Food was ok, except that fried chicken was dry. Roast beef was great. Trouble arrived with our ice cream. This place is supposed to have freshly made home made ice cream. The butter pecan was sweet but had no butter or pecan flavor and was grainy, like it was melted and refrozen. The peach ice cream had a mild peach flavor but had been put in a cup and left in the freezer uncovered overnight. It was dry and grainy with large chunks of ice. Very bad. Service was great but bad dessert ruins the whole meal. It was a wee bit pricey too, with lunch for two at $37.77. Almost forgot the banana pudding. They forgot the bananas. No bananas but lots of vanilla wafers in a thin gruel of banana flavored stuff with lots of whipped cream so you couldn’t see what was underneath.

Marble Slab Creamery – Menu with Prices – 5555 Whittlesey Blvd Suite 1940, Columbus

So I ordered a BANANA split on waitr from marble slab and once it was delivered to me I took a few bites and realized there were NO BANANAS. Just in case I was missing them, I dumped the whole container out and I was right, there wasnâ??t a single banana. So I called the store and got the manager on the phone where she proceeded to tell me â??no there are bananas in there, the girl who made it has been here for 5 months she knows what sheâ??s doingâ? and kept fighting me on it and kept arguing with me about there being bananas in there when there were CLEARLY NO BANANAS IN THERE. I was super calm the whole time telling her â??Iâ??m sorry but I dumped the whole thing out and there arenâ??t any bananas in hereâ? but I was getting aggravated and frustrated because I never got an apology or a solution, just an argument. Then I told her â??look Iâ??ve ordered banana splits all my life from yâ??all since I was little and I know how you make them and I know yâ??all use a whole banana and split it in half and put it on the sides so thereâ??s no way Iâ??m missing 2 big banana pieces ESPECIALLY after Iâ??ve poured the whole thing outâ? she got quiet because I guess she figured that I knew what I was talking about, that I was a banana split expert, and finally said â??well I donâ??t know what you want me to do about it, do you want free ice cream or something what do you want?â? SUPER RUDE AND ABSOLUTELY MADE ME NEVER WANT TO EVEN CONSIDER MARBLE SLAB EVER AGAIN.

Honey Hut Ice Cream – Menu with Prices – 4674 State Rd, Cleveland

Great, basic ice cream. I do see them trying to get fancy with monthly flavors now, but ehh, stick to the classics. The honey pecan is what they are famous for and it is so amazing. It’s salty and sweet and has crunchy pecans in it. My other favorite is their chocolate peanut butter. They put so much peanut butter ribbon in it. I’m obsessed. Get the two together in a cup and it’s the perfect combo. I also like their cookie sandwiches and ice cream bars (just the vanilla, raspberry not so much). The ice cream bars are ginormous. I only wish they would make them in other flavors like they used to with their coconut ice cream. I think they would be really good with honey pecan too. While I’m talking about things they should bring back they also used to make a monkey business sundae that was my favorite. Hands down the best tasting peanut butter sauce. And I feel confident saying I’ve tried all the ice cream places Cleveland has to offer.

Shabari of Hawaii Inc – Menu with Prices – Honolulu

The banana bread is sooo ono! Moist, delicious with lots of bananas! My husband is very particular about banana bread and loves this one! It’s a keeper!

Daisy Dukes – Menu with Prices – 5209 W Napoleon Ave, Metairie

This restaurant is quiet and small so you could very well pass it by. I’m here to warn you that if you do you are missing out on something wonderful! The first day we went oh, yes the first day our server Alicia greeted us and smiled when I asked what was in the picture that I showed her from Google photos, she said “Oh that’s the Bananas Foster French toast. It’s really good” So of course I went with that and the fried green tomatoes and she smiled again. Completely unprompted she also bought out a French roll and honey butter. It was so good so so good. The honey butter is amazing. Try it on the biscuits ppl. The Bananas Foster French toast should be on their sign. It’s so unique and delicious. It’s literally French bread with a banana Foster puree magically wedged into it somehow and the bananas Foster’s sauce in the bottom of the bowl. I am not the biggest fan of bananas but this was a masterpiece. The fried green tomatoes were the best I’ve ever had as well, insanely flavorful with a light but crunchy fry! Please don’t look at them as footnote because they really do deserve their own praise! Me and hubby were beyond pleased. The migas omelet is also a winner!

Frozen Fruit Co – Menu with Prices – 729 Montana Ave #2, Santa Monica

So obsessed with Frozen Fruit Co lately , but have only ever had it from Truckie in Studio City. I literally need this stuff on the weekly. I’m not the biggest fan of a lot of ice creams and I love vegan everything so Frozen Fruit Co is a dream come true. I’m addicted to the Banana Bread with Almond Butter topping. This is the most satisfying treat around as my other fav vegan yogurt options are both not as close to home. I’ve tried the passion fruit before but lately I feel it’s been a definite second to the banana bread and I don’t even like bananas. Every flavor is just a handful of ingredients which you have to respect when they come out tasting this delish! I have only ever had them when I’ve been out walking or hiking so I haven’t been in a position to buy pints (actually not even certain you can from truckie, I’m probably just wishing you can) because you’ll want to eat this stuff by the pint. I want to try their new secret off menu coffee flavor but they didn’t have it on my most recent visit. Find them in front of Barnes and Noble on Ventura Blvd (perfect while out walking or an after dinner dessert option in the area) if you’re looking for a very yummy plant based ice-cream. You won’t be disappointed even if consuming dairy is more your speed.

Frosty Korner – Menu with Prices – 1701 S Martin Luther King Jr Blvd, Lansing

I’ve been here many times before but I always get the same thing. I get the strawberry shortcake. It’s warm biscuits with sugary strawberries and ice cream. It’s so good. My most recent visit I wanted to try the soft serve. There’s over 25 flavors. Usually an ice cream shop has chocolate and vanilla for soft serve. But here you can choice from butter pecan to peanut butter to black cherry. I got the yellow cake batter soft serve. Yuck!!!! I’ve had this ice cream before at other places and it’s great but not here. I took 2 licks and tossed it.

Pincho Loco Ice Cream – Menu with Prices – 5111, 1918 Perry St, Durham

The Best Ice cream in Durham. Rejoice, Parlour’s stranglehold over the the artisanal ice cream scene in Durham has been broken. I had seen a lot of people on Reddit talking about how Pincho Loco was the best new ice cream place in Durham and low-key kind of amazing. I actually had heard of it even though it’s a relatively new addition to the 9th Street area, a place that i’m near often. Recently my wife and I went for some Ice cream out one evening and had a wonderful experience here and were truly impressed by their flavors and service. Pincho Loco is located just off 9th Street, almost under Cosmic Cantina. It’s a very easy place to miss if you don’t pass that street often. What appears as a very indiscreet location houses one of the Triangles best surprises when it comes to ice cream. Pincho Loco has a wide selection of ice cream and Latina American style desserts. There’s something for everyone, but with an Ice cream place, Ice Cream is the main attraction, and Pincho Loco does not disappoint when it comes to flavors. Upon my recent visit I actually went a little wild and went with their Churro Sundae and my two flavor choices were the honest roasted peanut butter and the salted caramel truffle. The Churros were hot, fluffy and a nice combo with the cold ice cream. The flavors were stellar. I’m a sucker for a salted caramel but this was really something special. The honest roasted peanut butter was also decadent and unlike anything I’ve had in the area. Topped with whipped cream and caramel drizzle. It was perfect for a hot summer’s night. My wife got the Cappuccino crunch and the Tiger’s tale (a twist on butter pecan that taste’s exactly like a Stuckey’s Pecan roll if you know that flavor). All of the ice cream flavors were delicious and unlike those at other local stores. They also had a Tequila flavor (21 and up of course) and also a bubble gum and cotton candy flavors (something I also love seeing on a menu and will get when i’m in the mood). They also have a wide variety of other desserts here from paletas (Mexican popsicles which are amazing!) cakes, horchata, and a wide variety of frozen drinks too. It’s really awesome to have a latin america themed dessert place. there’s pretty much something for everyone here. Pincho Loco is a fantastic addition to the Durham dessert scene, and something that compliments 9th Street very well. I loved their ice cream and cant wait to go back. Once again the Bull City reddit knows what’s up and they were right about Pincho Loco. It’s Great! Highly recommended.

Twistee Treat Ocala 2 – Menu with Prices – 7907 SW State Rd 200, Ocala

We have been there multiple times, but this the first time that we had such a bad experience that we wonâ??t EVER go back, we ordered through the drive thru and the manager was having a hard time taking our order, he said I Canâ??t understand you, I asked for a plain hot dog (thinking that they put the condiments on the hot dog) and for ketchup on the side, we also order a banana split, after paying and getting our order I notice there is no ketchup so I asked the guy if the ketchup was inside and he said no, I asked him if I could have some and he asked the manager to pass it to him some, but he scream to him inside thinking that we couldnâ??t hear him â?? THATâ??S NOT PLAINâ? and the other kid said â??I know right â?? which it was Very RUDE, and we also got a rotten banana in our $5 banana split ice cream DISGUSTING!! They need to change their staff and their bananas!

The Lonely Pine Steakhouse – Menu with Prices – 6085 Montgomery Rd, Cincinnati

Want great steaks, a casual atmosphere and prices that won’t break the bank? Then this is your steak place and you should check it out ASAP. We went to dinner around 6 pm on a Friday night. Though they do not take reservations we were able to be seated immediately. The service was great along with an inviting atmosphere. Now let me get to my favorite part… the food! We ordered a 16 oz Cowboy with mushroom and garlic butter, 8 oz Ohio Wagyu fillet, potatoes, seasonal vegetables, bread basket with tallow-butter curd, 1 large scoop of Aglamesis Bros Banana Chip Ice cream and the Triple Citrus Crème Brûlée. Everything tasted fantastic and I couldn’t stop thinking about my Wagyu fillet. I felt like I was flying and in an emotional state of pure bliss!! Only fantastic steaks make me feel this way, so yes, it WAS DELICIOUS! The Cowboy was a flavor bomb, dry aged for 30 days and cooked to perfection. The Ohio Wagyu tasted as expected; tender, lean and wonderful. If you are a garlic or mushroom fan, I recommend to pay the $3 extra dollars for these butters. Definitely worth the calories. As for everything else we tried, they were great. The other big highlight was the ice cream. It tasted like a frozen chocolate banana (one of my favorite desserts). Honestly, this was one of the best scoops of ice cream I have ever tried. If you’ve never tried Aglamesis Bros ice cream, you must order this as dessert. With all of this food, our meal came out to be around $80 dollars per person. However, we splurged on this meal. If you come here and order a side with two steak entrees you can easily lower this cost to around 40-50 dollars per person depending on what you order. The 8 oz Wagu fillet was only $29 dollars! Come here and enjoy yourself without worrying about making this a formal affair, while still being able to enjoy quality food.

Christina’s Homemade Ice Cream – Menu with Prices – 1255 Cambridge St, Cambridge

Came to Christina’s with high expectations based on the reviews I read and what I heard from folks. While they did not live up to the hype, I will still say it was a good ice cream experience. SETTING: The place is not as nice as Toscanini’s or JP Lick’s. Whereas those are modern-looking, this one has definitely seen better years. That’s not to say that it’s a bad thing, I definitely respect a place that has stood the test of time and looks like it (as Christina’s does). Be forewarned that the place smells strongly of spices (I sense a strong hit of turmeric) which is quite different from a typical ice cream shop that smells like, well, ice cream. I didn’t love sitting inside because of that. ICE CREAM: Something that sets this place apart is the unique flavors. One of my favorite desserts of all time is carrot cake and they have a carrot cake flavor (which I of course got). I also tried their chocolate banana as it made me think of a Diana banana. The ice cream was good but not the best I’ve had. I love that the carrot cake has raisins in it which adds textural contrast. It definitely tasted like carrot cake! The chocolate banana ice cream had a very strong banana flavor, I wish it was a bit stronger on the chocolate than it was. Something to be noted is that the value here is better than at the above-mentioned shops so definitely good for some less expensive ice cream. I would love to come back to try some of their more creative flavors like Burnt Sugar (which everyone seems to be raving about).

Northside 10 Menu with Prices 10 E Glebe Rd, Alexandria

Wow! Northside 10 is a 10! Great food, SUPER service, an excellent dining area, and parking too! They also have a bar area with lots of TVs that would be great for watching the game before or after getting a bite to eat. Our server, Rachel, was OUTSTANDING!! When asked for recommendations (she also is a great listener) she was ready to give us the benefit of her knowledge and experience and she was spot on. Great beverage – we had beer and wine – selection, including some excellent local craft beers. For appetizers we had the Mac and Cheese (Wonderful), risotto fritters (excellent), and fried brussel sprouts (not my thing, but everyone else said they were great). I was a little overwhelmed by the appetizers and could have gone home happy and content at that point, but there was more to come. I had a fish and chips special and the fish was SPECIAL! Fresh and cooked right it melted in my mouth and made me happy! The fries were fried, nothing special but I was past caring. Six more meals were delivered and devoured with lots of happy, happy people. Lots of food too! But then Rachel said we had to try dessert. She gave us choices, but we declined until we acquiesced. We only got one dessert, and seven spoons. For dessert we had the Northside Peach Pound Cake and it was gooooood! I was full, but it was worth it. The peach is there but it doesn’t overwhelm. The ice cream and pound cake with the peach are smooth, simple, and worth another trip even without anything else. Rachel was GREAT all evening. She kept drinks filled /replenished, and contributed significantly to a wonderful meal. Ask about the maps of the states and their significance. GO to Northside 10, have a drink, meal, dessert. Treat yourself and friends and family. And check out the Yelp offers 50% of appetizer if you have 2 entrees.

Rose Rock Microcreamery – Menu with Prices – 502 E 3rd St #35, Tulsa

Believe the hype! This small little spot in a hip location was a slam dunk for us as we were passing through Tulsa. Their ice cream is so good! For folks traveling through Tulsa, it’s close to a giant intersection of highways near/in downtown Tulsa. We didn’t think it took too much time to hop back on the highway at all. Ice cream: fresh + flavorful + perfect texture + perfect balance of sweet // creamy. I’m a sucker for banana pudding anything. Their take on banana pudding ice cream was scrumptious! I paired it with a scoop of vanilla and it was crave worthy! They let you sample different flavors “try-before-you-buy” kinda thing, so don’t you can’t blame them if you are disappointed with your flavor selection. I think 2 scoops is the perfect size. Prices are reasonable for what you get. They are constantly rotating flavors and it’s all small batch. Rotating menu means lots of rotating reasons to come back!
