My son discovered this joint back in February when we flew in from CA for an audition at BSU. We were staving and freezing and it was close by. As we drove up I hesitated. It’s pretty hole-in-the-wall-ish and the parking lot is somewhat undeclared. But again, we were starving! What we discovered was a gem. Tin Roof Tacos has a seemingly endless list of $2-2.75 gourmet tacos, freshly constructed on their assembly line, and delicious! $1 chips & salsa, $3 chips & guac…unlimited chip refills…and craft beer! Given the low prices, we ordered too much assuming that the tacos would be measly. They were not!! Loaded with meat & toppings. This week we have returned with our family of five to move our son into his dorm, go Broncos!!! Of course, my son and I wanted to take everyone to TRT’s and share our experience. My husband seemed unsure as we approached. There was not an open table but we found seats at the bar. (Sit here! Watching the taco assembly is magical) Again, we ordered way too much but ate ALL of it and as we left, my husband said “I plan to eat here everyday until we leave!” And he passed up ice cream at night because he plans to “eat my weight in tacos tomorrow!” #addicted As Californians, we are familiar w/tacos & authentic tacos…these are as good as any & what constitutes “authentic”, really?!? Fresh/Creative/Delicious What more can you ask for?

Damian’s Cajun Soul Cafe Menu with Prices 185 S Watson Rd #101, Arlington

So me and partner went to visit one of our fave Texas restaurants in Arlington, and it’s a small spot that everyone goes to and it gets crowded fast so everyone just blend in together at the tables and feast, today June 12th,2019 we went and it was very crowded we saw that there were two seats open at the end of the table nothing there so I placed my sunglasses to hold our spot while we wait in line to place our orders , the table next to us had sunglasses and phones as they were holding their spot, now keep in mind this is a tight spot now #SallySeatPatrol approached me and told me i couldn’t sit at the table because it was a party of 7 I said okay no problem remove my things….then as I paid attention it was only 5 of them and there were 7 seats at the table so two seats were left open and a table (same table I placed my things on to hold) I started to speak up showing my fustration loud enough for her to hear me, oh and they heard me because the guy told her it’s not 7 of us it’s 5 she didn’t say anything then moments later she tried to touch me saying oh I thought it was 7 of us I told her don’t touch me! she knew she messed up so anyways they table of 5 went back to their seats and spread out their food all over the table so no one would sit with them, they even moved back to the seats I put my glasses at and left two seats open and placed a tray on the table, another lady saw and end telling I can sit with her, at that point I was furious but I kept my calm I didn’t really want to cause a scene but I’m sure the whole spot knew what was up because they came to my table asking me is everything alright it was a cool spot I didn’t want to fuck shit up so I said nah I’m good almost lost my appetite but the fried pork chops was too good to let #Sallyseatpatrol steal my joy.

La Taqueria Downtown – Menu with Prices – 236 Grove St, Jersey City

If you are craving authentic tacos in the JC area, look no further. No, they don’t service chicken tacos. No, don’t ask for cheese on your tacos…that’s not what this place is about. They do a great job keeping the food authentic and delicious. Let me start by saying the inside is small and loud but the outdoor patio is amazing! Plenty of room and a fun atmosphere and also much less hot and stuffy! There is almost always a wait here and you need to make sure your entire party is there before you even think about trying to be seated lol trust me…it won’t work. The food is very good. They start by bringing out fresh delicious chips and heavenly salsa. Do yourself a favor and Never say no to the guac. You will be full of regret if you do. It is creamy and flavorful. Perfect combination with those dope chips. The tacos like I mentioned before are very authentic. My favorites are the carnitas and the fish tacos. I’m craving them as I write this review. They have a lot of unique taco options as well like stomach, tongue, and salted beef if you are feeling more adventurous. They have a variety of drinks as well. The margaritas are STRONG. You’ll be feeling yourself after one or two of those. If you enjoy fresh, authentic food in a fun atmosphere, get yourself over to this place immediately.

Rocco’s Tacos & Tequila Bar – Menu with Prices – 9123 Strada Pl #7135, Naples

First time to Roccos and it was overall a good experience. I sat at the bar with a friend during Happy Hour and it was extremely busy. Their Happy Hour Prices are VERY good. I loved the decor walking in and the place was buzzing. It took about 5 mins for someone to come up to us for our order – understandable as they were very busy. We each ordered a drink off the happy hour menu $5 each. Then we ordered chips to share ($2), a chicken taco ($2) and a beef taco. Drinks: They were very strong but delicious – I only needed one! Food: The chips and salsa were delicious. They put seasoning on their chips so I asked that I get half of the chips plain and half seasoned. I liked the seasoning, just not a lot of it. The pico was simple but tasty. The tacos were alright, not super authentic but tasty enough for $2. Atmosphere: The decor is nice and there are high ceilings inside. The bar is extremely crowded with little space between each chair. Also, it is very hot during the summer and they keep the window open between the bar and the outdoors. It would be nice to have a little more AC. Service: It is hard to service 55-60 people at a bar, but it makes it more difficult when they are no assigned sections for the bartender. The bartenders float around the bar, and you do not know who to wave down when you need something. The service was poor until the bartender Victoria approached us. She was very nice and gave us quick service for the remainder of our stay. Overall, great atmosphere, food and drinks! Service needs to improve at the bar – I think the solution would be assigned sections. Can’t wait to come back ?

Casa Maria Express – Menu with Prices – 500 Outlet Mall Blvd suite 520, St. Augustine

If you haven’t been over to the St.Augustine outlets yet, I don’t blame you. It’s dead here on this side of the outlets, but Casa Maria Express is seriously a hidden gem! They have authentic tacos (best FL can offer) that are simple and so delicious. And if you love and eat tacos as often as I do, you’d know there’s a difference between Americanized tacos and Mexican tacos. American tacos have a lot of fluff (which is good don’t get me wrong!), but Casa Maria skips that fluff and give you just the meat and tortilla-like I said, simple and delicious. Their surf and turf taco is probably my favorite, and all tacos come with chips and salsa. If your love tacos, you gotta go now and try this place!

Filiberto’s Mexican Food – Menu with Prices – 8825 S Jewel St, Tempe

Filled with regret for choosing this location. I was pulled in by their tractor beam of “new location” flags, assuming (incorrectly) it would be a good experience. Came with my husband and infant and we dined inside for lunch. I initially wanted a California burrito, but when my husband ordered a combo plate with a burrito and enchilada, that sounded good (plus I realized I would also get and enchilada and rice and beans for like $1.00-$1.50 more than what we’d be spending on just the Cali burrito). I asked to change my order, and while the gal complied, she did so with a hint of attitude. Asked what to drink and I asked for a horchata, to which she answered that was extra and the combo only came with a soft drink. Okaaaaay… just charge us extra? Nope, just handed me a cup. At this point I just wanted my food. Got some soft drink and poured salsas at the salsa bar and looked aroundfor the chips… couldn’t find any, so had to go ask attitude girl where their chips were, to which she replied that they were extra and we had to pay for them. I said “oh, that’s odd, other locations have them out” and she was quick to snap “not all locations are the same.” Okaaaaay. Went back to our table and told my husband and we were like alrighty then. Food came out and my burrito was waaay bigger than his was (should have snapped a photo). Appeared decent. Halfway through I had to go to restroom to change a diaper and discovered they had no changing table… had to come back out for stroller and change her lying back on her stroller with diaper mat. Inconvenient af. Decided to take rest of food to go. Just opened it up to reheat at home and discovered there are FRENCH FRIES IN MY CALIFORNIA BURRITO. Um, please explain to me HOW a Mexican food chain doesn’t have proper POTATOES to put in their burritos?! Just lazy that day? Whatever the explanation is, we won’t be back. Location on Baseline is great (with CHIPS btw, and POTATOES in my breakfast burritos), and so is Chandler. I’ll drive just to avoid another repeat experience. Bye, Filiberto’s on Warner.

El Jalisco Grill – Menu with Prices – 1813 Ennis Joslin Rd ste 113, Corpus Christi

Wow! Best Mexican food I’ve had since moving to Texas over three years ago. We came here after a catastrophe of a dinner on North padre last night. We’re visiting during a super busy holiday weekend and came here for a late lunch around 2pm. We didn’t have to wait for a table. The establishment is in a newer strip mall so I was unsure of how authentic it would be. My whole family was pleasantly surprised. It’s definitely authentic Tex mex! The service was fantastic and everything we ate was so good. The chips were hot and homemade, the salsa and guacamole was fresh, and the chili con queso was so good. Between everyone at our table, we ordered the mixed fajitas, the carne asada, the chipotle enchiladas, and two kids taco plates. I am not kidding when I say, EVERYTHING was fantastic. The tortillas are made fresh/homemade and the portions were very generous. There was enough to take home leftovers. Our server (pretty girl with bright red lipstick) was very attentive and friendly and so was the male waiter who assisted. We will definitely be back here the next time we’re in town!!

Los Chilangos Menu with Prices 14008 NE 8th St, Bellevue

Taqueria Los Chilangos is a solid food truck, serving Mexican favorites. Its truck is located at the Shell gas station at the intersection of 8th and 140th, where they’re open all day. I came here to grab some quick dinner for my boyfriend and me, as I was in the area for a meeting and spotted Taqueria Los Chilangos’ truck. I ordered five tacos, two with carnitas, two with al pastor and one with chupa cabras. For also checking in on Yelp I got free chips and salsa. On a Tuesday around 7pm, there were quite a few people waiting out in the cold for the goods. Of all the tacos, I actually thought the chupa cabras was the best. It’s not something I’d normally choose with street tacos, as it’s a combination of carne asada and chorizo, but I definitely recommend trying it. I’ve never seen this meat option at other taquerias, which is what intrigued me the most. I’m glad it ended up being a favorite. The al pastor tacos were also good, especially with the pineapple on top, which I think all al pastor tacos should have! But the carnitas, which is usually my go-to protein of choice with street tacos, was sadly, disappointing. Meat was very dry; therefore, it was bland. Stick with the chupa cabras and al pastor meats. In addition to tacos, the menu has a lot to offer, including breakfast served all day! (One of these days I’m gonna get a breakfast burrito.) They also have two different salsas that you can choose from, as well as various flavors of Jarritos. There isn’t seating outside of the truck – only a standing table, so not sure if when the weather fares better are when the seats bust out. At least you can park here and eat your grub in your car, which I noticed a few patrons doing. No shame.

Campestre Mexican Bar and Grill – Menu with Prices – 910 Beaumont Centre Pkwy, Lexington

This restaurant has some of the nicest and accommodating staff I’ve ever met. I’ve been meaning to come here for quite a while and check out there street tacos among other things. When you first arrive as typical they will greet you and direct you to a table or a booth. Complimentary chips and salsa are also provided. They give you a creamy type of dip that is slightly sweet and really tastes great. The salsa is quite delicious and their chips are freshly made not too hard not to crunchy. My wife ordered a tamale and a lunch combo that she really enjoyed. I order street tacos and a chile relleno. Play close attention to the menu as these three tacos do come with both fresh and sauteed onions. While I absolutely love cilantro and fresh onions on my tacos I can’t say the same for sauteed onions. They have a taco sauce that they provide which is really complimentary to the tacos. Slightly spicy and a tad bit smokey. I am always one to add fresh sliced avocado to my tacos, which they obliged. My tacos came with the sauteed onions which I didn’t complain about but I did pick them out. When I saw that I picked out the onions and set one of them aside. When the staff came to check on us, our server noticed that I hadn’t eaten two the tacos and the onions I picked out. He happily offered to have two tacos made without onions. If I thanked him for his consideration and observation. These tacos were amazing to say the least! We will definitely be back to experience more of Campestre’s cuisine and get to know their amazing staff. Five Stars you guys knocked it out the park and won us over!

The Grey Eagle Menu with Prices 185 Clingman Ave, Asheville

Looking for an easy dinner spot when we found this place. It was a Sunday night and, not knowing a show was about to start, we wandered in. The ONLY nice lady greeted us at the front desk and asked if we were here to see the show. We said nope, just stopped in for tacos. She said that was fine and just asked if we weren’t intending on staying to hear the music, that we didn’t linger after eating. No problem. So we go in the taqueria (which is connected to the main stage section, so you have a view of whatever band is playing while you’re eating) and order 4 tacos with chips and salsa, total is like $27. Not the best, but could be worse. The guy behind the register seemed grouchy and like he was doing us a favor by taking our order. You have to get drinks from a separate bar section, so my husband gets a beer and the bar tender asks to see his stamp for the show. We told her we were only getting food and hadn’t planned on staying, but she said once 7:00 came around, we would have to pay for tickets in order to stay. It was like 6:45 at this time, we had already been waiting for about 20 minutes for our food, and there was absolutely nowhere to sit because everyone who came for the music was hanging in the tacorita. Mind you, I’m not an asshole and totally understand policy, but the way everything was approached is what pissed me off. No one told us about outdoor seating or even gave us an option that was anything other than you’re here, you’re paying for tickets. Soooo it’s not a restaurant open to the public? Anyway, staff was busy and didn’t handle it very well. This older lady waited so long for her food, she asked for her order to go and the guy all but threw her order in a box and shoved it her way without saying a word. Another guy who ordered after us asked for his food to be made to go too. When we finally got our food, we decided to carry it outside since we weren’t welcome in the taqueria. Luckily, there were a couple tables and chairs outside to choose from, but holy crap did we get attacked by flies. Food was decent. I ordered a carnitas taco, as well as a chicken. Chicken was delicious, but the carnitas seemed slightly burnt. We asked to have cheese added for an additional cost and boy did they skimp. My husband got two steak tacos and said they weren’t bad at all. If I had to do it again, I wouldn’t get the chips and salsa. Salsa lacked in flavor and I honestly thought it came from a jar. Chips were alright homemade, but no way would I pay $4 for them again. I might have given a higher rating if I actually felt welcome. This place is probably a pretty cool venue and their show schedule had some decent names on it, but it’s run by a bunch of jerkface hipsters.

Zandra?s Taqueria, Fairfax – Menu with Prices – 3950 University Dr STE 210, Fairfax

***3 1/2 Stars*** We were in the area and the mood for tacos so we decided to stop in on a whim. It was super packed both inside and outside but we were able to get two seats at the bar. The menu is pretty eclectic and so is the decor. They have quesadillas, a variety of tacos, nachos, empanadas, and other food. They also have a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to choose from. The bartender (who also appeared to be serving multiple tables) took our drink and food order. We both ordered mojitos- I ordered the classic mojito while the husband ordered a mojito with an aged rum. We each ordered 2 tacos- husband ordered the fried chicken taco and chorizo and egg taco; I ordered the ahi tuna fish taco and carne asada. The tacos can come in your choice of corn, flour, or lettuce wrap which I liked. Our drinks came out first and were quite strong. They were definitely pouring heavy the night we came. Our food came out soon after- everything was hot and made to order. The tacos themselves were tasty. They were stuffed with filling but not exploding which I appreciated. My fish taco was spicy but good. My husband enjoyed the chorizo and egg taco. The elote corn which came in some of our tacos was also good. I would consider ordering it as a side the next time. Staff was friendly throughout our meal. The only reason I gave this place 3 1/2 stars was they seemed to be understaffed. The servers were running around and seemed a bit stretched, even for a Friday night. We had to wait a little bit to order but overall a good taco option.

Neo Burrito Menu with Prices 4 S Tunnel Rd #750, Asheville

We went here for breakfast because we wanted something different. And it was amazing! When we walked we found the inside to look interesting – you walk through their “stock room” like there pantry! It was an industrial overall feel with homemade instructional signs posted throughout. We went to the counter and ordered. The lady smiled but there was no small talk – which was totally okay. My husband ordered the super breakfast burrito and I ordered the quesomellete Both with steak. They were great! My husband ended up picking the potatoes off of his, they were tough and maybe not fresh? Unsure. The quest thing came with gauc and sour cream on the side (for no extra charge). We also both got chips. There was a salads bar! The price for both our meals was $12 with a tip! Excellent bang for your buck!

El Ranchero Meat Market – Menu with Prices – 1814 N Story Rd, Irving

After visiting this taco place so many times and always being satisfied with the tacos me and my husband recently had a really bad experience. My husband found a ball of hair in his tacos and it was so disgusting I immediately told him to call so that he can get his order replaced. I honestly was so disgusted I didnâ??t even want to finish my own tacos. He called and was told to take the tacos back to them and so he can speak to the manager in charged. After we got there I got off with my husband and we showed the lady the box with the tacos and the hair ball we found. She immediately tried to insinuate that we put the hair ball in there. She also went on to say that the place was clean and the guys who made the tacos didnâ??t see anything. This got me really Angry. First of all we had not eat all day we were starving and decided to pick up tacos from here. As soon as we ordered them we got home and started eating. Putting hair balls in my tacos is not really how I would like to spend my afternoon. I donâ??t have time for bs like this. She also said that the hair would have been â??wetâ? if we truly did find it there. I this point I was extremely angry and just wanted to know if she was going to replace my order or not. The box had 7 tacos and my husband had only eat 3 he was still hungry. We didnâ??t want free food we just wanted the tacos that werenâ??t accompanied by a hair ball. Not coming here for a really long time.
