Wow a great coffee shop! I’ll definitely return if I’m ever in the area and need to get some work done. SERVICE: First of all, this place is exceptional due to their service! My barista was so welcoming and so helpful when I was trying to decide what to order. He gave me a whiff of happy tea which was smelled so fruity and delicious. I also noticed his interactions with other customers and it was outstanding! There seemed to be a lot of regulars that he knew, and he knew exactly what their order was. Really thoughtful and enduring! HIBISCUS LEMONADE: this was what my barista recommended since I liked the fragrance of the happy tea leaves. It is essentially a mix of strawberry lemonade with the happy tea. I personally could only taste the strawberry lemonade, and was missing the happy tea flavor. So I was a tad disappointed since I got the drink mostly because I loved the scent of the tea so much! Next time I’m for sure just gonna get the plain Happy Tea. Also the drink was $5.50 for their regular size which I found pretty pricey for such a small drink. MISC: this place is a beautiful coffee shop, has a ton of parking, and is a great place to get work/studying done! I was there on a weekday from 11am-2pm and it was busy but never full. Plus there is a beautiful outdoor patio area where you can hang out, especially if you want to bring a pet. There were power strips available, so just make sure you sit near one of you need to charge. And I never had a problem with the wifi

Peet’s Coffee – Menu with Prices – 2005 17th St, Denver

I work downtown and I have option for Peet’s or an International chain that shall remain nameless; both an equal distance from my office. I have transitioned to be a Peet’s customer 100%. From the initial “good morning” to receiving my coffee I always feel welcomed and that I am more than a $5 sale. I find their Peet’s app extremely helpful even if my drink isn’t specifically available for ordering. On busy work days I order and pay ahead on the app so I can pick it up and return to my meetings. I have to custom order my drink; a quad shot espresso macchiato (not the caramel kind). When I ordered through the app for the first time and went to pick up my coffee the barista said “hello” and began to tell me that she thought that was me that ordered and she knew what I wanted and how I liked my coffee. I’m in heaven with my Peet’s barista’s and feel like we are more than just a coffee order. A great cup of coffee can make or break your day some days and if I come to Peet’s I know my day is going to be amazing! The location is hard to beat, Union Station across from Whole Foods – perfection.

Rosebud Coffee – Menu with Prices – 2302 E Colorado Blvd, Pasadena

I’m going to get this out there first before you judge me too harshly…I do not drink coffee. Or any hot drink for that matter. Unless you consider soup a hot drink? I don’t, but not judging you if you do…Anyways, growing up in SoCal and it always being hot all the time, I never had a desire to put any more hot into my body. Didn’t see the appeal in it so never developed into a coffee or tea drinker. You must then be wondering, okay then why are you reviewing a coffee shop? Well because this coffee shop does serve other things and I also come here mainly to work and be able to have wifi. So I will be reviewing those two things. They offer free wifi to guests. There is a limit for up to a maximum of 2 hours but you can just log on again once it runs out. I guess this could be a problem if you’re in the middle if downloading or up loading something or on a wifi based call or meeting, but hey it’s free! They’ve recently started to do kind of a co working type of thing where you can reserve a desk to work on for just $10 per day and it includes access to printer, locker, unlimited wifi, drip coffee, and 10% off on any orders. That’s a pretty good deal! The location itself is great, lots of free parking in the lot out back as well as free street parking. The place is huge for a coffee shop, with plenty of seating for people to meet or work on a weekday, with outlets for you to plug in devices nearby. They have community events that happen here, a small stage for presentations and a tiny art gallery of local artists’ work. I also like that they are mission driven and you support a cause instead of just being strictly for profit. The main reason they aren’t getting 5 stars from me is because the hours aren’t that great, I feel like they close a little too early. The lemonade is also super sour. The barista did ask me if I wanted it sweetened and I declined but dude I didn’t realize I’d be drinking straight lemon juice. So yeah, next time I would get that baby sweetened. Other than that, cool place check it out and support them!!

Porto Rico Importing – Menu with Prices – 201 Bleecker St, New York

I would have give this coffee shop 5 stars. They put 4 express shot in my $4 ice latte. It was the best ice latte I ever had. However, the customers service is surprisingly awful. I would give them 0 star for customer service. Their so called baristas is the worst I have ever seen. The barista is even worse than the ones who work in Starbucks. I am not sure they are even qualified as a barista. I was taking photo of my coffee. The barista got freak out and said don’t take pictures of him and told me to delete from my phone. I don’t know who he think he is because I was taking photo of the “coffee”. Just like the other reviewers on yelp, this coffee shop has 0 customers service even they have great coffee. They’re very unlike other coffee shop. First, They don’t offer a comfortable environment for you to stay. No seats inside of course. Apparently they want the customers to pay the money and go away. Second, this place is not credit card friendly unlike other coffee shops in the city. They have old fashioned machines. They prefer cash. Third, the environment is dirty. You can actually see the dusts around the cashier area. The only good thing about this coffee shop is the good coffee with cheap price. I would still come to here next time but I would just close my eyes and ignore everything and get my coffee out of here.

Bottoms Up Espresso – Menu with Prices – 80 W Warner Rd, Chandler

I drive by this place all the time and decided to try it out today. I went through the drive thru this morning around 6:45am with no one in front of me or behind me. After looking at the menu for a minute and not getting a response at the order board I pulled up to the window. A barista made my drink (a Little Irish Girl- this is the name of the drink, not a description of the barista) and I went to work. Honestly, had I not known this drink contains espresso, I would not have guessed it at all. The drink was very pale looking and tasted sweet and nothing like coffee. I had to add black coffee to it just to balance the taste out. I don’t know if it’s just bad location, competition around (2 Dunkin Donuts, 2 QTs, 2 Circle Ks, Starbucks, SoZo, Ziggi’s, Bikini Beans, Dutch Bros- all within a 5 mile radius) or price, but I get the feeling this business isn’t going to last. For the price/quality, there are other coffee houses nearby that are better. I really wanted to like this coffee shop because of how conveniently located it is, but I probably won’t be returning here again.

Bikes and Beans Menu with Prices 1350 S Vista Ave, Boise

Had no expectations going into this new spot and I was pleasantly surprised by how cool it is! Literally a bike shop and coffee shop mixed into to one awesome place! Greeted right away by the southern belle barista and found out that the coffee shop is not messing around when it comes to there coffee. Felt like the barista was quite knowledgable about the variety of coffees offered here. Lots of seating for a group of friends to get together also couple of outside tables. My coffee was excellent and service was superior! Highly recommend and I will return sooner than later! Don’t hesitate to visit this cool coffee shop

Bravo Rocco Italian Cafe – Menu with Prices – 9200 Stony Point Pkwy, Richmond

A new standalone coffee shop, has a vibrant interior design, cold cases, a limited selection of pastries and sandwiches and several coffee selections. It has great seating but was pretty empty when I went in. I hope that this changes soon! The shop only had one barista at the time, so there was a short wait, but the owner came out to be sure that everyone was being serviced. The shop is right across from Biggs, Ltd. a gift shop I visit periodically and I am so happy to see a shop that is not a chain offering coffee drinks in Richmond. I ordered the Forest Berry Italian Frappe, a drink I had not seen elsewhere and it was a very refreshing, not too sweet mixed berry drink and of course I added whipped cream. I will definitely return in the future. I am hopeful that its location near the H&M will bring enough business. It is often hard to see what is old and new at Stony Point Fashion Park but this is a hidden gem they have to offer.

Kahwa Coffee – Menu with Prices – 701 6th St S, St. Petersburg

I’ll give this tiny coffee bar at the hospital a 5/5 because it’s convenient, the coffee is good, the barista is nice, and the caffeine in their coffee does the job. +3 stars- yummy coffee. Their coffee is not the best that I have had but it is delicious and it is good. It does not have any after taste and it is smooth. They also have daily offers and happy hour. I don’t remember what exactly it was but I remember 50% off pastries after 3pm. +1 star – convenient for me because we spend a lot of our time at the hospital and it is easy to just go to this location and have a yummy hot cup of coffee to get through the 12 hour shift and the cold hospital environment. If you are at Bayfront and you need some coffee, definitely come here! +1 star – nice barista. The barista who works here is nice. She does her best to accommodate us even if she is working by herself. She also let us know that there is 10% off with a USF ID so if you have a USF ID don’t forget to avail this offer. LOCATION: it is inside the West Entrance of Bayfront. You can park in their parking garages or the 2 hour curb parking. Overall, they have good and yummy coffee. I suggest that you try their coffee.

Hardy Coffee Co. – Menu with Prices – 2112 N 30th St, Omaha

Whoa! I am blown away by this location. Honestly, this was such a happy surprise to “discover” this coffee shop. I had a work engagement at the Highlander and the minute I walked into this Hardy location, I knew it was a place I could frequent. I’ve always enjoyed Hardy Coffee and now add in a spot that is bright, vibrant, and just has a cool feel to it. They offer a wide variety of baked items and maybe other stuff that I haven’t yet discovered. But, I can’t wait to discover more. I did not know this place existed until yesterday and that makes me sad. Then again, I am very happy I’ve found it because it’s close to work and is such a great space. I definitely plan to rotate this into my usual coffee routine. If I were you, I would run/drive (at a reasonable speed, of course) to this coffee shop to give it a try.

Nook Coffee Bar – Menu with Prices – 2930 Bristol St #B105, Costa Mesa

Today was one of those rare mornings where I had time to indulge in coffee that was not from a kcup or an Alterra bag, made at the often-used, and probably not cleaned often enough coffee machine at the office. I decided to stop by Nook for the first time. Unlike during lunch hours, there was ample parking available as other businesses at the Lab were closed. The Nook had a welcoming ambience, with the morning sun streaming through the floor to ceiling glass windows. A barista said hello and I ordered a Spanish latte. I also wanted to order food and was looking for a menu when someone else walked in. He seemed to be a regular as he was greeted warmly by the barista, who then proceeded to ring me up for the latte. When I said I wanted to order food and asked if there was a menu, he quickly pointed to the plastic case containing bagels. I felt like I was being rushed, presumably so the regular customer could be helped. Anyway, I ordered a jalapeño bagel and paid for it. In the meantime, the barista prepared the regular customer’s drink. I don’t think he had even started mine yet. 5 min later, my food and drink were ready. I thanked him, but he didn’t bother to look up from his phone. As I left, I even said, ‘Thank you again! Have a good day’. Even that didn’t seem worthy of a glance away from his phone. It was like he didn’t hear me at all or was just ignoring me. Definitely different than the way he greeted and helped the regular customer who came after me. I have gotten better, much friendlier service from baristas at SBucks, Dunkin’ Donuts or any other chain coffee shops. I wish the barista was nicer. It was a such a quiet and beautiful morning and I didn’t think I did anything to be treated differently from the customer who came after me. It was not like they were busy either. That being said, both latte and the bagel were delicious! I would get both again but given the service I would first seek out other coffee shops before coming back here.

Foster Street Coffee – Menu with Prices – 530 Foster St #2, Durham

I visited Foster Street Coffee a couple of times, during lunch time. When you walk in, the coffee shop is open and welcoming. The coffee bar is a few steps away from the door and each time, a smiling barista was waiting to take my order. The coffee shop is bigger than what it looks like from the street. Inside are cozy tables up front of the large window overlooking the street and then a few oversized armchairs that looked very soft (haven’t tested them out yet!) A little further back were some longer tables that looked like they were good for working on the laptop and sipping on your coffee. There was also a conference room with a large table and a TV for more organized meetings. I was impressed because this coffee shop could be a very convenient place to meet at if your organization is located in Downtown Durham. The menu board is simple, clean and elegant. They carry everything you’d expect from a coffee shop. I decided to try a coffee frappe, which is ice cream, coffee and vanilla. It wasn’t overly sweet at all. The coffee flavor came through strong, so it’s not quite like a milkshake. Maybe not good for a kid. It was tasty and I finished it all easily. I think I’ll experiment with the syrup flavors in the future. For my second visit, I tried a vanilla chai latte. I must admit that Starbucks is my standard for a vanilla chai latte. I find they have the best taste to me. I’ve tried a lot vanilla chais in other coffee shops and they never quite compare to Starbucks. But Foster Street surprised me. Their vanilla chai was light but sweet, creamy, slightly spicy and the froth on top was perfect. There was a lot of it. I was impressed with the first sip. It’s just as good as Starbucks chai, for sure. I will definitely make that drink a staple for next time I visit Foster. Each time, the barista brought the drink out directly to me and I thought that was so sweet. I’m happy to have a great local coffee shop in the area.

Humble Coffee – Menu with Prices – 2103 Templeton Gap Rd, Colorado Springs

I should start with saying I am NOT a coffee person .. not at all so it takes one hell of a good cup of coffee to impress me . I drive by here to take me young one to school so we stop in and I order my extra sweet soy Poker … and it’s BOMB . Always . It doesn’t matter who the barista is and that usually matters when you go to a coffee shop , but here they all are Skilled at making drinks . It always Tastes amazing . Another big thing is temperature , for one they NEVER scorch the milk and it’s never too hot to drink when they hand it to you . I despise being handed a drink that’s too hot to even drink because it’s the temperature of the surface of the sun . That’s never happens to me here . They’re very conscientious of this . I want to order the drink and be able to drink it immediately and I can do that when I order a hot drink from Humble . I have ordered drinks at other coffee shops that have been too hot to enjoy for over 15 minutes after I ordered it !!! Wtf ! And then when I did take I sip it was nasty . Pricing is amazing and you don’t feel ripped off here . It’s fair for once . Not a ten dollar cup of coffee. Another thing is the friendliness of the baristas . Dutch bros is known for their happy bubbly employees BUT humble isn’t getting enough credit for their friendly happy faces . Always pleasant and polite . They treat you kindly and even when super busy and never short or rude and they don’t rush you off . They go out of their way to make sure you have a good drink and a good experience . They have made me a “poker ” addict ! Thanks y’all ! Starbucks , Dutch bros , Dunkin and the other randoms don’t hold and espresso bean to you all !

Spyhouse Coffee – Menu with Prices – 215 S 4th St, Minneapolis

IF YOU WANT TO VISIT THE MOST AESTHETICALLY PLEASING COFFEESHOP, look no further! I’m serious when I say that my jaw dropped to the floor and stayed on the floor for the entire time I was there. Found in the hotel lobby of Emery, this is one million percent the most beautiful Spyhouse, of all locations ever. The whole place gives off LA vibes and I cannot believe that such a beautiful place exists right here in Minneapolis! There is A LOT of room for homework, friends, and impromptu photo shoots. The lobby is filled with beautiful, REAL plants and the prettiest furniture! The barista was the sweetest human ever and was very talkative. Seriously wish I could give this place 6 stars! Parking is on the street as it is downtown, but you shouldn’t have too much problems with that! Bathroom has very pretty wallpaper and huge mirror to take selfies in. Order the jasmine tea lemonade if you want your taste buds to explode from happiness.
