Sausages in the kolaches are tiny. Specialty donuts priced $2.50-$4. Kind of expensive. Every time I asked the lady at the counter for the price of a donut, she would take a piece of paper and look at the price. Because all their donuts priced differently, it is very annoying, unless you do not care about a price. Nothing special including green tea donut. Got my kid donut with colorful icing and a unicorn on top. I thought it was a cookie, but you can not even eat a unicorn, because it is made of sugar that feels like a rock in your mouth. What is the point of making a cute kids donut, if there is a part of it that they have to throw away?

The Doughnut Club – Seasonal Hours – Menu with Prices – 501 Riverside Ave, Fort Collins

In the past few years it seems like donuts have become quite the thing in FoCo, from the mass-market sugar bombs you can find at that national chain on College around midtown to quirky little shops with unique takes on the classic snack. The Doughnut club definitely falls into the latter category, with their little storefront on the tiniest triangular block (bounded by Riverside, Mulberry, and, uh, a third street west of the Riverside-Mulberry intersection) … their donut wall display where the donuts actually rotate … their insistence upon spelling donut with the “ugh” in the middle. So. The deal here is that there is one basic type of donut — a hexagonal (do you care about shape? They seem to make a big deal about it …) vanilla raised donut, with holes cut but the donut hole remains a part of the creation — and the variation comes from glazes, toppings, sometimes a bit of gold leaf bling, and in the case of the cookie monster and unicorn donuts enough creativity to charm the children and adults who are children at heart. Similar to PL&LD, but four or five times the size. So they’re cute and creative and all, but how do they taste? I’m happy to report that the one I tried (caramel macchiato) was NOT cloyingly sweet, despite all of the gooey glaze dripping everywhere. The donut itself was sweet but not too sweet, really just a good fried dough backdrop to the icing (which had a great coffee flavor), the drizzle of caramel and the toppings — coffee grounds and a chocolate-covered espresso bean. If all of the icings are as nuanced and flavorful … well this could be a very dangerous thing. Though that blue icing is kind of scary. The downside — yeah, they are kind of pricey … the least expensive is a little less than $3, but most are closer to $4 territory. Now, this isn’t outrageous for a gourmet treat, and might even be rationalized as a bargain on a price per mass basis compared to some of the mini donuts available around town. You do get a discount if you buy a half dozen (5%) or a dozen (15%), so maybe your best bet is to consider these donuts a special occasion indulgence to share. Your waistline will thank you.

Honey Donuts – Menu with Prices – 1949 E Centerville Rd # 2, Garland

I can’t believe there are no reviews of this place… probably ‘cuz nobody can pinpoint the name of this establishment. There’s a sign out front that says Donuts Donuts. It used to be a Chinese restaurant years ago. The space is huge for a donut shop. In any case, this is THE BEST donut shop in South Garland. I’ve tried a bunch, but this place is tops. Very sweet Asian couple run the place. Everything is good… I particularly like the apple fritters and kolaches. The icing/toppings they use are so much better quality than the other raggedy donut shops in Garland. They always throw in extra stuff on my orders.

Donut Palace – Menu with Prices – 6024 Broadway Blvd, Garland

We know this place is made of love. The owner are the most sweetest morning humans ever. The donuts have so much flavor. Not too overly sweet. The bacon donut is my favorite. The donuts never over or under cook. They also have cute friendly designed donuts. Want a Cookie Monster one ? They have it!!!!! They also have savory breakfast donuts like sammiches. My coworker loves it when I bring donuts to work cause they are just too good. Better come try it out yourself to know my hype.

Sweet Donuts – Menu with Prices – 800 E Arapaho Rd #112a, Richardson

I was up early and it would be hours until lunch so I needed something to tie me over until lunch. This place was on my way and I stopped to check it out. It’s a donut hole-in-the-wall place as most mom and pop donut shops are. The guy behind the counter is stoic. It was relatively late and there wasn’t a huge selection. Normally I get a buttermilk (cake) donut, but it looked like they were out. I instead, got two glazed donuts. The donuts themselves were pretty good. Average to above average. The icing was still moist, enough that it didn’t fall off when you bit into the donut, but not so moist that it stuck to everything (other than the donut). I could have used the donut just fried a little more to make it more crisp, but that’s getting a little nit-picky. At $.65 each, that’s $1.41 out the door for two glazed donuts. Yes, I got three free donut holes, but that’s a relatively expensive donut. I can get cake donuts at other places for $.75 and I think that’s verging into the high side. Glazed donuts should be closer to $.50. I know what you’re thinking, “What’s $.15, dude?” It’s not that it’s just $.15, it’s that it’s 30% more than what I would expect to pay. I probably won’t come back here when there are better donut places with a better selection for better prices that are nearby.

Duck Donuts – East Cobb – Menu with Prices – Merchant’s Walk Shopping Center, 1281 Johnson Ferry Rd, Marietta

What a great donut shop! I came in very excited to try the new donut shop! I was not disappointed. I have never heard of a make-your-own donut shop until today. What a creative idea! You can order custom toppings, icing, and whatever you want! They also have a menu of types of donuts you can order if you don’t know what to pick. I will admit that it is overwhelming to decide what topping you want, there are so many to chose from! I ended up going with the Cinnamon Sugar donut! The prices are very reasonable. Only $1.50 for custom donut. What a bargain! I highly recommend Duck Donuts for any type of donuts! They also have coffee, hot chocolate, and breakfast sandwiches. I will have to try that next time!

The Donut Experiment St Augustine – Menu with Prices – 117 King St, St. Augustine

This place makes great made-to-order donuts, and it has such a fun setup. We come to St Aug once a month and happened upon the place. It’s a great place for kids with color books, Nintendo, joke books, etc. They have funky donut combos like Sriracha (peanuts on top with a drizzle of the sauce) and Key Lime, to maple bacon, to … whatever you want. You get a choice of an icing, a topping, and a drizzle. My youngest got a “cereal” (fruity pebbles) donut, my oldest got a Boston Cream, and my middle kiddo got an Oreo donut. Since the vanilla cake donuts themselves are made to order, they’re light and fluffy. I absolutely recommend this place if you’re in St Augustine, especially with kids.

Original Donut Man – Menu with Prices – 3224 Austin Peay Hwy, Memphis

Donut man has been a place for many great memories for my family. When I was young my dad would take me on the weekend to pick out donuts. As an adult my dad would take my son. My dad would always get tiger claws. They are long twisted donuts with cinnamon. My son loves their chocolate glazed donuts. I would get the chocolate bowties. They have a large selection that is made fresh daily. Most of the time we buy a large amount of donuts and they throw in some donut holes for free. Unfortunately my dad is no longer with us to carry on the tradition with my daughter and niece. I will definitely take up the torch and make sure they have memories of the best donuts I have ever had. Thank you Donut Man for all the special memories and many more to come.

Amazing Glazed – Menu with Prices – 321 Johnstown Rd, Chesapeake

I must say Virginia really knows what’s good when it comes to mom and pop shops cause this place was amazing. No pun intended. Came down from New York with a friend and found this little gem and was not disappointed. Their donuts are made fresh and they have different speciality flavor donuts on certain days which is awesome because vanilla donuts can get a little boring at times. They have all the toppings, icings, and drizzles you could imagine and I believe they even make those in house. The store offers a variety of different chocolates and candies that you can bag up yourself and it’s super cute and fun for the kids. I wish New York had a cute ass spot like this because who doesn’t love a fresh, hot donut? This place will forever be one of my favorite spots just cause of how pure it is and I will come back again with some creative donut creations ?

Swiss Donut – Menu with Prices – 622 N Story Rd, Irving

This is such a cute donut shop! The donut holes with icing are great, and I love that the dough they use is really light and and just the right hint of sweet. You definitely don’t feel that ” ughh” after eating them, because they aren’t heavy feeling at all. Which is really rare, especially for me since I have a sensitive stomach. But these donuts were just right. Definitely bring cash with you if plan on spending less than $4, as that is the minimum purchase requirement when using a card. When I went in, I didn’t realize there was a card minimum, but the woman that helped me was so nice, she just added some more donut holes for me so that I could reach the minimum. Smart and kind business owners for sure! I will say, they could use some more shelf organization, for the items not inside the donut case. But I will definitely be helping them out with that, as I feel like I finally found a donut shop to frequent! Definitely stop by here if you want a small hole in the wall kind of shop. The donuts are great!

Steveâ??s Donuts – Menu with Prices – 7201 Arlington Ave suite c, Riverside

Donuts on steroids! Came here on a Friday morning around 7:30 am, I was the only person at first but then a line started to form behind me. I was curious to go here because of the great reviews. I must say, this place does live up to the other 5 star reviews and I hope it remains that way. I got a dozen custom for my awesome coworkers and just got one of the cool, unique looking donuts (doubled on the red velvet since I got one for myself.) These custom looking donuts look like they’re on steroids since it seems bigger than regular donuts (maybe it’s the toppings which adds height?) The actual donut was so soft and fluffy, I kind of just wanted that with no icing! But the donut itself tasted fresh and the icing part (with dried up red velvet cake bits) was pretty sweet but that’s donuts for ya! :] The owner was refreshingly friendly and welcoming. He helped me out a lot with my selection & pricing. My custom dozen selection came out to $13 w/ a .50 cent charge for card use. So cash would be ideal here. I’ll be back if I ever have my donuts craving again.

Rise N Shine Donuts Menu with Prices 5901 S Coulter St, Amarillo

My Mom can’t resist a good donut. I bought her 1 donut from each of the 3 major donut businesses here in Amarillo & her top choice was Rise N Shine because it isn’t too sweet. It’s perfect. Since that time whenever she is in town, I get her those donuts. As I walk in to order the donuts they are nicely displayed $ very colorful. On occasion there will be a fly that gets in the case. The employees are very attentive & alert. They will quickly take your order so you can be on your way. The first time I ordered – Strawberry donut w/sprinkles – Cinnamon roll (it was huge!) – Blueberry cake – Donut holes The second time I ordered – red velvet cake – Bear claw (it was huge!) – Cinnamon twist PROS – plenty of parking – Has a drive-thru – Friendly service – Variety of donuts

Tyler’s Donut House – Menu with Prices – 11108 Evergreen Way # D, Everett

I stopped in here this morning purely based on the Yelp reviews. Apparently I’ve never had a fresh donut before. Wow! Tyler’s may lack some ambience, but I went there for the donuts, not the atmosphere. They had a wide selection, including a few I’ve never seen before. Individual donut prices are a bit more than other places, but if you pick up a half dozen or a dozen, they give you a price break which totally makes it worth it. Even my kids noticed a difference- and they’ll eat anything! Their donuts were light and airy when they needed to be, and that perfect donut density on the others that we chose. We’ll certainly be back!
