This restaurant is in an area that it was much needed in!!! Most of the restaurants on the street are mostly burger and fries joints. This place is still fast food, but it’s Hibachi and Japanese cuisine. I didn’t realize this place was open when it was until I was going to another restaurant on this street and missed the turn and saw they were open and quickly turned in here. I didn’t really know what to except because it was a fairly new business and I never heard of Japanese fast food. The place was immaculately clean when I walked in. This place has a drive thru window but I wanted to see what the inside was like before I checked out the drive thru window. The cashier was very friendly and seems to already enjoy his job. I started with something pretty safe, which was the Hibachi chicken. It came with Hibachi chicken chunks, fried rice, and mixed vegetables. The chicken was very flavorful and cooked very well. The vegetables were good as well. The cook put too much teriyaki sauce on my rice and drowned it. I hate my rice being drowned in anything. I like to taste my rice. The second time I came I order the Hibachi steak. It wasn’t flavorful as the chicken. It seems like they just took it out the freezer with no seasoning and put it on the grill. The cook did follow my instructions this time and not add the teriyaki sauce to my rice. The second time I came, I came during lunchtime on a weekday. I was so surprised how crowded it got. I guess the word has really gotten out about this place. The cashier was very friendly and helped as much as she could. I’m glad to see this business is thriving already and hope that they stay in business a while!!!

Flat Top Hibachi Grill Menu with Prices 2504 Triplett Blvd, Akron

I’ve been meaning to check out Hibachi Xpress for quite some time now. I love me some hibachi food, but it’s a little out of my college student price range to indulge often. Hibachi Xpress seemed like it would fill my needs, with a single entree starting at 12 dollars. For 19 dollars, I got the triple entree. The meal comes with your choice of proteins, fried rice, vegetables, your choice of sauce, and a fortune cookie. I ordered chicken, steak, and shrimp, with yum-yum sauce, and steamed rice instead of fried rice. The food took around 10 minutes to cook, so I just watched the kung fu movie on the TV. The woman working the counter mentioned that the chef threw in a free egg roll, so that was pretty cool. About the food: The chicken, shrimp, and vegetables were cooked well and seasoned perfectly. The egg roll was fried nicely as well. I would definitely pay for the chicken, shrimp, and egg roll again. The steak, rice, and fortune cookie were underwhelming. (I know, I know, a bad fortune cookie? Yeah, it tasted old and was smashed.) The steak tasted like gristle. I could taste that it was a cheap cut. The rice wasn’t cooked properly either, too grainy. It was definitely bland as well. So all things considered, I might pay for a single entree if I’m in a pinch. Otherwise, I’d go to my good old stand-by hibachi place where I get more, better quality food.

Domo Japanese Grill Menu with Prices 1522 N Leg Rd, Augusta

I wanted Hibachi chicken and rice today, so I was on a mission to get just that!!! I didn’t want to go to the mall and get it from there because I knew the mall would be crowded and the line for Sakru would be wrapped around the corner of the business. I remember a friend of mine saying that this place had really good food, so I decided to check this place out. I was pretty impressed with the food and service. This business isn’t anything to look at on the outside or even the inside, but the employees and the food makes up for all of that. I ordered the Hibachi chicken meal. It came with Hibachi chicken, fried rice, and mixed vegetables(broccoli, zucchini, and onions). I asked for them to make the chicken spicy, but it wasn’t spicy at all. I also ordered an egg roll. I got everything to go because I was in a rush today, I normally like to dine in at restaurants I patronize. The food was pretty good!! Even though the chicken wasn’t spicy, it was well seasoned and very juicy. The vegetable weren’t over cooked and soggy. They still had a nice crunch to them. The egg roll was pretty good as well. The employee who took my order was very pleasant, she greeted me and thanked me for coming in so warmly. Dining here today was definitely a hit, I will be back to try more menu items!!!

hibachi express – Menu with Prices – 2051 Henderson Rd, Columbus

Tried it with partner and daughter Saturday evening around 6pm. Only one other couple there but another customer was in parking lot waiting for carryout order. Cons: ALL food is served in styrofoam even if you are eating there. It’s hibachi so it’s fresh but they don’t cook in front of you. You order at a counter and they cook in their kitchen area. So don’t think you are getting a “show” for the kids. Unappealing Christian music so it doesn’t feel like an Asian experience. No knives, no chopsticks, no adult beverages, no white/steamed rice (only “fried” rice but without egg, peas, etc). Their brown sauce in which everything is served is very sweet, not soy tasting at all. Prices are $7-$15 depending on what you order so while some people would say it’s less expensive than other hibachi places it’s actually the same if you were eating lunch at another hibachi place but much less if you were expecting to pay dinner prices at another hibachi place. Pros: clean place, patient, kind staff. Excellent EGG YOLK sauce. You get to choose what veggies you want-BRILLIANT! I probably won’t eat there again simply because the sweet flavor and lack of rice options but my partner liked it more than I did so I say you should give it a shot.

Extreme Teriyaki at Old Milton Menu with Prices 3710 Old Milton Pkwy, Alpharetta

This restaurant had many positive reviews on Yelp, I had to try it! We originally found it on Scoutmob ($5.00 off your meal). I looked up the menu before going there and was surprised to see the prices so low. I started to wonder about the quality of the ingredients they used. When we were looking at the menu inside the restaurant, we noticed the prices were slightly different and higher than what we saw online (but not by much). We started with the Crab Rangoons which were a low price of $1.99 for four pieces. How is it that cheap? They were actually very good! For the main dish, I had the Hibachi Chicken which came with rice (fried or steamed) and a veggie mix (cabbage, carrots, and broccoli). The veggie mix and rice were pretty good but the chicken was not as good. I could barely eat it! The texture tasted like you were eating a chunk of gum. It was processed. I actually ordered the Hibachi Chicken (chicken breast) as opposed to the Teriyaki Chicken (Chicken Thigh) because I thought it would be leaner meat. When the cook put the meat on the grill, it looked normal but I couldn’t chew it. If you’re looking for a snack, for example, spring rolls or crab rangoons, then this would be the place for you. For the price, you can’t beat it. I don’t advise the chicken in the meals though. I was disappointed.

Sunny Hibachi – Menu with Prices – 3840 Dewey Ave, Rochester

First off Sunny Hibachi had the nicest and friendliest staff to meet, greet and take our order. Easy location with plenty of parking. Small restaurant with a few small tables, if you wish to stay there and eat. Now let’s get to the food. Prices are VERY reasonable, but with that unfortunately came the old saying “You get what you paid for…” After reading all the great reviews on Yelp my friend and I thought we’d give Sunny’s a try. We ordered a tons of food, because one, we were starving when we got there and secondly, the prices were really great. Off of the appetizer menu we ordered the Fried Scallops (10) for $3.65 and the Gyoza (6, pork fried dumplings) for $3.50. The scallops were delicious! I thought they would be small given that you get 10 for just $3.65 but that wasn’t the case at all, they were big, fresh, lightly breaded and tender. The Gyoza’s were good but not the best we’ve ever had, and my friend was a little disappointed they didn’t have any hot oil sauce to dip them in. For our lunches we both ordered off the Hibachi menu and shared a little of both with each other. I ordered the Steak and Shrimp ($9.69) and my friend ordered the Chicken ($6.79). I also had the Clear soup ($0.75)- I wouldn’t suggest getting the Clear soup, it was tasteless and just seemed off. When it comes to our hibachi meals- the rice was really flavorful and good. The vegetables were mainly broccoli was a few small pieces of zucchini. Both the chicken and steak were pretty dry and over cooked. Seemed like they may have been made the day before and reheated, which was pretty disappointing, but the portions were very giving. The shrimp was cold and seemed a little undercooked, which was surprising with the chicken and steak being so over cooked. Over all it was nice to try a new place with a great concept of takeout hibachi but I’m not sure I would go back again- maybe for the scallops.

Ninja grill poke & hibachi – Menu with Prices – 9 E Lane Ave, Columbus

Wow. This place is great and just what campus needs. Fairly similar to bibibop but grilled hibachi. As I walked in I was greeted by their friendly staff who gave me the run down. They offer many appetizers and fried rice options but the stars of the show are their build your own hibachi or poke meals. They hand you a slip where you make your own bowl. Pick your appetizers and extras then decide how you want your hibachi or poke. I went with a steak hibachi. I checked off steak, rice as my base, then you get 5 veggies. I chose green beans, cabbage, corn, bean sprout, and carrots. Then you get to pick a sauce for them to mix in, I went with teriyaki. Lastly you get dipping sauce on the side, I went with the sweet n spicy….all I can say is wow. They cook everything to order . It was hot n fresh off the grill. My veggies were perfectly cooked. I dont care for them to be under cooked or raw and they were not. These were outstanding. So good I might even be able to just get a steamed veggie bowl here. The sauce was good too. I dont like my teriyaki too salty or too sweet, ninja grill has the perfect balance. And that sweet n spicy…oh yeah I need a bottle of that because is was the bomb….seriously. Campus has been lacking this type of fast n casual cuisine. I promise you wont be disappointed here. Be adventurous, they have a lot of options and it’s super reasonable. My steak hibachi was a huge portion for only $8.95. Definitely reccomend going to try this place out.

King Falafel And Grill – Menu with Prices – 8875 Foothill Blvd, Rancho Cucamonga

About five weeks ago, we (me, my wife, and her parents) stumbled across this little, family-owned restaurant on our way to watch the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes play some baseball. At that time, it was called “Let’s Falafel and Grill.” (The friendly gentleman that greeted us and cooked for us back then is the same friendly guy that still greets us and cooks for us now.) We have visited Let’s Falafel/King’s Falafel four times now. In about five weeks. That’s quite often, considering that we live in Anaheim! The chicken, the beef, and the lamb kafta kabobs are grilled as you order them, so don’t expect your food to be delivered as fast as a cup of coffee from Starbucks. (We’re normally in no rush, so we don’t mind sitting and talking, but if you order ahead you’ll have no problem.) The meats are moist, tender, and very flavorful. The rice is fluffy and delicious. You’ll love the garlic sauce, the hummus, the cucumber yogurt, the service, and the cost! When a chicken bowl from Flame Broiler (across the street) costs about $9, it’s worth paying the extra dollar at King’s to receive: more (and better tasting) chicken, rice, a salad, grilled (chunky) vegetables, humus, and pita bread! We’ll spend about $50-$55 (for four people) and have enough leftovers for lunch the next day! (Compare that to Flame Broiler: $40 for four chicken bowls with no leftovers.) If you are looking for a great meal, a great price, great service, and want to support a local business… then you need to start dining at King’s Falafel! Seriously. Go now! Why are you still reading this? My review is finished… Get to King’s Falafel NOW!!

Burger King – Menu with Prices – 353 E Brown Rd, Mesa

PLEASE READ!!!!!! ok fast food I know! But I have been to this location six times and all six times have had cold food! Cold! Please look at all of my reviews and know that I am all about positivity. Unfortunately it got to the point that it was More than just cold Food. The second to last time I was there I stood in line in the drive-through at about 9 o’clock at night. There was one car in front of me who was already at the window and I waited about 20 minutes after I had ordered. So being very own confrontational I took the food and waited when I got it I opened each one and stuck my finger in the middle and they were cold. A whopper and a chicken sandwich. So I waited a minute or two when they finally came back to the window I got their attention. When they open the window I had simply stated that both of my sandwiches were cold and I had a feeling it was because of the long wait and without saying anything she took the bag close the window and from what it looks like brought a cook over to talk to her right in front of the window. You can tell he was talking crap. When they open the door to give me the new sandwiches I asked to speak to the manager! She said my name is DESTINY I’m the manager And I don’t believe that your burger and chicken sandwich were cold I felt them. Lol I’m all about customer service so I’m not going to dwell on this just wanted to make a point of how easy it is to make people happy yet some people find it so difficult. DESTINY I really wish you the best and hope you happiness!!!

A & D Buffalo’s – Menu with Prices – 3131 Manchester Expy, Columbus

Everytime my husband and I go to Columbus we have to stop at A&D wings. I love the sauce they put on the chicken. It taste kinda sweet and just so mouth watering. On yesterday 10/7, after a VA appointment I went and I had a taste for some rice. The rice is very bland I tried to put sauce on it it didnt work when i got to Auburn to the house i tried going in my own cabinet to doctor them up. I couldnt . The rice is just too bland they need to start putting sauce in it when the cook it or something. I know I’m a very great cook. The wings are great though.

Sushi Express – Menu with Prices – 142 Park City Center J0301, Lancaster

My hubby and I have come to Shogun about four times but this time we wanted to try the Hibachi table. We invited friends and we all had the best time. Amy was our server again and we will always ask for her in the future. In fact we have made arrangements to attend again but with more family members. I had the Salmon and hubby had the Shrimp. The girls had steak, scallops and salmon. The Hibachi Chef was great and very funny. You start off with soup and salad and I want the recipe for the dressing which is very yummy. The Hibachi Chef then comes over and started making the fried rice and then the vegetables. He then serves that up and then turns his attention on the protein for each of us. First we are served two pieces of shrimp as our appetizer. My salmon was perfect. Of course we had leftovers which will be eaten tonight. You can’t go wrong with anything you order.

J J Fish & Chicken – Menu with Prices – 2314 N Gettysburg Ave, Dayton

The food was very good. However, I ordered a 12 piece of catfish in advance over the phone. I showed up to the window to pick it up. The cashier looked at the cook and “she’s here for the catfish ” in that ‘I told you so’ tone. The cook is standing with a pile of raw catfish. I said: ‘you haven’t even started?!?!’ The cook told me that he had to make sure I was really coming first. So…. what’s the point of calling in? I waited because I was there and wanted fish. It was my first time at this particular J&Js. Not sure if I’ll go back because of this, but we’ll see……

24 Hot Chicken & Waffle Bar – Nashville Hot Chicken Full Bar – Menu with Prices – 1885 Dallas Pkwy, Plano

Run away, run very far away! My fiancée and I always joke and call this location death row because every restaurant that open in this spot always fails. However this place seemed like a good concept and maybe things would turn around… We first enter and there are two groups in front of us, so it takes about 15 mins for us to get to order. We got the Sanday sandwich, the slider, Mac and cheese, fries, and two of their $1 craft beers. The cashier for some reason kept us waiting to take our order, then proceeded to take our order from our side of the counter, I thought hmm this is weird but whatever. There was also only two people working…even wingstop has more but I guess they know more about running a chicken business. The cashier told us the only craft beers we could choose from where an IPA and a cider. We chose the cider from the cooler since the cooler was looking low on the types of beers they had and we sat down. Roughly 10 mins later the cashier brings us two beers. We are confused because she never said anything about delivering the beers and we thought we already had gotten our ciders. She told us that those ciders were the wrong ones and she would have to charge us more. Ok again she never communicated that to us, but I’ll pay for the drinks that we got. The wait for the food is at least 25+ mins, ours however took longer. The cook actually skipped us and the people in front of us and served the people that ordered after us first. The cook then serves the couple in front of us, but our order is no where to be seen. The cashier realized the mistake and begins to start making our order 25…minutes…after…we should have been eating. Now instead of bringing out our whole order together they decide to then bring out only half the order and the cashier then says she is still going to charge us for the incorrect ciders! My fiancée kindly pointed out that the cashier never said that she was actually going to bring out the beers and that also our order had been skipped and no apology was given. The cashier said that it was the cooks fault and not her fault, really great customer service right there. Finally on to the food. If you know anything about cooking chicken you can’t rush it to cook faster, but the cook seemed to have pulled my chicken out sooner that it should have been. As soon as I got close to the middle of the sandwich my chicken wasn’t as hot as the first couple of bites and was really squishy signaling that it wasn’t cooked all the way. I stopped eating it and was just in awe on how this place was still in business. The sauce on the chicken was ok, the Mac and cheese is so dry since it is just sitting uncovered waiting to be served. The best part was the fries and the raising canes type sauce that they had. The waffle on the slider fell apart and my sandwich was a complete mess. So to sum it up if you want bad service, possible food poisoning, long order times and also long wait times to receive your food then go here, but if not…….then you are better off going to Whistle Britches at the mall or the other location on Frankford and Preston. Hell even Torchy’s Tacos does a better chicken and waffle taco.
