Stayed here recently while attending a wedding at The Addison. I called a week in advance and spoke with an attendant stressing that I needed an early check in. They were able to get me a room at 2 pm when their check in time is usually 4 pm which was great however the attendant told us only queens were available. When we got to the room assigned, the door was propped open and wasn’t ready from the last visit. We were then given a new room with a king that all of a sudden became available which ended up working out great for us. Day 2 after being gone all day, I came back to our room around 3:30pm which had not yet been made up by housekeeping. I quickly called down to the front desk and they sent up someone to address this. As a Marriott Rewards member I was shocked about both of these experiences, I’m assuming it was just a busy sold out weekend. The property is in a great location, close to shopping, a Starbucks in walking distance, and a short drive to Mizner Park area. The lobby offered complimentary coffee every morning and the lobby was nicely decorated. You can pre- order breakfast to be delivered to your room in the morning. My boyfriend and I do this at every hotel we stay at. At the Renaissance, our breakfast arrived right on time as we selected on our order card and came hot. Nothing beats breakfast in bed! Rooms were spacious and the pillows were super comfortable. Safe and refrigerator located in each room which was great. Overall a good night sleep, friendly staff and service as Marriott hotels consistently provide.

Sheraton Augusta Hotel Menu with Prices 1069 Stevens Creek Rd, Augusta

Sheraton Augusta Hotel My stay was awful. Checked in om Friday night around 10pm so we unpacked and relaxed. Saturday I get up early, eat breakfast down stairs and then went shopping. My kids were sleep at the hotel (resting before competition day) and they get woke up by room service who delivered breakfast to the wrong room. They called me and I immediately called to see why breakfast was delivered to my room. I was first told someone ordered the breakfast from my room. After having to explain it wasn’t my room it was discovered it was their error. That charge was NOT taken off immediately I realized at check out on Sunday. When I got back to the hotel my room key didn’t work so I had to get it reactivated. Got to the room and my kids said housekeeping has knocked twice waking them up asking if we were staying an extra night (despite the do not disturb sign on door and the fact I booked 2 nights). When I returned another maid knocks so I call the front desk to see what the issue was. I was informed that they were not sure why housekeeping keeps knocking but they shouldn’t be and it will be addressed. I leave to take my youngest daughter to competition ( she had to be there early) returned and my key doesn’t work again and China is in the shower. Leave for competition get down stairs and forget my shoes and when my daughter tries to get in the room, guess what? KEY DOESN’T WORK! We return from competition later that evening and now I’m pissed because the key doesn’t work again. That night (Saturday) the air was acting up, it was either too hot or too cold. Sunday morning I was able to sleep in and noticed all the sunlight coming in. I tried to adjust the curtain but notice something was wrong. Pulled the curtains back and the window frame appears to have a lot if water damage and the curtain was arranged to hide this. At check I asked to speak with a manager and the food and beverage manager was sent to assist me. For my horrible stay I was offered 1,000 points towards a membership at the time I wasn’t a part of. Due to the hotel not correcting their error on room service I had to wait about 45 minutes at check out waiting for them to try to correct it. As of this morning I haven’t heard anything from the hotel!! I call customer service and made a complaint on Sunday as well. Call customer service back last night and a the rep was nasty and hung up. I called back and was escalated to a manager who didn’t say a lot of nice things about the Sheraton Brand, however, apparently there is a new Marriott brand she as excited about the 1,000 points the food and beverage supervisor promised at the hotel has not posted either, had the young lady check. DO NOT STAY AT THIS SHERATON, looks nice on the outside but if the water damage was in my room and caused that much damage, Im positive there are alot of rooms and areas in the hotel that are not in good condition but hidden. There could be mold and all kinds of things. BEWARE!

DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Rochester – Menu with Prices – 1111 Jefferson Rd, Rochester

I rarely leave a review and this is my first negative review. When I travel I only stay at Hilton and Marriott brands because I think theyâ??re most reliably of high quality. For that reason, my stay at the DoubleTree in Henrietta was extremely disappointing. Taken in isolation, each of things is probably not terrible. But as the list grew I knew something wasnâ??t right at this hotel. I would not stay here again. 1. I called a few hours before check-in to get my two rooms next to each other. I was put on hold for 10 min before just hanging up and doing it myself on the app. 2. When we arrived the revolving doors were broken. I didnâ??t think anything of this but in hindsight I think it was a sign of issues at this property. 3. There was an extra long check-in at 9pm, long line, one worker, two others just standing around watching. Took at least 15 minutes to get checked in. 4. Room had a broken/missing thermostat on the wall. The wiring was there and exposed but the thermostat was not. 5. The room service breakfast menu that you hang on the door was already used (i.e. written in by prior guests and not replaced). 6. The room had one partial roll of toilet paper. It took two calls by me and one hour to get one sent up. Was told the hotel was busy (Iâ??d call it improperly staffed) and then when they delivered the roll they said the hotel was out of toilet paper. Is that even possible? This is not a 10 room mom and pop. 7. The white comforter on the bed was significantly dirty in several spots. This is easily seen by housekeeping so they clearly just decide not to replace it. 8. One of the lights in bathroom was out. 9. Door to the room would stick and wouldnâ??t close unless you pulled it/pushed it. This is a large hotel. It appears nice in the lobby. The fitness room was nice. But it seems to need improved management and better housekeeping and maintenance. As I said. I wouldnâ??t go back and I wouldnâ??t recommend this place to anyone else. There are plenty of other options.

Redmont Hotel Birmingham, Curio Collection by Hilton Menu with Prices 2101 5th Ave N, Birmingham

I spent a night in a double room with a friend at the Redmont for a girl’s night out over Mother’s Day weekend. Check in was at 3pm and we arrived very shortly after that. Valet up front was very polite, check in was easy, and our room was ready. I unfortunately did not capture any pictures of the room, but it was very nice and clean. The bathroom was very nice with a rain shower head and a large ledge to hold bathtub products. The vanity/sink area was the only area with a mirror and it was quite small, making it difficult for 2 ladies to get ready at the same time, but we made due. We ate dinner close by, calling down to valet to have our car ready when we were downstairs. Everyone was very polite. The rooftop bar was closed off on the exterior deck as it was raining, but there was an area inside where the bartenders were hanging out. Our drinks back at the hotel were awesome and they let us bring our last glass of wine to the room. I’m only giving 4 stars because of what happened the next morning. We admittedly did not fill out the breakfast form the night before, but when we woke up the next morning, all we wanted was a carafe of black coffee. I called at 8am to make the request and at 9am, we still did not have coffee. I called the front desk again and they told me they would check on it. Twenty minutes after that, we finally had coffee in our room, with the attendant delivering the coffee admitting it was never put into the system when I first called. There was also another miscommunication with the front desk when I had requested to have our car ready from valet at 11am so we could make brunch reservations, and the valet admitted that they were not told that and apologized profusely. All in all, our stay was very nice and I would definitely go back. All the staff we communicated with were pleasant and accommodating. I do think there could be some work with the front desk facilitating messages, but while it’s enough to write about, it was not enough to sour the experience. Highly recommend this hotel for a stay in Birmingham!

Lancaster Marriott at Penn Square – Menu with Prices – 25 S Queen St, Lancaster

Disappointed with Marriott is an understatement, especially being a Bride. I should have known from day one to get out of my room block contract; however, I kept thinking it couldn’t be this bad. Unfortunately, it was. I have stayed at Marriotts before and the corporation should look into this one, because they are not worth the brand name. While the re-model is beautiful, the beauty is taken away when you have a family members with a toilet that does not work for 2 days and another family members shower not work as well. Both instances were told to the front desk, and were not fixed! Next, as a married couple you expect to come back from your wedding night to a clean room, unfortunately that was not the case AT ALL! The entire stay I had issues with our room being cleaned, one day it took me speaking to housecleaning (and they still did not show) so then I went to the front desk TWICE and called twice so in all it took 5 times to finally have my room cleaned. Finally, to get home after a terrible headache of a stay at the Marriott, to review my bill and I was over charged a SIGNIFICANT amount. I was able to get a refund, which was appreciated; however, in general a hotel block and stay should never be the most stressful part of your wedding. I would never recommend a bride to have her guest stay here and the more I speak the locals, this is a known issue. However, if you do choose to stay at the Marriott as a bride with a block, stay on top of them with confirming guests rooms and prices, there were many issues there that I cannot even begin to get into. Overall, I am very disappointed with this Marriott.

Aloft Detroit at The David Whitney – Menu with Prices – One Park Ave, Detroit

Gorgeous lobby but I really weird place to visit. Or maybe I just had a bunch of odd things occur during my stay. I arrived around 9pm on a rainy Sunday and I could see Valet inside playing on his phone and there were two cars in the valet cut out with no where else to park. So I parallel parked between the two cars. When I was just about parked another valet guy interrupted the valet on the phone and they both gave me this odd look. Phone valet guy then came out and took my name, not offered to help with bags, just took my name and gave me a ticket. Odd thing #1. I venture into the gorgeous lobby to check in. As Im walking up to the desk two ladies walk away the one with her face literally in the back of the other and they walk to what Im assuming is an office. It made more of a scene than if they both would have walked a normal distance apart. So another lady checked me in. Odd thing #2. So I go up to my room, it is ok. The bed was comfortable! I decide Im going to check out WXYZ bar that is off the lobby. The food is not great, I wouldn’t recommend that. Heading back to the room and Im going to lay it down for the evening. Go to put the deadbolt on and it doesn’t work. Odd thing #3 Im a little handy so I check and see what the issue is, the strike plate is off center with the bolt. If you lift the door up enough you can just get it to bolt. However, its a struggle in the morning to get it to unbolt. I did tell the receptionist in the am upon check out but if you have room 619, check the bolt before you get settled. The am valet guy was way more on the ball than his evening counterpart. The hotel is a good location for visiting Detroit. I didnt use the fitness gym but I did check it out and it is on the nicer end for a hotel.

Courtyard by Marriott Rochester Brighton – Menu with Prices – 33 Corporate Woods Drive, Rochester

Traveled to Rochester with fellow baseball families to watch our sons play against the Rochester baseball team. We choose the courtyard based on reviews, most of us being Marriott reward members and the distance to the college ball field. Staff at check in were delightful. All of the families spent the evening in the new updated lobby after a long day at the field, which was very nice. All good…We really spent no time in our rooms when we checked in. Just to drop our bags. Till the next morning when I awoke to BUGS in the bed with me. Called the front desk right away. They came with housekeeping and stripped the bed, telling me ..no worries, looks like aunts not bed bugs. Like I really care what they were.Left left the infected linens down the hall next to a staff door (to contaminate the rest of the hotel, they were still there when I departed) . After changing and exiting the hotel. The front desk and staff kept there head down and you could tell they were counting the minutes till we left. They did give me a new room the change in,redeemed my Marriott points and offered breakfast. I have Contacted Marriott to let them know of the situation. They were very polite, but just redirected me back to the hotel manager by email. He offered me 2000 thousand additional points where I believe 25000 would have been much more appropriate . At the end of the day,He really dident care. He knows I will never be back. I wish I could share my responses from Marriott and the manager. Very unprofessional. I am contacting the board of health and Mr Marriott. Not because of I dident receive the addition of points. But because I have been in the service industry myself for over 35 years and hold a very high standard for my clients. Being a professional chef,,I have never once had an issue with bugs or the sanitation of my Kitchen publically or privately. This is very personal to me.I have always held myself to a higher standard in my business. I would never jeopardize my clients. They were and are my highest priority. I think Marriot has forgotten this along the way. I have never written a review before.But.. Being a loyal Marriot and Starwood gold and platinum member. I believe it is my duty to write this review for potential guest to be aware of the situation and for fellow award members to think twice before booking a lower level hotel.

Hyatt Centric The Pike Long Beach – Menu with Prices – 285 Bay St, Long Beach

For a short weekend getaway from the triple digit temperatures of the lower desert, we took a two hour drive to the Long Beach coast . Hyatt Centric is a super convenient hotel with a great location at Shoreline L.B. Our room was on the second floor with an ultra-comfy king bed. With the Aircon on super blast, and a comfy bed, our one night stay at the coast was terrific. The room was spacious with a semi-separate sitting area. As mentioned earlier, the bed is super comfy. I really enjoyed the ample shower and well decorated bathroom. The Bee Kind toiletries (shower gel, shampoo, hair conditioner, and lotion) are awesomely scented. There is also a small fridge & Keurig coffee maker in the room -convenient. If you are into the activity of shopping, this place is for you. I am not a shopper, but I did not mind the location at all. A walk in the early morning fog so close to the majestic Queen Mary is refreshing & exhilarating. Nice lobby bar which starts their business at 4pm. I bought a bottle of wine at a local store and forgot to bring a corkscrew with me. The friendly bartender at the lobby bar opened the bottle for me with a smile. The hotel houses a restaurant located at the lobby. Overall, a pleasant stay at this Hyatt property.

Brown Palace Coffee & Tea Co. – Menu with Prices – 321 17th St, Denver

We enjoyed a little staycation at The Brown Palace last night and this morning with the cold snowy weather we wanted a quick breakfast before heading home. We stopped in the little coffee shop which is located just inside the front doors of the hotel and so happy we did. I ordered a cappuccino and croissant. All of the pastries are baked in house and DELISH! Others in my party had the apple pastry, breakfast burrito and a bagel. Thinking you need to get there early as once the pastries are gone, they are gone. I was happy to get the last croissant!!! For a $5 to go burrito my husband said it was pretty good. They were out of bacon ones, so it was just eggs. The coffee was nice and strong and my cappuccino was quite good. There is no seating in the little shop, but we found chairs and a table in the lobby rather than taking the food up to our room. Not sure when we will be lucky enough to stay at the hotel again, but will stop by this coffee place anytime we are down this way.

Form Skybar – Menu with Prices – 705 Olive St, St. Louis

Great addition to StL Nightlife! This rooftop sits at Hotel St Louis, a Marriott Boutique Hotel. Upon entry into the hotel, which is very nicely decorated and has a great bar lobby, proceed to the elevators and select 16 or R. The skybar is an open space with a bar and a variety of seating options to accommodate small or large groups. There were a few tables reserved, which leads me to believe that is an option for reservations. Above the bar are 2 large TVs with sports. Because the space is open, it is very loud, so if you are planning for intimate conversation, this might not be the best spot, stay at the bar in the lobby. Form offers Cocktails and Appetizers for guest. I settled on the Sidecar martini along with Crawfish Nachos and Potato Croquettes. Sidecar tasted great! Well balanced on the flavors, but not weak in the least. @ $12 apiece, these were enjoyable. The Crawfish Nachos are amazing!! I was surprised at how much crawfish was in the mix and very happy with the flavor and thickness of the sauce. Now, the potato Croquettes were not my favorite, they were just ok. Primarily mashed potatoes that have been fried, it felt like something was missing in the mix. My primary challenge with this place was the restrooms located 1 floor down that didn’t appear to be well attended. The ladies room had run out of toilet paper and the hand towels were out too. I ended up calling the front desk to request the bathroom be checked. The music seems like an afterthought as they were streaming Pandora through a standing speaker and please be a little patient with the wait staff and there doesn’t appear to be many on duty. I was happy about the turn time for the food from the kitchen. Overall, a great experience for hanging with friends and I would visit again.

Marriott Kansas City Overland Park – Menu with Prices – 10800 Metcalf Ave, Overland Park

This hotel is one of four Marriotts in the region. Like many Marriott properties of its era (it was built in 1983), it is starting to show its age despite excellent upkeep and design changes over the years. The room configuration of 2 double with a connecting door to a 1K is excellent for families that need some extra space. The property is overall surprisingly quiet, especially considering its adjacency to one of the busiest traffic intersections in the KC metro (back in the 80s, they built these things out of a lot of concrete!)Common areas in the lobby are open, modern, inviting, and airy. The rooms (especially the bathrooms and a severely outdated bathtub) still have a bit of an 80s vibe to them that still shows through the many coats of paint. Hopefully this property will soon get the Marriott â??Modern roomâ? treatment announced in 2016 (the nearby Kansas City Airport and Country Club Plaza Marriott hotels have already received this update) – this update goes beyond a mere visual refresh and makes significant changes to the bathrooms and technology in the rooms. This property does have the digital TV system and a 40â? TV, but no input plugs for your own gear, and outlets to charge your devices are sorely lacking throughout the room. Premium WiFi (free to Bonvoy platinum/titanium, $17.95/day for everyone else) is excellent (30Mbps) but even the basic WiFi will set you back $15/day (probably 10Mbps, per Marriott brand standards) if youâ??re not a Bonvoy member. This property still has a good indoor/outdoor pool and indoor hot tub. Be aware that it must be accessed via stairs from the 2nd floor, they steer pool traffic away from walking through the lobby, so be aware of that if you have mobility challenges that are incompatible with stairs – you can still get to it from the lobby on the main level, however, but they request proper attire when taking that route. If youâ??ve got kids, the fitness center has windows overlooking the pool so you can watch them while you get a workout. Concierge lounge is well maintained and staffed, but if youâ??re used to the M Club at other Marriott hotels, it may seem a little disappointing. Breakfast at the lounge is a step or two above your typical hotel breakfast but not as nice as Marriott hotels where the Bonvoy breakfast benefit is honored by the hotel restaurant (Weekend breakfast is in the restaurant, however, as the lounge closes Fridays at noon and reopens Sunday evening. Staff here is outstanding.

Renaissance Charlotte SouthPark Hotel – Menu with Prices – 5501 Carnegie Blvd, Charlotte

We reserved three rooms this past weekend at the Renaissance Charlotte SouthPark for our family. We were VERY disappointed with our stay at your hotel. 1). No complimentary water bottles in the room. We called downstairs and the front desk clerk was adamant that it was in the refrigerator. No it was not! Spare me the attitude. There were NO bottles in the refrigerator. They said only one bottle is complimentary. After requesting a water bottle the staff delivered two bottles. 10 once water bottles, unbelievable. We then asked the next day for complimentary bottles and they said they have no bottles available. Really? Almost every hotel we stay at no matter where in the world we stay provides several and larger complimentary water bottles. 2). We then found our room very cold. We increased the temperature and after waiting awhile realized there was no change in the room. We called for assistance and the maintenance technician came to do the repair. We had initially planned to take a nap after a long day of travel but that was not possible as the room was freezing and the blower would not turn off. Housekeeping or maintenance ought to monitor problems with the HVAC. 3). The front desk said the WiFi would be complimentary but when we logged on in our rooms it stated there is a $12.95 charge per day. We called down to the front desk and they said do not worry about it because it will be adjusted off of your bill. What kind of free WiFi system is that? It is either free or not free. Don’t make a guest either not use it because it states there will be a charge or call down to the front desk and have the clerk tell you “don’t pay attention to what it says when you log on, it will be adjusted off your bill.” Really? Hard to believe that Marriott operates this way. My other family members in the other hotel rooms mentioned the WiFi was very slow. 4). There was no wastebasket in the bathroom. Every time we had to throw something away we had to leave the bathroom and use the one in the bedroom area. What kind of hotel is this when there is no wastebasket in the bathroom? In summary, had we known that Renaissance Charlotte SouthPark would have so many issues we would not have chosen to stay at your hotel. There were so many options for hotels in Charlotte, unfortunately we chose the wrong one.

Homewood Suites by Hilton Savannah Historic District/Riverfront – Menu with Prices – 611 E River St, Savannah

I initially selected the Marriott riverfront hotel but changed to Homewood and happy I did. For one, same area but a lot cheaper even with the valet parking. They have complimentary breakfast which was so good. The cooks did their thing with breakfast from the display to even seasoning the food well which we don’t get as often. I read a review about the location not being good but I want to challenge that because the location was safe and not “ghetto.” I got a bourbon street vibe. Historic Savannah has an open container law where you can walk around with a drink in a 16 oz plastic cup which I never knew about and learned this past weekend. When we first arrived it was around 10pm. Valet was accommodating but the night hotel staff was not at the front so we had to wait and when she arrived, she wasn’t pleasant at all. The rooms are real nice and cozy but our room was located near the construction so we had to experience the loud metal plates each time a car ran over them which was all day and all night long but we were able to have our rooms changed; not to a similar room and not with a city or riverfront view like I reserved, our view was that of brick BUT we were able to be moved. The RTB!!! What can I say about this. I was not able to experience the live music but I did visit and have a drink up there. It was beautiful, the decor was nice, the drinks were good and the pool is lovely. You have a view of the riverfront from there and the city. Next time I visit Savannah I will definitely stay at this hotel and will experience RTB nightlife. Like I said the area around the hotel is great! We walked just about everywhere. Next tine I will take a ferry tour and city tour. You won’t regret staying here. We were fine paying for valet but I know some ppl aren’t happy with that but it worked out. Overall the hotel is great. The decor in the lobby and the cleanliness of the lobby is great, the room has everything (refrigerator, two burners, dishes, pots, toaster, microwave) it has everything.
