I found this gem of a Mexican Bread bakery. It has plenty to choose from and I was lucky to get some wheat sweet breads too. I am new to these sweets so Belinda was nice enough to make recommendations and there were a few customers buying a little of this and a little more of that so I took it that they are all yummy. They have plain bread, sweet filled with cream/cheese and fruits. They are baked fresh so the shop was warm and smelled delicious.

Emillio’s Bakery – Menu with Prices – 3905 State St, Salem

I found this place thanks to a coworker who told me about it while I was visiting Salem. They said the Mexican bread is fresh and they have these amazing breakfast sandwich things. I went, and the outside doesn’t look like much, and honestly you wonder what you might find inside. Looks don’t always means anything because it was filled with delicious pastries insides! I went at 8am and everything was super fresh. Pastries were warm, you could smell fresh breads being baked, and you could just tell they’d been up for hours getting things ready. I ordered a few pastries, which you just grab a tray, some tongs, and go to the display and grab them yourself. Kind of like when you go to the grocery store and grab your own donuts. Then i asked the man for some breakfast sandwich things and omg they were fresh out of the oven! They are these delicious breads filled with cheese and ham or you could get cheese and jalepeno. The filling is literally baked inside the fresh baked bread. There are no holes or cuts where they just filled prebaked bread with cheese. Honestly, since I’ve had them I can’t stop thinking about them. My picture attached doesn’t do it justice at all. The most amazing breakfast items I’ve had. Plus, i paid about $12 for 5 pastries and 5 sandwiches which was a great deal.

Los Mexicanos Bakery No.2 – Menu with Prices – 1522 Fruitvale Ave, Oakland

Los Mexicanos Bakery is very small. little bigger than a bread box. baked goods are in 3 shaky wooden cabinets on the right. fruit/cream filled, plains all unpriced. just pick up a tray and pick out what you desire. cashier will ring u out. eats: cream (.75) plain rounds (.50) -semisweet, bread coarse , not fluffly -got in evening so pastry may have harden -3.5 stars for being cheap! crumbs: -not much parking, only in front. -cash only? -cakes also available.

Addeo Bakery – Menu with Prices – 2352 Arthur Ave, The Bronx

Small bakery in the Bronx. We read reviews for the bakeries in the area and it seemed like this might be the best one to pick up some bread for dinner. My inlaws love fresh bread and cheese and I knew they would appreciate good fresh baked bread. When you look in the window you see a bunch of different loaves of bread. It makes it hard to choose. We went with three. They are all so delicious. Like seriously some of the best bread I have ever eaten. I wasn’t alone, my wife’s whole family loved this bread and raved about it. I have only eaten them with butter but I intend on making garlic bread with one loaf and grilled cheeses and French toast tomorrow with the leftover bread. The lady working inside was super nice. I asked her for a recommendation and she showed me what most people buy there. It was one of the three that I was selecting. This place is a must if you are in the area and are looking for killer Italian bread. All three loaves cost $10 which was totally worth it. The loaves of bread are really big. This bakery also smells amazing. There is metered parking all around so your best bet is to drive up to the bakery and just look for parking.

Panaderia Margo – Menu with Prices – 443 Stocking Ave NW, Grand Rapids

Fresh baked Mexican style pastries every day. Small store, but you’re coming for the bakery, not to shop! Use trays and tongs to pick your pastries, bring to clerk to have bagged and to pay. Most items are less than $1.00 and so yummy when fresh and warm!

Yvette?s Bakery – Menu with Prices – 6729 Indiana Ave, Riverside

I stopped by this afternoon because my fiancee was craving sweet bread. It’s a quaint little spot, but parking is RIDICULOUS. The prices are on point and the bread here at the bakery is very fresh. The price is also very reasonable. I got 7 different pieces of sweet bread, chocoflan, and 4 bolillos for $10.74. I didn’t expect any customer service but the people here were very friendly. They have many different little treats like churros, different types of flan, champurrado. It’s a very cute, nice bakery with fresh baked goods. I will definitely be back. It’s way better than the bakery section from Cardenas or El Super.

Nicosia’s Bakery – Menu with Prices – 781 Burke Ave, The Bronx

this bread bakery brings back plenty of good memories for me . it’s been on burke ave the bronx since the early 1925 and folks keep coming for the fresh italian bread that is second to none. when i was a young lad i would be on burke ave hanging with friends and visiting my granny and aunt who lived right across the street from the bakery and that smell of fresh hot bread hitting the air was powerful . they bake the bread really early in the morning and then deliver the assorted breads and rolls to supermarkets , deli’s , bodegas , etc . the shop itself inside and outside is plain and simple but it’s all about the breads . they also carry cookies and other types of pastries but for me it’s a few loafs of seeded bread and it’s a wrap . i recommend coming in the morning when everything is still hot and fresh . the prices are still reasonable and quality has not dropped after all these years . i grew up in the area and nicosias bread bakery is one of the reasons i make an effort to keep coming back.

Old times bakery – Menu with Prices – 3514 Pacific Ave, Tacoma

Affordable and delicious pastries!! This place doesn’t look like your average bakery on the outside, but with its huge sign up front you can’t miss it. There is lot parking so no need to park on the street. Old times bakery’s owner is just the sweetest gal that whips up amazing pastries from different Latin countries. She also makes your cannoli, cookies, banana breads, and lobster tails with the yummy cream filling. You have different fillings to choose some in your sweet treats. Such as guava, Nutella, dulce de leche, and Bavarian cream! My favorite is the creme brûlée cake. Portion size for those are very generous and wanting more. Usually by the end of the day, what you will see displayed is what you will get because they’re made fresh daily. The only thing that’s missing is signage in front of each item. Don’t be shy to ask what everything is. In this case, let your eyes choose for you. They’re all very delicious!

Valentina Bakery & Bistro – Menu with Prices – 201 Park Blvd, Miami

The first time I ordered from here was through grubhub and I was blown away by their coconut dessert but wished the burger I ordered wasn’t as soggy ( this can fixed by getting the bread on the side) by the tine I got it and figured it was much better ordered fresh at the restaurant. Today I invited my fiancé to go and try it out and we were Happy we did. The coffee selection was great and they had exotic imported different types to choose from. The menu has great selections even though when you first walk it seems like they only have sandwiches but they have more to choose from on paper menus by the register. The food was delicious and the bread was delicious and freshly baked. The bakery was small elegant and artistry which I really enjoyed. The portions were large and the prices were very reasonable for the quality it was. We couldn’t resist getting dessert to go, our meals were filling but we were willing to wait for later (see photo below). The owners of the bakery were sweet, attentive and made the experience wonderful and I let them know they I would be writing this and returning. Thank you!!

Milagrito Market and Bakery – Menu with Prices – 10705 Courthouse Rd, Fredericksburg

Milagrito is all of the following: Mexican grocery, bakery, deli counter, and restaurant. The restaurant we did not try but is right beside the grocery store. The deli is all the way in the back and looked quite small. The bakery items are in the back as as well in a case. They did not offer a huge selection of bakery items but I think there were enough selections for a grocery place that is on the small side. Upon entering on a Saturday at 4pm, I could smell the bakery items and it smelled so divine I had to try one. It seems they were restocking the bakery shelves with fresh goodies because a guy came from the back with a huge tray of baked goods. I had what looked like a rectangular cake with two layers with a thin layer of jelly between the layers. It had pink sugar on top. It was slightly warm so that’s a good sign. It was soft and not too sweet but sweet enough. Since it was such a huge slice, I had some left over the next day and it was still soft. Also bought some limes (6 for $1) and some spicy mango lollipop candy. Spent around $3.

Don Panchos Bakery – Menu with Prices – 140 Cesar Chavez St, St Paul

Had I known what an ice rink the roads were, I might have passed on the pastries today, but I didn’t and either did the droves of cars at the bakery. My parents gave me a coupon for $5.00 off @ Don Panchos. I think they thought I had purchased the croissants I brought them previously from Don Panchos, when in fact they were from Trung Nam. This is cute, and what looks to be family run bakery over in the Del Sol district. They have cases of freshly baked, inviting pastries and cakes. I love the smell of bakeries. They were bringing pans of fresh made loaves of french bread and dumping into a bin in the front. I wasn’t clear on whether or not I should help myself, so I asked and the young boy pointed me to the baskets sitting on the counter. I wasn’t too jazzed about using those- they looked kind of dirty, so I just lined it with some of the bakery tissue paper, took the tongs and purchased the following: – 3 churros which were nothing spectacular. -2 plain croissants which were ok. A little heavy and not light and fluffy like Trung Nam -1 cream cheese (I think) croissant which was delicious – 2 sugar donuts – chocolate filled empanada and something that looked like a biscuit. Not quite sure about that thing yet. I’ll have J try that one. Most of the items are labeled w/ prices. For all that with coupon it came to only $5.75 which was pretty cheap. Glad I tried it, but honestly I think I’ll have to stick to the heavenly croissants at Trung Nam.. This place is worth a visit though.

B+B Boulangerie – Menu with Prices – 607 S Pickwick Ave, Springfield

This place is amazing! A friend and I were on Pickwick grabbing brunch when we saw the sign for this bakery. The sign pointed us down this little path which led to a fenced in patio. There was a sign on the door that said Come In. Open the door and you are standing right in the kitchen. It was the quaintest thing!! My friend and I stood there for what seemed like forever trying to decide what we wanted. Everything looked and smelled AMAZING! We ended up buying a baguette to share and I picked up some of their homemade Whiskey, Ginger, Lemon Marmalade. I am so excited to have found a place in Springfield to buy fresh bread! I love B + B. Katie was so nice and helpful as we decided what to try. I will definitely be going back. The shop serves sandwiches throughout the week and brunch on Saturdays. I have to go back and try their yummy biscuits and gravy!

Westside Village Bakery – Menu with Prices – 1716 S Robertson Blvd, Los Angeles

This was the best bakery on the westside with brownies that would knock your socks off. The scones were moist and delicious and baked fresh daily along with muffins, cookies, breads, etc. They had the most beautiful decorated cakes and bundt cakes.
