I heard about this place from social media and just had to try it. We walk in and there’s a good atmosphere and ambiance. It has a rustic earthy feel to it. The menu isn’t overwhelming at all, only maybe 20 or so things to choose from so I quickly zoomed in on the Yellow Coconut Milk Chicken Curry. My girlfriend ordered the Meatball Veggie Soup. I may get the names wrong so forgive me. We ordered the appetizer of Deep Fried Mushrooms with a delicious dipping sauce that appeared to be like a vegan mayo/ranch. The food came out in less than 15 minutes. It was beautifully put together. Came with a loaf of Banh Mi bread. The food was hot of course, but everything was well cooked and not burnt or undercooked. I especially loved the Vegan Chicken, potatoes, and carrots with the bread dipped in the yellow curry. I didn’t care for the string beans inside the curry too much. I took half of them out. My girlfriend said hers tasted like the non-vegan equivalent that her mom makes at home, with what I remember was a tomato-flavored meatball soup with veggies and potatoes. I liked mine more and want to come back to try the other dishes ! The other patrons were respectful and friendly and so was the staff. The server girl was very cute and had a sweet smile as she helped us to our seats and brought us water. I recognized a friend of mine, a woman who works at , or probably manages the Loving Hut in Orange. I think her name was “Ji” or “Gi” or something like that. I’ve seen her at Loving Hut for more than 7 years ! Everyone was very kind and the food was delicious. Some of the healthiest vegan food that I’ve ever had that didn’t sacrifice taste. I will be returning regularly to try the other options ! Price is extremely fair for the quality and quantity of food presented !

Wara Thai Eatery – Menu with Prices – 509 Main St, Vancouver

I was SO excited for a cute unpretentious Thai place in the neighborhood but this sadly missed the mark. Their posted dinner hours are 5pm to 9pm; when we showed up at 8 we were the only people there and were promptly told we had to order by 8:15. Maybe not the friendliest way to welcome new customers to your new business but sure, no problem. We decided on the stir fried vermicelli (pad mee see ew) with shrimp and a yellow curry with chicken. The dishes came out quickly and the noodles were decent; the curry was downright bad. Tough pieces of over cooked chicken and a few undercooked (like, almost raw) potatoes and carrots drowning in a huge bowl of watery bland yellow liquid. We ordered it with sticky rice which tasted a day old. After a few bites the server came over not to ask how it was but to tell us ‘the kitchen is now closed so you can’t order anything else.’ Ok then. The google reviews suggest lunch is a better experience but I’m not in a hurry to give this place another go. We are spoiled for food options in Chinatown; I’d rather wait in line at Phnom Penh or pay a few bucks more at Rhinofish or Fat Mao.

Soi 55 Thai Eatery – Menu with Prices – 6550 N MacArthur Blvd Suit#150, Irving

Got here around 12:40 PM in the afternoon and the place was literally deserted. No one to welcome you in at the front door, no one serving, not a peep. With all the cars outside, I thought the inside would be packed full of people. (Imagine asking to be served versus getting served, what a nice way to start) Ordered the yellow curry ($11.99) and fried tofu ($5.99). The fried tofu was definitely what you expect when you order fried tofu. Original, nothing wrong with it 5/5. The yellow curry was different tho, I was expecting a serving of rice, curry, potatoes, and carrots all on a large plate. But what came out was a mini bowl of curry with chicken, flimsy flatten carrots, and very bland potatoes. I was hoping for more flavorful carrots and potatoes but I guess that’s just how they make them 2/5. The curry was delicious tho, really good flavor and the right amount of spice to them 5/5. Now.. let me just say first off. The service wasn’t anything spectacular, like “wow, best service ever!”. It was just regular service, nothing special. In fact, a table that came in a few minutes after us somehow got their food first so I was a bit ticked off. So onto the main point, “tip”. Now let me tell you straight, people tip because of many reasons but I doubt anyone “tip” servers on the statement “it’s a rule, it’s something we do here in our culture”. The most BS I’ve heard of ever from a server who specifically chased us down just to give us a lecture on why we should’ve tipped her. You did your job as a server, you didn’t do anything spectacular, I see no reason why we had to be lectured for not giving you any tip. Sure there are people who tip because they think it’s a courtesy but not everyone thinks like that. Hats off to you miss server for bringing the whole place rating down with you. If you’re desperate for tips, maybe you’re in the wrong line of work.

Zangna Thai Cuisine – Menu with Prices – 2604 S Shackleford Rd, Little Rock

My wife and I were looking for an alternative to the standard Steakhouse or Italian joint for dinner. We’ve been to several of the other restaurants on Shackleford but always noticed Zangna after the fact and said, ‘Some day we should give that a try’ Well, we gave it a try and are so glad we did! The place is fairly small and wide open. The decor is very modern with clean lines and looks spic and span to me. Staff was right there, very friendly and attentive. I ordered the yellow curry – fantastic!. The chicken was perfectly done, moist and super tender. The vegetables just right, not cold and raw (as I have gotten at other Thai places) but hot and al dente, not mushy either. The curry ‘soup’ was the classic coconut milk sweetness with a perfect hit of spice you expect from good Thai curry. Really, everything about it was just right. My wife is not normally a Thai fan either but she wanted something ‘lite and healthy’. She went with a Broccoli, Mushroom, Chicken dish in brown sauce (the name escapes me). Her experience was as good as mine. Tahi may be our new craving. I see some of the negative reviews below. Our experience was nothing like any of those. We will be back.

Vicini’s Italian Restaurant And Pizzeria – Menu with Prices – 5001 N Kings Hwy #105, Myrtle Beach

My husband and I are on a mini vacation in Myrtle Beach and were looking for a good pizza when we found Vicini’s and decided we had to give it a try. We saw other couples enjoying gigantic pizzas but opted for non-pizza dishes. The chef makes their bread in house. The bread is perfect. They bring it to the table with olive oil and spices, but order the calamari and dip the bread in the extra marinara sauce. It’s lovely. The calamari melts away in your mouth. Not over fried, chewy, or fishy.. just perfect. The lentil soup was like nothing I have ever tasted before. I would drive back to South Carolina just for the cup of soup. Very rich in flavor. Hearty and thick. I could’ve licked the bowl. My main course was the baked ziti with a side of meatball. The ziti was crispy on top but melted and stringy underneath. The sauce was delicious. The one meatball was $5 extra. It was baked into the ziti, under a layer of cheese. After I tasted the meatball, I still felt that the cost was excessive but it was a damn good meatball. It appears to be two meatballs in the picture but I assure you that it was one meatball cut into two pieces. My husband had the chicken parm, which came with 3 huge pieces of chicken. We both had to have more than half of our entrees boxed up to go. The cost of the meal was acceptable for the amount and quality of the food. My husband enjoyed a cannoli for dessert. I had the tiramisu, which our waitress advised is made in house. Tiramisu is my favorite cake and they nailed it. Many thanks to the chef and staff! We’ll be back some day.

Kappo Miyako – Menu with Prices – 92 Corporate Park H, Irvine

Walking in this place is very small but cute. They have Monday deals where you can get 3 rolls for $20! Which is great ? Ordered the curry katsu which came out very hot and the katsu crispy. I don’t think the chicken/pork was thick enough to remember the texture or juiciness. It’s smaller than CoCo Ichibanya but still a great portion for around $9-10. Came with a yummy side salad and miso soup (which waiter didnt bring out and said “people don’t usually want it” when we noticed at the end of our meal that we didn’t get it). Miso was yummy and came out burning hot which is nice but out of my excitement I burned by tongue. Tofu is maybe instant? But it is cut in 1cm x 1cm which is really small, but thats ok. We ordered one tempura roll. The batter is very thick, similar to if you were to order fried ice cream (somewhere). It was just like eating crispy batter. It wasn’t bad but okay. Our spicy salmon roll was yummy, tasted like a california roll but with salmon. We got a yellow tail roll with jalapeño slices on top. I didn’t really enjoy it, I get skeptical about yellowtail at smaller, affordable shops because of the quality. But thats my opinion. But this place is forsure better than Kura Revolving Sushi.

M & M Bakery – Menu with Prices – 4834 Boca Chica Blvd, Brownsville

Best bread , best food I don’t know what you talking about Rosie girl and the lady in red hair is one of the most loving lady you can ever had the pleasure to meet , you must have the wrong bakery girl …

Thai Wasabi – Menu with Prices – 5250 E. State Rd. 64, Bradenton

First time for me, and I ordered to go. I got the massan man curry with tofu and my friend got the Penang curry with chicken. When we ordered we forgot to ask for medium spice level so I asked for some chili oil Togo. It was spiiiiiiccccyyyyyy and sooo good. I was assuming that it was a generic chili oil but the level of spicy was and color looks like it is made in house. When I came in for pick up the restaurant was packed and smell delicious. The curries were great. The massan man had potatoes, sweet potatoes, peanuts, and onions. The Penang has veggies and chicken. Both came with a side of rice. Each entree could easy be divided into 2/3 servings. I will definitely like to come back and try more foods!

El Quinto Sol – Menu with Prices – 6201, 2330 Jacaman Rd, Laredo

I ordered their new Chony soup, but after the first bite I noticed that the broth tasted similar to Knorr seasoning. Knorr contains animal fat. I asked the waitress what it was that they used to season the soup because it tasted just like knorr and wanted to make sure it was not knorr. I told her that I didnt care about the recipe, I simply wanted to make sure I was eating a vegan soup. She went to the back and asked, she came back and told me they would not confirm nor deny that it was knorr. As customers, we have a right to know ingredients in our food due people have allergies and/or restrictions. I cannot trust El Quinto Sol anymore and it sucks because they are the only restraurant in Laredo that serves “vegan” food, well at least I thought they did. Im hoping for more vegan friendly restaurant options in Laredo in the near future.

Yimm Oakland – Menu with Prices – 6048 College Ave, Oakland

Solid Thai cuisine right in the heart of Rockridge! I’ve gotta be completely honest though; when I first heard that a new Thai place was coming to this area, I wasn’t all that thrilled. I just thought, “Another Thai place?” There are SO many Thai places in the area and many of them are located right on the same street. But after trying Yimm, I can honestly say that this spot is really tasty. I stopped by for lunch and had a really enjoyable experience. I absolutely love the décor! The interior is a mix of rustic and modern with a very open floor plan. The booths all have cute little pillows to sit back on. The bar, although small, is extremely charming. You can tell that they put a lot of thought into the design. Service was impeccable from beginning to end. My water was refilled promptly and never once did I feel rushed. My food arrived in a timely manner and they even boxed the leftovers up for me. Everyone was smiling was seemed really excited to be there. Apparently this is the sister restaurant of Imm Thai Street Food in Berkeley. I haven’t yet tried Imm Thai, but I’ve always heard good things about them. Yimm’s specialty is their “home cooking” style. They have array of “home cooked” items on their menu that are prepared a bit differently from your standard Thai cuisine. These particular menu items cost a bit more, but it makes sense because of the “home cooked” quality. I haven’t tried any of their home cooked items, but I will definitely be making another trip here to do so. I had their yellow chicken curry rice plate which was surprisingly really good. I’m used to Thai yellow curry being more on the mild side when it comes to the spice level. While this wasn’t super spicy, it had a great spicy kick that I thoroughly enjoyed. I’m not used to this with yellow curries, but I really enjoyed it. The curry was nice and thick and the potatoes and veggies were cooked perfectly, almost to the point of them melting in my mouth. The Thai spices were so pronounced and extremely fragrant. This curry was the bomb.com! While I enjoyed the yellow curry, it wasn’t anything that knocked my socks off. It was good but not the best that I’ve ever had. However, it still poses as a solid option for Thai food in the Rockridge area. I’m planning on coming back to try some of their home cooked entrees soon.

Thai Kitchen Menu with Prices 3421 E Tudor Rd #A, Anchorage

I’m pretty bummed I have to write this but I wanted to share my lackluster experience here at TK. Let me start off by saying I used to love it here. My mom would take me here after she got off work at providence and it was a nice comfort food spot when I was younger. Today I stopped in for the lunch special. $11- seemed fair. I asked for the pad Thai- but was told it already had peanuts in it. A lot of places either put it on the side or don’t add it in till later. This should be a thing for a lot of people as people with allergies want to enjoy food too. I opened the box I was given and saw everything had barely been filled. What’s worse was the food was bland. I had the broccoli beef, yellow curry, and Thai basil chicken. The broccoli beef was not seasoned at all. The yellow curry was watery and not very curry like. And the Thai basil chicken literally was just chunks of old wet basil with poor cuts of chicken. What happened guys? I’ll come back once things are fixed. But for now, you’ve lost my business.

Thai Love NY – Menu with Prices – 2822 Lemoyne Ave, Syracuse

My idea of good Thai food in Syracuse was Lemongrass in Armory Square, but when I heard about Thai Love NY for vegan options, I had to give it a shot. The reviews are great and well deserved at a fraction of the cost of Lemongrass. Great service and great prices, too.We ordered 3 apps: Tofu Satay, Tofu Tod (deep fried tofu), and Tom Kha soup. All were delicious and made vegan. We ordered 4 entrees: Pad Thai, Pad See Eiw, Pad Khee Mao, and Gang Dang Curry. All were delicious and were made vegan. They have 5 levels of spice, with 5 being Atomic. Three of our entrees were at a level 4 (which was the right choice for us), and the fourth one was at a level 5. I highly suggest not going higher than 4, but if you like it hot, they’ll provide hot chili oil for self-adjustment.

Up Inspired Kitchen – Menu with Prices – 5285 Dallas Pkwy #400, Frisco

I researched a restaurant that offered vegan, vegetarian and ‘regular’ food to satisfy everyones needs in our family. My daughter is vegan and wanted some great avocado toast on her birthday, 7/19. This was what I decided on to kick off her sweet 16 for a surprise brunch. We.Love. Up Inspired!!! From the moment we drove up and saw the cute patio with the super cute playhouse and bright yellow chairs. Entering the restaurant, I’m pretty sure I gasped. With the crisp white, light gray and happy yellow chairs and accents….it was a breath of fresh air! The concept of the restaurant is wonderful. Responsibly sourced ingredients and good pure food. We purchased avocado toast, kids french toast sticks, grilled cheese and short ribs sandwich, and a chicken salad wrap. We also ordered a hot vanilla latte and an iced vanilla latte. Everything was excellent. The soda served is stubborn soda from the dispenser and the root beer was sooo good. With all natural ingredients, it comes out a bit foamier and it’s great. There is a cabinet with games and toys for kids to borrow and play with which was a nice touch. The girl that took our order was a doll and so sweet. This is a new favorite place and we can’t wait to return to try something else on the menu! I mentioned we were there for my daughter’s sweet 16 and she was promptly wishes a happy birthday. When her avocado toast came out, it had two birthday candles in it! Such a sweet gesture and really great customer service! I would give this place 10 stars!!
