This is not your regular bagel place. Located just a few blocks from the Marcy Ave stop sits this bagel place just on the outskirts of the Hasidic neighborhood. There are more bagel varieties than bagel flavors, this isn’t a bad thing. You can get a bagel stick! You could get a regular bagel with cream cheese, a classic bagel with lox. All will not disappoint. But since you’re here, you should get the crunchy fried lox. It’s unlike anything you’ve ever had (and will have again). It’s delicious and very satisfying. This is also not a place you can sit and eat. Take it and maybe go to Domino Park and enjoy this new found delight. You’re welcome.

Gib’s New York Bagels – Menu with Prices – 1112 Oakridge Dr, Fort Collins

We had enjoyed take-out bagels from Gibâ??s Bagels & Deli, but had not eaten there. So we stopped in for lunch. The coffee crowd and lunch crowd were gathering at noon. In addition to many kinds of New York style bagels and spreads, they offer bagel sandwiches and salads. My wife had the smoked salmon bagel sandwich which made a satisfying and hearty lunch. I had a hot pastrami & Swiss bagel sandwich â?? a full flavored and filling lunch. Gibâ??s is a friendly place to pick up bagels or to relax and enjoy a good deli sandwich.

On Your Mark Cafe – Menu with Prices – 639 Forest Ave, Staten Island

I ate in here for breakfast with the guy I am currently dating. I have had food from this place before, but never ate-in until yesterday. Like Heather (my sister-in-law) said, it is funded by “On Your Mark.” Your order is taken by and served by the consumers (People who utilize the services of OYM. I had pancakes with bacon. Matt had eggs with hash-browns, bacon and a bagel. We also had 2 bottles of water. Our breakfast bill came to $6.25. Our conversation during the meal: FYI Matt and I are both Jewish. Matt: This a really good bagel. I think it’s the best I ever had. Me: Now is it a good bagel that tastes like regular bread,? or a good bagel as in a JEWISH bagel? Matt: Jewish bagel, wanna try a piece? Me: (Makes “this is the best i’ve ever had face”) Matt: You don’t like it? Me: NOOO I love it! This IS a Jewish bagel.

Domino’s Pizza – Menu with Prices – 3025 Mt Vernon Rd SE Ste C, Cedar Rapids

Oh how to share my disappointment in Domino’s. Wouldn’t even give it one star if I could still comment. Definitely going to Pizza hut from now on. Order my pizza it was good. a little while later about an hour or so goes by and the driver calls me and starts yelling at me cuz I was a dollar shorts and I don’t like being yelled at so I hung up and then the general manager called me right back and continue to be rude and belittle me because I would have dollar short I would not recommend Domino’s to anybody if you want my recommendation Pizza hut Mount Vernon road. Bad experience never again.

Gib’s New York Bagels – Menu with Prices – 2531 S Shields St # 2E, Fort Collins

I am not sure how there are even bad reviews here. I have been coming here for over 20 years and the bagels are always on point, fresh, and delicious! I’ve never had a bad bagel here and the service is usually very good. The line can back up and be longer at times but that’s because the food is so delicious. My favorite bagel here is the everything bagel but really they’re all delicious. Their homemade cream cheese is our wonderful and the atmosphere is cozy and nice. The best deal is to get the Gib’s dozen which is actually 13 bagels. There are also have wonderful sandwiches, bagel knots, coffee, tea, as well as juices and soft drinks. This is the original Gib’s Bagels and my favorite. All the locations are good but I prefer this location. Parking is ample and there’s always tons of variety. If you’ve never been to a Gib’s Bagels, then do yourself a favor and head over. If you’ve been but haven’t in a awhile, go back and eat a tasty bagel.

Meshuggah Bagels – Menu with Prices – 7096 W 105th St, Overland Park

Don’t get me wrong: I love their bagels and the ingredients they apply to your order. I’ve been coming to Meshuggah now for almost two years–so, since it opened–and I have to say I don’t like how they serve their patrons. They’re efficient and never get the order wrong but they’re brusque and defensive (consistently so) like when you let them know the order is to go, they don’t say a simple okay or thank you but proceed to hector you as to the conventions of New York style bagel shops–everything in a paper sack, which is totally fine, but then you’re told you know if I recognize you as a regular then you get a plate, the premise being that they acknowledge and reward regular customers which is their prerogative but how would a single employee know all of its regulars; the person who took my order had never served me before — they wouldn’t know a regular unless the regular is served by the same person each time. Bottom line — if you’re willing to be condescended to you can get yourself a great bagel.

Hill Street Donut House – Menu with Prices – 1926 S Coast Hwy, Oceanside

While I have genuine nostalgia 4 anything that still has the hill street name in it. I did not have a fantastic experience at the donut shop. I stopped to get a quick bagel and coffee before an appointment, they did not have much of a selection on breakfast sandwiches Etc and when I ordered a bagel the gentleman offered me plain or everything. Those are your choices. After a bit of time the coffee and the bagel came out and I went to my car to snack on the way to my appointment and much to my shock there were no condiments for the bagel in the bag. No cream cheese no butter no Jam nothing! I mean what the heck who just needs a plain bagel with nothing! The coffee also was not strong and delicious as I always anticipate coffee to be and the visit left me feeling very unsatisfied. I doubt I will be back anytime soon

DeWitt Bagel Company – Menu with Prices – 4320 E Genesee St, Syracuse

This is a bagelry that is an expansion of the Caz Bagel Co. They purchase half made bagels from a baker in the Bronx which means they are real bagels. The shop does not possess the same aroma as a true bagel shop, but the end result is the best bagel around our area with Bruegers a close second. Any other bagel is fake which includes Wegman’s and Panera. The shop is immaculately clean and the service is excellent although a bit slow. The bottom line is the bagel. If the bagel is good, that is all that matters, and the Caz/DeWitt Bagel Co meets the goal of producing an excellent product. Read my review of the Caz Bagel Co for more info. The only drawback is the recess Coffee they serve; not a fan although many folks like Recess Coffee, I don’t. It’s too Starbucks. Please buy a bagel or a dozen to take home every week. This bagelry deserves our support.

Nook Coffee Bar – Menu with Prices – 2930 Bristol St #B105, Costa Mesa

Today was one of those rare mornings where I had time to indulge in coffee that was not from a kcup or an Alterra bag, made at the often-used, and probably not cleaned often enough coffee machine at the office. I decided to stop by Nook for the first time. Unlike during lunch hours, there was ample parking available as other businesses at the Lab were closed. The Nook had a welcoming ambience, with the morning sun streaming through the floor to ceiling glass windows. A barista said hello and I ordered a Spanish latte. I also wanted to order food and was looking for a menu when someone else walked in. He seemed to be a regular as he was greeted warmly by the barista, who then proceeded to ring me up for the latte. When I said I wanted to order food and asked if there was a menu, he quickly pointed to the plastic case containing bagels. I felt like I was being rushed, presumably so the regular customer could be helped. Anyway, I ordered a jalapeño bagel and paid for it. In the meantime, the barista prepared the regular customer’s drink. I don’t think he had even started mine yet. 5 min later, my food and drink were ready. I thanked him, but he didn’t bother to look up from his phone. As I left, I even said, ‘Thank you again! Have a good day’. Even that didn’t seem worthy of a glance away from his phone. It was like he didn’t hear me at all or was just ignoring me. Definitely different than the way he greeted and helped the regular customer who came after me. I have gotten better, much friendlier service from baristas at SBucks, Dunkin’ Donuts or any other chain coffee shops. I wish the barista was nicer. It was a such a quiet and beautiful morning and I didn’t think I did anything to be treated differently from the customer who came after me. It was not like they were busy either. That being said, both latte and the bagel were delicious! I would get both again but given the service I would first seek out other coffee shops before coming back here.

The Bagelry – Menu with Prices – 1401 Walnut St, Cincinnati

Cute little shop in an area of OTR that I hope continues to grow. I’ve had their bagels at Rooted, and had heard rave reviews about their lox bagel, which is one of my favorite foods of all time (+ haven’t found a place in Cincinnati that can do a lox bagel correctly yet). After finally making it to the brick & mortar location, I opted to try a few other things on my first visit. I got an egg sandwich + wheat bagel to eat right away, and a rosemary bagel with the vegan cheddar cheese spread for later. The egg sandwich was phenomenal. The bagel was great (very obviously boiled! yay!) + the perfect mix of crunchy and chewy. Lots of egg, and wrapped perfectly so that I could eat it on the go. The rosemary bagel was also delicious – I liked it better than the wheat bagel. I was so excited they had 3 vegan cream cheese flavors when I visited – such a rarity for Cincy! – but the cheddar cashew cream cheese was just okay. I probably did it wrong by pairing it with the rosemary bagel, but it did nothing for me, and wasn’t as good as other cashew cheese I’ve tried. Bummer. Definitely coming back for the lox bagel when I’m back in Cincy next. What a great addition to OTR!

Uncle Nick’s N.Y. Style Bagels, Subs & Deli – Menu with Prices – 5917 Manatee Ave W #301, Bradenton

Today, I ate an Uncle Nick’s bagel for the first time and was surprised how different it was compared to bagels sold elsewhere. There were many varieties from which to choose and the one I chose actually from a distance looked like a large, dark chocolate donut. The poppy seeds are not sprinkled on the top but actually the top was completely covered with them and they do not fall off as soon as the bagel is lifted from the tray. I was surprised at the taste and size of their bagel. It was not a heavy, doughy bagel; rather, a light, delicious one. I mentioned to the man in charge, â??I donâ??t know what is different with these bagels but they are delicious.â? Smiling, he replied, â??They are the bestâ? and he is right. Their coffee is delicious too.I had been there once previously and had the chicken salad sandwich which was excellent. I ordered one to take home with me. For those interested their bistro opens at 4 pm Tues. â??Saturday and offers many selections.

Noah’s NY Bagels – Menu with Prices – 123 Lincoln Center, Stockton

I’ve been on the lookout for a bagel store in Stockton. I decided to give Noah’s a try today for the first time. It was quite busy for a Sunday morning. I ordered the super onion bagel toasted and had half of the bagel with smoked salmon schmear and the other half with a garlic and herb schmear. I was pretty excited to try their bagels since they have a large variety of different bagels to choose from. The super onion bagel came out way too burnt. The onion flakes on top of the bagel were completely black and it deteriorated from the flavor of the schmear. When I was able to find a part that wasn’t burnt, I loved the pairing of the onion bagel and smoked salmon schmear. The garlic and herbs schmear did not disappoint either. Tip- if you have your bagel toasted, ask them to not toast it too much. You can also have a different schmear and each half of the bagel! I would’ve easily given this place a 4 stars if my bagel didn’t come out burnt.
