Mini review is only fitting for this mini gem. Small and cozy place, very clean inside with LOTS of natural light. I thought the floor layout (especially considering the small size of the place) was spot on. There weren’t many customers inside on a Saturday evening, and once everyone left, it almost felt like you were sitting at your own personal coffee shop. Parking is limited, but I feel like it is proportional to how many people can physically fit inside the place. There is an outdoor patio area in the front, but I really enjoyed the cozy vibe inside that I would recommend you sit in there (at least until it gets nice out). I’m sure it gets loud inside when that thing is packed with customers, but when there’s no one there except you, it’s very peaceful, ESPECIALLY after being at the Boise mall and dealing with people, parking, and the general chaos there. Coffee tasted good, but to be honest, I’m not experienced enough in the coffee game to tell the difference between any of these local coffee places. They also have premade burritos, pastries, and donuts up front by the counter. Prices were a little high IMO, but if you’re dining inside I feel like it’s well worth it. Staff was super friendly, no complaints at all. One small recommendation I’d give is to have prices next to the food in the little counter, makes you feel less like a peasant for asking how much everything is in there lol. Overall, this is 5 stars EASY. My favorite coffee place so far has been Flying M in Nampa, which does get very busy / loud at times that can be a turn off for some (even though they have awesome latte art there). Come here at the right time (which appears to be 4 PM on a Saturday), and you’re served coffee in your own little personal “coffee studio” (Yes that was corny… I’ll show myself the door).

The Protein Source Kitchen – Menu with Prices – 7060 South Durango Drive, #115, Las Vegas

As far as food goes, I have no complaints. Food has been tasty so far. I’ve enjoyed the protein shakes (Signature is my favorite.) Recommendations: Female employee at the counter looked like she didn’t want to be there. It makes a big difference to look approachable. Body language is speaking loudly when customers come in. Speaking of loud, the employees behind the counter were talking on top of each other as if they were screaming. One cause could be the LOUD club music blasting on the loud speakers in this small space. Please turn down that music or change music selection. This has been consistent every time I’ve been there. Customers are there for a healthy meal. Meanwhile, the loud music is grating on the nerves which defeats the purpose. This will drive people away quickly.

Common Grounds – Menu with Prices – 602 S Elam Ave, Greensboro

We popped in here after dinner. This literally was in the same parking that we were in. They had quite a selection of coffee choices, but the drink was honestly just okay. I think if you go in looking for just a plain cup of coffee you will be better off. They also have a wine bar inside along with a pool table and some arcade games. The atmosphere was very eclectic. You had people of all ages. I thought the location could definitely use some more seating out front, because you do have college students in there doing work on their laptops. It says kid friendly but at the same time, having my kids inside I was more afraid of them being too loud and disturbing the students working. I wouldn’t necessarily bring my kids back here.

Pilcrow Coffee – Menu with Prices – 1739 N Doctor M.L.K. Jr Dr, Milwaukee

We went on a Saturday morning around 9:30AM to try out Pilcrow. We noted that they are only open on Saturdays and Sundays. Parking- lots of street parking nearby. We didn’t have a problem finding one at all! Atmosphere- part of the reason why I rated it 4 stars. The environment had an industrial feel and didn’t feel very cozy. It wasn’t very welcoming and I didn’t want to sit there for too long. They had around 4 two-person tables and one long big table total. The back was open to some factory-looking area. Coffee- Oh my goodness YUM! The pumpkin brew tasted like a dessert in a cup. It wasn’t too sweet, yet it was delicious and tasted like a treat. It was $6, but it was WORTH IT. Highly recommend!! Oh and did I mention the coffee is strong?! ? Overall, you have to try this place!! It’s not the greatest for sitting around but the coffee is so good that I will for sure visit again!

Just The Drip SATX – Menu with Prices – 24188 Boerne Stage Rd, San Antonio

If you drove by “The Point” and saw the big coffee and espresso flag signs and wondered…. Are they open. Well today I took the turn and checked it out. I pulled into the spacious parking lot on Saturday morning and walked into to side of the building. First impression was, this looks a lot like “The Perk” from “Friends”. Very warm and cozy feeling when you walk in. Denise met me at the counter and informed me that they do their own blend and have their own roaster who is also a local Physics teacher too. I loved the trinkets, lamps, and other dust collectors that cluttered the front area. All for sale. Walk in the next room and you have your selection of seating areas or if it’s cool enough out side is a quiet alternative. The coffee is smooth and tasty. Great alternative to the Local Coffee or Starbucks. This was faster and more warm environment. I will definitely come here to work. Free internet. Love this place.

Pj’s Coffee – Menu with Prices – 5733 Read Blvd, New Orleans

Stopped in on a hot Sunday afternoon for some leisure reading and journaling. Upon entering, this is the nicest PJs I’ve ever been to. The decor and furniture is a Restoration Hardware vibe, a nice addition to New Orleans East. I received a warm welcome from the cashier and after a quick and pleasant exchange, i received my iced chai with almond milk. Wasn’t the best iced chai I’ve had, but i chopped it up to preference. I would love, if they don’t already have them, for them to transition to sip cups or paper straws. I love the variety of seating which includes chairs, tables, sofa, counter seating, as well as outdoor tables and chairs. There’s also parking in the front and i think along the side. It was a bit loud for my preference, as i came to read, but i understand it’s not a library lol. However, after a short while, I’m assuming the manager or owner, while greeting customers, asked if the music was too loud. I love coffee & tea and am very excited to have not just a coffee shop, but one as beautiful as this PJs in my neighborhood. I hope this is a glimpse of the future of New Orleans East.

CONTRA COFFEE and TEA – Menu with Prices – 115 N Orange St, Orange

If you’re in the orange area and are into coffee and tea, then you Contra is someplace you have to try. I’ve only had flights of their ice coffees and teas so I can’t speak for their hot options but I haven’t encountered anything I’m not a fan of. There’s definitely enough options for you to find something you’re into. Not too many options to be overwhelmed, but enough to have your intrigue. Aside from the drinks though they have a book collection on the wall for you to peruse through with different genres abound. And aside from that there are photos on display for sale! I like to take pictures of book options I’d like to read on my own time later. The space is clean and open and there aren’t too many tables to make it feel crowded. Could they afford a couple more? Probably, but I felt like it was a good amount for the space. Everything is community style so if youre more into a solitary type of space I can’t say there are many two-man tables. (There are 2 outside though!) It’s pretty much a good college space for getting some work done. (Though it can get loud when it’s full, so bring headphones?) Puppers aren’t allowed inside (except service dogs) BUT you are welcome to sit with them atik their outside tables. (But they only sit 2. Makes for a cute date!) I do also believe you can buy a bottle of any brew they have on draft but I haven’t explored that option yet. It IS on the periphery of the orange circle so it’s a bit hidden and not the easiest place to see. But worth looking for! There is plenty of parking around on the streets but make sure you’re reading all the signs because there happens to be a few.

Sisters Breakfast & Lunch – Menu with Prices – 171 Stafford St, Worcester

Stopped in on a Saturday morning around 8:30 and it wasnâ??t too busy and they had a steady flow of customers coming in and out for pickup. Right away, you can tell this place has many dedicated regulars. I really liked that about Sisters. The waitstaff was friendly and quick. The inside is pretty small with a few tables and counter seats. Seemed clean inside. I ordered from the specials and received one of the best omelets I have ever had! It was cooked perfectly with cheese, mushrooms, peppers, onions and dill. Flavors worked well together. Came with a side of home fries. My husband loved his dish as well. Big portions and small prices! Cash only! If youâ??re looking for something low-key and greasy spoon.. this is the place! Come as you are and enjoy a nice breakfast or lunch. Donâ??t be fooled by the outside! Plenty of street parking. We will certainly go back!

Krispy Kreme – Menu with Prices – 4904 S Cleveland Ave, Fort Myers

The donuts have always been hot and excellent , the bagels are also great, and coffee was fine. I would have given it a 5 star rating if I did not experience the poor customer service that I received. There were 2 people in front of me and a line of people behind me and the whole time I waited only 1 person was waiting on customers inside and it seemed like they had plenty of help. I believe they had about 7 people that I could recall at the time that I was there and I just cannot believe that not 1 of those 7 people came over to help that 1 lady out at the customer service counter. As a managers point of view I probably would have taken a video to show all the employees of themselves working so they can see what kind of team work they put into that. It was not that they were not working it was the fact that the customers should have come first and they should have jumped right in to help. Also the cashier that rung my order up was not a happy camper you could tell that he really did not want to be there. He rung my order up and turned around to do something with the coffee machine meanwhile my coffee and donuts were sitting at the register by him and he said â??here you can take itâ?quietly, I could barely hear him and then he slowly gave it to me. I said thank you with a smile and went on my way. Like I said it really was okay just the customer service and working as a team needs some improvement and it is not always like that when I go there but maybe if the employees saw themselves working at that time then maybe it could help to improve themselves, and be better team players.

Navarroâ??s Taqueria – Menu with Prices – 1535 S Standard Ave, Santa Ana

This place just opened a month ago at the time I went and I was really excited to try this place because of the reviews on Yelp! It is located across Madison Park and next to the US Gas on the corner of Standard and Edinger. They have cozy seating inside and a neat covered patio outside where you can see the park. The parking is in the back of the restaurant and there is plenty of space. Walking in we were greeted with an awesome smile and a friendly person at the counter right away! Leslie was very courteous, attentive and patiently gave us a minute to decide what we would get on the menu! We ended up getting the pastor, chorizo, asada and birria tacos with horchata as our drinks (we like trying out different meats in every taqueria we eat at!) They gave us tortilla chips with grilled onions and chiles that came with a guacamole and cotija cheese salsa. The chips were crispy, toasty and salted just perfect! The salsa was amazing – it had a nice kick with a creamy texture and it blended well with the crunch of the chips! Honestly all the meats (asada, pastor, chorizo and birria) we got were great! My personal favorites were the chorizo and the asada. After we ate, the owner Rigo asked us about our experience which was just awesome! It showed how much he cares about the customers experience and he also shared with us how they have a taco stand out on the patio starting at 5pm where they’ll make the tacos right in front of you after you bring your receipt! I definitely want to try that next time I come. Overall, just an great place to eat, great customer service and an awesome feel good vibe that feels like home. 5 stars all the way!

Bowlero Via Linda – Menu with Prices – 9027 E Vía Linda, Scottsdale

Just to be clear, I have nothing against the place and the other staff, except the cashier, ALEX. My family went there today so my son can practice bowling for his birthday which we book in the same center. Alex is just odd. He speaks as if heâ??s only talking to himself in a place filled with loud music. I had to stretch my neck so my ears can catch what heâ??s saying. It was our first time in the said center so we dont know how we get charged. When we got our shoes, he already swiped the card so I thought theyâ??ll just charge it upon check out. When we check out we got to the counter and I asked him, â??Are we good?â? He then spoke something impossible to hear and moved his hand as if saying â??goâ? so we left the line. I asked my husband, â??Is that it? are we just gonna be charged?â? Feeling something was wrong, we went back to the counter with another customer in front. I waved at him and asked â??Are we gonna get a receipt?â? He just told me, â??I have a line and another customerâ? in a loud (thank God!) voice. I told him yeah but we were here before them and Iâ??m not sure if weâ??re done. He then told me, again in a loud voice â??Yeah, but you left!â? Thatâ??s when my inner alarm came off. This guy is just impossible! I wonder why heâ??s there in front of customers when he clearly has no customer service skills. When we left the line thinking we were already charged and was not, he could have called us back to let us know that weâ??re not yet. And when we came back to ask him again, he just brushed us off and tell us he has a line and another customer. He kept speaking to himself at this time it was again impossible to hear. I asked him what he was saying. He just told me, â??If you want to speak to my manager, you can.â? I told him with a loud voice to just get it done and over with. With a simple transaction as checking out, Alex can send a customerâ??s blood pressure soaring high. This Alex shouldnâ??t be in front of customers, coz he clearly has no customer service skills. I just hope my sonâ??s birthday wonâ??t have the same experience.

Taqueria Maravatio – Menu with Prices – 2618 W 59th St, Chicago

i honestly used to come here all the time their food is delicious but i must say, lately the service has been horrible. the girls there waitress and cashier have horrible attitudes. i understand we are human and sometimes we all have those bad days. but if youre going to work in a field in which you need to be a people person and have good customer service skills, you need to be able to put on a happy face when greeting a customer and serving them appropriately. not once did these girls come to our table to see if we needed anything. not once did they ask how our service was or our food. we had to get up 3 times walk to them to get something we needed utensils, a cup and our to go container. it also seemed as if they were rushing us out. when i got up to get a cup she handed me my receipt and total.. uummmm we werent done eating and she wanted me to pay already. they were speaking pretty loud to each other it was obvious they were speaking about us because they were cursing! so unprofessional. i honestly felt horrible because i took a friend with me and on the way i was telling her it was one of my favorite spots. we will not be returning. due to their unprofessional services and how disrespectful they were to us! i hope this review helps them realize they need to be equal to everyone when servicing them. polite and professional. instead of stocking the soda and cleaning out the coffee machine take a few minutes to walk to yiur customers table and ask how their food is. is there anything they need. and if there is something you didnt like about your customers save it until they are out the door. it makes you and the business look horrible.

Offset Coffee – Menu with Prices – 24416 Crenshaw Blvd #1, Torrance

I can’t… 1st Visit: Passed by this coffee shop a few times. A friend suggested we meet there. Noticed the construction going on. We managed to get a parking space in front of the coffee shop but parking was super tight. When we walked in to order, we noticed that the (owners/ managers) people who seemed to be part of the coffee shop were talking in the middle of the small coffee shop but did not greet us which was ok, but they were in the way. We stood in line, but somehow went unnoticed to the employees for a few minutes. Because we were meeting a friend, we couldn’t just leave. Finally, I got the attention of the lady behind the counter and I ordered pastries and coffees. Meanwhile, i noticed that the 2 gentlemen who seemed to be part of the operations kept opening the door and the asphalt smell kept creeping into the coffee shop. I noticed that a customer left because she couldn’t sit outside (because of the smell). My lavender latte was average but their avocado toast was pretty good. Also tried their iced Horchata, it was good but a bit too sweet. Spent $69 on semi good lattes, and good roasts. Promised myself I’d visit them again before writing a review. 2nd Visit: Went with my sister as she lives close by. Service was 4/10. Again, we were the only 2 in line and there were 2 employees behind the counter but yet it took several minutes to greet us. The Horchata was sweeter this time than last. My sister loved her rose latte but her avocado toast tasted tangy (maybe too much lemon)? There were only 5 people inside the place but the parking was full so we had to park next door. Spent $36… I can’t go back to a place that was disappointing 2x. Really sad. Was REALLY hoping it would be my go to coffee shop
