I went for lunch and took two co-workers with me. The restaurant was 3/4 full. Wasn’t greeted when we got there. Took a while to make initial contact, we had to ask for menus, when the waitress brought them she only brought two, and they were crusty, nasty, and looked like someone had been chewing on the edges, all of them were the same. We ordered our food and drinks, it took a while for the order. I had to actually ask the owner (male) for the drinks since the waitress seemed to be running around like a chicken without a head. I just loved the owners attitude, just standing there, not doing much, just waiting to collect his money at the register. The food was ok, been there before and they used to be much better. When we got our food, there wasn’t even a paper liner in the basket, so I had to remove my fries and ask for additional napkins to set down my fries because I wasn’t about to just lay them in the basket. Everything is a-la-carte. My total for one double meat burger, fries and one soda was $7 with the tip. Honestly the burger wasn’t bad, but greasier then before when I went there, and I could of had an additional can of soda. No one ever came by to ask us if we needed anything. I like to go to places where I can get out of the sun and cool off. This place keeps their temperate at a slightly uncomfortable temperature. So don’t expect a very pleasant lunch. I guess if I could give the owners some advice about their business, it would be 1. Act like you care about your customers, service with a smile always does the trick, 2. Make sure the temperature IS comfortable, find out what that is, ask your customers, 3. Male owner, get off your high horse and help your waitress out, don’t have that Mexican attitude where you are the “jefe” and it is beneath you to do any “grunt work”, and 4. Get rid of those nasty menus, it gives your customers the impression that if your menus are this nasty how do you keep the back of the house.

The Off Ramp – Menu with Prices – 400 NE 112th Ave, Vancouver

It’s a sports bar! Set your expectations accordingly. We went last Monday for trivia. It’s run by Geeks Who Drink and is at 7 pm. We previously were going to Shanahan’s though they don’t have it anymore for some reason. Anyway, we figured we could give The Offramp a try. All food and drinks are ordered at the bar. There was not a waiter/waitress. There was someone from the kitchen that brought out our food. We got one pitcher of hefeweizen for $12 which is not bad. Their drink prices are affordable. Food is bar food. I got steak tips which were not bad (not the best I have had either), though they were tasty enough. I asked for a side of waffle fries. The basket was huge. The side came out in something that you would expect a burger and fries to come out in. I noticed all fries are bottomless, though they give so much the first time we didn’t take any seconds. My husband had chicken strips and my MIL had a burger. One thing we agreed on is that “they know how to fry a potato”. I had waffle fries, he had fries and my MIL had tator tots (pinnacle of health, the three of us). They were all great. There were flies inside. We killed one. I think thats on par for PNW restaurants in the summer, sadly. It wasn’t spotless, but there also wasn’t dust on the window sill. I didn’t use the restroom so I can’t speak to that. All in all, not bad to go for trivia. I wouldn’t go there if not for trivia, though.

Burger Bank – Menu with Prices – 1617 S Weinbach Ave, Evansville

I was in Evansville today on a business trip and stumbled upon this place. A very good burger indeed! I got the burger basket with a single burger, fries and slaw. The burger was delicious, well dressed and everything tasted fresh. The fries are the crinkly kind and they were well cooked. The slaw was good too. There were other things on the menu I would have liked to try, such as their sausage sandwich and their philly steak sandwich, and if I am through this neck of the woods again I will for sure go back! Nice and friendly owner as well.

Xinantecatl Restaurant – Menu with Prices – 1421 N Clovis Ave Suite 101, Fresno

Tried out this new spot. The staff is very friendly and explained the menu and specials for lunch. I ordered a double cheese burger with no onions, came with fries but no soda, I added on a soda to my order. Got my order and dug in….the meat is not fresh and had that freezer Brown look to it, very dry, tough, and salty. The bottom of the burger bread was totally soggy from the juice of the tomatoes and mayo spread they put on it. I am not exaggerating. French fries are just basic frozen crinckly fries from the grocery store. The soda was not dialed in properly as I got a mountain dew and it taste horrible. All in all I think there is too much on the menu and for that reason they turn to frozen food as most of the items on the menu are frozen fried products. A small place like this may not have the volume of a McDonald’s however they should take advantage of that and cook fresh food vs. Frozen food. If that burger was fresh hand made burger patties it would taste 10 times better. They mentioned to me that they recommend the shrimp fries, well with frozen fries I will not order them. I will try you guys again for breakfast to update my review. The customer has spoken.

Lake & Irving Restaurant & Bar – Menu with Prices – 1513 W Lake St, Minneapolis

One of my favorite restaurants for burgers! Fantastic burgers. Great place for a beer. I’ve been here several times and have always been happy, EXCEPT… server, “would you like another ice tea” me, “sure”. Look at the bill and its $6.00 for 2 glasses of iced tea!! Also, I ordered extra ice, so I probably got 10 oz. of tea for 2 glasses. Same is true for soda. $15.00 for a burger, plus $2.00 for bacon, it should be at least 1 refill, or at least mention it when you order a tea or soda. The owner reached out and apologized for the mix up. It is bottomless for the soda and tea. He also sent a certificate for my next visit! It wasn’t necessary but greatly appreciated. I really like when the owners and managers look at Yelp, to make sure people are pleased with their restaurants. As I stated, this is a great place with the best bacon cheese burger.

Red Crab Juicy Seafood – Menu with Prices – 3017 W Gate City Blvd, Greensboro

First, and probably only, visit to the Red Crab. The menu is very, very sparse. There are no salad, vegetables, or sandwiches available (they are still “coming soon” but are printed on the menu). We were there for lunch. There were only a few customers in the place at 1:30. The wait staff was huddled around the hostess stand (where they remained the entire time). We were quickly seated but it took 10 minutes to be acknowledged by our waitress another 10-15 to get our drinks. The waitress was no help whatsoever in helping understand their specialities…daily or anything else. The food was just OK…not overly greasy but also not overly tasty and fries were just barely warm. We ordered an appetizer of hush puppies – they were tasteless and small and arrived after our entrees. I ordered a shrimp and catfish basket, there was not too much fish, but a load of fries. I ordered sweet potato fries and was disappointed to find out they had no honey mustard or any other flavor for dipping – just ketchup. Drinks were served in paper cups. Ketchup and tartar sauce were served in little plastic to-go containers. I asked for salt for my fries and the waitress brought me salt sprinkled in one of the plastic to-go containers (had to take a picture). I was surprised and asked for a salt shaker she said they didn’t have any shakers of salt. What?!?!? There were no condiments of any kind on the table…just a paper napkin dispenser. What if I wanted pepper too?!!!!? Their customer service needs a lot of help!! We were there on a Thursday and most of the patrons there were having the Thursday special or crab legs. It seemed as though they catered to the daily special and the rest of the menu seemed like an afterthought.

ZEAL Burgers – Menu with Prices – 1926 Weston Rd, Toronto

The first adjective that comes to mind is “soft”, followed by “unsalted”. As per the sign outside, they only grind triple-A angus, and you can certainly taste the difference. I don’t think much additional salt was added to the patty. And there was definitely no salt sprinkled on top of the handcut fries. So don’t expect it to be laden with salt. I was in a bit of a rush, so I didn’t really examine the menu at length. However, I don’t think they offered combos. It was like ~$11 for a mini (1-patty) O.Z. burger with a small fries. The “mini” was big enough for me and I had to take the fries to-go! Owner was very friendly and the operation seemed like a family-owned and runned joint. Meal didn’t feel too heavy, especially considering it was burger + fries! I’d go back if&when I was in the area again.

J. Christopher’s Menu with Prices 3070 Windward Plaza, Alpharetta

Service is horrible! Don’t come here for a quick lunch. We called ahead for a group of 13 for 12:00. We got there and the restaurant was 98% empty. It took about 5 minutes for someone to come to the front and ask if we’ve been helped. We told her no but we had called ahead, she says she’ll be right back. She didn’t come back for another 5 minutes. When she came back she told us they wanted to seat us in the back room but another party had just left and they were cleaning. Another 5-10 minutes later and we were finally seated. Why couldn’t they have just moved several empty tables together? We didn’t care about being in a separate room. We were sat with no menus. Two people in the group went to ask for menus. Another 5 minutes waiting for menus and the waitress disappears without asking if we need anything or taking our drink orders. Took a while for her to come back for our drink orders. We made sure to put in our food order while we had the chance. Our drinks didn’t come for another 15 minutes. Someone in my party walked over to the manager and asked where our drinks were. His response was “one drink broke and we had to remake all of them.” ……what does that mean? At least come tell us it’s going to be a while. We didn’t get our drinks until we had been here for 35 minutes. I don’t understand why more people didn’t help the one waitress. She brought our food two plates at a time and slowly. Finally near the end the manager helped. We had to ask for refills.

Ameci Pizza Kitchen – Menu with Prices – 240 N Glenoaks Blvd, Burbank

The Owner of this Ameci Pizza located in Burbank doesn’t like me calling his business a scam. Type in google what a scam definition is and this is what google says. A Scam is a Fraudulent scheme performed by a dishonest individual, group, or company in an attempt obtain money that involves tricking people. They won’t remove the lunch special sign because they need a Crane to remove it. Why don’t you take the money that you scam your customers and use it to rent or buy a crane to remove that deceiving lunch special sign. Instead of using that money you scam your customers to buy brand new very expensive cars use it to rent a crane. This Ameci Pizze located in Burbank is a Scam. They have a Lunch Special Sign outside hanging on the wall saying the lunch special prices but when you order they don’t honor the lunch special prices from 11am to 4pm which their sign says. What a scam these people are running and the city of burbank just looks the other way. I ordered a ham sandwich with fries and a soda at 1:00pm on 5/13/2019 which my bills total was $14.50. I asked why when you have a lunch specal sign on the wall outside your business that says a sandwith with a soda is $7.99, Why is my bill total $14.50? They claim they don’t have time to remove the lunch special sign and they can’t honor those lunch special prices. Way overpriced lunch for only a sandwich, fries and a can soda to add up to $14.50. Why don’t you remove the lunch special sign if you don’t honor it or use it? To View the Ameci Pizza Lunch Special Sign just check my name Van K and you will see it. Has their burbank phone number and all the lunch specal prices. See it for yourself to know what a SCAM this business is running.

The Sweet Spot – Menu with Prices – 8448 W Central Ave, Wichita

Iâ??ve eaten here on several occasions. The last two times I was disappointed. Previous to this visit the food was delivered room temperature which was unsatisfactory. I gave it another chance this month. Visited on a Tuesday and had called the evening before giving them a heads up there would be 8-10 of us eating lunch on Tuesday at 11:00. When we arrived the waitress greeted me and I stated we had called about a table for 8-10. Apparently the message never got delivered. We were held at the entrance while they set up the tables. There was 1 (ONE) waitress there to serve all the tables that day at the lunch hour. There was a management type person there who did little to assist her. The orders were taken and the food was delivered. I had no issue with the quality of the food. The checks then were brought and there was where a problem came up. The menu stated with the burger I ordered you had a choice of French fries, salad or fruit. I chose the salad. When I got the check there was a charge of $1.75 for a salad. I brought this to the attention of the waitress and she acted perplexed. I told her the menu stated we had three choices and she acted like we didnâ??t. I was not the only one who had the same issue about being charged extra for a salad. She agreed to adjust the check but she didnâ??t take the cost of the salad off she gave a 10% discount on the bill which still gave a 50 cent increase in the cost of the meal. Also when dining at a supposedly â??upscaleâ? restaurant I donâ??t expect to have my ears assaulted by Fox News or another news or sports program on TV. After twice being disappointed in the service I will not be returning. I suggest if you eat there to check you bill to make sure you arenâ??t over charged.

Grand Circus Diner – Menu with Prices – 1570 Woodward Ave, Detroit

We wanted to eat before the Tigers game and we chose this place. We sat down and was acknowledged about 5 min later with water. About 10 minutes later , we got menus. 10 min later we were able to finally order. Our waitress disappeared…for a long time and then came back with ” our we ready to order ..”Our party of 8 placed our order and we waited another 30 min for our food. While ” waiting” .. we could see our food that some of use ordered ..sitting up on the hot plate waiting to be served. Waitress was no where to be found . Another waitress came by to refill our waters- and we asked if that was our food sitting there .. She went up and grabbed 2 of our plates. One was mine . The fish meal. My fries were cold , my fish was mushy. The other 5 people didn’t get their food for another 15 min , after we complained to yet another manager that our table wasn’t fully served. I ate my fish, ( to wait another 10-15 for her to come back.. and I didn’t eat all day…) but left the fries and asked for fresh hot ones. Our bills came and we pulled the manager aside and told him our experience. He apologized,.. and eventually told us that ” after the game … to come back and we would get 1/2 off drinks”… come back at 11 pm? For drinks? To sit and wait again? Are you crazy? What a horrible experience. This was a joke . The waitress should of asked for help so her tables weren’t waiting on her. We also noticed other people who ordered after us , got their food before us. They ordered the fish also . Just ridiculous. $15 for 3 bite size pieces of fish and 10 cold fries … with dry Cole slaw .. not worth it. Get the burger . It’s more filling , and prob served hot

The Filling Station – Menu with Prices – 6259 11th St, Rockford

Awful. The owners antagonize front and kitchen staff nightly. The fries are stored in a refrigerator for weeks when they are meant to be stored frozen. When the frost on frozen fries melts and gets pulled into the potato, they turn out pretty terrible. I was unceremoniously fired for trying a fry (trying to make the soggy trash work as best as possible). Some of the kitchen staff really does care, but at the same time sometimes the owners come back and “help” cook turning the kitchen to chaos and food worthless. Owners like to make fries too soon, they cool, and then they refry them when they think they need them. Sometimes they repeat this process multiple times, and fries fried 3+ times are NASTY. Menu prices are outrageous and there are WAY too many items on it.

Northstar Grill & Pub – Menu with Prices – 4305 W 61st St N, Sioux Falls

Ordered the Northstar cheeseburger with fries, wife had shrimp basket with fries. Menu is small which can be a good thing. Service was great! Their fries are flat, new to me. I didn’t want to like them but I did! Food all around was good, forgot to order the burger med rare and it came well done but had fresh flavor and wasn’t dry so I take that as a sign of good beef and a good cook. Dart machines and jukebox, plenty of parking, lunch special and happy hour. Now it’s sounding like a paid endorsement but it’s not. I would recommend the place for a good meal.
