I was looking for some good thai food in the Bellevue area and stumbled across Araya’s on yelp and decided to try it. It’s in a really cute part of Bellevue, with lots of other restaurants and shops around. I was pleasantly surprised by the really trendy and green decor! It was a cute date spot and would’ve made for some good photos as well if I went during the day. We went for dinner and got the spicy noodles, avocado curry, and mango sticky rice. Spicy noodles: 2/5. Really don’t recommend this one!! Wasn’t even spicy, noodles were weird and stuck to one another, and the dish had an overall gamey taste that my boyfriend and I both didn’t like. I think this definitely isn’t one of their good items. Avocado curry: 5/5! We definitely hit the jackpot with this one!! Unlike the spicy noodles, which were disappointing, I absolutely loved this one. It was a creamy green curry with fresh veggies, avocado chunks, and tofu with a nice subtle spiciness to it. It was a pretty good portion, enough for two people honestly. I think we would’ve been satisfied with just this and two orders of rice and an appetizer instead. Highly recommend! Mango sticky rice: 4/5. I’ve been obsessed with mango sticky rice lately and so had to try this. The presentation was super fancy and wow the mangos were so ripe and delicious! The sticky rice was more densely packed than other ones I’ve had and there was less of the sweet condensed milk (?) stuff on top than usual, but overall it was really good. I recommend this as a dessert as well! Servers were friendly and attentive, bathrooms were clean and nicely decorated, and the restaurant itself was pretty spacious and really pretty. I’ll be back to try the lunch buffet or for another dinner date in the future!

Thai Kitchen Temecula – Menu with Prices – 27520 Ynez Rd STE C1, Temecula

BEST THAI RESTAURANT EVER. NOT GOING ANYWHERE ELSE FOR THAI FOOD OTHER THAN THIS PLACE! Food was excellent and service was superb! We had the Thai Iced Tea, Crab Fried Rice, Tofu Yellow Curry, Thai Royal Noodles, Tom Kha, Chicken Teriyaki and Mango Sticky Rice! Everything was delicious and Thai Iced Tea was buy one get one free! You can ask them to make your thai iced tea less sweet if you want to btw. My favorite would be the Tom Kha, it’s the best I’ve had. The perfect balance between, sweet, sour, spicy, salty and creamy. My next favorite would be the crab fried rice. No words for it, it’s that good. The yellow curry is absolutely perfect with rice, whether it’s white or brown. Lastly, the Mango Sticky rice was the perfect way to end dinner if you want something not too sweet. I may be saying perfect too much throughout this review but it is what it is and you won’t regret dining/eating here. 100% will recommend to anyone even if you haven’t had thai food.

Bangkok 54 Restaurant Menu with Prices 2919 Columbia Pike, Arlington

Decided to try Bangkok 54 with a group of my friends on a weeknight. I had seen the restaurant before because I have gone to Boru Ramen a couple times before (right next door). Not a fan of the parking in this area because it is very limited. Bangkok54 is a little better with their own lot in the back, but it is a little tight and can fill up quickly depending on the day. Service is always very friendly at Bangkok 54. The restaurant is very large, so I have not had to wait for a table yet. Dishes here range from maybe $12-15 on the menu with the classics like Thai curry, stir-fried dishes, noodles, soups, etc. Food: Mock Duck (vegetarian) – My friend ordered the mock duck the past two times and it is sooo good. It is crunchy, crispy, savory, and spicy!! Stir-Fry Kaprow (pork) – This is usually my go-to dish at Thai restaurants besides Khao Soi. It’s just stir-fried spicy pork with basil and peppers. It was pretty standard here and a little more on the pricy side. Mango Sticky Rice – Really good mango sticky rice here! Mangos were fresh and ripe and the sticky rice was sweet and delicious. Overall, food here is pretty solid and the restaurant is large. Parking can be a bit of a hassle sometimes, but not too bad since they have their own lot. Would recommend for some solid Thai food in the area.

Khun 9 Thai Kitchen – Menu with Prices – 2018 W Carson St, Torrance

This review is strictly for the mango sticky rice. Was craving mango with sticky rice after ramen and so glad I checked Yelp! Khun 9 Thai Kitchen had great reviews and saw their very cute heart shaped sticky rice and mango and I just had to try it. So glad I did! I ordered 2 and I am so glad I did bc my family and I loved it! The best mango sticky rice we’ve had is in Hawaii and let me tell you, Khu 9’s version was not far from it. It was so tasty, the mango was so sweet and the sauce was delicious! So happy we’ve found a new place whenever we are in Torrance and craving for a yummy dessert. They only serve during mango season so if you’ve never trued mango with sticky rice, it is a must and get it from Khun 9 , promise you won’t be disappointed! Also, their other foods look good. Definitely smelled good as I picked up my dessert. Will be back to try their other food. They are located in Torrance on Carson street next to Flame Broiler.

Jenny?s Place Thai Cuisine Menu with Prices 512 S Brookhurst St #3, Anaheim

We came here for lunch on a weekend, and it was not busy at all, which actually made the service pretty stellar. We had a coupon for what was advertised as 50% off the entire bill before taxes, so we figured we would try out a new business as opposed to a place that we knew we already liked and was well established. I was craving Thai, so the coupon induced us to try it out. We ended ordering the following: Papaya salad (really spicy) $8.95 – I don’t care for papaya salad, but the little that I did are made me really not care for it. My mom was also not impressed with it. There was nothing really special about it. I would give this a 2/5. Chicken Pad Thai $8.95 – This was surprisingly just ok tasting and average at best. It was very dry and not well mixed. I don’t think I would order this here again. The chicken was also dry and flavorless. Definitely did not use high quality chicken here. My mom concurred. I would give this a 3/5. Shrimp panang curry $11.95 – this was probably the star of the show. It was full of flavor and had a good amount of shrimp in it. It was about 2 cups portions and did not come with rice. This was my favorite dish of the bunch. I would give this a 5/5. Spicy basil fried rice with shrimp $11.95 – this was pretty tasty and was a large portion, but you have to get it somewhat spicy; otherwise I could imagine it would be blah. The basil really helped bring out the flavor and the shrimp were big and a good amount. I would give this a 4/5. Mango sticky rice $6.50 – how do you mess this up? There were parts of the sticky rice that were hard, but the coconut milk helped bring this dessert to life. Unfortunately, the mangos were a bit tart, too sour for my taste. I wish we brought our own mangos for this because I’ve had sweeter mangos this week. I would give this a 3/5. We received the bill and had a coupon, but unfortunately the 50% off the total bill was not honored due to a misprint that the manager said she did not know or was not aware of. It was supposed to be 50% off one entree. One?! We ordered 4! Seriously, if you’re going to advertise, I would hope you knew what was printed, or at least advertise at your restaurant that the coupon terms were incorrect. Something to inform us so that we aren’t manipulated into coming to the restaurant as we could have gone to a more reputable place for the same price. The manager did let us have 2 of the entrees for 50% off, so we got at least that. The dishes are hit and miss here. I would stick with the curries and rice dishes. They do have an extensive menu so maybe we came on an off day for the noodle dishes. As I mentioned service here was good. There was one server on the floor, and we were one of two tables at the time. I would say try it out and see for yourself.

Tuptim Thai Cuisine Menu with Prices 4896 Washtenaw Ave, Ypsilanti

Me and my husband both are huge fan of Thai cuisine. After leaving San Diego we never got many good Thai place to eat in Michigan, specially in Ann Arbor. Tuptim Thai Cuisine restaurant is just near my house but still I was reliant to try this place reading the reviews. Today at lunch I took my chances and went there. It wasn’t a bad experience but not a very good one either. They do have plenty of free parking space both sides of the restaurant. As soon I walked in I was seated by a very serious man. Both the servers one man and woman were nice to me, they came to ask if everything was ok but none of them smiled for once. Anyway back to the main thing – food. I am a huge huge fan of Penang Curr duck. As it was my first time there I wanted to order something safer. So I ordered Penang curry chicken. It came with a side vegetable tofu soup and one spring roll. The soup was simple yet fresh. The spring roll was ok. I never find much to compliment a spring roll as it has literally nothing inside of it. The curry on the other hand wasn’t good. It was simply pale. One of the main reasons I love Penang curry because of its coconut sauce which should always has a sweeter taste to it. In this case it was more towards spicy and paler side. Still it was ok but the vegetables they put in that curry was simply taken out from frozen bag and put it in there. Green peas, beans and carrots. The whole packaged vegetables they just threw in that curry. I couldn’t even eat my vegetables. I was very hungry when the food came. Seeing the portion of the rice I was thinking that I might have to order more but at the end I couldn’t eat the rice because the entire curry was so bland. I just picked up the chicken pieces and ate. The pricing is good. Specially with their quality of food I think it’s justified. I will probably go back again to try few more dishes and see if my idea of the place changes or not. This place is not terribly bad. I will be back I want to update my review based on my recent experience in this place. Last night me and my husband went there for dinner. We went around 6:30 pm and the place was quite full. The service this time was pleasant and prompt. Atmosphere was nice. We ordered Thai chicken fried rice and chicken Penang curry. The curry came with white rice on the side. I must say the food was good and huge portion. Specially the fried rice was excellent and very large portion. Usually around dinner time my husband’s appetite is skyrocketing. And he loves eating rice. So we have to order tons of rice. Yesterday also we were thinking we might have to order more rice but at the end we happily shared that one plate. In each bite we got huge size chicken. It was really well prepared dish. Although the curry on the other hand has the same problem I faced last time. They don’t prepare their veggies and chicken separately at all. The broth of the curry was really flavorful this time but the chicken was extremely blunt and flavorless. If they could have sautéed the chicken little bit before putting it into the curry it would have been a great dish. May be I am this critical about these preparations because I keep on comparing them with my west coast experience. We ended our dinner with their mango sticky rice and I must say that is one of the best mango sticky rice dish I have eaten in long time. It was cooked to perfection. Though I am not fully happy the way they cook their curry but I will still go there and experiment more new dishes along with excellent mango sticky rice.

Tocotoco Boba Tea – Menu with Prices – 3801 W President George Bush Hwy #116, Plano

Came here on a Sunday afternoon and it was fairly busy but not too crowded. It was cozy and cute inside but didn’t feel like all the decorations really went together but that’s ok. Before ordering, I perused the menu and yelp to see what would be a good choice. Luckily the menu has recommended options so I went ahead and got the mango green tea. Unfortunately, they didn’t have any lychee jelly so that was sad. My fiancé got the macchiato tiger sugar drink. The recommended/normal sugar level is 50% here. I’ve learned my lesson before and many times people recommend going with a lower sugar level, but I trusted my gut and went for 100% sweet ? I have a sweet tooth.. with that being said, it was not overly sweet at all. In fact, it definitely tasted a little less sweet than other mango green teas I’ve had before (specifically sweet hut) at normal sugar level. I didn’t like the mango bits in there. It wasn’t good mango. It was like the hard parts of a mango were cut up and put into the drink. I was trying my hardest to avoid the hard mangos. The macchiato tiger sugar drink was fairly sweet but tasted oh so delicious. It was like drinking pancakes and syrup. I know that sounds kind of gross and overly sweet but it was good if you’re into pancakes and syrup. I will definitely return in the future and will probably go for the macchiato tiger sugar drink! I would only get the mango green tea again if they took out the mango bits!

Big Mama Chims Noodle House – Menu with Prices – 905 Alley A, Columbia

This is very authentic! Truly a hidden gem. As a New Yorker, I was surprised that we were able to get such great (Northern) Thai food in Columbia, MO. I ordered the Tom Kha soup with sticky rice on the side ($2.50 for the sticky rice, but it well worth it), and my friends ordered green curry chicken rice and Pad Thai. They were all very satisfied! I also love the fact that they have the ‘spice caddy’ for every table, which includes peanuts, Thai dry chili flakes and spicy sour sauce. The Thai tea was on the sweet side and they mixed it with half and half instead of the traditional condensed milk. When the server takes your order, you’ll be asked to indicate the spicy level you’d like to have in your food, on a scale of 3 to 10: 3 being the least spicy and 10 being the most spicy. I chose 6.5 because I was told by my friend (who loves spicy food) says that 7 was pretty hot. I love my Tom Kha – it was just the right amount of spiciness and the right amount of food. The coconut milk that is part of the Tom Kha really added a great complexity to the dish. A must-try!

Heng Thai & Rotisserie – Menu with Prices – 165 Angell St, Providence

I stopped in here for lunch a few days ago and it was definitely worth the visit! I went with two other people and we decided to order a few things to share and try. We ordered crispy spring rolls, chicken satay, pad Thai, 1/2 rotisserie chicken with green beans and sticky rice, and two different soups. All of that came to $71 and my father from NY was astonished by the quality and amount of food for that price. The service was great and so was the food. The pad Thai with crispy chicken was very good but the real showstoppers were the roast chicken and the two soups. One was a pork stew and the other was a soup with little bits of chicharron on top. I can’t recall the name of it off the top of my head but one was made with egg noodles while the other was made with rice noodles. Both had great broths! The one with the egg noodles had a bit of sweetness to it. And the soups were very large and we took some home because we couldn’t finish it. The rotisserie chicken was moist and the accompanying sauce complemented it very well. It offered a sweet and spicy addition to the chicken. Their garlic string beans were delicious and I could have ate a huge bowl of them alone! The sticky rice was also very good and perhaps that’s because I favor sticky rice to just regular white rice. The crispy spring rolls and satay were also delicious. The staff was very friendly and funny. Overall a great place to check out if you’re near Thayer.

International Fare – Menu with Prices – 9013 112 St NW, Edmonton

I came to International Fare (Thai food) in Hub Mall last week while on a training course for work. I was impressed at the variety and selection. They offer lunch combos starting at about $8. I opted for a Medium size including 2 choices over rice or noodles. The green chicken curry was EXCELLENT. The massamun curry had too many potatoes that had broken down and just felt super thick/pasty – so I wouldn’t order that one again. You can upcharge to coconut rice for an extra $1 as well. Two of my coworkers also had a meal here and enjoyed their food. There was a hair in one of the boxes of food but it’s hard to say when/how it happened. Maybe even while we were eating? Regardless, I’d come back here I a heartbeat for the green curry chicken! Curry on!

Chaiyo Food Truck – Menu with Prices – 44 E 7th Ave, Eugene

Secind visit , trying to ket them redeem themselves. I went there my first time asked for the green curry bowl, the mango coconut sweet rice and a Tai Tea. The mango rice was cold refreshing and delicious, when you order your curry they ask you what spice level you want; I said mild to medium heat. When I took my first bite of the curry it was so hot it made my throat tighten up and took my breath away. I’m not a fan if hot food but I don’t shy ways either, I add Cheyenne peppers to my smoothies regularly, my daughter on the other hand loves heat, so when I got home I gave it to her cause I was unable to tolerate it, I even tried getting a spoon if the rice and just dipping the edge but it was just way way too spicy to even enjoy. So, I give it to my daughter and she was sweating while eating it, and said it was on the edge of too hot for her! I tipped huge the first time cause I was excited for the experience and we chatted about there food and all that good stuff. This time I went for just the mango sweet rice dessert cause it was so perfectly refreshing and lightly sweet, perfect for a hot day type deal, and I decided to give the spring rolls a go,. I order he he flips the thing around and then hawk watched me to see the tip scene part, this time I decided to wait to tip til I get the food and not with my card. I push no tip, he looks at it turns then tells my order to the cook. Kinda made for an awkward moment, lol, it took about 10 minutes to get the order and the mango coconut rice dish was hot ð??ª , not the mango part or the coconut milk but the rice, and it changed the whole dish. Wasn’t looking for a hot sweet. So with that said , I gave them 2 stars because the food is so very inconsistent, I can’t expect to get the same thing twice, or be able trust the spice levels etc. They aren’t inexpensive, so to buy food you can’t or don’t want to eat is disappointing. They have potential and if you like super hot Tai food that’s the spot

Wara Thai Eatery – Menu with Prices – 509 Main St, Vancouver

I was SO excited for a cute unpretentious Thai place in the neighborhood but this sadly missed the mark. Their posted dinner hours are 5pm to 9pm; when we showed up at 8 we were the only people there and were promptly told we had to order by 8:15. Maybe not the friendliest way to welcome new customers to your new business but sure, no problem. We decided on the stir fried vermicelli (pad mee see ew) with shrimp and a yellow curry with chicken. The dishes came out quickly and the noodles were decent; the curry was downright bad. Tough pieces of over cooked chicken and a few undercooked (like, almost raw) potatoes and carrots drowning in a huge bowl of watery bland yellow liquid. We ordered it with sticky rice which tasted a day old. After a few bites the server came over not to ask how it was but to tell us ‘the kitchen is now closed so you can’t order anything else.’ Ok then. The google reviews suggest lunch is a better experience but I’m not in a hurry to give this place another go. We are spoiled for food options in Chinatown; I’d rather wait in line at Phnom Penh or pay a few bucks more at Rhinofish or Fat Mao.

Thai Delight 24 – Menu with Prices – 142 East Riverdale Ave, Orange

Truly, a “Delight-ful” experience. This place is somewhat new, as they had a sign up indicating their grand opening. We were greeted and seated promptly. The woman serving us was kind to our baby. The food came out quick and was amazing. (Thank you for recommending the veggie eggrolls in addition to the chicken eggrolls…without your recommendation we would have just had the ones with meat, which were indeed delish, but the veggie ones were awesome!) I had the chicken curry, while my wife had the spicy noodles. Excellent, and excellent. We topped things off with the classic mango and sticky rice, and were thoroughly satiated. You know, I’ve been to a lot of Thai food restaurants, and to me they are mostly the same in terms of flavor. I’ve never had a bad experience. But this one stands out as having a slight edge. I don’t know what it is but they are ON TOP of everything. My wife and I are excited to live so close to this place and will visit here again. Two thumbs up, Thai Delight 24! You may be new in town, and you may not be flashy, but you are MIGHTY!
