My favorite ice cream shop in Gainesville! Handmade with unique flavors, there is bound to be a flavor to satisfy your cravings! They swap out difference flavors daily, so I find myself trying new things upon each visit. I recently had a “Sweet Rice” flavored ice cream that surprisingly hit the spot! It was creamy and sweet with a subtle rice flavor that made it feel homey. This may sound unappetizing, but my friend and I found it delicious! The service is pretty fast and I find the employees to be typically friendly. I especially love that I don’t have to spend a lot of money on ice cream (compared to much more expensive ColdStone) and that it’s typically only a few bucks. I recommend coming in early since a lot of the popular flavors tend to run out during the middle of the day.

A Little More Hibachi Express And Poke Bowl – Menu with Prices – 1010 E Broadway #102, Columbia

Interesting place. Decent ice cream. We went this afternoon for rolled ice cream after seeing a friend post on Insta about it. You pick your ice cream from the menu (with pictures! helpful for when you have little kids!), order at the register, pay and then walk down the counter to watch it being made. They pour the ice cream batter (?) onto a cold surface, work in the toppings, spread it into a thin rectangle, and roll it into about 5 rolls. It reminded me of Coldstone, except served in rolls and less ice cream. The presentation is excellent, and the process is fun for kids to watch. Its $5.50 for a cup (includes the mixed in toppings that come with the flavor). +$0.50 for each extra topping. Its decent ice cream but not the best ever. Worth it? Maybe..? this time at least! My kids thought it was cool and it was a different experience than Andy’s.

Ohana Hawaiian BBQ – Menu with Prices – 459 College Blvd #2, Oceanside

So I ordered thru doordash sat June 1st at 6:30, the chicken was meh! The Short ribs were so salty, and too much soy sauce in the marinade it was impossible to eat, the macaroni had too much mayo, the breaded fish had no flavor, it was just salty, the panko shrimps were bland as well cause they didn’t bother to put any sauce on my order not even for the eggrolls, thank god the musubi was good cause i was starving and i dont have much money to spend on delivery otherwise i would’ve order pizza cause i dont care to save the food for later, the first and last time i order from this place, such a waste of money, such a let down.

Pacific Buffet – Menu with Prices – 2475 Chastain Meadows Pkwy NW, Marietta

My friend and I try to grab lunch together at least once a week, and we tend to find a buffet where we have a variety and be able to sit down, enjoy a meal, and chat. This one tops the list out of the many that we have tried in the surrounding area (believe me… we have tried a lot!!). The place is huge in comparison to some of the other ones. Tere was American cuisine (pizza, fries, wings, etc), Asian cuisine (different chk dishes, noodles. Fried rice, soups, etc), Japanese cuisine (all different kind of sushi). The fries were absolutely cooked to perfection, the pizza had a good ratio of dough to toppings, the noodles were flavorful, the soup was just ok (not my favorite, had better from other places). I didn’t try any of the sushi because it just didn’t seem fresh to me. The color of the fish was off, so I didn’t want to risk it and get a stomach ache. Then to finish our meal with delicious ice cream!! I mixed my flavors and got cookies ‘n cream with mint chocolate chip . Wish I had room for more ice cream!! The staff was attentive, always there to refill our waters and take our dirty plates. Very polite!! The place isn’t spotless, but the tables were clean and no food dropping all over the ground. However, I did find it weird that the 2 servers we had were sitting at the table next to us having lunch. It didn’t bother me that they were eating (they’re people too, but it’s the perception that bothered me)… but eating while working? Dont they get a lunch break? And do they not have a break room where they can eat in peace instead of taking a bite (more like scruffing down their food) and having to go clean tables and refill the customer’s drinks? Seems weird to me â?â?. This is probably the reason I gave it a 2 stars, you’re in the service industry; dont be scruffing down your food in front of me!! Do that in the back, out of the customer’s view!!! I just dont want to see you licking your fingers, wiping your mouth then come pour me water. At least go wash your hands first!!

Ohana Hawaiian BBQ – Menu with Prices – 2402 W Walnut St, Garland

Ohana Hawaiian is decent food, but I’m just personally not a fan. I would probably spend my money elsewhere in the future. – Spam Musubi: An order of this comes with 2 musubis. My issue with this is that the spam was ehh (didn’t have much flavor beyond the original saltiness), sitting on top of a BED of rice (like we’re talking more than half a cup of rice lol), and then wrapped in seaweed. I love spam musubis, but this was just A-OK. + Hawaiian Fried Rice: I’d give this a 3.5 or 4*. If you like pineapple, you may like this. It has diced pineapples, diced spam, egg, and it’s tossed with rice. The rice was fairly bland, so make sure you’re picking up a piece of spam to get some flavor! / Short Rib Plate: Okay, so I saw that EVERYONE was raving about this plate. I love galbi/short ribs, so I was down. Ordered this, but the meat is cut pretty thin. Flavor was yum, though. I don’t care for macaroni salad, so I can’t speak to that much. The veggies were OK (not much flavor). It comes with white rice, or you can swap for fried rice only. Would I get this again? Prob not, lol. Overall, I just wasn’t impressed. ? But the service was nice! ?

ÉgaliTea Organic Café – Menu with Prices – 248 Newbury St, Boston

I stopped by this place twice because I’m around the area frequently. The place is very nicely decorated, clean, modern and stylish. Everything they offer Ed seems to be organic or some sort of items that are gentle/healthy for the body. I wanted to try their tea ice cream, but the first time I wasn’t able to get any because the barista told me the ice cream was frozen too hard to be scooped out. The second time I stopped by, I asked if I could try 2 flavors first before buying because I wasn’t sure what to get (and they had 4 flavors of tea ice cream). I was kind of bummed the lady cut me a little short saying she could just give me those 2 scoops for my order (I guess..I wished she didn’t cut me short so I could really decide which flavors i wanted to spend my money on rather than deciding to go ahead and buy something I don’t know would be my preference). I ended up getting the Jasmine and Assam tea ice cream and thought they tasted good. Fo $6.95 though the portion is a little small..but I guess because I never tried those 2 flavors in the form of ice cream before…it was somewhat reasonable for me to spend just to try them. Overall, a decent place to enjoy your quiet afternoon with friends. It’s a little pricey here for the items you see on their menu board…but it’s a prime spot in Newbury…so…I don’t think it’s completely unreasonable either.

Scooped Nitrogen Creamery – Menu with Prices – 7721 Airport Blvd Suite E-130, Mobile

Buurrrrrrrr….it what you say to cold on the norm. This cold is an astounding YUMMMMMMMM!!!!! If you are a ice cream aficionado this is your Fort Knox without the bars and locks . There is not a more simple way to get fresh cream then this place. I was served by a interject young man named Daniel. He was helpful thoughtful and a pleasure to spend my money with. Tell him hello when you stop in but don’t hesitate to be served by others on the staff. They were all very good. The ingredients for the ice cream were as fresh as you would have at your home. If you are tired of getting hard month or longer cream from those chain parlors…then you found a spot. I personally felt satisfied because to get this home made cream I have to spend hours churning it at home. This was quick fast and delicious! There were also a large number of choices that would give you an infinite number of way to have your cream served. I personally choice my version of a Mississippi Mud….vanilla with brownie pecans and hot fudge. Ooooo weeeee….it was good. The building is clean…you get to see your cream made and the kids will love it. Great job management and staff….I’ll be back !!!!!

Shivers Ice Cream – Menu with Prices – 2425 Key St, Toledo

This is the third time I’ve gone to Shivers and it was great prior to tonight. The man who helped us was rather short with us from the get go. The ice cream we ordered (fudge brownie) tasted nothing like the flavor. It was gross and tasted like root beer. I informed one of the employees and was told that they don’t have root beer flavored ice cream (despite it being listed on their flavors on a paper on the window) and that the flavors for the ice cream come out of a machine, so perhaps it was the flavor from a precious cone. I’m not sure how that would happen with two entire cones of fudge brownie, or any flavor, but regardless, if that’s the case, beware of what you order because it may taste like something completely different. The most disappointing part was that there was no offer to get a different flavor or fix the problem. In the future I will get ice cream at a place with better customer service.

Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams Menu with Prices 800 Avalon Blvd, Alpharetta

Overall…just splendid!! Service: This place is small, but the staff is very efficient. They are quick to hand out samples and get your ice cream out to you. I mean? Why would they not be? This place can be packed especially during the summer and with the amount of foot traffic Avalon can get. The staff is used to it and they are ready for any rush. Food: delicious ice cream! Always something new to try out, but always stocked with the usuals. They have such unique flavors that you can’t find at any Baskin Robins or Brusters. Their ice cream is delicious and so light, that I never feel guilty after eating it. I recommend getting the Trio. Why? Well for $6 you get 3 half scoops and a large waffle cone chip. Why this and not just a cone? Well, I believe in optimizing what you pay for. For a cone, it’s $5 and you get one flavor. But with a Trio, you get to try 3 flavors for really only a $1 more. Sure, you don’t get to enjoy ice cream from a waffle cone, but it’s less of a mess and you get to try more flavors. The Trio was enough for both of us to share and not feel too full. 5/5 – because…I don’t always get ice cream, but when I do I always try to come to Jenni’s! I love this location because while I’m eating, I can go around window shop, and possibly burn off some calories from walking around a bit! It can get busy and it is hard to find seating around the building, but worth if you want good friendly staff and delicious ice cream!

Einstein Bros. Bagels Menu with Prices 4090 S Parker Rd Unit C, Aurora

Love love love this location. I usually come by around 2-3pm in the afternoon and use the drive thru. I drive out of my way to come to this location because of that, but also because the staff is amazing! I’ve had nothing but stellar service from this location, they are always on top of everything and are super nice. They do tend to sell out of things when it gets to be later in the afternoon, but typically I can get exactly what I wanted, which is better than other locations in the area who typically sell out by 2:30 at the latest. Honestly this location is the only reason I buy bagels as much as I do. They’ve made me an Einstein’s fan for life.

Adelheidi’s Organics – Menu with Prices – 630 5th Ave S, Naples

This is a gem in the rough. Everything on 5th Avenue South is so expensive and it is hard to find something that feeds into your inner sugar cravings that don’t cost a fortune. Adelheidi’s is amazing! They have vegan ice cream and gelatos. They aren’t as expensive as other ice cream places in 5th ave and they cater to those of us who still want to eat healthy but also want to satisfy our sweet tooth. This ice cream is basically guilt free ice cream. It is delicious. The customer service is great too. They have people who work there who really care and want to get to know their customers. This is something you do not find most places. I will definitely be returning! I was able to try different flavors and some flavors I wouldn’t even think would go together or taste well together and they really did. My favorite is the strawberry champagne. If you haven’t had the time you need to try this flavor! The lady who served us was so eager to talk with us and get to know us! That is A1 customer service in my book! Every flavor that I tried she gave a little back story on how it’s made. The mint ice cream was also a good flavor that I tried because she described that how the mint flavor isn’t just artificial flavoring they strain mint and use the actual mint leaves in the ice cream to really give it the natural flavor. I especially liked how the spoons that they used to let customers try their flavors were actual spoons and not just plastic spoons. This also proves how genuine they are about their vegan and save the planet themes. Those little extra touches make this place an amazing place and everyone needs to try it!

Fillings & Emulsions – Menu with Prices – 1475 Main St, Salt Lake City

I wanted to love Fillings and Emulsions, especially in light of the fact that this is also my husband’s nickname for me. It used to be jelly filled doughnut, but as our relationship has matured, so have our nicknames. First off, the space is hip and urban. You can watch the pastry chefs at work making their masterpieces in the kitchen. This is cool. I love watching pastry chefery in action. The service was great as well. We had pastry guides to help us decide what the best choices were. We got a variety of items including gelato, lime cheesecake, guava tart, and guava cream cheese roll cake, and macarons. My favorite thing by far was the lemon strawberry macaron. It was light and delicious and had just enough tart to offset the sweet of the berry. What disappointed me was the gauva cream cheese roll cake. I only ate half and then threw the rest away. The cake was extremely dry like it had been sitting in a fridge for far too long. The guava flavor in the cake was really hard to distinguish in any meaningful way. It just tasted like a nondescript sweet jelly substance. The cream cheese filling was good though. I would like to go back and see if this was just an off day or if I ordered the wrong thing, but there are other dessert establishments I would rather spend my money at based on my first experience.
