectly for our reception and we didn’t need to add much because the building has so much personality and with all the lighting inside, you don’t need anything really. My husband and I worked with Lori Pilatos and she’s awesome! She explained everything to us including costs, services and even included cake cutting services at a discount. She worked with our busy schedules and her helpful service and friendly service made our experience enjoyable. Plus to our surprise although we didn’t hire her as the wedding day coordinator, she showed up anyway on our wedding day in order to make sure everything ran smoothly. I highly recommend this place, beautiful location, amazing food, friendly service at a very reasonable price. Some would say parking might be an issue but we didn’t have any complaints from our guests.
