Endless cuts of beef, lamb, pork and chicken… this is every carnivore’s dream! Most guests who dine with Fogo seek their famous full Churrasco experience. While it may be $55 per person, the excellent rotation of meats and outstanding service make dinner here a worthwhile splurge. In addition, the menu also offers a couple seafood choices and the complimentary MarketTable (elaborate salad bar) for those who want a lighter meal. Right after being seated, one of the servers introduced the menu and brought us a bowl of Brazilian Cheese Bread bites hot out of the oven. They were airy on the inside, almost like I was biting into a cheesy cloud. We were directed first to the MarketTable for veggies and sides before the main event. I enjoyed the Quinoa Tabbouleh, garbanzo bean salad and ripe fruits. The marinated mushrooms were delicious as well, and I couldn’t pass up the glistening smoked salmon. With all the wholesome options at the MarketTable, it was difficult for me to refrain from piling up my plate, but I had to just remind myself to save room for all the upcoming meat. They also provide sides of mashed potatoes, polenta fries and pan-fried bananas at your table. Of these three items, the bananas are my favorite! They are warm with a light cinnamon coating and alternating bites helps cut through the richness of the meats. When you’re ready, flip your circular card to the green side and servers will begin stopping by with various servings of meat carved table-side. My favorite was the Picanha, their House Special Sirloin which was seasoned simply with rock salt and cut paper-thin. It was SO tender and a perfect pink. The lamb and filet mignon were also flawlessly grilled and definite highlights. For most of the meats, I appreciate how Fogo keeps the seasoning to a minimum which allows their natural flavors to shine. Notable mentions to the succulent slow-roasted pork ribs coated in a flavorful dry rub, and the surprisingly moist Parmesan-crusted pork. One disappointing item was the sirloin with garlic sauce. Although I really loved the powerful garlic glaze, the beef was extremely tough and we all had a difficult time cutting through it. We appreciated the outstanding level of service, not only by the servers, but also by the staff overseeing the dining area who came by a few times to make friendly conversation. Even the managers were visible, roaming around and interacting with the guests. The servers did a wonderful job swiftly serving the meats and providing each guest with their preferred cuts – medium for me please! A couple times, they even asked if they could bring us anything specific, so we requested both the filet mignon and lamb, which were brought over within just a couple minutes. We felt so pampered! As a side-note, they attempt to push drink sales, but don’t feel pressured if you’re not interested in ordering alcohol. After politely passing once on the roaming bar cart and wine, we were not asked again. We closed our dinner with a sweet ending, sharing a Papaya Cream and Tres Leches Cake. I had pretty high expectations of Fogo’s signature dessert, the Papaya Cream (papaya blended with vanilla ice cream, topped with black currant liqueur) but it turned out to be somewhat of a letdown. I basically just tasted the vanilla ice cream with a hint of fruitiness and the liqueur didn’t enhance it at all. However, the Tres Leches Cake was delicious and moist with a perfect level of sweetness. Dining at Fogo de Chao is certainly a level above what I would consider a treat – we were downright spoiled and indulged until we couldn’t eat one more bite. To all the meat-lovers out there, come with an appetite and prepare for a feast!

Elhariri Hot Halal food Menu with Prices 301 Ontario St, Albany

The best lamb around!! This is my new favorite place for lamb- it is by far the best quality you’ll find. With the lamb over rice and the lamb wrap, you’ll get your lamb sliced off right in front of you- that’s how fresh the meat is. The meat is well seasoned and has a great texture. For the quality of lamb, the price is reasonable and definitely worth a try! Tip- try not to come too late in the day or there won’t be much lamb left and the core was significantly softer in texture- not very tasty.

All Meats Brazilian Steakhouse Menu with Prices 21065 Powerline Rd, Boca Raton

I took my boyfriend here for his birthday earlier this month. The restaurant was on the empty side when we went (9pm on a Saturday), but the hostess was nowhere to be found and we ended up standing around for 5 minutes before anyone bothered to come seat us (with a bit of an attitude, under the vent of a blasting a/c…again, the place was near empty). The waiter took forever to bring our drinks (caipirinhas, I had the original which was very tart and my bf had the pineapple version which was really good), I had to flag him down and remind him and he was slow bringing the check at the end of the meal. But he was young and nice while attending to us, so I’ll chalk it up to inexperience. The salad bar was dinky, I’ve had way better before at the same price point, the rice was rock hard and pretty much inedible. The french fries and fried yuca (no bananas or cheese bread) were both cold and the bread/cracker things given were too hard to chew, so we pretty much ignored the table side dishes (Fogo and Chima’s table side dishes are to die for, so this offering was really disappointing). The waiters bringing around the meats were really this restaurant’s saving grace, they were all nice and accommodating, and the meat was cooked perfectly and seasoned well (the sausages and garlic steak were awesome and they constantly asked if we’d like a specific cut to be brought to our table). We skipped dessert in favor of going for a coffee and cake elsewhere. I’d made a note on the reservation that it was a birthday dinner, but they didn’t bother to come sing happy birthday to him. I know they do this because they did it for another table as we were eating, eh whatever but disappointing considering I spent close to $150 on this meal. This place has the potential to be great, the meats really are worth going, they just need to tighten a few things up (seriously, that salad bar is lacking and your hostess shouldn’t be gone from the front of the house that long without finding someone to cover for her, we could have just walked out and yall would have missed the revenue on a clearly slow night). We’ll give it another try in a few months, hopefully it improves.

Marble Slab Creamery – Menu with Prices – 5555 Whittlesey Blvd Suite 1940, Columbus

So I ordered a BANANA split on waitr from marble slab and once it was delivered to me I took a few bites and realized there were NO BANANAS. Just in case I was missing them, I dumped the whole container out and I was right, there wasnâ??t a single banana. So I called the store and got the manager on the phone where she proceeded to tell me â??no there are bananas in there, the girl who made it has been here for 5 months she knows what sheâ??s doingâ? and kept fighting me on it and kept arguing with me about there being bananas in there when there were CLEARLY NO BANANAS IN THERE. I was super calm the whole time telling her â??Iâ??m sorry but I dumped the whole thing out and there arenâ??t any bananas in hereâ? but I was getting aggravated and frustrated because I never got an apology or a solution, just an argument. Then I told her â??look Iâ??ve ordered banana splits all my life from yâ??all since I was little and I know how you make them and I know yâ??all use a whole banana and split it in half and put it on the sides so thereâ??s no way Iâ??m missing 2 big banana pieces ESPECIALLY after Iâ??ve poured the whole thing outâ? she got quiet because I guess she figured that I knew what I was talking about, that I was a banana split expert, and finally said â??well I donâ??t know what you want me to do about it, do you want free ice cream or something what do you want?â? SUPER RUDE AND ABSOLUTELY MADE ME NEVER WANT TO EVEN CONSIDER MARBLE SLAB EVER AGAIN.

Korean Cuisine Bob Sang – Menu with Prices – 4185 Cushing Pkwy, Fremont

Was feeling hungry on a Saturday night so opted for some AYCE kbbq! Parking lot is a bit small but it was an early-ish dinner (6pm) so there were some spots available. Wait was about 10 or or so minutes. They have set dinners and a la carte but AYCE was reasonably priced so that’s what we went for. Standard bonchon, and the meats are split up into ones that you cook for yourself (brisket, ribeye, pork belly), and meats that they bring pre-cooked for you (bbq beef, chicken, pork, galbi). I was here a long time ago and remembered them cooking the meat for our group, but I guess that’s not really a thing anymore. No matter! It’s pretty simple to flip meats and keep everything from being burnt. Brisket was good, rib eye was a pass. The bbq chicken/beef/pork combination platter felt like a filler but the galbi was great. Should have eaten more of that but got filled up on other things. Corn cheese was a bit sweet for my liking. Servers were very attentive, we were hardly ever without some meat cooking (sometimes had to tell them to wait a bit so we could actually finish eating what we cooked before they gave us more meat). It was bustling inside but our waiters made sure we always had enough meat & water. I usually take like 2-3 month hiatuses after kbbqs so I’m glad this place made it a worthwhile experience!

Dickey’s Barbecue Pit – Menu with Prices – 4212 Stadium Dr, Kalamazoo

Finally had a chance to head over to this chain. I hadn’t actually heard about it until I went to New York and found out kzoo had their own. So naturally I had to try it out myself. I dug the interior layout of the place. Very easy to find the order counter. You can order one type of meat or a couple in a platter. So I did two meats pulled pork and brisket. I really love juicy meat and not having to rely on using a sauce. Unfortunately that’s exactly what I had to do with my brisket. Pulled pork was already sauced up, no problem. However, the meat was cold which was super weird. The brisket although dry was at least hot. The meal didn’t come with any type of bread, so I’m not sure if I was to order that on the side like I did with fries. Thank goodness I had those when I got home. I was able to use the waffle fries as “bread” pieces. However, it just didn’t hid the fact that both meats were so dry. When you are playing a lot of money like that, it really sucks to have cold AND dry food. Two stars for the drink machine though I love those.

Eggers Meats North – Menu with Prices – 902 W Rosewood Ave, Spokane

This is based on a few times I’ve been here… Consistently, I’ve never had a problem with the quality of their meat. Every time I’ve purchased from them, I’ve been very pleased with the meat I brought home. This is starting to sound a little dirty… My biggest complaint is that they don’t have a lot of diversity of meat. I went in there for lamb the other day, and all they had was one package of ground lamb. That’s it. Maybe at their other location, but not there (and they just assumed I’d do the work to find out). So three stars. Good meat, little diversity.

Westside Shawarma – Menu with Prices – 425 – 713 West Side Ave, Jersey City

This truck is located in a BP gas station. If you are looking for somewhere to sit down and enjoy your meal, walk a block down, past the animal hospital to the big park. There are benches and better air quality there. Regardless, the meats are delicious. I’m a fan of lamb gyros. Since Halal Guys switched their lamb to beef, it’s a treat to find a food truck that serves lamb over rice in NJ. Their hot sauce is not too hot and the white sauce is delicious. $7 for the chicken and lamb over rice combo or the lamb over rice combo. The orders both come with a can of soda each. Their food portions are generous. I could only finish half of my meal.

Tom Yum Thai – Menu with Prices – 3313 Belt Line Rd, Garland

At first I have never really come to this side of the town mainly because I live up in McKinney. And that one time one of my friend as me to join him for lunch there I was like why not, I would go and try it. It’s one of my favorite Thai food restaurant in Dallas. The lunch portion was huge for the price you pay for compare to what you get from other place and the food is delicious. Normally I would get pad see ew with level 3 of spicy, I can handle my spicy and level 3 is already pretty spicy to me and I love it. And I had been coming back to Tom Yum for a couple times to try other entrees. I also like their chicken curry fried rice with level 2 of spicy, they’re tend to a little spicy then what you get from the pad see ew. They’re also my favorite. I would definitely recommend to try it for lunch with their lunch special deals from Monday to Friday. If you like their food like me, you would be going back more often then you think.

Mehfil Indian Restaurant – Menu with Prices – 1605 Douglas Blvd, Roseville

Wow. This is my new favorite Indian restaurant. Everything was amazing from food to service. My husband and our server, Sanjo, really seemed smitten with each other. He was very handsome and charming so I don’t blame my husband for being swooned. The chai was delicious and in the second batch they added just a hint of ginger. I’m not a big ginger fan, but I still thought the chai was delicious. I also thought it was a great way to show that they change up their chai a little so you know it’s fresh and specially made. We ordered meat samosas, a naan basket with the plain, garlic, and chicken filled naan, lamb vindaloo, and lamb rogan josh. Everything was spectacular. They gave us papadum and chutneys to start. I haven’t loved every chutney I’ve ever tried, but I enjoyed all of theirs! The chili one was a little too oniony for me, but that’s because I don’t care for raw onion. In contrast, it was my husband’s favorite. The meat samosas had a great dough and the meat tasted like great quality. The chicken naan was my favorite and the garlic naan paired super well with the lamb vindaloo. I was nervous about spice levels because at some places the medium is perfect and some (usually Indian or Thai places), it’s just a little too much for me. Sonja was great about gauging my spice level when I ordered and the dish was perfect. Enough of a kick to feel it and still enjoy all the delicious flavors. My husband added an order or raita for the plain naan since it was too much naan for our meals alone. Naan and raita is one of his favorite things. This was my favorite raita I’ve ever tried. I’m serious, this place had everything just so on point. Even though we were full and didn’t finish our meals, we had to add an order of gulab jamun and again, spectacular. It was a perfect little last minute date night and we will definitely be back when we’re in the area. Or we’ll head over to Roseville just to go back.

Marie’s Kitchen – Menu with Prices – 11910 Greenville Ave Suite 103, Dallas

This is literal definition of a hole in the wall. It’s so randomly placed inside of an office building and seems like most of their business comes from that building. When I was there they only had two people working who were both very sweet and friendly. They have a variety of American dishes as well as a Filipino breakfast menu served all day. I decided to try to try a combo tocilog/longsilog. The tocino is sweet delicious slices of barbecued pork belly and the longanisa are sweet little sausages. Both were good in their own way, but I thought that the tocino outshone the longanisa. The dish comes with garlic flavored rice and two perfectly cooked sunny side up eggs. On the side, they bring you pickled papaya and sliced chilis as condiments. They recommend you add vinegar to the chilis and dip your meat in it, which I did happily. It’s not too spicy and adds some wonderful acidity to the sweetness of the meats. You get a ton of food for the price, it’s all freshly cooked and delicious. Plus they bring out a free little snack of corn nuts as an appetizer and fresh slices of strawberries and grapes for dessert! I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a unique and tasty meal.

Luna’s Bistro Menu with Prices 3004 Cinema Pl, Bellingham

Wow! The dinner special for Saturday night was an amazing combination of fork-tender lamb shanks, creamy mashed potatoes and a side of vegetables. Our waitress returned after taking our order to tell us that they had run out of the broccoli and would substitute a veg combo. We got both carrots and cauliflower. We like this restaurant and visit fairly frequently, but this was our first time on a Saturday evening. They offer a Chef’s Special & when I learned it was lamb, my choice had been made. My husband and I generally order different entrees & occasionally share bites of particularly flavorful dishes. I told him if he wanted to try the lamb, he better order his own plate, since I had no intention of sharing!! So we both enjoyed this very well prepared meat dish and the side dishes too. We will definitely be back to try another chef’s special, as well as their burgers, halibut & chips. It’s great having reliably great restaurant meals close to home…

Fn Function Bar – Menu with Prices – 2291 Yonge St, Toronto

I wasn’t expecting much considering the grimy place this location used to be. They cleaned it up so nice. It looks incredible in there. My partner liked their beer menu and I was happy they had a couple cans of cider and their cocktail menu didn’t appeal to me. The food menu did make me a bit nervous, there’s a lot of heavy meats and foods. We ordered a couple tacos which were alright but I wouldn’t order again as the shells were chewy and just all wrong. The fillings in my taco were so plain it just wasn’t good. The only other thing we ordered was the pulled pork nachos, it was so meat and sauce heavy that at first I was disappointed. But the flavours were delicious. The flavour combinations are so strange and I was very confused as to why it tasted so good. The pork was smoked really nicely and was covered in a delicious bbq sauce. The other sauce that on there in a Mac a cheese sauce, I think Mac and cheese powder mixed with sour cream. There is also fresh dill sprinkled across the top of the nachos and a dill and sour creak dip on the side. There was a lot going on flavour wise and it all went together so well. Because of this one nacho dish we will be back to try some more of the food. The server also brought over the smoked watermelon which was smoked so much it made me wheeze and left my tongue feeling strange. I think the chef is likely a smoker and can’t taste it as well as we could. I was disappointed with how much it’s smoked because I can see that it would be delicious if done properly. I’d say it’s smoked 3/4 longer than it needs to be. I felt like a wheezing bag of smoke after eating it. I forgot we ordered the creme brûlée which was apple jacks flavour. They rotate the cereal flavour. It was alright. I don’t think I’d order the creme brûlée again because it was to runny. I can’t wait to try their cereal flavoured gelato. I also can’t forget to mention on of the most important things was that the service was fantastic. Some of he best service we had in the neighbourhood. This is probably the main reason I gave them 4 stars along with those creative nachos.
