Great place for a bite. Food doesn’t take long to prepare. I usually call in to order for pick up and then head over in around 10 minutes, and it’s ready. Food tastes good!!!! Does NOT give you that overly greasy or heartburn feeling afterwards.

Southern Classic Fried Chicken – Menu with Prices – 9415 Mansfield Rd, Shreveport

This is absolutely the best fried chicken I have ever eaten. Crisp and brown and delicious. Always tastes fresh and made to order. The cars wrap around the building. The prices are fantastic. We love the place. However, the sides suck. No flavor red beans and rice. Limp, greasy french fried potatoes that leave you with heartburn and indigestion. How they can cook the chicken so beautifully and serve awful everything else I will never know. I have asked for the potatoes to be cooked crispy. A bit better, but still causes me to choke and gag after just eating a portion. To me french fries should be crispy and brown, not greasy, limp and white. Is there any way that can be corrected. Please! We would go all the time if they could do everything good. As it is we rarely go. Still though they do a really great business so must be others do like greasy and limp fries. We always get the white meat, but I am plnning to try the strips as I have read good reviews about them. And I am going to ask the workers to please cook the potatoes till brown for me if they will. They are all real friendly and happy and helpful so maybe that is all I need to do. I am so ready for some of that wonderful chicken again.

Walmart Bakery – Menu with Prices – 5521 Arrowhead Pkwy, Sioux Falls

Oh. My. Goodness. I’ll try and keep this short and as sweet as I can. 1st issue: I order groceries online and go to pick it up and I’m told only half of my order came in so I need to go over the list of items I purchased and tell them which ones are missing. Its NEGATIVE BELOW OUT and my phone dies because I have been at work all day so I go home, make a list of all the items im missing, and then call the store and let them know and theyll get it ready for me to pick up the next day. I explain that some of the items im missing are needed for a potluck I was having at work the next day so I would need to pick it up early in the morning before I head to work. The CS agent said that was fine and that all of my things would be waiting for me the next morning. She also said that since it was their error that half of my groceries were missing that it would be refunded back to me. The next morning comes and NO ONE IS AT GROCERY PICKUP. I wait, call SIX TIMES AND LEAVE 5 MESSAGES AND WAS HUNG UP ON ONCE. I sat trying to get a hold of someone for 15 minutes. I finally bang on the door and someone comes out and helps me load my car with the missing items. I ask the manager (who helped me load my groceries) about the refund and she said that they don’t do refunds because of missing grocery orders. K fine. Horrible experience but fine. 2nd issue: Sale going on for small appliances and I naively order a coffee maker and toilet paper to be delivered to the store for pickup. I get an email on Wednesday March 7th telling me my order was ready for pick up and I had until the 15th to get it. I get another email on the 8th reminding me to pick up my order. On the 9th my boyfriends goes to pick up the order and they tell him it will not be ready until 421pm because “someone must have changed the time of the order”. It wasn’t me, it wasn’t him, and I have received emails EVERY DAY since the ORDER CAME IN TELLING ME TO PICK UP MY ORDER. So why isn’t it ready? So this time I wobble in (I have an autoimmune disease that attacks my joints so its hard to walk when I have a flare up) and ask to pick up my order. They tell me my order wont be ready until tomorrow. WHY?! I GOT AN EMAIL SAYING ITS IN THE STORE ON THE 7TH. I GOT ANOTHER EMAIL ON THE 8TH REMINDING ME TO PICK UP MY ORDER . GOT ANOTHER EMAIL ON THE 9TH TELLING ME TO PICK UP MY ORDER. But I go in TWICE and its not there? Seriously? I ask for a manager but they say that there isn’t a manager here at the moment that would be able to assist me. Of course not. So I cancelled my order and bought my stuff somewhere else, which everyone should do because Walmart, especially this one, stinks like a moldy sock submerged in bleu cheese sauce.

L&L Hawaiian Barbecue – Menu with Prices – 960 Sunrise Ave #100, Roseville

Poor customer service experience. Ended up going with a different and much better Hawaiian BBQ place than this one. I had heard great things about this place so I decided to give them my business as I was putting together a staff luncheon and was in need of catering services. When I called they were too busy to talk and the girl on the phone told me she’d have to call me back. When she did the conversation was rushed. Once I had submitted my order she told me they don’t do delivery! She initially told me the earliest they could have my catering order ready would be 11:30am. However, since they didn’t deliver I asked if they could have my order ready by 11 a.m. instead since I would have to drive clear across town to pick it up. She told me she would ask her manager and AGAIN would have to call me back. When she called me she told me that their cooks were not willing to come in 2 hours earlier to prepare my catering order. First of all WHY are you asking them to come in that much earlier when I am only asking for a 30 minute difference in time from what you quoted me?? It made no sense and as I was trying to explain this to her she tells me that she’s just a cashier and that she was going to have her manager talk to me. She puts me on hold and I can hear her asking her manager to speak to me and he responds by telling her to tell me to call their other location on MACK ROAD in SACRAMENTO and that maybe they could help me. So now they wanted me to drive out even further? She gets back on the phone and communicated this to me and I again explain to her that I cannot place my order to that location because it would be too far of a drive for me. She puts me on hold again to get her manager except this time she leaves me on hold for over 5 minutes. I ended up hanging up and they never even called back to give me an update on my order. Luckily I went with a different Hawaiian bbq restaurant with much better service!

Panera Bread – Menu with Prices – 3609 Pelham Rd, Greenville

Unfortunately this location always has long wait times. Despite trying to work ahead and order online, the order still takes an additional 20 minutes past the expected pick up time. More specifically this morning I ordered the Bakers Dozen and Bagel pack (3 cream cheeses). I selected for the bagels to be done ASAP and at checkout I was advised the order would be ready for pickup by 7:32. I thought this was great because that left just under 30 min (27min) for them to prepare my order and have it ready. Upon arrival at 7:28 I noticed my name was not on the screen showing my order being prepared. In an effort to help out I asked the manager working behind the counter if I was at the correct location as I didnt see my name on the order board. She assured me it was the right location and repeated my order to me and said “we are working on it now and will have it right out”. I patiently sat down to wait and the time continued and it was now 5 minutes past my pick up time. 10 minutes after pick up time I know I’m skating on thin ice for making it to work ontime so when I see another manager I let her know the situation and that I had to leave to be at work. She slowly said let me just check one more time for you. As I waited I started to feel myself becoming upset and I font like to be upset. The manager comes back with my bagels and says your cream cheeses are on the way. I am now stuck in traffic 10 minutes late to work, all because I wanted to bring bagels to my class.

Hip Hop Fish & Chicken – Menu with Prices – 1350 Mahan Dr unit f, Tallahassee

I phoned up there today to pick up an order of chicken. They gave me a pick up number and told me it would be ready in 10-15 minutes. I arrived at the drive thru 15 minutes after placing my order. When I drove up to the window, an employee was on the phone. A couple minutes later a second employee went behind the counter from the front. In another 2 minutes a 3rd employee was behind the counter. They were filling napkins, refilling the iced tea and lemonade dispensers, helping the 3 customers I saw inside. I sat at the drive thru window for 10 minutes without ANYONE coming over to open the window. I phoned them. I asked if my order was ready. She went over to the counter where my chicken has been sitting this whole time and said, “Yes, it was ready.” I told her that I was here and sitting at the window. We hung up. I waited 2 more minutes. So I sat at Hip Hop drive thru for 12 minutes with my order waiting on the counter, and no one came over to give me my order and take my money. All this after having phoned them 15 minutes before I got there. It was absolutely not busy. 3 customers. 2 cars in the parking lot. This was a bizarre, rude experience. TERRIBLE customer service. I work with the public and I will tell everyone I know, to steer clear of that place. What a awful way to treat your customers. It really is a shame because I like supporting local businesses. ?

Serda Brewing – Menu with Prices – 600 Government St, Mobile

This was my second time here. First time was just ok, but may have due to the group I was with. Bartender was not overly friendly and, other than a really cool venue, I left unimpressed. This time was completely different. Bartender was excellent. He had the sample cups at the ready when we walked up. Something a brewery like this MUST be ready for. Not only was he ready for us, he was fun and friendly, and offered up tastes based on what kind of beer we liked. This was very important since one of our 3some was not a craft enthusiast. This was a good show in his part and Serda’s. The beer was really good. We selected 3 that met our tastes and enjoy a couple of pints while sitting outside enjoying the nice weather and people watching. It was a great environment and some really good beers. They offer a variety of styles, not just IPAs which seem to be so popular. Sample and find one or two you like. 5 stars, but one suggestion…give away stickers. Some of us collect these and have a “beer wall” showing where we’ve been.

Wing Madness Inc – Menu with Prices – 716 Dixwell Ave, New Haven

Wing Madness? Where do I even begin? I arrived in hopes that being there as soon as the doors opened, it would kill the wait time that folks were complaining about in the review and for the most part, I did not wait long at all. I ordered some fried chicken breasts, fries and even though rolls were on the menu, none were available but I will not ding you for missing rolls for I was here to review your chicken. In a nutshell, if sadness mixed with anger and the ability to feel both cold and alone had a flavor, THAT IS YOUR CHICKEN! It was a very tough bite and the chew was packed full of grease….so tough and greasy chicken? PICK A STRUGGLE!!! I want to give this location a NEGATIVE STAR RATING but be lucky that yelp does NOT have that as an option. You are probably wondering as to my opinion on their fries that I had ordered? DO NOT WONDER….They were soggy and depressed. You know the feeling you get when being flung into the friend zone? YEAH…..Now you know the feeling I had about these old and tired fries! I WILL NOT BE BACK!

Nothing Bundt Cakes – Menu with Prices – 12080 Jefferson Ave Suite 935, Newport News

I went to this store to place an advance order so it would be ready when I came to pick it up. The front person had to repeatedly go in the back to ask questions that I had. Finally she told me that I could place the order today and pay for it but I wouldnâ??t be able to pick the flavors until the day I picked up. I asked why would I place an order in advance and not know what I would be able to get the day of. Finally someone came from the back and got the order straight and asked for the pick up time and flavors. She also told me when asked that the sampler trays had 40-50 pieces each. I retuned the day and time stated thinking Iâ??d walk in give my name and walk out with me order. Not so much!! The front person asked for my info. Went to the back, when she returned she said asked what my order was. I told her and said it was to be ready at a time 15 minutes prior to my arrival. She went to the back again and when she returned said it would be 5 minutes. Then she had the nerve to say to me, â??are you in that much of a hurry?â? I explained to her that yes I was and I wasnâ??t sure why an advanced order and payment was made if the order isnâ??t made until you arrive. 20 minutes later Iâ??m out the door. Once I get home I open the boxes and find there are exactly 36 pieces each. Not the 40-50 as told. Lesson learned – order from a real bakery!!

Liberty Diner – Menu with Prices – Newark Liberty International Airport, Terminal B Gates Level Concourse, Newark

Well, we did actually have a bunch of time to kill so it wasn’t a total nightmare but I can truthfully say that this may be the slowest service I’ve ever received at any full service restaurant EVER. It started off promisingly enough…we were seated in a cute booth and the tunes were a nice accompaniment to the retro diner styling. Our drink orders were taken quickly but that’s when things started to get weird. The adult alcoholic beverages were brought about 12 minutes after ordering and we were told the waters and sodas were coming right up. During the time we were waiting for our server to come back, an additional server stopped by and asked if we wanted to order something to drink. We told him we were waiting for our other drinks and already had a server. A manager stopped by as well and it was clear we were still waiting on our drinks and asked if we were ready to order. We were, but mistakenly thought we’d wait until our server came back with the waters and soda to do so. Eventually she brought the other drinks and took our order for food. 14 minutes after we ordered, the manager came back and ask if two of us would like to order something else because the items we ordered were not prepped. We said we would wait and they were able to get all the meals out together in another 15 minutes. We had to ask for silverware and ketchup and were told they had been busy earlier and had run out and they had to prepare more. Sigh. The food was fine…nothing amazing but certainly acceptable . We indicated we were finished and were told that our server would be back to pick up our plates shortly thereafter but it took about 10 minutes for her to return, clear the plates and give us our check. We went to pay and after we gave our card she realized that the check was incorrect and then went to correct it and brought back a check that was $12 more than the original. Because the payment was done on a mobile device she asked us if we would be tipping and how much. Odd. If an apology had been offered and a free drink or food item had been offered, I probably would be feeling a lot better about this place. I totally get we were at the airport but wow, this was pretty epic in its overall incompetence. Peace.

Gino’s Pizza – Menu with Prices – 1120 Wellington Rd #6, London

I manage a store around the corner from this Gino’s location and when we had food for an event fall through last-minute, we placed a large (100 slice + wings) pizza order with this restaurant on very short notice. When I got to the restaurant to pick up my order, not only was it almost ready within only half an hour, but the poor associate responsible for it somehow managed to do this with only one working oven and right after opening the store for the day. He was very apologetic (when he did not have to be) and told me over and over again how sorry he was that it wasn’t ready to go within the window promised by the call centre (which at the time I thought was unrealistic â?? 100 slices in only 25 minutes immediately after the restaurant opens for the day?). Even while trying to balance my massive order, other delivery order pick-ups, and walk-in customers (he was working alone), he insisted on carrying my pizzas to my car for me. I wish I had caught his name, but this associate definitely deserves recognition from his managers for providing excellent customer service under an unfair amount of pressure. I would definitely recommend this location for delivering in terms of both good food and exceptional service.

Aloha BBQ Grill – Menu with Prices – 9810 Indiana Ave # 800, Lubbock

First of all, we LOVE the food. The price is right and portions very large. HOWEVER, donâ??t waste time calling in an order ahead of time. I called in our order 30 minutes ahead of going to pick it up. After I paid, the very unfriendly woman put it at the END of the line of orders on the counter!!! I asked her why my order was placed at the end and I had called it in 30 minutes ago. She told me because all of the other people were ahead of me!! I waited another 30 minutes before my food was ready. I said, â??Just so I understand, it doesnâ??t help to call ahead?â? She said no. I was fuming, but will eat there again because the food is so delicious. I would suggest for them to put a message on their answering machine that they do not accept phone orders. Iâ??ve never had this happen with any other restaurant! Iâ??m sure they have had people call in orders and never pickup, but if they choose to do business like this, the customer needs to know their order will be placed at the end of the line when they pay, or accept payment over the phone. The lady at the front also needs some lessons on customer service. Itâ??s a good thing they have delicious food; they would have been out of business a long time ago.

Mitchell Delicatessen – Menu with Prices – 1306 McGavock Pk, Nashville

Love the food here. Reubens and French dip are my go to’s but I have tried bites of many others. Good selection of local craft beers and the service is nice. You can sit inside or out. You can order online and pick up in the store. Word of warning though: if you order online they absolutely will not call your name out. In house orders they call your name when the food is done but online you need to go up to the counter and ask. This bit me once when I was in a hurry. Sometimes the wait for food can feel long but that’s because they are usually pretty busy. It has never been overly excessive for me so I go pretty regularly. Highly recommend.
