Belair Donuts provided us with the the food fuel we needed to make it back to Atlanta after several days in Augusta. We stopped mid-morning on a Saturday and they were already either out or almost out of a lot of their items–which shows their popularity! I was able to snag the last kolache and my sister snagged their last bagel for her breakfast sandwich. If we had arrived any later we would have been disappointed if we didn’t get our savory breakfast items. We also decided to get a couple blueberry donuts for the road, which we both devoured later. Their shop is not big and it doesn’t have much atmosphere but they excel at their donuts and pastries. I also got a hazelnut latte with almond milk, which was tasty. The spicy sausage kolache I ordered had a sweet pastry wrapped around the delicious sausage. I was very good. My sister enjoyed her bagel breakfast sandwich as well. The blueberry donut was good but I imagine other ones like their red velvet would likely be better. Their other fancy options were all gone so maybe if you come early enough you have more options. They definitely get points for creativity with the “paint your cookie”. This would be a dream for a kid to have a sweet treat and also be able to decorate it themselves by using the color sugar to “paint” the cookie. Overall a cool local spot and they also have a drive-through window if you know what you want to order and don’t want to come inside to look around.

Westgreen Donuts & Kolaches – Menu with Prices – 1603 N Westgreen Blvd Suite #130, Katy

Am I the only one who thinks about donuts daily but rarely buys them? Well, if you’re like me, you want to maximize your donut buying experience by coming here. OMG, let me count the ways: 1. Great customer service: If your donut of choice is not in the case, just tell them and the staff may just make one fresh for you! 2. The pork and venison sausage kolache is a meal in itself. The sausage is savory, high quality and the bread pastry is soft and tender. 3. The specialty donuts are fresh, fancy and fabulous tasting. I came here especially to get the strawberry shortcake donut that I saw on Yelp and Instagram and after waiting a few minutes, I had a box of 3 to bring home to share. 4. Inside the shop is clean with tables and chairs to enjoy your delights for here or to wait for your to go order. 5. They will automatically microwave any kolache to the perfect temp. 6. The prices are low. Come get ’em while they’re hot and fairly underrated. I am seriously thinking of hosting a weekend breakfast UYE here, but only the strong and dedicated donut lovers would wake up before noon on a weekend. #amiright PS: follow them on IG: wg_donuts_kolaches for some donut craving inspo

Fresh Start Market and Espresso – Menu with Prices – 3020 Center St NE, Salem

I used to love going to this place for a quick breakfast. But we went today without having gone for awhile and the quality has gone waaaaaaaay down hill. We ordered a plain bagel, toasted, with cream cheese and a bagel sausage breakfast sandwich. The biggest issue was the breakfast sandwich. What we got, was a microwaved Jimmy Dean biscuit sandwich. This is obviously not a bagel sandwich. Also, even if I had been okay with a biscuit sandwich, I definitely don’t want a gross, greasy, msg filled, microwaved sandwich. But even the plain bagel with cream cheese was a failure. The bagel itself was terrible. It was thin, dense and very dry. When they toasted it, it got even drier and was burnt in places. And the tiny serving of cream cheese they provided barely covered one side of the bagel. This was a huge let down. However! I do have to say, I went here for lunch a couple of weeks ago and got a black bean burger that was very good. So, go ahead and give it a shot for lunch, but for breakfast, you are better off just buying something in the frozen section and microwaving it yourself. It would probably be cheaper and you’d at least be able to pick out something you actually want.

Ray’s Donut Shop – Menu with Prices – 4805 Canton Rd, Marietta

Stopped in after church to grab a quick snack for me and my sons. Got a couple of sprinkled iced donuts, a donut twist, 4 donut holes, and an apple fritter. The price was something ridiculous like under five bucks. Just to make it worthwhile, I added a toasted blueberry bagel and then tipped generously because of the courtesy shown to us by the staff. The best part though? That first bite of the plain donut twist! Holy donut holes, Batman!!! That had to be one of the best donuts that I’ve ever tasted! The fritter, the bagel, and even the little donut holes were delicious too. My sons loved their sprinkled iced donuts as well. (I did share the apple fritter, donut holes, and blueberry bagel with them… but it was hard… ) Your job now is to go get yourself a donut from Ray’s too!

Ball Donuts Menu with Prices 2121 E Ball Rd, Anaheim

You know when you are hooked on these new creative donuts and you just happen to find a name you thought was one of those hip locations, but when you pay a visit, its NOT. Yup, they got me. With only 20 Reviews, my suspicions were correct. It was just a local donut shop that is on Ball Road. If you just want a good cheap donut, come by Ball Donuts in Anaheim. Honestly, I know I would be pushing it to go to a specialty donut place during my lunch break. So, I saw the name on Yelp and said, “Let’s Go!” Located on the north side of Ball Road behind the car wash in a small shopping strip, you will find, Ball Donuts. Parking is tight when you have so many cars parking in angles and delivery trucks blocking the path. Ball Donuts opens everyday at 4am. Whoa…I wonder who is awake at 4am. It would make sense at 5am, At 4 am, that where they serve their best and HOTTEST donuts. Unfortunately for me, I came in at noon and they didn’t have much of a selection left. And they close at 8pm? Not much left for choices by the end of the day. I was greeted by an elderly Asian lady. Apparently, other Yelpers have met her too. She was very warm in her welcome. She automatically wanted me to try the Blueberry Donut. Blueberry Donut?! I’ve never heard of that before. I saw it, but it was hard to tell it was a Blueberry Donut. So, I got a Blueberry, a glazed, and a lemon-filled sugar donut ($2.95). I don’t have a price on a dozen donuts, but she quoted me for three dozen donuts for $8.50. Not bad for those large workplaces who devour their donuts. When I brought to my donuts back, I had to dissect it. The first one on my list is the lemon-filled powdered donut. Before I even tried to open, it looks like Ball Donuts slices their donuts versus injecting the donuts. I wasn’t sure if its classified as a donut or a sandwich. Yeah, it may have been made out of cake batter, but it was cut like a sandwich… A lot of the filling was on one side of the donut. It wasn’t really spread out evenly. I didn’t feel heavy eating it and that was a DONUT! However, I did fall asleep for a bit. Must be the side effects of a delicious donut. The highlight of the visit wasn’t the lemon-filled powdered donut. It was the Blueberry Donut. OK, it wasn’t decorated any special, but it was made out of BLUEBERRY! You’ve tried a Red Velvet Donut! Then try a Blueberry Donut. Its fruity and with the light glaze, I still didn’t feel guilty for having it. Overall, Ball Donuts is a family shop. Its a small family donut shop. I love how I was greeted, love the price, and the donuts were just as good without the fancy donut names. I am all for small business and if you want to feed the morning crowd at work and donuts is the only thing you are after, come to Ball Donuts. They’ll be ready for you and your large orders. Still trying to not laugh when I hear the name, Ball Donuts. Yelp…My passion is not to write my reviews, but to share my experiences with you. Take that journey and share your story.

Q Donut & Kolaches – Menu with Prices – 7750 Moffett Rd #102, Mobile

This is part of the Lickin’ Good family but they’re open until 2pm. Great donuts, Kolaches, and breakfast sandwiches. Check them out for a sweet treat. The doughnuts are fantastic, light not greasy or too cakey. You can’t go wrong with any of them. The glaze is a favorite. The apple fritter, see the pic, is so very good. It’s moist, Full of apples and fried to a delicious crisp and it’s huge. If I can’t decide, I get the donut holes, light airy with just enough icing and there is a generous amount in the bag. This is my go to doughnut shop. And if I was here for breakfast, I’d add that incredible boudin Kolache. The bread on that Kolache is better than a croissant and with boudin, it a must. Check them out.

Donut Palace – Menu with Prices – 3300 Western Center Blvd #104, Fort Worth

Donut and kolache shop right by Ace Hardware. Inexpensive and gets the craving satisfied. We paid $10 for two glazed, two chocolate donuts, one ham and cheese croissant, and one Jalepeno pig kolache. I enjoyed the plain glazed donut the most after I microwaved it for 10 seconds. If they had been just out of the fryer, I bet it would have been even better. The chocolate donut was meh. I wouldn’t recommend it unless your kid is insisting. The jalepeno pig kolache was very good. The jalepeno certainly came through. I’m giving three stars because I wasn’t blown away at the taste of the donuts and kolaches, but I would return since it is so close to where I live and is reasonably priced.

Donut Palace – Menu with Prices – 6024 Broadway Blvd, Garland

We know this place is made of love. The owner are the most sweetest morning humans ever. The donuts have so much flavor. Not too overly sweet. The bacon donut is my favorite. The donuts never over or under cook. They also have cute friendly designed donuts. Want a Cookie Monster one ? They have it!!!!! They also have savory breakfast donuts like sammiches. My coworker loves it when I bring donuts to work cause they are just too good. Better come try it out yourself to know my hype.

On Your Mark Cafe – Menu with Prices – 639 Forest Ave, Staten Island

I ate in here for breakfast with the guy I am currently dating. I have had food from this place before, but never ate-in until yesterday. Like Heather (my sister-in-law) said, it is funded by “On Your Mark.” Your order is taken by and served by the consumers (People who utilize the services of OYM. I had pancakes with bacon. Matt had eggs with hash-browns, bacon and a bagel. We also had 2 bottles of water. Our breakfast bill came to $6.25. Our conversation during the meal: FYI Matt and I are both Jewish. Matt: This a really good bagel. I think it’s the best I ever had. Me: Now is it a good bagel that tastes like regular bread,? or a good bagel as in a JEWISH bagel? Matt: Jewish bagel, wanna try a piece? Me: (Makes “this is the best i’ve ever had face”) Matt: You don’t like it? Me: NOOO I love it! This IS a Jewish bagel.

Donut Haven Menu with Prices 295 Rucker Rd #170, Alpharetta

Donut Haven has got it going onnn. They know donuts! We went on a Saturday morning and we knew it had to be good bc the line was all the way at the door! They have tons of different donuts to choose from and waiting in line built up so much anticipation. It was hard to choose which ones because they all looked so good! I locked in my choice after drooling all over the counter and chose the blueberry donut (blueberry is my all time fav anything so of course I’m a little biased) and I got some sausage rolls. The sausage rolls were awesome! The breading around them wasn’t overdone or too dense, just a nice fluffy bread padding around a delicious piece of sausage! Now the blueberry…. this blueberry was on FIRE. I almost turned around and ordered 3 more they were so good. The donut it self had an amazing texture, from the softness of it to the perfect moistness of the glaze on top. 10/10 recommend! Make sure you stop by this place on your way to work or pick up a dozen for the family! Whatever you’re doing you have to stop and check out this place!!

BreadHive Bakery & Cafe – Menu with Prices – 402 Connecticut St, Buffalo

I’ve had a few people rave about the breakfast sandwiches here, so I finally got to give them a shot after a night out in Buffalo. I now understand the hype! I came here with two others on a Sunday morning around 10am. The shop on the inside is small but had a few booths and tables. They have a good outdoor seating section though, which was perfect on this warm, sunny morning. When we showed up, there were a few people sitting outside and a couple inside and we virtually didn’t have to wait in line at all. The menu, in my opinion, is perfectly sized with a variety of breakfast sandwich and lunch sandwich options, a wide variety of bagels, pretzel rolls, and other types of breads, as well as pastries and desserts. They also appeared to have a good amount of vegan items on the menu too. The staff behind the counter were very conscientious and easy to talk to. So I was told to try “The Aaliyah” breakfast sandwich (scrambled eggs, house breakfast sausage, cheddar cheese, butter, and maple syrup) on a bagel for my first time here. So I ordered that on a Rosemary Salt bagel and a cup of coffee. The price for the sandwich and coffee came in just under $10, which I thought was pretty fair. Afterwards, I sat outside and sipped on my cup of joe with my party and it seemed like maybe ten minutes passed and each of our sandwiches were ready. So first thing I noticed was how big this thing was! The amount of egg and cheese was perfect! What really sets this sandwich off though is the breakfast sausage: it was cooked perfectly and had a little spice to it (maybe sage?) and was tender and just so fresh. The maple syrup helped to balance the flavor out between the egg and breakfast sausage and it was not dumped on the sandwich, it was just the right amount where you could tell it was there. I’m not a huge bagel guy, but man, that Rosemary Salt bagel was phenomenal and had a nice chew to it. I’m glad they wrap the sandwich when they serve it though because it feels like the fillings want to slide right off. The sandwich itself though was perfectly sized though as that with a cup of coffee set my day off right and left me very satisfied! I’m very impressed by this little place! I would love to come back and try one of their lunch sandwiches but would be just as happy to order another “Aaliyah”. ?

Hruska’s Kolaches – Menu with Prices – 2030 S 900 E, Salt Lake City

I’ve heard about this place for so long and also heard that they run out of pastries quickly. So it’s a high recommendation to go earlier in the day or you won’t get any. Once they run out they are done for the day. I did an advance order cause I was ordering a big order. This place specializes in kolaches. It’s a very delicious pastry filled with either a savory stuffing or a sweet fruit stuffing. The savory ones are stuffed and one will definitely be enough for breakfast. I ordered both the savory and sweet one. The egg kolache is very delicious and the Mexican kolache was also very good. The egg stuff kolache is a very good breakfast or brunch. The Mexican one has eggs and a slight tangy taste to it. There is other veggies in there but I didn’t recognize it. The fruit sweet ones are delicious. It’s not too sweet go it’s still perfect for breakfast. I do prefer the fruit only ones over the one with cream cheese. Highly recommend this place. And I also heard that they have a Saturday once a year that they do all you can kolaches. Worth it!!!!!

Donut Licious – Menu with Prices – 1535 Spring Cypress Rd, Spring

I saw this place rotated around a thread on Facebook… they say donut licious is the place to go for cafe sua da and donuts. Most people are like .. those don’t mix, and lots of people that say they do! I had to try…. Photos look sketch from the outside like a plain ol little donut shop. You transform when you walk in. Cute succulents everywhere, clean and simple design for the interior. A huge menu on chalk board… and your mind fills with indecisiveness. You’re greeted by the owners, a sweet couple that will solve all your problems by directing you to the most popular donuts! I’m looking and so distracted because of all the options. I see it, I found it, it’s the one. I chose pandan flavor.. because wow.. I’ve never seen pandan flavor donuts not in Chinatown. I instantly knew what I want.. give me Boudain kolache!!! Omg crab Rangoon kolache…. wait! Also add on jalapeño popper kolaches!!!! Hit me with that cafe sua da too please! Yussssss! They also take Apple Pay! It’s such a cute place, it’s popular, they have pumpkin spice, and when you come.. you actually want to just sit there and enjoy donuts. They did a great job, and when I get married I’m gonna totally have them do a donut tower for me! Enjoy y’all!!!
