Love this place ! The food ! The atmosphere! The staff! Okay, I will start with why I love the food ..There are so many wonderful choices. The fries are the best I have ever had. ( and I love fries and have sampled many in many different places .. I must say the ones at Good Burger are the best by far !) The choice of burgers .. one of my favorites is the bacon chicken ranch burger.. it is so wonderful.. a chicken breast cooked to perfection, no breading which is a definite plus in my book. Bacon done just right, and a brioche bun .. heavenly. They have kids meal options, vegetarian options.. the beyond burger( the vegetarian burger ) is truly amazing. The salads are awesome .. they also have a beautiful beer wall with self filling of your glass with local brew options .. also another thing I live is the atmosphere.. they huge glass garage type doors open up into beautiful outdoor patio seating that is people and dog friendly ( they even supply fresh water for your pooch ! ) 10th and Main is such a beautiful part of downtown Boise .. wonderful to sit there on the patio and be a part of the downtown scene and sit and enjoy some Lucious food and drinks .. the staff .. they seem to really enjoy their jobs ..friendly and helpful and excited to share about the many food options so you can pick your favorite for the day.. I definitely love this place .. it’s my go to with friends and family for a meal out on the town.

Bless Your Heart Burgers 33rd Avenue – Menu with Prices – 5410 NE 33rd Ave, Portland

Located at the former site of Cannon’s Rib Express, Bless Your Heart Burgers (BYH) 33rd Avenue is the second location of BYH and the first location on the east side. There seems to be a lot of hype about BYH’s burgers and I can see why. I wouldn’t say its the best burger in town, but I did really enjoy my Classic Burger (with added sautéed mushrooms and bacon) last night. I love how BYH smashes their burgers to get a super crusty finish on the exterior of the burger. That char added so much flavor to the burger, and the burger was still moist too. The sautéed mushrooms added a nice textural element, though I would skip the bacon next time since it was a bit chewy and definitely low quality. Along with my burger, I also shared Chili Cheese Fries and the Down n Dirty Fries with my partner. Of the two, I’d say the Down n Dirty Fries were my favorite. Both of the fries came with this great beer cheese sauce, but I liked that the Down n Dirty Fries came with griddled onions, peppers, and mushrooms, as I felt like I needed more veggies in my meal due to the use of shredded lettuce in my burger instead of a big piece of lettuce, which is normally my preference. I thought the fries were a tad oily, but still tasty nonetheless.

ela! Greek Taverna Restaurant – Menu with Prices – 215 Chain Lake Dr, Halifax

Great atmosphere and food when it is not over-cooked. I ate here about 4 or 5 times and told my friends about it as it is a very clean and nice place to enjoy a nice meal. The lunch menu is a little cheaper with less food and perfect for us that like to have room for their great desserts. I had the lamb burger and it was over-cooked but I love their Moussaka, vegetarian is what I usually order and love it. Friendly staff always.

FatBurger ASU – Menu with Prices – 681 E Apache Blvd #103, Tempe

I have memories of going with my father to enjoy a burger and fries at Fatburger when there was a location at Desert Ridge Marketplace years ago. It was delicious! But then I hadn’t been back and it’s no longer there. Needless to say, I was quite excited and surprised to learn only yesterday that a new Fatburger location JUST opened up on the ASU Tempe Campus, right around the corner from my office. I jumped to be one of the first people to enjoy a meal there! I jumped at an Original Fatburger and Fat Fries with a glass of water. They do have wings (boneless and bone-in), a chicken sandwich, various other burger sizes (all the way up to the Triple King Fatburger). They also have various types of fries including the sweet potato fries. Finally, in addition to soda, they have some delicious milkshakes. While I didn’t have a shake (yet), two of my colleagues got shakes today and seemed to really enjoy them. There are only a few seats in the location but plenty of seating with shading right outside. All of the staff were very nice and talkative, and the service was very quick and accurate. They gave various suggestions and made recommendations for add-on items. They also were more than willing to answer my questions. The hours are reasonable with summer hours of 11-7 though once the school year starts back up in August, the hours will be extended. My only concern is how pricey it is. A combo meal with a burger/sandwich, fries, and a drink are more than $11, which is quite a bit more than some of their nearby competing restaurants, but the taste is more than worth it! Definitely deserving a visit.

Wibbley’s Burgers Menu with Prices 2255 140th Ave NE B, Bellevue

Took my wife and 2 year old son to Wibbley’s and had a great experience. We went for the dinner rush so it was was pretty busy in there but they handled it well. The owner was training a new chef in the back but also making sure the customers were taken care of. Kid friendly restaurant with toys for the little ones. Together we ordered the Century Burger, Fish and chips, Garlic fries, onion rings and a couple of shakes. The burger was delicious. Just the right amount of blue cheese and the bacon, come on, it’s Bacon, of course it’s good. Great value for $7 or whatever it was. The fish had great breading but I love panko breading. The garlic fries are also on point. Not over powering but enough to enhance the fries. Over all I highly recommend Wibbley’s for a great burger fries and a shake. It’s kido friendly and they staff was awesome!

Kreggers At Hand – Menu with Prices – 2614 W Cary St, Richmond

These guys have been open maybe a week and we’ve already been there twice! The food is wonderful and I absolutely love how they have a separate vegan vegetarian menu. The menu is overflowing with options and you don’t have to wade through to figure out what is vegan and vegetarian. our servers have offered different options and have no problem leaving anything off or make a substitution. My non-vegetarian boyfriend absolutely loves the burgers. He had a burger each visit. He does have a sensitivity to some spices and we didn’t have a problem making a special order for non-seasoned french fries. Our first visit My 15-year-old vegetarian son was with us and he had one of their impossible burgers. I could not believe the size of it! I had a black bean mushroom burger that was so enormous I had to cut it in half. I love having the option of getting fried green beans as a side instead of french fries. I enjoyed the second half of my black bean burger for lunch the next day and it was just as delicious. On our second visit I got the jackfruit potachos that were recommended by our server Hannah. The jackfruit bbq was incredible! They were. also enormous and I took more than half of them half of them home. The place is cozy and they have a really cool outdoor bar and patio with this awesome flaming table. It’s been too cold for us to enjoy it yet but we plan to bring a group of friends there one day to hang out there. The inside is cozy you just have to be careful not to sit too close to a door or it might get a little drafty. In warm weather it looks like they have the option to open up the glass wall to the patio and give more space. I love that they don’t keep the music so loud that you can’t hear the person talking to you across the table. They do keep it a little dark for my taste but we didn’t find a problem. The only problem I had was reading the vegetarian menu that’s because the font is small and I’m getting old. The best part was the awesome service from Hannah on our second visit. She really put us in a great mood. A great server really can make your night. It was so refreshing to have such a gracious delightful host in a town full of lousy service and snarky too cool for school attitudes. You will not find that at Kreegers. You will find great service and awesome food with options for everyone. We plan to be regulars. **** After many visits, we have noticed an issue that has kept us from coming back more often. The stereo volume! We tend to be late lunchers so we will often come in at two or three in the afternoon and be the only customers (or one of just a few) and the volume is turned up so high we can’t even hear each other. We really have avoided going there many times because of the volume. Almost every time we’ve been in the past several months we’ve had to ask them to turn down the volume because we can’t hear each other across the table. Sometimes it’s like nightclub volume and there’s no one in there. I would understand if it was nine-o’clock at night and the place was packed and the music was loud -that would be more appropriate but in the middle of the afternoon or early dinner time I don’t expect to not be able to hear the people I’m dining with. One of the servers told us it was the owners policy that they had very rigid guidelines on how things should go which I totally respect. The standards at Kroger’s are great but the standards on the stereo volume needs to be reconsidered. It’s crazy and we don’t go there as much anymore because it’s just too damn loud.

Burger Bar Fort Wayne – Menu with Prices – 223 W Jefferson Blvd Suite 101, Fort Wayne

The Burger Bar is located in the Hampton Inn & Suites next to the ball park. I was waiting outside with other people but there didn’t seem to be anyone working at the window, so I went inside. There was only one cashier during my visit, so all the people waiting to order inside were served first before those waiting outside on the patio. You can order inside if you plan to eat on the patio, so just something to consider if you find yourself in the same situation. Make sure to check-in on Yelp so you can get free fries with your burger. There are also other promotions that will get you freebies, like free fries on Fridays, and $2 Milkshakes on Tuesdays. The September shake of the month is Carmel Apple. I tried it and really liked it. I also ordered the Crispy Chicken Tender Sandwich. It comes with sriracha mayo, but can be changed for other sauces if you prefer. I stayed with the sriracha mayo, and I’m glad I did. It went well with the chicken. My only gripe would be that I wish the chicken sandwich was one piece instead of three tenders. Keeping it all together and not falling apart was not impossible, but I still ended up with half a chicken tender slipping out of the sandwich. While the menu is limited, there are enough good options. Burger Bar kind of reminds me of a Shake Shack – great shakes, chicken, burgers, and fries.

Good Burger Menu with Prices 350 N Milwaukee St, Boise

This place has a prime location but it wasn’t enough to warrant a return visit. Located in the heart of Downtown Boise, Good Burger serves veggie burgers, chicken and beef options, along with milkshakes, French fries and side salads. Pricing is affordable, with fries starting at $2.95 for a small and burgers ranging in the $7-$9 price point. When we arrived on a Friday night, the floors were sticky, the line was hard to navigate (you have to walk through the crowded tables, and multiple items on the menu were not available. They don’t have any gluten free items (gluten was in the veggie burgers and even the fries), and they mentioned they were out of ice cream since 4 pm…it was 8 pm when we arrived. I just had the fries as the female helping us order let me know she found their veggie burger to be gross (usually places just say it isn’t their favorite) and they were out of ice cream. My brother had their BBQ burger but they forgot to remove the cheese. The food tastes like fast food and even though the location is great, you’ll easily spend $16 + tax and tip for a burger drink or milkshake and fries. The portions also seem to be average to small which was a little disappointing given the price/quality. If you’re really craving a quick eats downtown, this definitely is a spot a lot of people visit. However, if you want a good veggie burger/gluten-free items, or more artisan options for the same price, consider some of the other American restaurants downtown.

Cleats Bar & Grille – Menu with Prices – 5801 N Aurelius Rd, Lansing

Eh, not deserving of 5 star review that it has here. Atmosphere looks fun with a cool patio and I’m sure if you were watching soccer out at the Hope complex it would be nice, but that’s a pretty niche market. Waitress and chef were friendly. I ordered take out. Annoyed off the start because was told it would be “10 minutes.” Needless to say that was inaccurate and I got my food about 30 mins later. Western burger was actually pretty good. Pickle chips also good. Fries not so good (kind of soggy). I may order again or enjoy the patio some night. But no way I could give this place 5 stars.

Kauboi Izakaya – Menu with Prices – 1286 S Virginia St, Reno

I’m not sure how I’ve missed this place for so long! Kauboi is a great spot for groups of people to enjoy a delicious meal. I say “groups of people” because this is really Japanese tapas, and there are so many menu options that you will want to try a little bit (or a lot of bit) of everything; so the more the merrier! Luckily for me, and for many of you, there are wonderful vegan and vegetarian options here. I had the Vegetarian Ramen, Mushroom Gyoza, Edamame, and Veggie Tempura. I did not go home hungry. The breakdown– The Vegetarian Ramen: plentiful, and much more flavorful than many other veggie ramens I have had elsewhere before. The Mushroom Gyoza: yes, yes, a thousand times yes! Whenever there is a vegetarian dumpling option, I seize the day. This particular dumpling was seared perfectly and absolutely divine. The Edamame: standard. The Veggie Tempura: the most deliciously salty, savory, crunchy dish. This was easily one of the best tempuras I have had in my life. My dinner partners enjoyed a variety of meat and seafood dishes including Giant Squid, Chicken Hearts, Crab Croquettes, Shrimp Fritters, Fried rice with Crispy Duck. The list goes on. Kauboi does not take reservations, and they do not do to-go orders, which I admire. This tells me that Kauboi is unwilling to compromise the integrity of their food, as well as the quality of service to their customers that are already seated and awaiting a good meal. The service was more than friendly and the cocktails were on point. I can’t wait to come back!

The River’s Edge – Menu with Prices – 1150 Warfield Blvd suite b, Clarksville

First time in and was really pleased. We sat outside on the patio and at first the weather was nice and over cast but as soon as the sun came out we quickly raised the umbrella and it was getting a little warm. I do however suggest on cooler days or overcast days to sit out on the patio and enjoy the weather and scenery. Wait staff knowledgeable and very nice. indoors looks tyipciall grill/bar décor with tall wooden back booths etc but everything is very clean and NO bar “smell” of sour beer and liquor ? We decided to skip the 20 minute lunch they were offering and just do appetizers as we weren’t terribly hungry, also nothing on the quick lunch menu really fancied either of us. Went with Dirty fries and wings, you get 10 wings and can get more than 1 flavor on the plate. We got maple bacon and parmesan garlic, both were wonderful but my preference was the parm garlic as the other was just ok my daughter LOVED the maple bacon one so it worked out. the dirty fries were enough for 3-4 people easily. I wasn’t expecting the chili with beans on it, it seems to make the fries a little soggy. I don’t like beans in my chili but there wasn’t a lot and easily picked out. I will say the chili did not look canned- it looked fresh made. hard to taste just the chili underneath all the cheesy topping and bacon though. We will be back as the wings are HUGE and not lacking in flavor!

Chuck Lager America’s Tavern – Menu with Prices – 4500 Linden Hill Rd, Wilmington

Visited today for brunch and ordered the Bombolini breakfast burger – which is basically a cheeseburger with fluffy donut buns, fried egg, and sriracha aioli. It comes with fries smothered in syrup with bits of bacon. To get the simple things out of the way, first I’ll say the service was fast and friendly. The burger, however, I will not order again. My interpretation of a fried egg is cooked all the way through.. the yolk was not. I got the burger well done and it was very dry. I got the aioli on the side and it was ok, but I don’t like sriracha. Seems like whoever created this meal thought the aioli would carry the flavor of the burger. Lastly, my least favorite were the fries. It was weird, but kind of made sense in the beginning. I liked it at first but I’m not a fan of the overwhelming smell of maple syrup. About halfway through eating the fries I got an upset stomach. I think the fries were really innovative but it was definitely too sweet and too much sugar.. the meal wasn’t salty sweet like it should have been it was just…. sweet. The sugar on the buns taste like cotton candy, the meat was dry and had no flavor.. I think this meal needs to be revisited by the chef.. The preparation of the burger needs work, but I think maybe substitute the fries for sweet potato fries or something salty. This did not work for me and now my stomach hates me. It was just… odd. I thought the burger would be up my alley because I have a weird obsession with chocolate and sugar, but it’s not something I see anyone else enjoying, unless they love syrup smothered food. I would return and try the lunch/dinner menu and desserts though.

Goose Port Sports Bar & Public House – Menu with Prices – 316 Vernon St, Roseville

Life is good when you’re enjoying fine food, great beer, and mainline railroad action, in the dining room, or on the beautiful patio of Goose Port, located in downtown Roseville. During the 20+ years we’ve been living in Roseville, the city has transformed Vernon Street from a neglected urban backwater to a vibrant, clean, tree-lined street, lined with restaurants, shops, and many entertainment and recreation options. As of this writing, Goose Port as been in business for only two months, and they are truly a welcome addition to the “hip” atmosphere generated along Vernon Street. As I walked in the door, I was greeted by the friendly staff, including Danielle, who was working the bar, and who took my order. There is a “Please Wait to be Seated” sign, but since I arrived only a few minutes past the 1130 opening time, seating was not a problem. Despite the fact that the bar, and the dining room were inviting, I chose to sit outside on the patio. The dining room is large, spacious, clean, and is light and cheerful, thanks to the large windows that look out to Vernon Street – the main street in Roseville – and offer a view of “life on Vernon Street,” as you enjoy a fine meal, or a cold beer. The furniture is composed of tables, chairs and high, long tables, with stools. The dining room has a total of seven large television monitors, that can be tuned to ANY sporting event, as Goose Port subscribes to sports packages that cover College and NFL football, MLB, and NBA action. The owner of the restaurant, Al, pointed out to me that tables can be arranged to be clustered around television screens of a particular event, so those cheering – or booing the opposing team – can sit together during any sporting event. Why seven television monitors? During NFL season, there are seven games played in the morning and afternoon – with one game in the evening – so no matter what game interests you, it’s shown, and you can sit with like-minded fans. I’ll keep this in mind later this year when the New Orleans Saints are playing, as their games are rarely televised on the cable package we subscribe to. Since today was in the middle of June, the television monitors we all about Major League Baseball. The food menu features all of your “pub food” favorites. The other side of the menu highlights the beer, wine and mixed drink selection. After looking over the menu, I settled on the “Goose Port Burger,” as I love a burger of any variety. All of my life, I’ve been interest in railroads, railroad action, watching trains, and in addition to being a “foodie,” I’m a “railfan.” The patio allows you to enjoy your food, sip your beer, and watch big-time railroad action in progress, thanks to the nearby Union Pacific mainline. The menu describes the “Goose Port Burger” as, “1/3 pound chuck, bacon, cheddar, lettuce, tomato, pickle, pita seed bun, with Goose Port sauce. Served with fries.” The presentation is a work of art, but the burger is even better than the presentation! The burger starts with a one-third pound patty of ground chuck, cooked your way; in my case, I ordered it cooked medium, and that’s the way it was delivered to me. The patty was cooked perfectly, as it was juicy tender, and delicious. I have never had a burger on a pita seed bun before, but the bun was fresh, chewy, yet firm, as you could actually eat the burger with one hand, and it all stayed together. The bacon was cooked medium as well, and added a smoky goodness to the burger, and truly enhanced the delicious package. The lettuce, tomato and pickle were super fresh, and the sauce was so great that I didn’t add any mustard, which is a de facto standard condiment of mine. I didn’t notice the cheddar – was it really there? – but I didn’t care, as the burger was standalone amazing delicious with, or without the cheese. This is a GREAT bur
