I must admit I was spoiled living so close to Jimbo’s when I first moved to town, but now I truly appreciate the quality they offer. After moving across town, I tried a lot of closer places for crawfish…you know the story “I have a cousin that gets crawfish” or “I swear this place has the best prices”…and every time I’ve wished I had just driven to Jimbo’s. Alas, in my old age, I’ve learned to go with what you know and the people who never waiver on quality. Jimbo’s is locally owned, which is a huge bonus in my book as well as an honestly run place of business. If the crawfish are fragile, they’ll let you know. If they’re small, they’ll let you know. These guys are by far some of the best people to do business with that I can think of….matter of fact, perhaps I shouldn’t be letting the cat out of the bag on this spot…too late now, I guess. Even if you are looking for boiled crawfish or shrimp, Jimbo’s will treat you like family. They are seasoned well and really have that South Louisiana flavor that I’m sure most of you appreciate. Don’t be fooled or be lazy drive to Jimbo’s or just end up looking crazy!!

Cajun Seafood – Menu with Prices – 2707 Granby St #104a, Norfolk

Not the place for crawfish. Originally was really excited to get some crawfish take out, especially for only $5.99 per pound but was really disappointed with the quality. The crawfish looked huge but the tails inside were small and shriveled- as if they were previously frozen then over cooked. For 2 lbs I barely had enough to fill me up and the seasoning wasn’t flavorful and barely coated the crawfish. Would come and try the crab legs next time but definitely recco against getting the crawfish again.

Crawdad’s of Dallas – Menu with Prices – 2701 Fondren Dr, Dallas

Crawdad’s catered our company event and I’d be glad to recommend them to anyone considering Cajun food/crawfish boil as a party theme. They have a great catering menu and there is more than crawfish. We ordered crawfish for 30 and got a really good price per pound. For parties, you need to order 1 week before the event to ensure you get the most recent market price. We opted to get our crawfish cooked and ready to eat although you can hire them to cook the live crawfish at your location. If you get it precooked, it’s much cheaper. The food came in Styrofoam coolers that kept the crawfish hot until serving time. They were medium-large sized crawfish with lots of Cajun seasoning. The new potatoes were super creamy and the corn was so sweet and tasty. Definitely check them out! They’re the only crawfish caterer that will deliver to DFW locations.

LA Crawfish Katy – Menu with Prices – 569 S Mason Rd #102, Katy

Theres soooo many more good crawfish places with better service in the Katy area such as bb’S cafe or yummys crawfish. I only went here because they also offer pho. Their crawfish is not that great and the size is small. During off season they serve frozen crawfish. They also gave me a pretty bad batch of crawfish. I came to la crawfish on mason road on Monday March 11 at 7:30 pm. Nina told me they had 3 lbs of crawfish and double checked with the kitchen and told me I could only order 3lbs because they are sold out. While I’m waiting for my order dan goes to the pregnant lady behind me and tells her they have 3 lbs left. I brought 4 adults and 5 kids with me ready to eat crawfish and so disappointed they begged to go somewhere else. We came from sugar land and memorial city just to come because la crawfish had PhO and crawfish. Since pho shack is run by bad owners we didn’t support their business anymore. Everyone was pretty upset. I asked dan why he didn’t ask if we wanted it because we were at the counter at the cut off when they told us they were out of crawfish we had ten people and they only offered us 3 pounds. I was going to order about 8-10 pounds, and I couldn’t purchase any other food. If I didn’t have 5 kids with us we would have taken our business elsewhere but the kids were already hungry so we were forced to order other food. He responded that he didn’t take my order and at the time they didn’t have more crawfish. I asked him if a crawfish truck went and dropped off 3 pounds, he told me they re weighed their crawfish and found out they had 3 more pounds and only knew the 1 person behind me didn’t get any crawfish. So I was falsely advertised and forced to purchase things like chicken fried rice that no one even ate because we were told there was only 3 more pounds of crawfish. The chicken on the fried rice was like rubber. I didn’t even receive an apology. Nor did he offer more crawfish to me and my party. I refuse to come back to LA crawfish and I will be forced to write a very bad review commenting the bad service, false advertising, bad management and unfair treatment to customers. I asked who the manager was and it was the guy dan so I figured there was no hopes for any kind of apology offers. I’m never coming back and I hope my friends stop coming to LA crawfish. They didn’t even care how pissed off I was I even heard dan telling Nina she’s not getting in trouble for it and laughing about it in the background. I didn’t eat anything because I was afraid they may have done something to my food. Luckily for you guys we still spent over $100 at the establishment because the kids were so hungry and enjoyed the wings.

Lil Kats Seafood – Menu with Prices – 8006 W Metairie Ave, Metairie

I am the self proclaimed ‘Crawfish Queen’ of our household, just ask Matt. I have a serious addiction to these little mudbugs and as a result I’ve tried just about every place that sells boiled crawfish within a 5 mile radius of our home. I’ve got to give it to the guys who run this business, hence the 5 stars!, because they’re serving up some of the most flavorful, well seasoned and largest crawfish in the area and quite possibly in the entire city of New Orleans! I have several places I’ve visited in the past when I’m in the mood for boiled crawfish, but since discovering Lil Kat’s Seafood I have to admit I’ve all but abandoned them. Lil Kat’s is located on W Metairie, in the same strip as Come Back Inn. I’ve been going to Come Back Inn going on eight years now, but have only discovered Lil Kat’s within the past 6 months. All I think nowadays is WHY did it take me so long to try this hidden gem!?! I may never know the answer to that question- but I have seen the light that is Lil Kat’s and it draws me in like a mosquito in the night every single time the word crawfish crosses my mind, which to be completely honest is pretty much every other day. Like Teneha B. said, I now try to find any excuse to sneak over here to grab a few pounds of their amazing crawfish! However a word to the wise- if it’s a holiday weekend you may want to do some planning in advance because they have been known to run out of crawfish (boiled and live) towards the end of the day. I’ve never had an issue when I stop by around lunch time, but I stopped by last weekend around 5pm to grab a few pounds for dinner and they had already run out and another small batch wouldn’t be ready for another hour. I damn near lost it, and wandered around aimlessly like a drifter- because like I said before, I have all but abandoned my previous crawfish suppliers. No one’s boiling them like Lil Kat’s! So instead of getting boiled crawfish from somewhere else only to be extremely disappointed, I just opted for something else entirely and went for Dungeness crab which worked out quite nicely. Needless to say that as I write this review, I have yet to get my weekly crawfish fix so I will certainly be making up for that this coming weekend! Lil Kat’s is DEFINITELY worth the trip from wherever you are coming from, be it Baton Rouge or the West Bank. I will advise that they don’t have anywhere for you to sit and eat inside/or outside of the restaurant, so plan accordingly. If you don’t live nearby, maybe bring a big blanket and head out to Lafreniere Park for a picnic. No matter where you decide to eat them, just get on over there and try them!

Tom’s Seafood Menu with Prices 6025 Greenwell St, Baton Rouge

Another stop via the recommendation of friends who used to frequent the establishment during her college years. The store had two lines to purchase plates of cooked seafood and BBQ as well as a fish/crawfish market which people were hauling the crawfish out by the bag full. Here, we tried fried shrimp, catfish, boudin poppers (crawfish/shrimp and regular). The crawfish/shrimp ones were good and seasoned nicely! The fried shrimp and catfish plates were good and had just the right amount of seasoning with two sides. Establishment was visited by what seemed to be locals and people passing through which is always a good sign! I’d definitely visit again when back in the Baton Rouge area!

Wassi’s Meat Market – Menu with Prices – 830 N Wickham Rd #10, Melbourne

I have been doing business with Wassi’s Meat Market for 4 years. There is another well known meat market in town and I used them for a year until I stumbled upon Wassi’s. Wassi’s simply has higher quality meat than other markets Let me ask you, the reader of this review something. Do you like top quality meat that is some of the best you can buy at a great price? Of course you do! But do you prefer to do business with people that will become just another vendor you do business with or do you, like myself prefer to do business with nice people, people that genuinely like you, care that you are happy with your purchase and always have a smile on their face? Wassi’s is family owned and they are truly some of the nicest people you will ever meet. You can also buy a Big Green Egg from them and they throw in a good deal of meat when you buy one so you are already saving money! This is a AAA+ business in Melbourne and one you can build a long and happy relationship with like hundreds of families in Melbourne and the surrounding area have. But best yet is not being their customer but their friend.

Cooney’s Crawfish – Menu with Prices – 4535 Moss St, Lafayette

We have been ordering from Cooneyâ??s since they opened on Moss St. Crawfish and shrimp are delicious. Everyone is very friendly and courteous. When I placed my order for 3 sacks of crawfish to take to El Paso to boil for our son and some of his Army buddies, I asked about transporting them for 15 hours in order to keep them alive by the time we got there. We picked up our crawfish yesterday, prepared with ice and towels and met Mr Brown. He personally knows one of the soldiers we are feeding today from Crowley. Mr Brown would not let me pay for the crawfish and asked that we thank each one for their service. My heart is so full. Thank you Cooneyâ??s for supporting our troops!

P & L Seafood – Menu with Prices – 2200 Fairway Dr, Mobile

Even though this place is located in a sketchy part of Mobile, I would DEFINITELY recommend you come here. I haven’t had crawfish in years and after trying some not so fantastic seafood places, I was told to go here from a friend. At first I saw the location and didn’t really want to go in… but I’m glad I did! The owners are Vietnamese, so you KNOW they know how to cook! The prices are cheap and totally worth every penny! I went to Mudbugs and compared it to P & L’s but let me tell you, Mudbugs is NOT worth the wait. This place took me less than 2 minutes to go in and out. The crawfish is fresh and spicy, and hardly had any old or even small crawfish (unlike Mudbugs). After coming here a dozen times I feel horrible going to any other crawfish places. GO HERE! IT’S AMAZING!!!

Fusion Lounge – Menu with Prices – 6915 Dixie Rd #4, Mississauga

My boyfriend & I have been regulars at fusion for quite sometime now, the staff is amazing. The service is even better. Ive been to the other sisha lounge in brampton just to see the difference and fusion was by far a better option, heck we left after 30 minutes & went to fusion instead. I was there about 2 weeks ago now & when we went to get up and pay I literally fainted and fell to the ground. The staff was awesome, the owner sat with me ans explained that it was ok and its happened before because of course I was embrassed. As soon as I woke up theyre was a pop in my face and the owner did not let us leave until he felt like I would be okay and I just wanted to give a huge thank you to the owner and the staff at fusion lounge for theyre outstanding service everytime. This is always my go to spot to hang out with friends. 10/10 recommended

Chuck Wagon Crawfish – Menu with Prices – 8696 Youree Dr, Shreveport

Worst crawfish I have ever had. They taste like they were boiled with lemons and then after being cooked had seasoning dumped on them. I LOVE spicy food, but these are not “spicy” they are unpleasantly over-seasoned. I literally had six crawfish and had to stop. My lips HURT, and my upper lip is sweating. The heat is topical, and does not permeate to the actual crawfish tail. Not juicy at all; you’re sucking air if you go after the head. Claw meat minimal despite good sized crawfish; however, they also seemed to have been beat to hell and back. This is likely a result of when (I observed while waiting) they are dry seasoning after the boil and stirring…in a cooler. Side note, it wouldn’t hurt to see one or any of the employees smile.

Cajun Meat Co – Menu with Prices – 2211 Roswell Rd #150, Marietta

If you’re looking for authentic Louisiana meats and as well as crawfish boiled and live…this is the place! We just recently moved to the Atlanta area from Louisiana and miss Louisiana food and we have searched everywhere and nothing comes close to this place. They have a nice selection of Louisiana meats and seasonings. The owners are very nice too and from Louisiana. They love helping their customers. We ordered 15 pounds of crawfish from them and they were HUGE and AFFORDABLE. A lot of people in Atlanta like to charge $7-$10 a pound for crawfish and Louisiana natives know better than that. Their prices are just like back home!

BON TEMPS GRILL – Menu with Prices – 1312 Verot School Rd, Lafayette

We visited Bon Temps Grill about a month ago. We arrived for a very late lunch (about 3:30 pm) and one of the servers opened the door for us to welcome us. We were immediately seated near the only other couple dining. (More on them later)! Our server was very helpful and recommended the meatloaf and crawfish pie. I did get the crawfish pie and grits, but my husband got something else that wasn’t memorable. However the crawfish pie was something to remember! It was full of crawfish and seasoned to perfection. The crust was so light and flaky I thought it might fly off the bowl. The meal was so yummy that two weeks later I went back alone to order the same thing. Again the pie was perfect. I had leftovers this time and our server boxed it up for me. The other couple was totally enjoying the alcoholic drinks. They were not obnoxious or over doing it, but just kept mentioning how good their drinks were and the drink specials. This is one local restaurant you don’t want to miss.
