I’ve been going to domo for a long time. It’s a quick spot with lower priced, good portion, quality, hibachi style eats. It’s family owned, with extremely pleasant service and the food is ready fast… plus… they deliver. It’s a much healthier tasting option than some quick chinese, and the meats are all good. It’s not gonna be as good as Miyabi, and it doesn’t come with the flair and the show, but its much lower cost and seriously, what beats hibachi at home with a movie?

Hibachi Express Lakeland – Menu with Prices – 5351 N Socrum Loop Rd, Lakeland

Hibachi Express is something we tried after going to Fancy Q’s religiously. For that, maybe I’m a bit biased and expecting more than what I got. Hibachi Express, as a quick lunch, is great. You get quite a bit of food for fairly cheap. I would, however, choose somewhere else for dinner. At Fancy Q’s you get 3 free appetizers before your meal while Hibachi Express charges everything separately, down to the noodles that come with Hibachi Meals. It makes full meals very expensive, very fast. Past lunch, I’m all Fancy Q’s. I will say, on their own, Hibachi Express is great. The food is good, the establishment is visibly clean and the staff is not overly friendly or intrusive. The only issue: the cups and the soda machine. It could’ve been my luck, but while we were there all of the cups had holes in them. The soda was flat in every machine, leaving water as the only option to drink. Other than that, great place for a quick lunch.

Point Cinema – Menu with Prices – 7825 Big Sky Dr, Madison

This has been my go-to movie theater since I moved to the area in 1998. Since that time, Point has made numerous upgrades to change with the times, as well as to compete with the many home viewing options that keep people away from the theater these days. A few years ago, Point remodeled to update their look, as well as to add a bar, dining, and reclining seats in every auditorium. I have taken advantage of the Take 5 bar in the lobby before a movie many times, and I love that you can carry your beverage into the theater with you. The food in the bar is good too. Nothing overly special or unique, but good for a bite before or after your show. The bar has a giant screen where they show old movies, and on game days, they show sports and have food and drink specials. You don’t need a ticket to a movie to enjoy the bar’s accommodations. It’s no secret that seeing a movie isn’t exactly easy on the wallet. However, Point offers a lot of specials to help make things more affordable. My husband and I take advantage of the early bird pricing often, where movies before 11 are only $6. And every Tuesday, movies are only $5 all day, and there are snack specials as well. There are also showings of special film series, (for example, October will have Fright Nights with popular horror movies). I don’t know how much these, or other series cost, but I know they are less than a typical movie ticket. Also, if you’re a frequent movie goer, consider signing up for the rewards program for additional deals and discounts. Point staff members are always friendly. The bathrooms, lobby, auditoriums, and other common areas are all clean and well maintained. I’d say my only real complaint is I feel like talkers and texters typically get away with being rude and annoying. Almost every movie I go to has some person being disruptive in one way or another. That drives me absolutely nuts. I know that if you complain, someone from the staff will talk to the offenders, but I really don’t like getting up during a movie that I paid a lot to see just to tell the ushers to do their jobs. Overall, Point is my favorite theater in Madison, and I will always choose to go there over any other theater in town.

Hibachi To Go – Menu with Prices – 894 S Kerr Ave STE 7, Wilmington

This is only my second time ordering from this place and I will never go back they messed up or order the first time and the food taste bland. My boyfriend wanted hibachi again and this is the only place with a drive thru so he was gonna give it another try. I ordered spring roll, the steak and chicken with fried rice, and an a key lime cheesecake. When I got home and gave him his food they gave him a cookie dough cheesecake and steamed rice; went back told them they messed up and gave me the wrong pie and steamed rice not fried they were okay and was gonna fix it when I got home they fixed the pie and again gave bland steamed rice. I didn’t wanna make a trip over there for a third time, so I just called and they basically said we were lying and got the correct food. I’ll just stick to hibachi bistro they are always nice and I’ve never gotten the wrong food.

hibachi express – Menu with Prices – 2051 Henderson Rd, Columbus

Tried it with partner and daughter Saturday evening around 6pm. Only one other couple there but another customer was in parking lot waiting for carryout order. Cons: ALL food is served in styrofoam even if you are eating there. It’s hibachi so it’s fresh but they don’t cook in front of you. You order at a counter and they cook in their kitchen area. So don’t think you are getting a “show” for the kids. Unappealing Christian music so it doesn’t feel like an Asian experience. No knives, no chopsticks, no adult beverages, no white/steamed rice (only “fried” rice but without egg, peas, etc). Their brown sauce in which everything is served is very sweet, not soy tasting at all. Prices are $7-$15 depending on what you order so while some people would say it’s less expensive than other hibachi places it’s actually the same if you were eating lunch at another hibachi place but much less if you were expecting to pay dinner prices at another hibachi place. Pros: clean place, patient, kind staff. Excellent EGG YOLK sauce. You get to choose what veggies you want-BRILLIANT! I probably won’t eat there again simply because the sweet flavor and lack of rice options but my partner liked it more than I did so I say you should give it a shot.

Wheat Pizza By Jay – Menu with Prices – 2220 20 Ave NW, Calgary

Horrible customer service! Called for delivery to crescent heights… it clearly states on their menu they deliver to this area. Was told my address was pushing the limits and not even given an option to pay more for a delivery fee (which I happily would’ve done if I had been treated nicer !). I Google mapped it after the phone call and it was 3.1 km and a 7 min drive! Guess the 0.1 over their limit is too much for them !! Obviously this place does not care to bring more revenue to their business. Doesnt matter how good your pizza is supposed to be If u continue to treat customers like this !

RJ Cinema Eastgate – Menu with Prices – 4450 Eastgate S Dr Suite 100, Cincinnati

Came here last night for a movie. This is located in the old dollar theater. I love the concept. I think the east side area is sorely in need of adult entertainment. This is a great option for Date Night! I stay away from normal movie theaters bc of the crowds and kids. The decor is beautiful, bar staff was knowledgeable and friendly. Drinks were well mixed and flavorful. Cost was a little high for drinks (1 double Jack and coke and 1 peach BlackBerry martini = $20) but the movie tickets were only $9.95, so it offset the cost some. Getting tickets was a little awkward and confusing. They advertise purchase kiosks but there werent any we could see. Nobody was in the front to greet us. There was a cashier’s counter to the right, but no one was there. We had to go back to concessions to get tickets. They could add free standing kiosks at the front to eliminate confusion or a sign that says “counter closed. Please purchase tickets ar concessions”. There was plenty of room to sit in the lobby and enjoy your drink or food. The theater also has regular theater seating (not stadium style) with moveable armrests and tables. My only disappointment was the tables could not move up and down and there were no leg rests. Other than that, it was a fantastic experience.

Yoki Buffet – Menu with Prices – 1145 NW Broad St, Murfreesboro

There’s just something about a clean restaurant. I appreciate that the place, compared to the previous restaurant, is a total 180 fr. This place has new owners. Hopefully the new owners stay longer and not sell out. Anyways, other than the cleanliness, they offer a very large variety of Chinese food. To accommodate kids and the local population, American food is offered as well. There are three types of food offered: sushi, stand hot Chinese food, and hibachi. I tried two out of three. I wasn’t really hungry, but the food was good. If you’ve been to a Chinese buffet, Yoki’s offers the standard fare. Therefore I picked a little bit of everything. There was the lo mein, sweet & sour chicken, sautéed green beans, and glazed button mushrooms. I picked up a few pieces of sushi as well. I wasn’t adventurous so I just got California roll, spicy tuna roll and a vegetable roll. The sushi was OK. The Hibachi is just uncooked ingredients laid out buffet style. You pick stuff, the cook sauté them all together, and puts in on a plate for you. I didn’t have hibachi at this visit. I’ll try it the next time with the family. Overall it was a good experience. The price was fair. Three people, 3 drinks, and 3 desserts it came out to be about $35. Your mileage may vary.

Sanborn Cafe Menu with Prices 48 NE 1st Ave, Boca Raton

Wonderful little breakfast and lunch spot open till 3pm. Family owned, wonderful woman Michelle was running the show solo; got my friends & I three yummy croissant sandwiches. Took a Chicken panini to go and had at rhe ipic during the movie, held up strong. Honestly, classic rustic feel indoors, few tables outside. Beats going to some of the busier spots around for quiet environment. 1st ave has nice park views so its chill. Definitely would go back, menu changes will be happening Michelle says so look forward to seeing what arises.

Alamo Drafthouse Cinema Tempe – Menu with Prices – 1140 E Baseline Rd, Tempe

I received a gift certificate for my birthday to this movie house. I went online to reserve my seat for the next day for “Once Upon A Time In Hollywood.” I registered for their Victory rewards program and went step by step through the reservation process. It said my seat/order was confirmed and that the ticket price and convenience fee had been deducted from my gift card. However, there was a button at the bottom of the page that was grayed out and I thought that was weird so I printed out my ticket. The next day I went to the theater 30 minutes before the movie was slated to start and went to the ticket counter to confirm that what I printed out was the actual ticket. NO. It was not a ticket and someone else had now reserved my selected seat. The cost of the ticket had not been deducted from my gift certificate, so I chose another seat in the same row (only the first 3 rows have the reclining seats). She saw that I qualified for the senior ticket and since I was now buying the ticket at the theater I was able to forgo the convenience fee. These two things saved me $4 for my ticket (but I later learned that it did not count toward a reward in their rewards program). As others have mentioned, the theater is kept very dark, even during the 30 minutes from the time customers are allowed to enter the theater until the time when the movie starts (no one is admitted after the official start time of the movie). One person in my row fell hard down some steps and looked pretty shaken up and possible badly hurt. The no phone and no talking rule does not seem well enforced and it is problematic having employees walking between you and the screen to take food orders, deliver food and toward the end of movie to give you your food receipt. The movie video and sound quality was average for first run movies. The selection of films to be shown is a cross between an art film theater and a standard theater. There is a bar in the lobby and alcohol can be purchased in the theater. I had the Greek chicken salad. It was average in taste and size for an entree salad and would cost between $6-$10 at any restaurant in the Valley but costs $12.50 here. I did not buy any of the overpriced beverages. I get it. Movie theaters have always used food concessions as the money maker for their business (just look at what they charge for popcorn), but I now know that I need to eat BEFORE coming for a movie. Parking is very tight and it is a moderate walk to the theater entrance for the mobility impaired. The theater is appropriately air conditioned and the bathrooms and theater itself are very clean. I will use the rest of my gift card, but I think that I actually prefer Cinemark to this quirky theater.

OooWee Art & Gaming Cafe – Menu with Prices – 3501 Paxton St, Harrisburg

I called Ooowee yesterday to ask if they would purchase some Yugioh cards from me. I had 10 movie promo packs of Obelisk the Tormentor from the movie release of Dark Side of the Moon a couple years ago. But when I called they told me that I couldn’t tell them what I had over the phone so I could see if it was even worth it to bring them in. I didn’t even have the chance to tell them that they were movie promos. When I went in to ask if they would buy them, they told me off the bat that they would not take movie promos and then deigned to explain to me what movie promos are – like I don’t know what I’ve brought them.

Hy-Vee Bakery – Menu with Prices – 405 E Nifong Blvd, Columbia

I love Hy-Vee. I love it so much, I’ll go in a blizzard, or during a storm, or in the wee hours in the morning, or whenever I need something. I LOVE wandering through the aisles. I can get lost in the different products, and the general feel of the place. When I’m bummed, I go take a stroll through Hy-Vee, and I feel better immediately. The employees are incredibly friendly, and I’ve found myself in conversation with them more often than not. They know everything about the store, and have made some really great recommendations. They always have some sort of sale going on, which is helpful, and I love that they put up tags on their prices to show you exactly how much it’s on sale for–and they have a health scale they put up too, to show you which foods are good (and not) for you. The Chinese food is to die for. Healthier than a lot of other options, and they almost always have a sale. Our family ‘usual’ is the sesame chicken and the beef and broccoli, but it’s nice to branch out now and then. There have been times that I’ve gone in just for a few egg rolls for lunch (with the sweet and sour sauce). The sushi is great too. They have an awesome organic/gluten-free section too, which is much appreciated. It’s huge, and it’s really well organized. The one time I had an issue with some produce, I brought it back in, and they immediately exchanged it for something better. I appreciated how fast they resolved my problem, and it has never happened again. I’ve been shopping here three years, and it’s the only time I’ve ever had a problem. I’m nearly done at Mizzou, and I’m crushed to realize that wherever I’ll end up, there will be no Hy-Vee. What will I do!? No Chinese! No clean, bright grocery store! No very friendly, helpful employees!

Fleur Cinema & Café – Menu with Prices – 4545 Fleur Dr, Des Moines

My favorite place to go see a movie in Des Moines! They are always getting a good selection of both artsy and mainstream movies, but regardless of what they show you can be assured it’ll be an high quality and entertaining movie. They are clean and well kept. The bathrooms could do with a remodel, some of the lady’s restroom doors have a hard time staying locked, but other than that they are sufficient. The lobby is bright with a variety of places to sit and relax. The consessions offer a good variety. From wine and beer to stams chocolate and your normal movie theater popcorn. They do not overly gauge their prices. If you were a fan of the now closed varsity theater or just looking for something different please check this place out!
