I really wish they had more than one washing machine on the fifth floor. Also, I wish they had quarters at the front desk. It costs 3 dollars for the wash and 3 for the dry. That is almost a roll of quarters in itself. I know the restaurant and bar have to receive money drops, or somebody goes to the bank. I doubt they are hiding all of their profits under one of the mattresses. How hard would it be to request quarters for the customers. When I checked into the hotel, they stated that if there was anything I needed all I had to do is ask. Well I asked for quarters, and they did not get them for us. They literally gave me a look that said, “That’s your problem.” If I really was willing to do anything for the customer, I would have at least gotten the quarters at the next bank drop. I was there for two weeks and they never did. If it was me, I actually would have gone down to the local corner store for the customer.

Hilton Birmingham at UAB Menu with Prices 808 South 20th St S, Birmingham

I had hoped to give this property a higher rating but it dropped due to two things: my shuttle ride experience and managements lack of communication with me regarding this, specifically Lisa Castagna and Andrew Oldham. When I flew into Birmingham at, after picking up my baggage, I called the hotel at 2:26 pm and inquired about where to go to get picked up by the shuttle. The young lady I spoke with told me to wait outside L1; however, it would take approximately 20-25 minutes for the shuttle to arrive. I said that was fine, thanked her and walked to my destination. After 35 minutes and no sign of the shuttle, I called back and was told that the shuttle was in route. I again thanked her and waited. At 3:25 pm (almost an hour later), I saw the Hilton shuttle pull around the corner and drive towards the middle median. I was not told to go to the median so I quickly went over to catch my ride from the curb outside of L1 to the median. I made it just in time as the driver looked over my way and kept on driving. Fortunately he stopped at L2 to pick up several other passengers. When I told him that I was told to go to L1, he said, “you didn’t flag me down so I kept on driving”. I should not have had to flag him down if he was told that a guest was waiting for him at L1. When I arrived at the hotel I expressed my dissatisfaction and asked for the manager. They were not in so they gave me the card of Andrew Oldham. I emailed him that evening and did not receive a response. I had not heard from him by the end of the week so when I checked out, I asked for the GM’s information. Giving him the benefit of the doubt (in case he was out of the office) I gave him 2 weeks for him to respond. When I did not hear back I emailed Lisa Castagna. No response, so I emailed again one month later and still no response. My stay was July 2019 and it is now late September and no reply back. It is an outrage that any customer would be ignored, let alone a Diamond member. NO customer should be ignored. The hotel itself was nice so I really have not complaints about that property itself. I would love to stay at the hotel again as I will be back in Birmingham numerous times for business, but based on the above, I will stay somewhere else.

Spadra33 at Fullerton Marriott – Menu with Prices – 2701 Nutwood Ave, Fullerton

In a million years, I never thought that I would write a negative review about this hotel. My husband and I have stayed at this hotel countless times. We visit family in LA often and have always considered this place as a calm to our hectic travels. Our check in started on Wed, the 8th. Seemingly we checked in with no issues—starting Friday, we began getting alerts from our credit card company about potential fraud/and our credit card being OVER charged. Turns out, it was over 24 attempted charges that the Marriott has made. At the same time, the hotel began calling us—and even locked us out of our room saying that we owe charges of which the bank had already authorized.I don’t know what has changed about this hotel, but the level of disrespect that we have had to endure is blood boiling. It has gotten to the point, where I had to have my bank/credit card company on speaker at the front desk so that the front desk representative could clearly hear the charges that were authorized (which were all charges that fully paid for our hotel stay) including the approval codes. You would think that would be enough, right? Nope, that happened last night. This morning we woke up to a phone call from the front desk—same message ‘our credit card was declined, please come down stairs to pay.’ I spoke with the Director of Rooms, Henry to (once again) try to rectify the issue, the words out of his mouth were that ‘we’re sorry, but we have a lot of fraud and were just trying to protect ourselves.’Wow!!!!!!!!! Wow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I feel like I am in the twilight zone—-First, how would we be ‘frauding’ you when its clear that all of the charges have been authorized? And second, attempting to hold a devoted current customer to pass customers behavior clearly demonstrates your bias. After all of that, Mr. Flores could not explain the error or even why it was happening. He finally took one of the approval codes that the bank provided and used that to settle our bill—and quire frankly we were over charged. He communicated we would get a refund in a few days. We got what I assumed was an apology…the standard ‘I’m sorry but we do get fraud sometime and we needed to make sure we received payment.’ This hotel is just not on their A game…hell, there not even on their D game…..last night after our room lock out debacle, we asked for towels. They never came….20 minutes later I called to ask about the status of our towel request…they said they called housekeeping but would bring them up personally. They literally brought up 7 bath towels….nothing else. We called again, communicated they only brought up bath towels, then got 8 hand towels and 4 more bath towels never received face towels. I was tired and decided that I wasn’t going to fight anymore. I’m now here planning my mother’s funeral and I just want to go home.

Los Almendros Bakery – Menu with Prices – 6604 San Fernando Rd, Glendale

Placed an order to pick up baptism cake at 7am and was there early. I waited until 7am and after 20 more minutes of them stalling the daughter asks if they can drop off the cake later because the cake won’t be done until 1 hour later. I was furious due to me driving so far and paying for the cake upfront weeks before. The daughter stated the cake messed up and they needed to redo the words… When explaining to them how upset I was and how this wasted my time and gas the mother says in her poor English , ” We never told you to come at 7.” Me: “Are you serious?!” I responded with such anger due to my event starting at 9am and no one would of been able to pick up the cake being that it is so far! Why do they even ask what time do I need the cake then? I walked out and they called back 40 minutes later stating they will drop off the cake. I was speechless when I saw the cake. First off the name was misspelled.I thought to myself why did they even bother to try fixing it? It looked so sloppy as if they didn’t even try to fix it. The daughter even stated they use fonts online and print it on rice paper? Check out the picture I will post of the cake. If your thinking of purchasing from them I would think twice and just wait in line at portos. This family owned business is a joke.

I do my best not to complain about much. Just go with the flow. Last night hit the limit for me. I got off work and went to the hotel. I was checked into room 409. As I was getting ready for bed I saw something on the bed I was thinking about getting into. I looked closely and it was a bed bug. I called the front desk to inform them I refused to stay in the hotel. Only because this isn’t the first time I had a problem there. The shower curtains has mold on them and the towels are dirty. Back to the matter at hand. I got downstairs to the desk. The woman name is Sharon, I believe. I showed her the video of the bug running across the bed. She says o I’m sorry I can put you in another room. I said thank you, I don’t feel comfortable staying here tonight. I asked if it was possible for me to be taken back to the train. She said she was unable to because her coworker wasn’t there. I asked about a cab and she said o yea there’s a cab. I never got the number to call. I sat in the corner and called my job, explained everything to them then called my manager. Their manager came and asked if I wanted to stay at a hotel across the way. I said no thank you. She offered a cab. I asked if there was a way someone from the hotel would be able to take me. She told me the other woman (Miki) had gone home. It wasn’t true she had just checked me in. Then she says o she’s still here she must be going home soon. I’ll have a cab called for you. I said thank you and left it alone. Half an hour went by and Miki was still there. I went to ask Sharon instead of me waiting until 12:45 am and my report time for work is at 4:45am can one of them please take me to the train. She says we don’t want to take you to the train that’s why we’re not taking you. That’s why you’re waiting for a cab. We don’t feel like taking you and we told the manager that. I said o…o really. I sat back down and waited. Next thing I know they’re mad because they think I call the job. Which I didn’t see a need to do. Sharon told Miki the cab was there and it was clear I was not wanted there at all. I let Sharon know I didn’t call anyone asking to call the hotel on my be half.

Walmart Bakery – Menu with Prices – 140 Joe B Jackson Pkwy, Murfreesboro

The world of Walmart… The place where we take all your money and treat customers like shit! Ok here we go… I went to Walmart at noted location with my family to get groceries for upcoming week. While proceeding to check out we finally finished with the cashier per scanning and bagging process… After we paid over $130 for our items and I was placing the last bag in the grocery cart… I told cashier to have a nice evening and we (my family) started on our way… I didn’t get two steps from the bagging area of the cashier that I just had checked out from and this guy who works for Walmart as a greeter at front entrance stops me and asked me for my receipt. He said, he had to check any item not in a bag, so I showed him my receipt. The items he was checking for was a crock pot I purchased for my wife however the asshole didn’t even look at the bottled water I had under the bottom of the basket! I asked him did he really think I stole this and I’m right here at the cash register in which I just checked out from with my family! Then, I stated you don’t even trust your own cashiers! He stated, Its my job to check un-bagged items… So, I talked to a manager and she stated he is suppose to check customers at the door while exiting the store like Sam’s does it… Im good with that I told her however, my ass didn’t make it that far which is bullshit! I told her he was lucky my kids was with me… That’s what saved his ass from me getting into it! Old asshole… need to be at home retired!!! Anyway, this store sux. They (some Walmart employees) don’t even trust their own damn cashiers or customers who don’t look like them (you out it together!) I could go deeper with this review but I will let you put color to it of those involved! Peace and love; don’t be a idiot of stereotyping people that don’t look like you! Walmart sux! Take care, Im out…. H

Fresh Italian Pasta – Menu with Prices – 4 Central Terminal Area, Jamaica

This restaurant gets a one star because my omelette was actually good. I will admit it was crowded and there was an overwhelming amount of orders. However the employees continued to dismiss me for over 40 minutes as I tried to inform them my number was skipped. One employee stated to me that it was a lot of orders and everyone was waiting. When I finally got her attention, I told her what number I was she said she did not have that order, and did not know what it was. I explained that I received a notification my order was ready, however when I asked her she stated I had to wait. With attitude stated I need your receipt.I explained that I joined the line to pay after she informed me I had to wait and when she checked the kiosk she saw my order. She explained someone took the omelette because she made it… I was standing there the whole time she made a mistake and clicked on the kiosk she had served my meal. She then went on to make my meal and did not apologize and also did not include what I originally ordered which included home fries. I literally never write reviews but I just need this establishment to teach their employees some customer service. There is a lot of stress and anxiety which many experience with traveling, getting food should not be add on to that. Employees should be trained on how to speak to people. I did not raise my voice or say anything out of line. The employee disregarded me was extremely disrespectful. I also believe the time management of creating meal given that all customers at this establishment are on schedule to fly need to be revised and more efficient.

Kroger Bakery – Menu with Prices – 5050 Rutgers St NW, Roanoke

If I could give negative 10 stars I would. I been a good customer for the three years I lived in this area. I was in this shitty establishment 2 weeks ago at 930 or so. 218 dollar Hobo International purse stolen. Realized it the next morning. Talk to management said I needed a police report. Did so. So continue to shop there. One night I could not get eggs to ring up so the gal “gave them to me” So two nights later I was in this SHITHOLE and was buying 50$ or so of groceries. Had Loyal Customer coupons. I wanted to use 40 cents off eggs. I got a larger amount of eggs but the little cashier woman wanted to be a smart ass and not give me 40 cents off these eggs. But yet the other night I was given the eggs. So the overweight manager whizzes by as I was complaining about my purse being stolen now these Bitches are worried about 40 cents. Fat Mike said he had more important cleanups to worry about bc his ass hit the glass on the end of the row… Good one. I told them off as they needed to be told. Called their local corporate office. Told them how I was treated, bc the spray tan woman manager told me she did not give a shit who I was when I told her pearls were fake. I was beyond livid. So fuck this Kroger. They are always having drama. Overheard somebody was taking a box cutter out to the parking lot over some baby mama drama. Can I just just get my EGGS? Or do I have to hatch an egg? I mean wtf. BJS store which my family is a member of gave me 15$ in coupons one time and I even got 2$ cash back for not using all of them. So yeah their Kroger corporate office awarded me 20$ and 40 cents off the gallon bc their management is terrible. This is the 6 th manager they had in 3 years. Get real. Should have given me the 40 cents off. Dumbos.

Nothing Bundt Cakes Menu with Prices 110 Wolf Rd Unit 2, Albany

Beyond amazing customer service! I love this franchise, but this was the first time I stopped into our local Albany store. It was my birthday and I had signed up online for a free bundtlet, so I stopped in to claim my gift and get one of their product catalogs. As soon as I walked in, not only was I greeted by a wonderful, friendly woman, but she actually stepped out from behind the counter to walk toward me and say “welcome.” It was so nice! We had a good conversation and she was genuinely happy to chat and took the time to answer my questions about how long they’ve been there (1 year) and how business was doing (very good). I explained why I was there and she immediately gave me a brochure and asked me for the email coupon I should have received after I signed up. I told her I didn’t receive an email, so she asked me to sign up again, which I did. I still didn’t get an email. Rather than turn me away, she had me fill out a form that they had right there in the store and then she gave me the freebie anyway! That’s the level of customer service that makes local bakeries like this one-of-a-kind. I will be back MANY times, and not just on my birthday. I chose a lemon bundtlet with their signature frosting. It was moist, flavorful, and big enough to share with my husband. It came in a cute little container, which she put in a bag sealed with their logo sticker. I wanted to buy just about everything in the store, but I had to hold myself back. They have the cutest napkins and a variety of the coolest candles I’ve ever seen. This place hits all the marks for me! They’re living the Nothing Bundt Cakes brand to the highest standards!

Richmond Hotel and Tavern – Menu with Prices – 172 King St, London

I WARN YOU DO NOT GO ANYWHERE NEAR THIS ESTABLISHMENT!! At some point me and a friend needed a hotel to stay at so we decided to stay at the tavern. I wasnt sure who to talk to for a room so i asked the gentleman down stairs. He took our money for one weeks stay and gave each of us a room key. During the night i had to go to the washroom. It was small, dark a dismall, to my horror when looking into the waste basket nearest the toilet … USED SYRINGES IN PLAIN SIGHT! I ran from there to my room again… the nights sleep was ok aside from the music pounding my body… The next morning we woke up to some old man creep pounding at our door. Turns out this was the REAL hotel manager. He basically told us to get our shit and get out. We quickly gathered together our things but not before we went downstairs to confront the original man who turned out to be the bartender. He refused to give me back any of the money claiming that i was being stupid. We ran up to our now unlocked hotel room. My friend couldnt find her cell phone. I told her to look under the pillows and sure enough there it was. She knew she left it on the desk and i saw it there too. Once we retrieved the phone and hotel management caught eye of this he started getting more verbally violent. Shooing us out with swear words calling us name’s as we packed in a hurry When we finally escaped the establishment we ran and couldnt have run fast enough!!! I warn you! Dont drink here. Dont stay here and dont support this place The one night i tried was like a scene out of some horror movie!!keep safe!!!

Mr Antojos Deli & Fruteria – Menu with Prices – 573 H St, Chula Vista

Warning!! Warning!! Please do not go to this place unless you enjoy being overcharged by 10x the original amount! My daughter ordered 2 beverages that totaled $7.45 but her debit card was charged $74.50!! The receipt handed to her read the correct amount, not until she checked her online bank app did she see what she had actually been charged !! She returned and attempted to clear things up but no one there spoke English! Miraculously, when I showed up and began to speak Spanish to the ” manager” Jenny ( the woman in the pictures wearing glasses) she began to speak English! This woman still wanted to charge us for the original amount !! I was beyond appalled !! I stated “This should be free especially, after such a huge error occurred”! Well she didn’t like that and made a face! I told her this is highway robbery and Jenny said ” I didn’t steal from her!” I replied “I never said you did. Did you take her order ? No, so how do you know the intentions of the person who did take her order?!!” Jenny never apologized and began telling us ” Good Bye ! Good Bye! Stop causing problems and then she began discussing our situation with some friend of hers sitting at one of the inside tables. I told her she needed retraining in Customer service and in Management because she was horrible and unprofessional to the fullest!! I would rate this place a big fat ZERO !!

Emery, Autograph Collection – Menu with Prices – 215 S 4th St, Minneapolis

This remodel was only opened 4 days before our arrival according to one of the managers. This appeared to be correct as everything was in very nice condition, from the lobby furnishings and hotel carpeting to the condition of the room. There was a very refreshing and comfortable ambiance to the whole lobby, restaurant and lounging area. The previous bank architecture of marble columns and vaulted ceilings were in contrast to the wooden furniture and see through fireplace in the lounge area. The Spyhouse coffee shop was nestled in the back of the lobby area surrounded by an area five times the size of your local Starbucks with intimate seating areas, the see through fireplace and several cushions throughout. The bar area and restaurant were also very clean and offered an interesting offering of cocktails and wines. Speaking of wines, the manager showed us one of the conference rooms which used to be a vault complete with the original doors with no serves as a wine storage. Only a couple detractors were: 1) the pillows our room. The bed was extremely comfortable; however, the pillows were so thick they gave both of us very stiff necks. In their defense, we did not ask for any other pillows so were not sure if they were available. 2) There was no on site parking, nor reasonable parking service/valet. The cars were parked a block or so away so retrieval took a while (15 minutes calling ahead) and it was expensive (at least by my standards) at $45 a night. Nonetheless, it is located in downtown Minneapolis, close to many attractions, such as U.S. Bank stadium and numerous places to eat. All in all, I did enjoy our stay and would recommend this hotel to anyone.
