Eleva Coffee me Elevo ! It elevated my coffee game to new flavory taste. A new coffee restaurant on Grand st, I had to taste it. With so many choices and wide variety of flavors, I went for the daily brew which indeed, the taste was excellent because it was a soft good taste coffee. If you live or work on Grand st. You get $1.00 off your order on every visit. How cool is that? lol. I got extra lucky today, because as I was ordering one of my lovely Customers saw me in there and offered to pay for everything I get. And of course, I said yes and thank you! lolol…. What can I say? I love people and people love me back. ? wink, wink. The lobby area I liked because it has an Aura of serenity which allows people to sit, relax and maybe work?, as I saw a few customers working on their Laptops.

Schuil Coffee Company – Menu with Prices – 3679 29th St SE, Grand Rapids

I have been doing volunteer work in Michigan’s UP and stayed at Grand Rapids on my way back to Texas. I was on my way to Starbuck’s when I noticed the Schuil Coffee sign and stopped in. I’m glad I did, as I had a delicious mocha and bought two pounds of Costa Rican coffee, one for me and one for my friend. Both the mocha and the coffee were terrific. The Costa Rican blend was wonderfully smooth and flavorful. My friend a coffee purist loved it. Back in Grand Rapids this morning and on my way back to Schuil. This will now be part of my itinerary when in Grand Rapids. I now need to get on the mail order list.

Five Senses Coffee House Menu with Prices 6010 S Western St #300, Amarillo

I love the location because I love on the South side of town so all of the other coffee shops are farther away and they’re always packed! I also love their coffee – I’m not a coffee connoisseur but I’m not a fan of the coffee in a lot of the places around town but I love this coffee! They have oat milk (I know it sounds crazy, hear me out!) which I’d never heard of but is creamy and tastes good. I hated having whole milk but skim milk makes it taste watery and almond milk has too strong of a taste. Oat milk is my new go – to and it’s all thanks to this place! The people that work there are also super nice and recognize me as a regular, always making conversation and recommending new drinks to try.

Danny Medina Artistry – Menu with Prices – 133 Kearny St Ste 200, San Francisco

Fist, the whole booking process is very easy and simple. The services are listed for you (which explains what each service will include) and you just choose the one you want and after, you will see the times available. The service itself was amazing! Danny is truly versatile with the different textures of hair he works with from super straight to super curly or even coarse hair (such as my hair). I would honestly say he’s one of the best male hair stylists. For those curious about the process; once you arrive he has you change into a jacket to protect you from the hair. You then sit and he gives you a consultation on exactly how you would want your hair. Next he gives a complimentary above the shoulder massage which was amazing and helps to relax you. After the massage he then begins to style you and work on your head. After he’s finished with his work and you’re satisfied with the length, etc. He then shampoos, rinses and dries you. Danny has really great knowledge of hair products which would go well with your type of hair, he helped me with finding a product which helped out a lot! Lastly he offered a warm towel for my face to help my muscles relax and rehydrate my skin. Once everything is done he will reassure that you love it and are satisfied before he’s completely finished. Overall my whole experience was amazing! (I also want to mention how he knows how to hold a good conversation or if you want to relax he lets you relax as well) I would recommend him to everyone with all different textures of hair because he definitely knows what he’s doing. Thank you Danny!

Alpha Grill Food Truck – Menu with Prices – 3130 S Sheridan Rd, Tulsa

Disclaimer: This is my family working this food truck. Now that we got that out of the way, I can begin with my review/truth. First, I am from Kansas City, MO and if you know anything about our fair town, we pride ourselves on our BBQ- REAL BBQ. NO propane. NO pre-boiling (yes, for some, that’s a thing). NO “oven BBQ.” We like- I’m sorry, let me rephrase, LOVE our BBQ. Ok. Now that that is out of the way, let me tell you about Alpha Grill. I ordered the potato. On it, I had brisket, bacon, and pulled pork. It also came with onion, sour cream and your choice of BBQ sauce. BTW, you can also choose what meats you’d like on it. Anyway, it was DYNAMITE!!!!!!!!!!!! The meat was tender, flavorful and perfectly seasoned. PERFECTLY SEASONED. It had just the right amount of smoke, and just the right amount of rub. All of his sauces are hand made. He doesn’t purchase other’s BBQ sauce and mix them. He’d painstakingly took his time to come up with a well balanced formula. It has just the right amount of heat + sweet + tangy + ABSOLUTE GOODNESS. At the time, he’d had four sauces to choose from, the newest being a whiskey based sauce. Oh my gawsh, SO GOOD! The portion size is enormous! And the price was a steal, a REAL steal. You could probably feed a family of four with $25! This truck is run by a husband, wife and son, and they do an amazing job. They’re friendly, personable, and take constructive criticisms to heart. They want to feed people, and they want those people to taste the love, the care and the time they invest into it. They are most certainly a STRONG 4-star truck, when they begin serving fries, it’ll push them over the edge. (The fifth star, is my bias kicking in, wink, wink) Thank you guys for loving what you do, and doing what you love!!!!!

EVP Coffee University Bay – Menu with Prices – 700 University Bay Dr, Madison

Solid lattes. I’ve tried lattes at many places, and much to my chagrin weak lattes appear at an alarming rate. Not here – when they give you coffee, there’s definitely coffee, both in taste as well as the caffeine you feel afterwards. True, the prices are not the cheapest available, but for what you pay, you’re definitely not going to be skimped on. They also have a good selection of teas, and they have hot chocolate and non-caffeinated beverages and other sundry snacks as well. Finally, I like the cute size of the place, where there’s decent space to study or relax. They open early enough, but it’d be nice if they could remain open an hour or two later, so that people coming back from work might be able to grab something.

The Grand on Main – Menu with Prices – 1621 Main St, Columbia

I’m a fan of The Grand for many reasons: The simple fact that they offer the Beyond Burger on their menu is huge for a non-vegetarian/vegan restaurant and is a delightful alternative to the standard flat veggie patty most restaurants reluctantly offer. The Grand Trio of Dips is mouth-wateringly delicious, especially the pimento cheese. The chili-lime chips are a unique and welcome change from plain tortilla chips. It is also so rare to see waffle fries on a menu that isn’t Chick-fil-A, and The Grand really blow them out of the water. The tap room is a pretty cool concept, and although I am not a beer drinker, the people I was with enjoyed it greatly. You get a wristband that is linked to your tab so you can refill at your own pace and sample by the ounce without waiting on a server. The patio is well-done and super cute also – a nice place to relax! They have trivia on a regular basis and the Disney trivia I went to was great. Despite having about 60 teams playing, it was well-organized. They obviously spent some quality time on coming up with challenging questions, because as a self-proclaimed Disney aficionado, I was stumped on several and ended up coming in third. My only complaints would be that it is often understaffed, leading to long wait times and gaps in attention from the server, and that it is a little cramped at times because of its popularity and small quarters. Overall, I love The Grand and it’s one of my go-to spot when I have people visit from out of town due to the food and beverage quality and general ambiance.

Starbucks North Shore – Menu with Prices – 20 Cherokee Blvd #128, Chattanooga

Starbucks North Shore is by far my favorite coffee shop. The coffee is excellent (consistently fresh). The food is delicious (love the turkey/bacon/cheddar biscuits and everything bagels). The service is OUTSTANDING!!! Leasa is an amazing barista!!! Emma is a superb manager!!! Bekah, Christian, Chase, and Katasha are great!!! The other workers (can’t think of their names at the moment) do a marvelous job. This Starbucks is a really good place to work or relax. And they play a lot of jazz (which I love).

Cousins Italian Deli – Menu with Prices – 7 N 3rd St, Wilmington

This is my go-to lunch spot in Wilmington. They have the best sandwiches in town, a huge variety, fresh ingredients and somewhat reasonable pricing. There’s always a big crowd when I go and the staff work super hard to get things done in an efficient manner. Cousins is located right across Thalian Hall with a tiny little uphill parking lot and street parking nearby. They’re known for their meat packed Italian sandwiches. Every time I visit I try something new but the best sandwich I’ve had so far is, hands down, the Genoa. Their rolls are the smaller, less expensive sandwiches but the regular breads are way better. The pesto aioli is absolutely to die for – anything you order with that in it will blow your mind. In the front they have window bar seating. The back is more of an intimate table seating situation. On the weekends Cousins turns into a full restaurant setting. They serve local coffee and homemake their Italian desserts. They have a set fee multi-course dinner option that all the locals rave about. I have yet to try it and don’t want to totally give away the hidden gem but if you’re reading this *wink wink, look into that! Cute little deli, otherwise, and best sandwich option downtown.

Light House Coffee Menu with Prices 257 Lee Dr, Baton Rouge

Lighthouse coffee is a wonderful coffee shop. From the outside, it looks small; however, it’s pretty big on the inside. There’s plenty of space for people to come and work and to come and hangout. Personally, I love coming here. My laptop can’t connect to the internet, so I get to sit and relax and enjoy a good cup of tea or coffee. I love getting the chai latte here. It’s so good and looks so pretty. The other coffees here are good, too. However, I like a cup of chai much better. My personal favorite time of coming here is during the day when they have the garage door open to the outside. I just love that aesthetic. The wind feels nice, and the smell of the fresh air is amazing. Plus, the sun isn’t directly on you since you’re under the roof. It’s like enjoying the outside without actually being outside. The baristas are nice and provide great conversation. They just like to hangout and have always treated me with kindness and respect. I do have to say that they would like for you to buy a drink if you go and work here. This isn’t a downside, because they always offer great tasting drinks and have monthly specials that change all the time. This place can get packed, so I recommend getting their early or reserving the meeting room that they have ahead of time. Definitely a place to go and try, coming from a guy who doesn’t usually go to coffee shops. Edit: I also hear that the food was delicious. My friend got the prosciutto and toast and liked it. It smelled really good, too.

First Cup Ethiopian Restaurant and cafe – Menu with Prices – 4432 N 19th Ave, Phoenix

I LOVE this place! I accidentally found this place and love it. I asked and the owner spent quite a few minutes explaining the cuisine and coffee and I needed a coffee and now I have a place ON THE WAY TO WORK where I can get a fantastic cup of coffee for just a few dollars. Yeah, I know I can save some $$’s by making it at home but … SHUT UP! Life is for the living and after this great cup of strong and delicious coffee (BTW, If you normally like cream & sugar, taste it without first, you will NOT need those silly distractions.) THIS is what coffee should taste like … strong and sweet (w/o sugar) and strong and bitter and strong and strong. We had a taste of the bread and I love the authentic sour dough brightness and hope to experience the whole meal soon. (Had to go as we just got papusas next door) But, it’s strong coffee and it’s on the way to work and it’s so much better than the chains … and yeah, I’m including Dutch bros AND Dunkin in that. (not going to bring up the national chain that screwed me out of my gift card dollars!) but it rhymes with starbucks and they pissed me off. I hope you open early and I’ll need more soon.

Two Boys Donuts Menu with Prices 6400 Holly Ave NE Suite H, Albuquerque

Whether the donuts are good or not, that is something that I will never know and now don’t even care to know. It seems you only care to serve people that can go in the mornings and those of us that work until the late afternoon do not matter at all. I need multiple hands to be able to count how many times I have gone by there in the afternoon after work only to find a SOLD OUT sign on the door and the place closed. If I recall, that was even the case on the day of your grand opening. The one time you were open when I was there a couple hours before close, there was just a few donuts to choose from. Lousy business etiquette!!! There is no donut shop or a bakery that closes early constantly because they run out. You have been open long enough to know what kind of supply you have and yet you continue to only make enough to get you through what appears to be the time you would rather work to until the time your hours indicate you actually close. Every donut places continues to make donuts and keep a supply so there are always donuts available. You have lost my business as well as friends and family and those that I work with before we have even had an opportunity to taste one. Closing early because you have sold out is acceptable once or even twice considering you are new but it seems to have become a regular several times a week pattern and that is not a good message to give to potential or even existing customers. People will eventually stop coming all together because they will just start thinking “why bother, they will probably just be sold out”. I will continue to get my donuts at Amy’s who ALWAYS have a supply of donuts and who ALWAYS have a supply for those of us that can only go after work.
