I loveeeee this little shop!! We were instantly greeted by the owner and she was absolutely amazing! She took her time to answer any and all questions and never got upset (yes we asked a lot). One thing I have to say is BUY THE GARLIC BREAD!! It’s absolutely divine!!! It’s a melt in your mouth kinda bread! It’s made on their milk bread and it’s just so delicious! Ugh, I will be going back ASAP for more!! They sell their day old things for about 1-3$ and she tells you exactly how to heat them up so they’re just as crunchy and delicious as freshly made ones. We will definitely be coming back!!

Raymond’s Sourdough – Menu with Prices – 3979 S McCarran Blvd, Reno

Tonight, 3-11-16, my wife and I went shopping at the grocery market across the street for some bread to accompany our hot soup on a rainy night. We purchased a round loaf of Raymond’s sourdough gourmet bread. This is the best sourdough bread either of us has ever eaten! I’m smiling and getting goosebumps recalling the lightly crunchy crust, the soft moist inside and the tangy bite in the corners of my mouth from that incredible sour flavor! Tonight was absolutely one of the greatest bread experiences of my life, a life eating lots of sourdough. Thanks Raymond!

Kaengthai Bistro – Menu with Prices – 10152 82 Ave NW, Edmonton

When you first walk in, you kinda notice that it is not your typical restaurant. On the wall on the left is the menu ( great choices of dishes and you can select your spice level from 1-5 ).. There is no waitress or hostess per se.. it’s kinda like fast food service but with freshly high quality food. Once you placed your order , find a table and have a seat . It does not take long to get your food.. it’s fast and hot. We had a starter of calamari ( lightly breaded and perfectly cooked ) and chicken satay ( kinda dry but it was tasty ). My friend ordered the soup ( Tom Kha ) and I ordered the Pad Thai. We were just finishing our appetizers when the entrees arrived.. it was piping hot. We had to let it sit for a few minutes to cool down. The serving size for the soup was perfect.. my pad thai dish could have been a bit more loaded. Dont get me wrong.. the food was absolutely delicious. This was our second visit . so they are definitely doing something right. It is kinda odd though that each time we have gone, we were the only ones in there.. but we did see a few SKIP THE DISHES drivers come in for orders. The place is super clean and the owners are always smiling and greeting you with a smile.

The Sweetest Batch Cupcakery – Menu with Prices – 2237 Lowes Dr Suite E, Clarksville

Dense and the varying frostings are so similar they are barely different. The cupcakes and heavy, literally, not fluffy and moist but wet on the inside as if they arent cooked all the way through. Also, when i went they still had more than 3 hours until closing time and only had 3 different types and less than 7 available. So that tells me they dont bake these freshly throughout the day, just make a giant dense batch in the morning and hope to sell out instead of having multiple fresh options available throughout the day.

Baskin-Robbins – Menu with Prices – 5510 5th Ave, Brooklyn

I didn’t know employees could even be this bad. Imagine coming in when there is no line and it taking them 15 minutes to make your stuff because theyre talking to their friends at the counter.

Tutto Italiano Menu with Prices 1889 River St, Hyde Park

This place has the most amazing Italian subs. Freshly sliced deli meats on freshly baked scala bread, with generous portions. They also have fresh eggplant, olives, cheeses, sliced deli meats to take home , various different subs, home made frozen pasta dishes, excellent red sauce all good. They sell bottles of wine, unique soft drinks, snacks, Bakery items, candies. They even sell hats and ravioli makers, very unique things. The food is just so good, smells great when you open the door! Just be prepared to wait in line, it’s usually very busy. But worth it.

McGrath’s Burger Shack – Menu with Prices – 800 S Battlefield Blvd Suite 112, Chesapeake

The food and drinks are decent enough, but the atmosphere is what brings the rating down. It’s not well ventilated so all of the customers and staff were visibly uncomfortable in the stuffy heat. The table was kind of sticky when we sat down. The staff didn’t seem overly happy to see us when we first walked in, but their spirits seemed to pick up slightly as more customers came in. I had an Irish summer cocktail: I was hoping for something more sweet and refreshing since it was so hot inside, but all of the strawberry, lemonade, and basil flavors were a little weak to be honest. I got the Jalapeno Heat burger–it’s part of my initiative to make myself a stronger human by becoming a chilihead. Anyway, I’m still very weak so I’ll be fair and tell you that I think the burger was probably very good! (I don’t know for sure because my mouth very quickly went numb from the spice haha). I thought the beef patty itself was good quality; the bun was really good (although I kinda wish they didn’t brand it because the burn mark kinda smelled weird whenever I leaned in for another bite); the Jalapeno slices were nice and fresh (and hot!); and the Sriracha sauce contributed even more heat but the flavor was good and a little sweet. My husband got the Irish Whiskey burger and he said it was good. Hahaha. All in all, it was pretty good food, but I wish they’d get a better A/C!

Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen – Menu with Prices – 876 N Eastern Blvd, Montgomery

The chicken from this location is very crispy and freshly cooked. But I got the chicken livers and they were awful. They were so crunchy I couldn’t even eat them. And there was something else in the box that wasn’t a chicken liver (gross). I took a picture for you to see it. Luckily, I dont trust meats that have large amounts of crispy bread, so I pick the bread off before I eat and I found this thing. It’s time for us to just have our on chickens. Now I’ll be traumatized for weeks……

Colorado Bakery – Menu with Prices – 464 Colorado Blvd, Glendale

Love this bakery!!! It is my favorite bakery in LA. The bread is always fresh and delicious. I love the Matnakash(crunchy on outside, fluffy on the inside), Barbari(has sesame seeds sprinkled on the bread) and lavash. The place also has a mini market inside which is very convenient. Love coming to Colorado bakery every morning for some fresh bread.

Saint-Germain – Menu with Prices – 3054 St Claude Ave, New Orleans

This is one of the best meals I’ve ever had in NOLA, and my fiancé and I have been basically everywhere. First off, the space is intimate and you feel like you’ve discovered something a bit hidden. The meal started with something I’m normally not a fan of – boudin noir. However, this gutsy call on their part paid off as I was blown away by the flavor of their boudin with the corn crepe. From the reactions of people around us others felt the same way. It made me reevaluate my negative view towards any type of blood sausage. Next was brought a plate of divine bread with 30 day aged butter and saffron salt which was also excellent. I also liked that they kept the bread around for the main meal, which many places seem to be in a rush to remove. But truly the main meal pieces we paid for were all absolutely divine. The sweetbreads were well balanced and the supporting cast of greens and potatoes were amazing. It was nice to see more effort given to the accoutrements which I think many places don’t do with their sweetbreads. The main courses were just as amazing – we had the fish and the lobster with noodles. Both were delicious. And to their credit, there was a ton of lobster with the pasta, which itself was absolutely perfect. I love that they wanted to ensure every bite of pasta has enough lobster to accompany it, which i often don’t find to be the case elsewhere. At the end of the meal we couldn’t stop talking about how incredible the food here was. The wines were great, the service was great, and we will 100% be back to enjoy this. It’s an excellent addition to not only the neighborhood but Nola as a whole. The owners said they wanted to interact with the guests through this smaller venue and the love is certainly shown! Kudos to all those working there, y’all are making something magical.

Taste of Portugal – Menu with Prices – 148 Delancey Street, Newark

You’re greeted by a friendly and helpful staff as you walk in to the dining room. You could sit either at the bar area or in the dining room in the back. Both have ample seating Bread service was Portuguese bread with warm butter and olives in olive oil seasoned with garlic. The bread was delicious and warm and the butter was spreadable. The olives were seasoned with garlic and olive oil which made them very tasty and the olive oil was a nice base to dip your bread. We ordered three main courses consisted of garlic shrimp with rice and Spanish potatoes, skirt steak with french fries and rice and stuffed shrimp with crabmeat, salad and Spanish potatoes. We ordered a half pitcher of red sangria which was delicious not too strong just perfect. The garlic shrimp with tasty seasoned well with tons of garlic. The Spanish potatoes were crunchy not greasy and delicious. The dish with the stuffed shrimp with crabmeat was great. The shrimps were huge loaded with crab meat. The only thing that we had a problem with was the skirt steak. It was not seasoned well and it was a little tough. But everything else was wonderfully delicious. For dessert we ordered the seradura and tres leche. The seradura was nice and freshly made an the tres leches was also very good, loaded with sweet milk. All in all a great meal with great service on top of it. Will definitely be going back.

Lowder Baking Company – Menu with Prices – 4019 Fern Ave Suite 500, Shreveport

Can’t say no to bread! I stumbled upon Lowder Baking Co. thru instagram. It is conveniently located right next to Marilynn’s Place. The moment I stepped in the shop, the smell of freshly baked bread welcomed me! I sampled the jalapeno cheddar bread, and it was crusty, cheddary and had that smooth heat from the jalapeno coming thru. Pastries I’ve tried: 1 cheese danish, 3 cinnamon rolls, 4 strawberry danish, 1 pistachio goat cheese, 1 almond croissant. Bill was $53 plus tip. I picked up my pastries around 11 am, so they were not warm (they start selling these at 730am, and I called my order in). Service 5/5 stars Cleanliness 5/5 stars 4/5 stars on the danishes and the croissant. While I think that these are superior around the area, some layers are still stuck together and that, it needs some more butter in the dough. Their cinnamon rolls are outstanding. I cannot help but compare it to Whisk (i love theirs as well). I will be back to sample their cookies!

High tide lobster bar – Menu with Prices – 502 W Riverside Ave Suite 204, Spokane

I would consider myself to be a Lobster Roll aficionado, I’ve tried them from the east coast and west coast north and south of both coasts, and these are the best I’ve ever had. 16 dollars a roll may seem expensive, but I see an average of 22 dollar per roll pretty much anywhere else, so don’t let the price deter you. The bread was wonderfully crunchy and a perfect vessel to house delicious cold lobster dressed in tarragon mayo, butter, and topped with fresh squeezed lemon. If you really pay attention you’ll actually notice that they’ve managed to preserve a bit of ‘brininess’ in the lobster, I don’t know how this is achieved, but it is absolutely divine to have a slight hint of that ‘cold ocean breeze’ left with you after finishing a roll. The clam chowder is really good as well, I ordered a small last time, but admittedly I probably could have finished the large. I’ll have to go back and try this without the lobster roll just for a fair judgement, because the lobster roll is a lot like driving a Porsche, anything after just isn’t as good. 10/10 this is the new hot spot in Spokane, and it’s worth the wait. You’ll have to enter a business plaza and climb to the second floor and likely brave a line, but if you’re at all into seafood this is fantastic.
