One bowl was merely an OK Bowl Another was gross, a No Way Bowl But when down in Gainesville My sharp hunger pains will Keep bringing me back to Pokebowl! It’s yummy, for your information And the drinks provide perfect hydration Their Boba is perfect Like L’Oreal, it’s Worth It So get straight down to Pokebowl Station! My notes said: Amazing Boba shop with some of the best Boba in town, the BSMT was insane and she made it off menu for me exactly how I wanted it – perfect. Within walking distance of a Boba shop owned by friends of mine is this larger, roomier, more cozy and just-as-delicious boba palace, which also has excellent Poke, and prices are very reasonable for the droves of college students that come by and near here (and the smart ones come in). I also absolutely love the decor here. It’s huge with lots of cozy corners and lots of cute stuff. They have some of the friendliest service in town and some really nice friendly and cute customers and some of the best products in a town that is somewhat lacking good Boba products (although not by Florida standards, by which it’s a pretty decent Boba town). So this is not only five stars but one of my top recommendations for the whole town. I’ll definitely bring the sexy dominatrix girl here and I’ll definitely be back whenever in Gainesville, or even when in Lossesville. Florida, despite my frustration Has the worst Boba in the nation But Gainesville has a few That I will return to And one of those is Pokebowl Station!

Italian Gator Pizza – Menu with Prices – 1728 W University Ave, Gainesville

I once met a really cute waiter And damn how I wanted to date her I took her out for pizza But every boy that meets her She bats her lashes and says “see you later” So I needed something to bait her She said FL Pizza can frustrate her So I took her to Gainesville Which she now calls Amazeville Cuz of slices from Italian Gator! Someone wanted me to hang out in the Swamp with them. I was like, nah, See you later, I’m at Gator. When Italia something, you better listen, and Italia, this is damn good pizza. I hope you listen to what Italia. When you meet me, your Gaydar may go off, but personally, my Gator goes off when I get near this excellent late night Gainesville FL pizza. So this is very tasty pizza, and I enjoyed every bite. Better still, it’s open til 3am, “manned” by the cute girl with lots of tats who was getting harrassed by a drunk guy (so I told him to GTFO and I think she was slightly grateful, but told me that she has to deal with this kind of thing almost constantly on weekend nights)…. annnnyway, what kinda pizza do you expect late at night in a Florida college town? I mean FL pizza sucks……. but this one is great! Not world class… but then neither was your Uncle in my bedroom last night. If it was in New York or New Jersey or Buffalo or Detroit then I certainly wouldn’t be able to give it five stars, obviously those places are home to the best pizza in the world, but if we’re talking about Florida – and there’s a lot of really bad Pizza down here – and this is actually really good pizza, so between this and a wonderful girl working here, and the crap that she has to put up with (drunks and abusive and harassing people), then there’s no chance in the world I would not give it a five. It’s not even too overpriced either. And if you’re wondering what to get your gf for dinner… Gator one of these slices. Done with this review now. See you later, Italian Gator.

Tea Cup Boba House Menu with Prices 1725 E Riverside Dr Unit B, Austin

We were pumped to hear that there was a new boba spot in South ATX! But it’s not the boba spot for this yelper, sadly. After some dinner across the street, a few of us stopped by. Tea cup is located in the same plaza as the gas station and a new donut shop apparently. Parking is limited, but we were able to find a spot right outside their storefront in the gas station. It was later in the evening, so I opted for the watermelon tea drink since it was non-caffeinated. Their tapioca boba pearls were way too soft and didn’t have a chewy QQ texture. I also requested 0% sweetness (as I usually do, yes I’m crazy) and the watermelon drink was too sweet for my taste. I asked which fruit teas were made with real fruit, and this one was the only one. They also said that the taro was powdered. So that just limited my selection easily. Service was friendly, and the folks working deserve 5 stars. I do love that they have strong wifi and an assortment of seats for people to sit in and play board games. They also have a one-stall restroom for customers, but it wasn’t entirely checked on for items (like toilet paper) that was completely out. Evidently, the prime reason for a boba shop itself should be the boba. I would dare say that I will continue to drive farther up north for better boba. Thanks for the taste test, Tea Cup. Good luck!

Lollicup Tea Zone – Menu with Prices – 1550 E H St #H, Chula Vista

My go to boba place even though there’s a boba place across the street from me! The boba here is always nicely chewy and sweet. Usually, when you get boba late at night or close to closing, a shop’s boba is hard and VERY unappealing. But fear not, this boba shop has fresh boba even to the very end of the day. The drinks are blended to perfection. Drinks are not too sweet– if you’d like a modification on sweetness, just let a worker know! The shop is pretty spacious. However, if you go right after one of the schools get out, chances are you’ll be around a lot of middle/high schoolers. If you do catch yourself in this time, don’t worry because the line goes by pretty fast and your drinks come in a timely manner. The owners are amazing and friendly as always. Today, I went to the shop to get a friend a gift. I got a Taro slush with boba, bag of Sour Patch kids, and a gift certificate. The owner offered to put the bag of candy and gift certificate in a boba cup and seal it! It was super cute! To overlook this place would be a crime. It’s not the trendiest looking place, but it is the tastiest.

Poke Boba House – Menu with Prices – 510 S 13th St, Omaha

I’m excited that there’s finally poke in Omaha, and another option for boba. I hope that many more places open up to increase options. That being said, I’m being generous with 4 stars here because I want these places to succeed. However, if I’m comparing this place to somewhere in CA, then it’d be ranked at 3 stars. I got a 2 scoop bowl with rice, tuna, salmon and lots of toppings. Also a Thai tea boba. The food and boba were all pretty good, but nothing was great. The fish was fine, and toppings were all good. However, the employee squeezed way too much sauce onto the bowl, so the rice was saturated with it, which overwhelmed the overall flavor. Definitely monitor how much they sqeeze and let them know to stop when you want. The Thai tea was ok, and the boba itself was good. But here, just like most boba places in Omaha, they don’t have enough tea flavor in the drink. It’s too weak for me, but that’s really an issue with most places in town. Finally, I do feel like this place is a bit overpriced for the amount of food you get. It’s the only option downtown for poke, so that may play into it. Overall though, it’s an enjoyable experience and you should check it out.

Meetcha Bubble Tea Cafe – Menu with Prices – 5960 W Parker Rd #294, Plano

Pleased to Meetcha! Hope you guessed my name! This is a really cute little bubble tea shop with a super friendly owner. They have never been really busy on any of the occasions that we have been in here. Their bubble tea is good. Definitely not great, but we have to explore them a little more so that maybe we will find some drinks that are truly spectacular and worthy of the five star rating that the nice little cozy shop and wonderful owner are clearly worthy of. From what we’ve had so far, I’d probably give these drinks 4 stars to be honest, but since the woman was so friendly, it’s a little local place, Dallas Boba standards are nowhere near those of Cali, NYC, and Houston, and (as you can see) because we had such a nice time in here with Barbie’s sparkly yellow shoes, then I lean towards five stars. But more than that, I lean towards Barbie. Always. And if your Daddy has a belt buckle, he might BEAT YA And if your Brother works as a Doorman, he might GREET YA And if he’s a restaurant host, he might SEAT YA But if you want Boba, then you should go to MEETCHA And Barbie dates lots of boys, so date her and she’ll CHEAT YA And if you’re jelly and you come at her on Social MEDIA Or if you get too thirsty then she’ll just DELETE YA But if you want a yummy Boba, get yourself to MEETCHA And if you’re funny like John Oliver then she might TWEET YA And if you end up dating her, I know she’ll be DISCRETE YAH And I know how she likes it, just pump like a dance BEAT YAH And when you’re done I’ll Meetcha for a Boba Tea at MEETCHA And if you have no money, then she’ll tease you with her FEET YAH And if you have enough then she’ll give you lots of TREATS YAH And if you have a ton of money, then she might EXCRETE YAH And you’ll love it more than the drinks you had at MEETCHA WHAT (And one of these days I’ll make sure she gets ELITE, YAH)

Boru Boru – Sushi Burrito + Poke + Bowl – Menu with Prices – 1861 W Tennessee St Unit 290, Tallahassee

This place? Astonishing. The service? Amazing. The food? Show-stopping. The boba/tea? Spectacular. This place amazes me everytime I go!! Everytime I go to Tallahassee I go to Boru Boru for boba! Now, if you’re looking for boba at a relative price, go to Pong’s- but if you’re looking for good boba, go here! The specialty boba is everything!! For 6 dollars? Amazing. Boba can be very pricey and this place does not disappoint! Plus, they ALWAYS have discounts!! The store is CUTE, the vibe is unreal. They have this book in the front of the store, where you order, and they’ll have questions for their costumers and it makes me feel at home and cozy! The staff is amazing and so helpful! They KNOW whats going on, and they KNOW the food is good! Speaking of food, their ramen is to DIE FOR! Everytime I wanted ramen in Tallahassee, I would go to Primetime, but this place is cheaper AND better!! It has so much in it and it will feed two!! (Or one if you’re THAT hungry- or if you don’t want to share!!) The only thing that I don’t like is: their plants don’t get enough sunlight! (As a plant LOVER that bothers me) but overall, this place is a MUST!

My Cottage Garden – Menu with Prices – 327 N Kentucky Ave, Lakeland

My new, all time favorite place. One of the best hidden gems of Lakeland – maybe even in all of Florida. The atmosphere is unique and absolutely sweet. The teas rank in high caliber. The selection of loose leafs is grand. Prices are even more amazing, especially for the quality. The owner is the sweetest, you will not regret a visit. The quality of the tea, shop and products don’t even compare to the quality of the owner herself. She is the best. The hours are specific – but you are able to book appointments for parties or simply grabbing a cup of tea + freshly made scones with a friend if you call a day ahead. This gem also has 2 cute tabby cats the come in and out, adorable. There is genuine passion that drives this place. Must check it out. * Does have parking lot

The Spice & Tea Exchange of Sarasota – Menu with Prices – 345 St Armands Cir, Sarasota

Yes, this shop definitely aims at ‘creating and sharing the experience of a more flavorful life’. This is the quote from their Mission. I read it on their shopping bag.I’ve been to several Spice & Tea Exchange shops in Florida lately. This one, at St Armands Circle is very nice, too – selection of products is ample. The display of both teas and spices is superb.I did try one of their free samples – cold, refreshing tea. I also bought a 1 oz Blood-Orange Smoothie Herbal Tea, and it is as excellent as it’s price of $6.89 (for one ounce). What I especially admire at this shop and in its products – they even give instructions (in this case, on that tiny, 1 oz. bag), how to steep a proper cup of tea. Wonderful! The service in this shop was impeccable – very attentive, cordial and personable. Thank you very much.

Tira Tea House – Menu with Prices – 8942 Garden Grove Blvd # 111, Garden Grove

SERVICE: The service is what distinguishes this boba place from all other places. The cashier (I’m sorry, I don’t remember your name, but I love your ear piercings!) was extremely friendly and upbeat. She offered to customize and fix our drink if it wasn’t to our taste. DRINK: The drink was DELICIOUS! I ordered the “Fruitea Pebbles” drink, an enticing mixture of earl gray milk tea and strawberry syrup. I enjoyed it at 100% sweetness with soft, warm and fresh boba. It truly tasted like leftover milk from a bowl of fruity pebbles. ATMOSPHERE: Very small shop directly adjacent to a Korean bakery. There was surprisingly lots of seating (a bar with 4-5 seats plus two or three tables) for such a small shop. It was very clean. PRICES: The prices were surprisingly reasonable, especially if you check-in on Yelp and get a free topping! I believe I paid $3.75 for my boba, which, these days, is insanely cheap for this level of quality. PARKING: Tira is located in a plaza with plentiful parking. Overall, I enjoyed my experience and wish I didn’t live so far from Garden Grove!

Cross Creek Cafe – Menu with Prices – 4210 NW 97th Blvd, Gainesville

Iâ??ve been eating at the Gators Den for years – every time Iâ??m in Gainesville in business. Itâ??s connected to the Best Western so its very convenient to have so close after a long day of business meetings. Very tasty food (and Iâ??ve tried pretty much everything on their menu). My favourites are the â??smothered chickenâ? and their chilli. The wings are good as well. For desert try the raspberry cheesecake – itâ??s good! The service is actually fantastic! The wait staff are all young – probably college kids – and they are very motivated to ensuring that each customer is happy… it works! I always tip large because the kids that work there try so hard – thatâ??s important.Itâ??s always a pleasure eating at the â??Denâ?? and I recommend it whenever you happen to be in the Gainesville Florida area.

Fruitea Boba – Menu with Prices – 146 S Main St Unit L, Orange

Been trying to watch how much boba tea I’ve been drinking, so for a Friday night was trying to find a place that sells good fruit tea. When I saw the Fruitea Boba sign after driving around the area near Round 1, I thought it would be perfect to quench my tea craving while also staying “healthy.” Big mistake. It sucks because the decor and interior is cute and the owner (I think) is very kind. Giving out samples to people and just a very nice person. However, I am very disappointed in the quality and taste of their fruit teas. Which is ironic because with this name for a tea shop, you would expect them to serve very good fruit teas. We ordered the: -Strawberry Guava: I tasted mostly strawberry with guava as an after taste. The flavor is made from syrup and there is no fresh fruit inside. The tea is brewed very weak so the drink ends up tasting like a Capri sun. -Milk tea (we got the buy two, get one free so decided to add in a milk tea last minute): Watery and again weak tea. Has little to no flavor besides the taste of milk. -Peachy Lychee: This is the one I was most looking forward too. The tea is again weak and not aromatic. There isn’t a strong peach or lychee flavor. Just an overall flavor of syrup. Boba: Their boba is amazing though. The perfect qq texture. Not too hard and not too soft. It is sweetened. If only they had good drinks to pair with their delicious boba. They have an Instagram backdrop area. But the sign is really long so you get photos that either cut off the whole sign or if you get the whole sign in the photo, the composition is awkward. It’s located oddly down the hall near their bathrooms. Overall: Disappointed. I’ve had better fruit tea elsewhere and I think they could benefit by putting actual fruit pieces in their teas. I like the whole Hawaiian/island theme and vibe, but overall not what a boba shop should be prioritizing over the quality of the drinks.

Moo House Cafe – Menu with Prices – 7310 Louetta Rd a120, Spring

How cute is this place?! I mean seriously…it’s like it was made for Instagram. They have a menu, and they have pictures on the wall of drinks that aren’t in the menu (I assumed they were). Lots of fun, “newer” type drinks and foods. I wanted to try the Mexican fries with the hot Cheeto powder on top, but was scared it might be too spicy for my toddler to share, so the kind girl at the register gave me cups of the cheese and cheeto fairy dust to put on my potion of fries and tots. Love that! The fish bowl green apple drink was seriously amazing..not only good looking but great tasting too! My taro coconut boba was super sweet and I didn’t know there was an option to opt for less sugar. You could go to 50% sugar if you wanted to, so it’s good to have that option. I had the coffee drink as well and that was also very tasty although I thought it would be like Vietnamese coffee and it was not it… had a different taste but still good nonetheless. Just don’t expect Vietnamese coffee. They had board games, a cute little area for children and nice, clean bathrooms. I’m always weary of going to boba places or cafes with young children and I’m so happy to know that we are welcome there.
