This cute little shop is located inside of Stanley Market and was one of the first places I stopped by when I landed. There was a decent sized parking lot, but it was pretty full. After a little driving around, we parked on the side of the street and walked in. Miette is down the same hall as the donut shop and sushi restaurant, right next to the BBQ place. They offer some impressive looking desserts and bon bons, though they are pricey. (Desserts $5-10, BonBons almost $3.00 each) Passionfruit Bon Bon: 4/5 I’ve had some fancy looking bon bons in the past that have been pretty unimpressive. I really appreciated Miette et Chocolat’s bonbon because of its very thin shell, the quality of their semi-sweet/dark chocolate, and the beautiful snap/crunch of the shell when I bit into the bonbon. These three qualities were proof that these bonbons were well worth their price tag. The passionfruit filling was very flavorful and the ONLY complaint I have is that it seems the filling had a thin layer of crystallization on top which didnt ruin the tasting experience, but was certainly not my favorite. Eclair: 4.5/5 This eclair was not your basic cream filled eclair. The choux had a layer of craquelin on top which gave the eclair a lovely texture. It also helped preserve the eclair so that even if the choux got a little soggy from the filling, the craquelin kept the eclair crisp. There were also crunchy pearls, a strip of, again, great quality, well tempered chocolate that gave a really satisfying snap when you bit into it, and a tiny, cute little macaron. Overall, this was a tasty dessert, but too rich for me to have in one sitting. In fact, I had this eclair over several days (a few bites with my tea in the evening) and it was nice. This dessert was well though out and balanced and was certainly worth the price.

Christophe’s Macaron et Chocolat – Menu with Prices – 1901 Ashley River Rd #2a, Charleston

My husband and I found this place by accident. We walked in and saw so many tastes desserts to choose from. They had single chocolates, regular desserts, and prepackaged desserts. They also serve dessert drinks like hot chocolate or coffee. We got the apple pastry and the chocolate Raspberry mousse. Both are very large and we could get desserts for two nights eating them. All of the desserts are made in this location. They have a window set up so you can watch them make the desserts during the day. The guy hand PAINTS the truffles with an airbrush style. I could not believe it. They looked like they were in a covering, but no it was just the chocolate. They have no indoor seating and a few tables outside to sit at. However, it was chilly so we didn’t sit outside. I am sure we will go back as a cute date when it is warmer. I am so glad we found this place.

Le Macaron French Pastries – Menu with Prices – 12478 N Mainstreet, Rancho Cucamonga

I’m beginning to think the people that have purchased here haven’t had a proper macaron or pate choux. I wanted to get a few items before our movie and I decide to give this place a try. My gut told me not to buy as much as I did based off of looks alone, but I gave it a try anyway. The feet on the macaron were spread and the shell was really shiny so I knew they were going to be dense and sugary.. The sizes were all very inconsistent and not uniform. I purchased 6 pieces @16.50. I normally dont care, especially when it’s a good quality macaron. I bit into the pistachio and it had only almond flavor, it was super sweet, and tasted as of it was frozen. Then I decided to give the salted caramel a try, once again, no caramel flavor, all almond, tasted like it was frozen, and not to mention the hair that came out with it. I was so disgusted that the other 4 stayed in the box. Next I tried the Madeline. It was pretty large and looked super moist. I took one bite and spit it out. It was dry and tasted like it had been baked on a pan that wasn’t properly cleaned so it had a burnt taste to it. Definitely a zero. Last but not least, the coffee eclair. My mom took a bite and said it tasted like old refrigerator. Which means it’s not fresh at all. I was honestly over it and didn’t care about getting my money back, but my mom insisted on going back in. When she went in she was told they dont give refunds. Which I see why because if they had as many complaints as mine, they’d be shut down. Dont trust the reviews.

Margaritaville Coffee Shop – Menu with Prices – 1111 N Ocean Dr, Hollywood

Sunday’s weather was perfect to get some coffee in here. Located in the lobby of the Margaritaville Resort this coffee place is decorated so cute. As you can see in my pictures one of the table tops is a surf board!!! They have their own coffee and they make amazing deserts. We had a pop cake and a chocolate eclair. They were soooo tasty and I loved the vanilla cream inside the eclair, delicious and just with the right amount of sugar. We had coffee latte and there was a guy selling “coffee shots” so I got them too. One was Kahlua, after my sister got the coffee lattes we pour the coffee shots on them and the taste was sensational!! Wonderful idea. Maravillosa idea.

Lucibello’s Italian Pastry Shop – Menu with Prices – 935 Grand Ave, New Haven

I am a huge cannoli lover and am always looking for my next favorite. I’ve always preferred the ones with lots and lots of chocolate chips and therefore was skeptical upon first glance of Lucibello’s. One bite was enough for me to realize that liking the cannoli for the amount of chips was wrong, because Lucibello’s cannoli was outstanding simply for the freshness of the shell and the flavor of the filling. The crunch of the chocolate chips was completely satisfied by the crunch of the shell (although it does have chips throughout the filling, just less than I’ve usually preferred in the past). They were also a great size – not too large that they’re hard to eat and not too small too be disappointed. We got two cannolis and a bunch of cookies and I was surprised it didn’t cost more than it did – around $12 for everything. Definitely will be going back to satisfy my sweet tooth!

Valhalla Bakery – Menu with Prices – 2603 E South St, Orlando

Came late night around 11 pm and so it was mostly empty. Most people came and get desserts to go. The shop deco is very hip and they sell items from local vendors from fruits jam to jewelry. I love that they used paper straws to keep it eco-friendly and you can get water on your own. I shared four desserts with my friends to try. We have the succulent chocolate pot mousse cake, chocolate chip cookie bourbon yolo, nainoma cake, and fruit tart. I love the chocolate chip bourbon yolo and it’s definitely worth It to try. The fruit tart is good and tastes like it a regular fruit tart. I didn’t like the nainoma or pot as much as I would like to as it was too creamy and sweet. Disclaimer, I don’t like my desserts that are too sweet. But on a plus side, the desserts are vegan and I saw they have homemade kombucha which I would love to try next time. I would definitely come again to perhaps try brunch next time! Worth at least a visit and will be good for dates or hanging out with friends! Love the lighting on the outside.

Daylight Donuts – Menu with Prices – 1109 N Main St, Gainesville

This was my first time visiting Daylight Donuts. My sister and I ordered 3 Kolaches, 3 Donuts and 3 Pastries for about $13. I enjoyed the Jalepeno Sausage and Cheese Kolach and an Eclair with blueberry filling. It was so good! I’m not a big fan of sweets, but I have been craving an Eclair and I’m glad I got one from here! We took our order to-go but if you want to stay, they can seat about 15 people. You can of course have your morning coffee fix here as well as they offer a variety of coffees, cappuccinos and frapps. The eating space and restrooms are clean and the employees are very nice and give good customer service.

The Little Things Bakery – Menu with Prices – 2018 Cliff Dr, Santa Barbara

Matthieu is the owner-baker of this unit. I met him today as I picked up my sister’s bd cake. We chatted a bit and he told me that he is from Marseilles : a seaside town in France best known for seafood, Bouillabaisse, Fanny and the Maurice Chevalier movie. A Chooket is a pate choux concoction with various fillings as in a mini cream puff. This “Chooket” is beginning to be an addiction. It happens. Along with picking up the bd cake I bought a couple of Matthieu’s Brownies. Since we were not to carve up the BD cake until later in the afternoon we glommed onto the very subtly chocolate…chocolate brownies. They were pretty much a revelation: dusted with very high quality cocoa and produced with a minimum of sugar and a maximum of high quality chocolate. Very French, very delicious. Very, Very good stuff, Monsieur Matthieu! The flavor and toppings for my sister’s bd cake were her choice as we usually do chocolate but god forgive her…she is not a chocolate fan. (yes, she is in our prayers daily) The actual cake was white with an undercurrent of nuts as in almonds, pecans. The frosting and between the layers was whipped cream but one that was slightly sweet and not the overly stabilized whipped that you usually get when you order a whipped cream cake. In any event this was good stuff. This cake also had strawberry topping as well strawberries in the filling. In regards to the white cake and the chocolate cake we bought last December: both were slightly over baked with the white cake less so. Both were slightly dry and the texture was not as i like: crumbly, moist and basically falls apart (in a good way) in your mouth. Matthieu and his crew are obviously very talented and committed so i know they will clear this up asap. I will definitely be back.

Keikeu Cakes – Menu with Prices – 1124 Payne Ave, St Paul

Wow. Gave Eve artistic authority and she has blown us away. My birthday cake, we gave just flavor profile. Amazing 6 layer cake! My husband’s b-day cake we gave vegan and chocolate as the things we wanted, and it was incredible! My mother’s Harvestfest Party, we said something festive, and it was the highlight of the dinner party. Everyone asked me where I bought the cake. The quality of the ingredients are great, but they come to life with Eve’s unmatched abilities to create beautiful and delicious cakes. I used to buy from Buttercream. Not anymore.

Casa de Chocolates Menu with Prices 2629 Ashby Ave, Berkeley

Tapatio chocolate bonbon!!! SOO GOOD. So much to choose from! I saw pretty pictures of chocolates from this place, and I just had to visit. The pieces they have here are very delicate and they have one of those “you break, you buy” rules, especially for the various chocolate bars. From the door to the case and registers, they have various chocolate bars in a couple sizes. The flavors look amazing, such as mole, orange chocolate, fleur, etc. They even have a bar in pieces for sampling. They also have lollipops and other shaped chocolates. Onto the fun stuff – the chocolate case. All the pieces look so amazing, and they have a variety of flavors – fruity ones, alcohol ones, floral, caramels. I got a giftbox of 6 pieces that includes – Tapatio – first time having a tapatio chocolate. tapatio ganache inside, and wow, I was surprised it went so well with the chocolate. It was definitely my favorite piece. There was good spice with the sweetness that I immediately wanted more. Guayaba (guava) – amazing lightly sweetened guava flavor in the center of the chocolate. Very good. Maracuya (coconut milk ganache, passionfruit) – just like the guava, good flavor of the fruit. YUM! Petalos de Rosa (rose petal ganache) – hint of floral flavor. Mole – mole flavor! Similar to the tapatio, there was a small kick of heat. Chipotle Caramel – good if you like chipotle and caramel. good flavor, but I’m not the biggest caramel fan. The husband really enjoyed it! They also have Mexican hot chocolate and frozen Mexican hot chocolate here. I’ll make sure I try one next time I go here – some frozen hot chocolate with some tapatio chocolates, and maybe one of their cake desserts. MMMMM!!

Gigi’s Cupcakes – Menu with Prices – 621 Dunlop Ln #116, Clarksville

Not that good. Me and the fiancée were in town visiting and we had a sweet tooth so we stopped here. The shop is a cute shop, as it is very clean and has an area for the kiddos opposite regular sized tables. There is also outside seating that is shared space in the plaza. The prices are pretty steep at $3+ per cupcake and cheesecake. But for a boutique cupcake shop, the price is standard. We ordered the strawberry shortcake cupcake, the chocolate chip cookie dough cupcake, and the salted vanilla cheesecake. The cupcakes were okay. The strawberry shortcake had more icing than cake. It tasted good but not good enough to qualify as being a boutique cupcake because the flavor wasn’t very strong. The chocolate chip cookie dough cupcake was good and flavorful. The cheesecake was HORRIBLE. It was dry, not creamy, had no flavor, and didn’t have enough crust. It was hands down the worst cheesecake I’ve ever had. We should’ve saved the troubles and went to the grocery store because it just wasn’t worth the time, price, or disappointment.

Sister2Sister Cookies – Menu with Prices – 6618 S Broadway Ave, Tyler

YUM. HUGE cookies. Worth paying almost $8 for 4 cookies. Didn’t have any of the smaller sizes available but will have to try next time. Cute shop, sweet employees, cute packaging. Love that they have a drive thru since parking is weird with the sign in the middle of the lot. To be fair, I was driving my husbands huge truck so maybe it’s not that hard, hah. FINALLY somewhere that makes an oatmeal chocolate chip!!! Love love love

The Little Cannoli Bakery – Menu with Prices – 189 Liberty St NE #102, Salem

Best cannolis I’ve ever had. So tasty. Not overly sweet filling, the shell is uniquely crunchy and delicious, and with the choice to have the ends dipped in chocolate chips or pistachio (or one of each!) you can’t go wrong. Price is about as much as I’d want to spend on a single cannoli, but they are good enough to make you forget the cost. Tiny little bakery but located in the cool part of downtown with lots of other shops for convenience and vibe. Everything there looks great. We’ve have the cheesecake bites which were good too. Love that downtown Salem has a place like this! Go eat a cannoli!
