I didn’t try any of the cupcakes or other candy so I am judging only on the popcorn. I sampled at least a dozen flavors before settling on a 3 bags — garlic parmesan, butter, and caramel cheese. The counter people were “busy” making candy so we had to ask for help. The popcorn was “ok” but not really special to me, especially for the price. True they have some interesting flavors like caramel apple and dill pickle, but I felt the pop corn was less than fresh tasting and the depth of flavor was missing. They have a great selection of chocolate dipped Oreo cookies for parties including pokeballs, soccer balls, baseballs, and others. They have some chocolate dipped gummy candies too. I have to say, though, that the caramel cheese popcorn I bought at Winco was better, especially the price at $4.99 compared to $11.00. The owner responded to my complaints right away and I’m adding a star for the great customer service he provided.

Del’s Popcorn Shop – Menu with Prices – 213 S 6th St, Springfield

Just had my first taste of Del’s Popcorn and it was fabulous! Me and a couple friends just stopped in and since we couldn’t decide because of all the flavors, we each bought three bags so we could share and taste as many flavors as possible. You have got to try the Charamel (cheese and caramel), the Caramel (and the variations with nuts), the Chocolate is to die for, the Cheese is perfect – great smooth Cheddar flavor and the Salt and Vinegar is so tangy!!! I’m so glad they told me they deliver because I don’t live close by and when I need a popcorn fix or to send a delicious gift, I now know where to go!

Yogurt Mountain – Menu with Prices – 1520 Town Center Dr, Lakeland

Excellent little snack stop right snack dab in the middle of the Town Center Mall at Lakeland Village. It’s right in the circle so it’s easy to find however, there’s no direct entry. You have to go through BAM! (Books A Million) to gain access to this little shop. They’re set up just like any other self serve froyo joint and they’ve got about 12-15 flavors to pick from or mix. Personally, I favor the fruity flavors; Orange and Tigers Blood (which is watermelon coconut). The family also tried cookies and cream, chocolate, fudge, vanilla, etc. All were hits! But the toppings is where it’s at! We’ve been to a lot of self serve froyo places; we seek them out everywhere we go in our travels. But none have had the selection of toppings as this place. They’ve got everything from typical sprinkles, choco chips, fruit, etc to whole enormous oreo cookies, rice crispy treats and candy bars…and everything in between, including lots of liquid toppings like caramel, peanut butter and the like. Prices were comparable to any other similar place; for the three of us it was around $12. We will definitely be back!

Ampersand Ice cream – Menu with Prices – 1940 N Echo Ave, Fresno

Awesome first experience!! All of the servers were very nice and knowledgeable. So, there were 5 of us here to try ice cream. Here are the reviews: 2 chocolate chip cookies: they were really tasty. Not Granny’s homemade, but they’re a close 2nd or 3rd, easily. The Center was soft, edges a little crisp and sprinkled with sea salt. Yum! 2 mini scoops of Raspberry Sorbet for the kids (aged 5 and 6): they loved it and asked for another scoop. 3 scoops of Bordeaux for the teen (13y/o): “It was good, I liked it. I really liked it.” 2 “flights to-go” aka 4 scoops in a large cup. Flavors are as followed: Apricot, Cherry & Goat Cheese: AMAZING!!! Not pungent at all. The flavors married into a deliciously smooth and creamy surprise. I loved it!! Bordeaux: Very nice flavor. Much like See’s Candies Bordeaux candy…chocolate with a hint of espresso. Honeycomb: Delicious and buttery. A bit on the sweet side, but not too sweet, with crunchy pieces of honeycomb throughout. Whiskey Salted Caramel: This is tied for my favorite alongside the Apricot, Cherry & Goat Cheese. Salted Caramel is an all-time favorite, but the hint of whiskey flavor takes it up a notch. Overall, very pleased with this experience and I will be returning on my next visit to the Valley.

Andy’s Ice Cream & Candy Co – Menu with Prices – 1538 W Ridge Rd, Rochester

There are several of these nifty candy stores spread around Rochester so I’m surprised no one really talks about them. Maybe this is because the stores pop up on occasion and then disappear as if they never existed? Possibly. Anyways, Andy’s Candies mostly specialises in chocolate. What kind of chocolate you ask? The three main types to start out with (White, Milk and Dark) in addition to other varieties such as peanut and almond. Soft or hard chocolate? Yes, Andy’s has that too. What I like about Andy’s is that the chocolate comes in many different forms and styles. In here, you can find the traditional chocolate bars and box of truffles, nothing wrong with the classics. However, you can also get chocolate in the shape or letters, hearts, lollipops, money and even cars! Solid Milk Chocolate Porsche? Gladly! You can find this hidden gem sandwiched between Toys R Us and Davinci but you’ll have to squint to see the sign, it is hard to miss. It’s a good size store inside and all the chocolate is on full display on open shelves so browsing is easy. There is usually only one associate at the register but she can help you find any piece you are looking for with no worries so if you need a recommendation or can’t find that special piece, she’ll help you to the best of her ability. On the downer, it can get a bit pricey here depending on which candies you choose. The bigger pieces will carry a bigger price tag but it isn’t ‘break the bank’ amounts. Overall, I enjoy Andy’s Candies and encourage many to delight in the candy as much as I have. II hope this store doesn’t go under like the rest but I just can’t be certain. Give it a visit, even if you don’t buy anything. Did I mention the delicious caramel corn? They have that too!

Russell Stover Chocolates – Menu with Prices – 1300 Village West Pkwy, Kansas City

Part outlet store, all retail store, this is one of a handful of Russell Stover candy stores in the city. The bulk of the store has most, if not all, of Russell Stover and Whitman’s line of chocolates and candies (regular and sugar free), including Jelly Bellies. They have individually packaged candy as well as bulk. They always have “seasonally wrapped” boxed candy and candy assortments on hand (for guys … Lol) for when you need a last-second gift for Mother’s Day or an anniversary. A complete ice cream selection sits alongside an amazing collection of freshly-made fudge and hand dipped caramel apples. My personal favorite are the bloopers in the back. Bloopers are boxes and bags of whatever got messed up at the factory and can’t pass the eye test for selling at retail. Otherwise, it’s the same candy only cheaper. The store doesn’t get a say in what the factory sends them, but it is always my first stop. I highly recommend this location in the Legends. The staff is always friendly and helpful.

La Fiesta Candies & Ice Creams – Menu with Prices – 3516 E State St, Rockford

THIS IS THE BEST PLACE IN ROCKFORD TO GET CANDY TREATS, HIGH QUALITY ICE CREAM, SNACKS AND SMALL TOYS ! The folks there are always so friendly and helpful. The place is so nice and clean. Every time I go here, I find something NEW, and delicious. There is a WHOLE NEW WORLD of Candies that I never knew existed ! Plus, all my “old favorites”, Jelly Belly’s, caramel and other popcorn, and even GOURMET CHEESECAKE! Plus lots of Birthday and Party supplies and Greeting cards. AND the largest selection of Pinatas I have ever seen. It’s one of the best kept secrets in Rockford. YOU should check it out!

Fratelli Authentic Italian Baking – Menu with Prices – 1795 Commercial Dr, Vancouver

I love Fratelli, and the fact that it’s steps from my house is both amazing and awful! Any time I need a sweet treat I pop in here and pick something up. The staff are efficient and quick, and the selection is huge! My go-to favourites are the espresso shortbread cookies (chocolate dipped, of course), and the chocolate dipped macaroons. You know, for someone who doesn’t like chocolate that much, I sure eat a lot of it from Fratelli!! It’s extra delicious! They have full sized cakes and pies as well, and do custom ordering if you’re looking for something for a special occasion. They also have whole, but small versions of a lot of cakes and cheesecakes which are extremely tempting! And don’t neglect the fresh bread behind the cake counter – they have some amazing flavours there too. It’s not super cheap, but these are handmade, home cooked slices of heaven – and well worth the price! Go, eat, fall in love!

POPPED Artisan Popcorn – Menu with Prices – Production Facility, 510 N 7th Ave Suite 140, Tucson

This household eats [Popped] religiously. I mean that. When we buy it, it’s like a sacred ritual that we wait for a special moment when we (my husband and I) are sitting down together and then we try really hard to share equally between ourselves and savor the flavor we chose. We try really hard to make their large bags last, but alas, we usually gobble up the entire bag within a few minutes of frenzied, grabby eating and spend the rest of the night lamenting we wish we had more. And so it continues, this cycle. In all seriousness though, this popcorn is delicious. You’d be hard-pressed to find a seed in a bag. The kernels are fluffy and large, the flavors are always exactly right. Never too sweet or spicy or salty. Whenever we head to Tap & Bottle we always grab a bag of the Sweet Curry flavor. No snack has ever been invented that goes better with a beer, and yeah, that includes pretzels. During the holidays their peppermint flavor is my favorite, but Gingerbread is right up there in goodness. But this year they have Mole Caramel and Sonoran Caramel flavors too and they are also very good. The Mole Caramel has a spicy finish, but not spicy in any way that would off-put someone who says they don’t like spicy. The lemon poppyseed, churro, and truffle are also my second place favorites… I literally can’t decide which I like more. They are all just that good. (Some specs: all bags are GMO free popcorn, vegan flavors, and extremely fresh. The flavors are REAL ingredients and seasonings. They also partner with other local makers and businesses to create flavors, such as their holiday partnership with Three Wells Distilling to make the Sonoran Caramel flavor with their prickly pair liquor. The traditional flavor bags come in a larger size while their exclusive/holiday flavors come in a smaller bag size. Both bags serve a very generous amount of popcorn for the price, although they look a little deceiving in that regard.) It’s been our tradition for the past 2 or three holiday seasons to send a bunch of bags of their popcorn as gifts to our out-of-state family members. My parents, in particular, are popcorn fiends like me and they LOVE the flavors I have sent them (shout out to Wisconsin!). My mom’s favorite is the churro, and my dad’s is the lemon poppyseed. If you haven’t tried this popcorn you need to get a bag (or 3) ASAP.

sugar kingdom – Menu with Prices – 3000 Atlantic Ave, Virginia Beach

Was hanging out with my nephew (13 yrs old) down at the beach when we saw this candy store. I felt like the 13 year old when I walked in because it was a very bright, colorful and sweet smelling! It was as if I entered the willy wonka chocolate factory. I wanted to touch and taste everything! It’s very clean and organized by the type of candy and colors. You can create your own bag of candy selection by choosing from their vast selection and weighing it all when your done. They have toys and trinket candy dispensers, T-shirt’s and tierras. It’s a toy store and candy store rolled up in one. The drawback, it’s very expensive. Parking is on the side metered street or garage. It’s a nice splurge for the sweet tooth and kid in you!

Yummy Tummy Cheesecakes – Menu with Prices – 4820 Kostoryz Rd E, Corpus Christi

Over 90 flavors of cheesecake, what!!!!! We are staying in Port Aransas for vacation this week and while visiting the aquarium/Lexington I decided to see what desserts place for Ice Cream and then Yummy Tummy pops up on the list Tuesday 5/28. I love cheesecake so does my mom and wife, we let the kids drive with their uncle and papaw. Walk in and the smell of cookies hit you which were delicious. The cheesecakes are lined up for a regular size cheese cake in a small display in the center was a display for individual slices of cake. On one side of room is mini cheesecakes that are in muffin cups and decorated, strawberry shortcakes(we splurged and bought one for the drive to the island. (Gone before we went over the bridge). On the right side is a cooler with at least 30 flavors ready to buy as a walk-in. We bought 6 different flavors of the mini size 4″ pies. Pistachio, Pineapple, Strawberry and Lemon. The other 2 were by far the favorites, Caramel Delight – regular cheesecake with Oreo cookie style crust, thin layer of caramel and a caramel coconut chew and the drizzled with chocolate and caramel. You should take the chew off and cut it into pieces first or destroy the cheesecake but it’s so worth it the chewy nougat and cheesecake together was awesome, and we thought couldn’t get any better. Then we opened the banana cream pie and we get like we had a banana pudding sitting in front of us, so creamy and flavorful. The owner mentioned Pistachio and Boston Cream as her favorites so my wife picked the Pistachio and lived it too. She said all flavors were on her Facebook page. Let’s be honest there is not any cheese cake today they all were so good. Guess I will have to drive from Dallas to get another cheesecake after vacation is over. We maybe stopping by as we leave town. If your an out of towner a local told me it was an older part of town, don’t fret go anyways you don’t want to miss out it was a 30 minute drive from Port A.

Gator Bob’s Trading Post – Menu with Prices – 161 San Marco Ave, St. Augustine

We came here to Gator Bob’s Trading Post to cool down from the summer heat with some ice cream. This location was the only place we found for ice cream that wasn’t in the busy part of town. Gator Bob’s served Hershey’s ice cream which included the following flavors: Mint Chocolate Moose Tracks, Peanut Butter Cup, Unicorn, Muddy Sneakers, Strawberry Cheesecake, Vanilla, Chocolate, and Key Lime Pie. It would’ve been nice if they had more of a variety but we were ok with it. I had a scoop of the Mint Chocolate Moose Tracks which was Mint ice cream with brownie bites and chocolate caramel cups. It was really delicious especially with the brownie bites. I also had a scoop of the Unicorn ice cream which was a super sweet ice cream with sour/sweet candies. This ice cream was REALLY sweet, maybe a bit too sweet for me. My Grandfather had the Muddy Sneakers which was a vanilla and peanut butter ice cream with chocolate candies. He really enjoyed it and devoured the whole cone without a word. And lastly, my uncle had the Strawberry Cheesecake which he loved very much. Overall, I would probably come back to Gator Bob’s for ice cream.

Fray’s Donut House – Menu with Prices – 5236 16th St N, St. Petersburg

Donut joke around and get donuts anywhere else! Frays has the best donuts in town (far superior to the chains!) and with the best prices. They have classic flavors like strawberry sprinkle, chocolate, and Boston cream, but their honey dipped is where it’s at! I usually go for the chocolate honey dipped. Whatever you choose, you won’t be disappointed! I haven’t tried their other assortment of treats like the croissants, fritters, or turnovers by they all looked great in the case.
