The facility is about what you would expect from an older bowling alley. I have brought my kids there before and had a blast. HOWEVER, they have a no outside foods policy. I get it, food and drinks is where they make a lot of their money and I went in today intending to buy their food and drinks for my children, but I am on a restricted diet and it was lunchtime and I brought food from home for myself. I explained this to the front desk person, Thomas, and was told that he couldn’t make an exception for me and the fact that there was nothing for me to eat there was “not (his) problem”. He said that if his boss, Cindy was to see me eating my food in there she would probably fire him and he didn’t think I would let him come live with me if he lost his job. So rude, snarky and unnecessary. I stayed polite with him while expressing my disagreement with his choice to be so arbitrary in enforcing this rule. It’s not like I was trying to walk in there with a party and 10 pizzas or something. I bought popcorn and drinks for my kids as I had planned and we bowled a couple games.

Woody & Anne’s – Menu with Prices – 2236 Winnebago St, Madison

went to Woodys today at a suggestion from a friend who also went there with us – he was also not included in any of the food but he did know some of the people there so he stayed to eat their crumbs when the good food was brought out ,. there was popcorn and pretzels at the bar so after ordering drinks we started to eat some – noticed that the “regular” customers moved them both down the bar so we could not eat any more. Talked with Woody AND then the regulars that used to go to Avenue came in so we moved so they could sit together. Well, the bartender brought them shrimp. taco dip, veggies and dip and was making them a pizza and more food that was just for them – we all got to watch them eat but no sharing with us – we both had 3 drinks and I played the machines – found this to be very rude – will not go back – he asked us to come for Karaoke but he did not know when it was and after spending money down there – if you are not a regular we felt we did not matter.

Cinco Villa – Menu with Prices – 8511 McPherson Rd, Laredo

The people that work there are rude. We usually go there to buy salsa because it’s delicious, but the lady always gives snarky remarks asking why I’m buying salsa. First of all, why else would someone buy food from their restaurant, obviously to eat. So I pay almost $4, for just 4oz of salsa, snarky remarks, and no chips included because that would be an extra charge. Today was the last time I ever go, because when I went to make a purchase, she had the nerve to tell me, “I cant sell you salsa because we didn’t make any yesterday and we only have for today.” So what she is telling me is she has been giving me over priced salsa that has been sitting in their refrigerator for who knows how long, and refused to sell me fresh salsa she had. So no, I would not recommend this place, no matter the quality of their food.

The Chicken Barn – Menu with Prices – 2601 Oakdale Rd # S, Modesto

The food is good but the service is actually horrible. I ordered on the phone and came in because I was in a hurry. Not one customer was there and they made me wait 15 minutes longer once I got there for a 10 peice chicken meal. It’s like they didnt want me to place a pickup order, they didnt like that. And the lady was rude. I really wont go anymore because the whole staff is actually VERY RUDE. 100% the rudest establishment I’ve been to. Horrible customer service.

Rusty’s Billiards Menu with Prices 3151 S Cooper St #400, Arlington

Used to be a fairly regular spot for me and some friends up until last year. Cheep drinks plenty of tables and the staff was easy going for the most part. Except one. If you see a short, plump young woman with black hair and glasses stay away. Was waiting in line for the restroom and both stalls were occupied. There was two other women ahead of me. One stall stayed occupied for a long time I didnt want to be rude so I stayed quiet, but Jesus H. Christ did I have to pee. Turns out the reason one was occupied for so long was because she was in there crying. I felt sad for her since she had a bad day but I had to go and my bladder has no empathy for the weak. I asked if she minded finishing up since there was a line and if she could just step out for a moment to let people use the restroom. Instead of being civil i was met with shrill “IM BUSY!” And that was enough to set me off. I tell her the toilet isn’t a good fucking therapist and that she shouldn’t hold up the line. At this point I had one fucking shiner I had my wits about me but she threatened to cut me off. Lol k. She finally threw the door open and boy did it look like she had an ugly cry to match her ugly personality. After I was done I went to speak to the manager and he didnt seem suprised at all, or even phased. Seems like he is used to this from her. He offered me a free shot and said sorry which I guess in the moment is the best you can do. Only reason they don’t get one star. All my friend’s and I had a good laugh but haven’t been back since. Not worth it if the employees are fine making paying regular customers wait for the restroom cause they have thin skin. Maybe expand your ladies room to have more than two stalls, or train your employees better.

Time Out Sports Bar & Grill – Menu with Prices – 1762 S Greenfield Rd Ste 111, Mesa

My fiance and I came here when it first changed to Time Out. We sat at a bar table and was assisted by the bartender. she was SO nice and told us all about the new changes and how she worked there when it was Fat Willys and we told her how we only went there once because food was gross. She assured us new owner made many changes. We were ecstatic. We ordered a burger and wings and some mixed drinks. Food came out perfect. No complaints at all. We live across the street and were excited that this place was now amazing. Ended there because every time we go in there now there is new charges. Now they charge for fries when they didnt the first time. Then after getting our bill we noticed they charge for kids drinks, they dont come with the kids meal like most places. Also they have kids eat free which is a big deal for us since we have 3, well apparently even though we paid full price for wings because it wasnt a day they were on special, they still wouldnt count it as an entree even though they cost more than the burger. At least make it a dollar amount or have it written somewhere in the place. We gad an amazing experience the first time but have been back 3 times since and been disappointed by service and by surprise charges. Wont be coming back. Havent seen that nice bartender since, unfortunately. Seems like they just want to do anything to get more money out of you but not really care about their guests. Sad to see.

Fairview Char-Broiler – Menu with Prices – 419 N Fairview St, Santa Ana

I had such a bad experience here that I highly recommend people avoid this place. The food wasn’t good at all I brought four kids here to eat and I ordered them hamburgers and I got the half chicken for myself. The burgers were overdone and so was my chicken. The portion for my half chicken was rather small I thought the breast was a second thigh. I could get over the fact that the food wasn’t that if we would have received better service but there was one cashier that made this terrible her name was Sandra. What happened was that I had already got one refill and we were all pretty thirsty since the food was so dry. When I sent my son and my nephew for a refill Sandra told them they couldn’t get a second refill that we would have to pay. I heard her say that since I was only sitting around the corner. I got up and said it was ok that I would pay for the refill and she charged me for the full price of two new drinks. I politely said that was ok that I would pay and after the transaction was completed I asked for my receipt. She gave me one with just the total and I asked politely if the had one that had the drinks itemized. She said “does it matter?” I felt that was a really rude response especially since I was being so polite. I said yes it matters since I’d like the receipt for my personal records. Another waitress saw that she was being snippy and interfered and was kind enough to give me a new receipt. I don’t know why she was so rude her tone of voice was really bad and I even thanked her but I was so curious as to why she was so aggressive that I asked “why are you being so rude?” She just looked at me as if I asked her for something unreasonable. I never got a response from her and I didn’t expect for one either. All in all it’s not a great place in general food is subpar even for a dive. I hope this review makes it to Sandra so she knows that her comment was the reason I took the time to write this review. And I cleared our table before we left I didn’t leave a tip since the food and the service was bad but I didn’t want to leave them with a dirty table since the person who ended up giving me my receipt was the one cleaning the tables and I have manners

Dairy Queen Grill & Chill – Menu with Prices – 4021 S Gilbert Rd, Chandler

Came here today with my kids for ice cream. I ordered the right items, the assistant mgr got my order wrong, I told her again what I ordered, she got upset and started arguing with me about it, then proceeded to tell me with an attitude that I should’ve looked at the receipt before my kids started eating their ice cream, with her being so rude I grabbed my kids ice cream, went up to the counter and asked for a refund. The assistant mgr proceeds to tell me, “I’m not giving you a refund” i ask why, she says because you ate it all ( one of my daughters ate most of her ice cream which i wasn’t asking for a refund on that one but on the two ice creams that weren’t touched and the cheese curds they just brought out to me) practically yelling at me. Then she says she wasn’t going to give me a refund because I have an attitude. There was a second mgr there that was so sweet and helpful. He told me that I didn’t have an attitude and that I was acting rational and calm and that he was sorry for the way the other mgr handled things, which was completely unprofessional and not right. He said she should’ve handled things differently which I totally agree. She was yelling at me in front of my kids to the point where they walked outside crying because she scared them! What kind of human being does that?! Not to mention I was balling because I was so upset that she upset my kids. That person needs not to work in customer service! Oh and the police were called on, that’s how bad the situation was!

Courtyard by Marriott Clarksville – Menu with Prices – 155 Fair Brook Pl, Clarksville

I was nearly turned away from this place based on a few nasty reviews but took a chance because reviews at all of the other places nearby were even worse. I’m so glad I stayed here! We needed a break from driving because we had been on the road for 10 hours. I showed up with my four kids and husband and Teri was the most welcoming person I’ve ever encountered at a hotel. Usually when we’ve checked in super late to a hotel the front desk is slow moving, grumpy, and unwelcoming. Teri was the complete opposite. Her demeanor was a breath of fresh air from being cooped in a car from so long. The hotel is nothing like I’ve ever seen. I’ve stayed At Courtyard Marriott hotels before but this one sets the bar pretty high. Not at all what I was expecting. There’s a quaint snack shop right by the front desk, a huge seating area in the lobby and across from that there’s a bar/grill area for all of your eating/drinking needs. On the other side of the lobby and seating area, there was a nice outdoor area with a huge fire pit and on this cold evening, the fire was going strong. As if I wasn’t impressed enough already, the king suite was HUGE! There’s a large desk, pull-out sofa, king bed, and spacious bathroom. I am an extremely picky person about linens and always check for spots. I have no problem requesting new linens when I get stains, etc. After reading a few bad reviews, I decided it was important to be thorough with this stay and my “inspection”. I checked this room like I was working for the CDC. I even got to a point where I was lifting up the mattress because I was bound and determined to find SOMETHING. But no. I found nothing. Not so much as a hair. This place checks out. And I didn’t want to check out!! ? I slept great as did the rest of my family. This was our first time in Tennessee but most certainly not our last. We will be back!

Sports & Social Arlington Menu with Prices 1650 E Randol Mill Rd STE 120, Arlington

Where do I begin…this establishment is just horrible. The bartender that was supposed to be taking care of my friends and I (bald head with a brown beard) was extremely rude and unprofessional. We came during the VIP party and certain drinks were $5 and below. My friend had $6 cash and the bartender never brought back her change. So my other friend called him and told him he never brought her change and he replied saying “you’re not going to leave a tip?” And my friend (the one that gave him the cash) was trying to tell him that she would tip him (keep in mind she was going to tip him more than the change itself because she had more cash on her) but before she could finish her sentence he dismissed her in an extremely rude way and walked away. The other bartender (dirty blonde hair) which I understand was busy, was just as rude and dismissive. We asked 4 times for ginger beer and this man had the audacity to give her one that was already used and sitting on the counter. I could not believe what I saw. We called for the manager (black hair with the key card) and she couldn’t care less about the incident. Her apology was half assed, but she did offer us free drinks but why the hell would we want to even stay there after this incident? As we were walking out she stopped us and asked us if we got the free drinks and I replied “no we do not want the drinks” and she was saying how she wanted to make this experience better and such, but we knew it wasn’t genuine. She also had the nerve to say “well my bartender (the one that got an attitude over the tip) says there was miscommunication. I replied “there was no miscommunication he said what he said and he did what he did.” And on top of that he was mocking us with a bunch of men at the bar. Oh and by the way my friends and I are black women and both bartenders including the manager are white. I’m not saying race was the issue, but it could have been a determining factor as to why we were treated this way. In conclusion, last night were my friends first and more than likely last time visiting this bar as well as Texas live. Sports and Social…please hire better staff!

Bennett’s Calabash – Menu with Prices – 2900 N Kings Hwy, Myrtle Beach

We arrived in Myrtle beach was told this place was amazing so we went. They were closing at 9 and we arrived at 8 so we probably should not have stayed but they said it was ok. Our waitress was nice she asked of we wanted unlimited King crab legs for 59 and buffet or 1 lb. 39 and buffet. Something like that so we got 1 lb of king crab legs they arrived over cooked. The meat stayed in the shell when cracked and they were not amazingly good. I should’ve asked for a fresh order but since the night started with they close at 9 it didnt dawn on me. The buffet was hot or miss. The okra and hush puppies were amazing along with the 1st piece of catfish I had. My daughter liked the grouper and the scallops we both liked. The bang bang shrimp were not good or the deviled crab. The brocolli soup was good and the fresh fruit. Someone took a pic and gave us one for free we purchased 2 pics for 20. It was a bust but perhaps it was a combo of things. The vanilla ice cream was broken they were gonna fix it looked at the time and returned to cleaning. They were cleaning the kitchen and employees were eating. It just screamed we are closing when we should have just came back another night. But professional is professional and perhaps I wont come back again. Kids were running around the buffet unattended and there were signs not to do that. Even the manager acknowledged to a waitress they should begin enforcing the 12+ rule….

Cafe Amsterdam Menu with Prices 530 E Benson Blvd #3, Anchorage

This establishment was disappointing with their food and an older woman who worked in the bar was very rude even before she seated us. My family and I visited for lunch, and all had soup and sandwiches. The broccoli cheddar soup was flavorless and watered down. And my chicken salad sandwich wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t great. The others had similar meals and said the same reviews on the food. HOWEVER, the gray short-haired woman working behind the main bar counter was RUDE AND COULD NOT CARE LESS how long we waited. She said several snarky comments before we were even seated. There were several tables open and she did not seat us for 15 minutes until she was “good and ready!” And when I had mentioned we were trying to see if my sister had shown up yet, she said in a baby-doll voice “ok, see if your sister is here. I will be behind this counter when your scan is over.” We wanted to give her the benefit of the doubt to see if she was just having a bad day, but she treated all in-coming customers like that. PLEASE AVOID THIS PLACE. The food is so-so but the service was slow and very rude.

Alazanes Mexican Restaurant & Cantina – Menu with Prices – 14893 Metcalf Ave, Overland Park

I don’t normally venture this far from Downtown, but I’m so glad I did! They weren’t busy at all for lunch, so it was a great place to stop before going to the Museum at Prairie Fire with my Little Man during a week we needed to be indoors because of a week long heat advisory. I started writing this review just from the salsa alone. No thin tomato water here like at most Mexican places! You can tell they put a lot of love and time into the recipes. I had the mild and the hot and I can’t decide which I like better (and I NEVER like mild salsa!) I also liked that their kids menu was really inexpensive. Anybody else hang with a kid that is obsessed with chicken strips? Thankfully they have those or Mac and cheese w/ french fries on the kids menu along with traditional mexican fare in smaller portions for the more adventurous kiddo out there. Okay, lunch just came out. Their lunch prices are a bit more than I’m used to, but so was the portion size! I got the Burrito Suprema I think it was called with el pastor (marinated pork in adobo), my FAVORITE authentic Mexican meat and it’s just so good here! Our server was extremely helpful and informative, even telling me what kids of peppers are in each salsa (though I forgot lol). There’s also a sign advertising Salsa Night on Friday with complimentary lessons! Again, I don’t leave the city, but I may have to for this place. I SO wish they were downtown and not in Leawood, but it’s great if you’re hitting up Prairie Fire, live this far south of the metro, or don’t mind long commutes in traffic that’s literally worse than the city–then this business is DEFINITELY deserving of your patronage!
