I ate here in early July while visiting family (wrote a review that night but it never posted? Curious) We arrived Tuesday morning around 9- there was only two tables with a total of 4 people in the restaurant. The waitress took quite a while to even come over to us ( we let her know we would be sitting outside) She did apologize for taking so long – the real problem here is the food and the prices. This restaurant charges resort pricing for diner style breakfast- the location, the decor nor the food is worth $20 for an omelette. It’s outrageous- but being short on time we ordered. I ordered Eggs Florentine- it was the most disgusting breakfast I have ever had. I have never had food sent back and taken of the bill- this was the first time. The poached egg was freezing cold- the cook must have poached them at an earlier time and then refrigerated to be re-heated. Well the cook forgot and it came out cold, on a bed of cold- hardly cooked spinach, no tomato, on a cold English muffin. To make it worse it was drowning in the most awful and cold hollandaise sauce I have ever had. The waitress was at least nice about removing the item from the bill. I would never return and would direct my local or tourist friends to a number of breakfast places with better prices and MUCH better food.

Pastas Pronto – Menu with Prices – 2419 Coffee Rd, Modesto

My wife and I recently ate dinner here on a Saturday night and were disappointed with their service. We were offered more bread before we got our food and we said yes, then had to ask three times for it because the waiter forgot and so did the other waitress. By the time we actually got the bread we were done eating and our food was cold. We asked for lemons with the water and they forgot that too, and took forever to give us our bill as well. What frustrated us was that the workers in the kitchen were being very loud and our waiter and waitress kept disappearing back into the kitchen. Need to be more focused on keeping customers happy. *Good food gets them the second star.

Gold Standard Cafe – Menu with Prices – 1318 South St, Philadelphia

Took my daughter here for breakfast on the last day of UArts weekend. She is a freshman there. What a great find! The vibe was very nice. Relaxed, friendly. We stayed there for about 15 minutes after paying the bill because it was such a zen-like environment. The service was very prompt and friendly. The food was fantastic! My daughter had the avocado toast with two poached eggs and I had the fried egg sandwich on a Kaiser roll. We also got a side of breakfast potatoes, since we think this separates the good breakfast spots from the fabulous ones. This place was fabulous. Prices were also very reasonable, especially given their location in Center City. My daughter is already planning on introducing her friends to this wonderful place. Highly recommend!

Pineapple Eddie Southern Bistro – Menu with Prices – 1402 W 10th St, Erie

I so wanted to love this place, but I just can’t. The hostess was super friendly, the cocktails were fine. That’s where it all ended. I was disappointed in the rest of the meal, which was Caesar salad, wings, shrimp & grits, and red velvet cake. The salad came out moments after I ordered it, the lettuce seemed slimy and the dressing something off of a store shelf The appetizer wings were so small that I could barely hold them. The tasted good, but were by far the smallest wings I have ever seen Then the implosion happened. I ordered shrimp & grits, and asked the waitress if there are Cajun spices on it. Her response was, it’s a very mild dish so asked if they could make it spicy. WTF – the cook (notice I didn’t say chef) decided to make the sauce with ghost peppers, and sent it out without informing the waitress or me. When I informed the waitress I couldn’t eat the meal she took it back and I could hear her talking to the cook in back. She came back to me and stated that they made the sauce with ghost peppers. Her words were, ” that is not spicy, that is we’re trying to kill you!” Two bottles of water later, an upset stomach, and a mouth still on fire, I ordered a desert And out came this “homemade” red velvet cake. I was hoping for some redemption. A southern themed restaurant, a red velvet cake, maybe this would work itself out. Nope! Another disappointment. In the end, the waitress stated that she knew I was upset with my $19 shrimp & grits and offered to take something off of the bill. I ordered it, even though the cook went overboard, I told her that it was partially my fault and I was OK with my mistake. She came back to the table, handed me the bill and stated, I took care of the shrimp & grits. I felt it not necessary but acceptable since I ate three small bites before I sent it back. Turns out that she took $2.85 off the $19 meal. Why bother? How about hand me the bill and wish me well? It was one of the worst meals I have had in Erie.

El Rincon De Selena Restaurante – Menu with Prices – 6322 5 Mile Centre Park suite #307, Fredericksburg

My husband and I ate here on a Friday night. We were the only people. The restaurant was completely empty. We asked for lemon in our water, but received lime and then our waitress forgot the lime with our one and only refill. Okay, fine. No big deal. We ordered our food and mine arrived first. I waited for my husband to get his order, but he received the wrong dish. We looked at the menu and realized what dish it was and that it was the most expensive one on the menu and the only one that included shrimp. My husband positively detests seafood. We let the waitress know and she said she would check the ticket. When she returned, she said the person who wrote the menu forgot to put that it included shrimp. Uh huh. Apparently, this so-called person got the entire ingredient list wrong because the actual dish didn’t include anything that was listed in the menu. Could it be the chef prepared a different dish or the waitress wrote it down incorrectly? Why yes, yes it could. My husband left hungry and so did I, but we paid our bill in full. Let’s not forget, too there were many misspellings in the menu. Steak isn’t spelled, “stake” for future reference, and how do you misspell jalapeño in a Mexican restaurant?? Not to mention, the food isn’t exactly sitting well. This is what happens when you let your new car pick the restaurant. We won’t be trusting it again.

Pho Original – Menu with Prices – 4747 Flintridge Dr, Colorado Springs

I ordered the veggie pho through Doordash. The food arrived 10 mins earlier than expected.. but when I poured the broth on the noodles, it was very cold, I’d guess refrigerated at how cold it was. I’ve never seen/had pho served cold. It’s usually so hot it could cook the meat that’s served raw. I call the restaurant to see if maybe I’m missing something but the response I was given was “what do you want, you want to come here so we can heat it for you? Just microwave it.” Ordering food to only have to heat myself isn’t why I ordered the food. I’m giving 3 stars because half of my order was great, and the pho eventually after 7-8 mins in the microwave did taste fine. My broccoli and carrots were practically raw though when I’ve normally had them soft and chewable, not crunchy. Not sure what happened with this order but the customer service wasn’t right either. I’ll stick with Pho Luu

Buffalo Wings & Ribs – Menu with Prices – 4636 Coldwater Rd, Fort Wayne

Love Buffalo wings and Ribs. Ive been coming here for years. I live and work in the area so I frequent often (at least 1x every 2 weeks) Lately the food hasnt been great…Ive had cold wings and even been shorted a wing a time or two but never complained because the food was still good. Today was a different story. My order was wrong (sauce) but the waitress caught it before I left. The order was fixed but in the mean time every other waitress was asking the cook to fix an order. When I got back to work (about half a mile drive…maybe 3 min.) My wings were cold (cold, not warm, cold) and one of the orders still didnt have the right sauce (hot instead of medium). Almost every wing had broken bones, which got into the meat and was very unappetizing. Im not looking for a discount or just to complain but u may want to highly consider someone else for you “cook” position. Someone that likes what they do and puts “a little love” into it. Hope u all enjoy your day!

Elsa Cafe and Market – Menu with Prices – 912 N Arthur Ashe Blvd, Richmond

I hope the owners don’t read this, or Elsa they might not like me very much. But in future, I’ll go somewhere Elsa for Ethiopian food. I really enjoyed this Ethiopian food – although not nearly as much as some of the newer Richmond Yelpers suggested I would (I call them the nouveau Rich), and not nearly as much as some of my favorite Ethiopian food in other places. So. I called ahead to make sure they were open and they assured me that they were. The weather was absolutely freezing in Richmond that evening. I had to park a little way away, so I walked about half a minute to get here. I was already cold when I got to the door. They had locked the doors because they had a private thing going on inside – closed to the public – and people were looking at me standing out there, knocking on the door, waiting in the cold – and the owners kept giving me the “closed” signal. That is despite everybody eating inside and despite telling me 10 mins earlier they were open, and would make my order. Needless to say, no order was made for me. I knocked on the door for about 5 minutes and finally she saw me and then told me to wait and then it was another 5 minutes while she “made up my plate”, which consisted of leftovers. I know this because I saw where she was getting them from. Most of it was lukewarm, I was freezing already, no silverware was given, no napkins were given, and it was about half the size of a combo plate from most other Ethiopian places I’ve been to. Despite tasting good, it left a bad taste in my mouth, because it was also 50% more expensive – despite everything. Then they gave me what can only be described as delicious but lukewarm food that seemed like leftovers, and only half filled the container, and charge me full price for it. I took it to go and ate it in my car because they didn’t seem to want me there – and honestly the experience deserves 1 star but since the food tastes so good, I’ll give them 4. And that is very very generous considering the experience that I just described. 1 for the service. 2 for the prices. 1 or 2 for the portions. 4 or 5 for the food.

Barnacle Bill’s Seafood – Menu with Prices – 1526 Main St, Sarasota

We went for a Saturday evening dinner with friends. I was a bit concerned when the link for the website didn’t work; it said that the website was up for sale. The restaurant was pretty empty when we got there a little after 7 pm. We ordered drinks which tasted like they had been watered down. We asked the waitress some questions about the menu – she had to check her responses with the manager. Service was extremely slow; we asked for extra ice and sweetener and had to remind her several times. Two of us ordered just appetizers and soup, the other two had standard dinners, nothing special. After an hour or more of waiting, during which the waitress told us once that the food was almost ready, we went to the manager. She mentioned that it was the waitress’s fault – we think she forgot to put the order in. Once we got the food, it was ok but nothing special. You can’t do much to ruin fried shrimp and scallops. The manager offered to give us a free dessert plate, but none of us wanted dessert. She comped one glass of my husband’s wine. We had been told by the manager that all entrees were 25% off, but the bill did not reflect that, so we had to ask the waitress to redo it. She was not sure which items received the discount and again had to ask. I noticed when I went home that the owner of this restaurant passed away in 2017, and a sister location is now up for sale. I would not bother going to this restaurant – there are lots of others in the area that are much better.

La Coronilla – Menu with Prices – 425 N Eastern Blvd, Montgomery

It was said earlier but it’s true. From the outside this place is on a frontage road off the main road but easily visible. You wouldn’t even notice it if not for being on Yelp. We were there late on a cold and rainy Sunday night. No other diners. Waitress/cook? Was very accommodating though I think her English was limited. We had been thinking about fajitas so we ordered chicken and shrimp. Each plate had a small lettuce salad with tomato’s cucumbers avocado and sour cream. There was also rice a retried beans. Very nice addition. The fajitas themselves were grill with onions tomatoes and peppers. Very different from some chain type places. Delious and very authentic home made taste. Warm Chips and salsa were served prior to meal $10.95 per meal Food and prices made up for the cheap Mexican ambiance. Highly recommend.

Delish Thai – Menu with Prices – 6305 NE Hwy 99, Vancouver

Our favorite thai restaurant was the worst tonight. I didn’t leave a tip at all and I’m not sure if I’ve ever done that. Here is what happened….. we came in to our favorite place…got water and menus and waited. It looked like only one girl was working so we continued to wait and there wasn’t any communication like “sorry for the wait, I’ll be right there”. We waited until an additional waitress showed up to work and noticed us so the menu to order time was about 15-20 mins. Yay! We finally ordered so no harm no fowl….or so we thought but the service actually got worse. I recieved my pineapple fried rice and we waited for my fiance’s pork belly pad thai. About 5 minutes went by so we started eating my food (which was yummy as always). Some more time went by and then we could hear someone ask about the pad thai near the kitchen. We finally asked the waitress (the first one that gave us menus but didnt take our order) and she told us that they were making it now. Why is the pad getting cooked 20 mins after the first? I don’t know. About 10 minutes later the pad thai arrived and most of the pork belly was over cooked like crunchy bacon and at no point did anyone come over to say sorry for the wait or explain what happened or just admit that they forgot to make the pad thai in the beginning. When the bill finally came (we waited awhile for that too) we explained to the waitress (that took our order) that the second dish didn’t come out until nearly 30 minutes after the first and it was ridiculous how she tried to say it just takes longer to cook. What!? We have ordered these dishes before just admit that you messed up. People make mistakes, just own up and show a little customer service.

The Melting Pot – Menu with Prices – 5001 N Kings Hwy #104, Myrtle Beach

I want to start by saying that the 1 star I am giving is not related to the food. The food was very good and more like 4 stars. It was my personal experience and the service that I was unhappy with. My family (7 of us) went for dessert only. The waitress brought over refills of ice water and seltzer and while standing next to me lost her balance of the tray. I have 4 kids. I totally get accidents happen. I was soaked. Top to bottom. Her and the host offered me a few towels, switched out my chair, said a couple quiet sorry’s ( I get she was mortified) in which I replied thank you, it was fine. and we went on with finishing dessert. When the bill came, I was surprised to see there was NOTHING taken off the bill. Not even the seltzer’s that I was wearing. It actually left me speechless and I ended up leaving the restaurant before saying something that probably would have embarressed everyone while my husband paid the bill. Had they taken something off the bill, the waitress would have been tipped on the original bill and we would have left it at that and maybe would have even returned to try again and certainly would recommend it to others. Because of this, I can not recommend it for the sole reason that the customer service is horrible.
