Went here on March 29th with my husband and a few of his co-workers. This place is a spot that they like to frequent and I can see why. First off let me mention the only food that I sampled was their cheesy garlic bread and it was delicious. However, my husband and co-workers tell me that the grinders that they get are delicious. They have two different sizes an 8″ and a 16″ and from the ones that I saw they looked great and didn’t skimp out on any of the fillings. This place is also known to have beers and spirits. The co-workers always gets beer and I, of course, had to try out the mixed drinks. I did not order any thing that he had on the menu. In fact, I asked him to whip me up something sweet. He came back with a tasty cocktail that contained Huckleberry Vodka. It was almost like a Sex on the Beach but with huckleberry. Once I finished that drink I decided to challenge him again only this time i challenged him with Jack Daniels Honey Whiskey. Before he gave me the entire drink he had me try a sip and it was very very good. From what I could remember him telling me it was Jack Daniels Honey, lime, Peach Shnapps, and Sprite. I asked him what he called it and he wasn’t sure. So the group came up with ‘Honey, May I?’ I think it sounds great. The owner is a very nice guy and you can tell that he loves what he does just from his work in the food and drinks. The place is a decent size and it has a very local feel to it. They also have a couple of TV’s there where you can catch the game (or two). I will definitely come back and this time I will make sure to try a grinder for myself.

Late Night Liquor – Menu with Prices – 1249 NE 11th Ave, Fort Lauderdale

This place is way over priced! They may be open late, but you’re going to pay for it. For a 750ml bottle of Jack Daniels which typically goes for $24-$28 will run you $39.99 here. Be careful and ask for the prices first.

Woodshed Pizza – Menu with Prices – 3207 E Sprague Ave, Spokane

The gal that worked there is somewhat friendly. However, the environment is very dull. Thier are mice traps behind the pin ball and bowling machine games. The view I got of the kitchen was dreadful… Cleaning products were above and next to a Crock-Pot. That just puts me off. I don’t want to it to be so easy to see any cleaning products in a Kitchen. That goes below the sink, or in it’s own storage with other cleaning products. Also, I’m afraid, at least for me, that I’d like to see someone in there with more knowledge of the bar and how to make cocktails and what not. I wasn’t impressed when I asked for Tennessee Whiskey, was told she didn’t have it and I took the “next best thing”. Well my husband and I only stayed long enough to finish the one drink. On my way out though, I looked to the bar, and I saw…. JACK DANIELS TENNESSEE WHISKEY!! That is just too sad. Anyways, probably won’t see us there again. Give the place a remodel and new staff.

ABC SELECT SPIRITS – Menu with Prices – 303 W Fairview Ave, Montgomery

This store has medium variety of alcohols and mixers in stock. The prices are comparable to other local package stores. And their hours are convenient. My only beef (which is not with the store) is that I have been looking all over for Jack Daniels green apple whiskey. I posted a question here asking if this store has it, and someone replied yes. When I went to the store I found out, they do not carry it.

Flatiron Coffee – Menu with Prices – 2721 Arapahoe Ave, Boulder

My husband and I were staying nearby and this place was within walking distance of our hotel. A few things: 1. Try the honey latte Along with the snow cap, the honey latte has one of their signature drinks. Since it was around 90 degrees when we were there, I opted for an iced drink. I asked to go light on the sweetness since I generally don’t like my drinks too sugary. 2. Accepts credit cards! (Yay…because you never know and I’m horrible about carrying cash on me unless told in advance that I need to.) 3. Friendly staff – the barista was more and happy to break down the menu and explain their signature drinks as well as options to customize (e.g. oat milk etc) 4. Hang out/work – this is definitely the kind of place to relax with a friend or work on something. When I was there, I saw a good mix of people socializing as well as those working on their laptops. 5. Located in a small plaza with available parking. For those who walked over (yours truly), it’s very easy to find. That’s it! Enjoy your coffee!

Tastea Frisco – Menu with Prices – 6363 Dallas Pkwy, Frisco

Super duper busy on opening day even though it was rainy! I missed the free drink by 2 people in front of me which was sad but got to take advantage of the BOGO free. I got peach me sunshine and sunset peach. They were both very good and pretty refreshing! I thought that the honey boba was really cool because it is green here. When I got my drink, I thought it was wrong but they said that was the honey boba and their signature color for them was green. Interesting but also werid haha. I am not the biggest person on boba but wanted to try out their honey boba that day. The Boba was very good and chewy but it did get a little hard as I was drinking it ( i drank half then got busy and came back an hour later) and I beleive really good boba shouldn’t do that? I didnt get ice in my tea because it was cold out and so the boba was nice and soft but after a while, I guess my drink got cold and it did that. Not sure if this means much to anyone but I beleive big boba drinkers might not like this? The location it self is very small with a couple (5ish?) tables. And the location is kind of werid. Theres not much around there but it’s very close to frisco high school. It is a little out of the way for me to come here so I might not be here too often but the teas are pretty good. It is also a bit pricey compared to other places. My tea was 4.50 each and extra for the boba coming out to be about a little under 6 dollars. I think for a tea it’s pricy but since they had the bogo it wasn’t too bad. Definitely worth a try though! Especially if you are new to frisco area and as you get thirsty as you explore what Frisco has to offer.

Tastea Glendale – Menu with Prices – 9184 W Northern Ave Ste 105, Glendale

This boba shop is originated from California and after having it only twice in the Garden Grove location, I wasn’t impressed. However, after the long anticipated wait for this place to open, I gave it a shot. I came here during their soft opening on a Tuesday night. I came 30 minutes before they closed due to a friend wanting to go and luckily they weren’t busy. I tried their Peach Me Sweetea with honey boba ($4.25 for 20oz) and I was very impressed. It was a perfect amount of sweet and tea together! The Tris/Tristen (I believe that’s her name) was the cutest girl ever. She provided excellent customer service and explained the drinks very well! A couple days later, I stopped by this place again because I was in the area. I knew this place was more will known for their slushes so I tried their Peach Me Freezie with honey boba ($4.70 for 20oz) and I was just as impressed. This drink was the slush version of the Peach Me Sweetea so it was amazing! I also ordered their Shrimp On It with mild sauce ($6.25)! I was actually surprised how big the shrimps were. I believe there was a total of 8-10 shrimp pieces in the box they give you which is a fair amount for the price. Gina, their district manager was in town for the week and she provided great quality service. I wasn’t sure about the Watermelon Sensation drink but I was curious about it because it was a seasonal drink only. She was kind enough to let me switch out my drink and to let me try it! The drink to me was definitely refreshing and I can see why a lot of people like this one. She was also very nice and had a conversation with me as she acknowledged me as a customer. Overall the store is great! They did a great job for customer service, very fast, and they keep the place very clean! It’s on the smaller side so the seats are very limited but not a big deal to me. The franchise owners Dean and David are nice guys as well. The second time I came in, Dean sat down with me and had a conversation with me about place and he was very humble about his experience. I started coming here a couple more times after their Grand Opening. It started becoming very popular and busy! People from east side such as Gilbert, Chandler, and etc are making the effort to drive all the way down here just to try the boba place! Definitely keep it up!

Sidecar Doughnuts & Coffee – Menu with Prices – 270 E 17th St #18, Costa Mesa

For a Friday morning (09:30), the line at Sidecar wasn’t too bad (out the door), especially since my friend and I didn’t know what we wanted so it gave us some time to decide. I got an Apple Fritter (only on Fridays), Old Fashion, and Huckleberry. The latter two are cake donuts. Honestly, even though these doughnuts are pretty pricy ($3.50-$4 each), they are amazing and you’re definitely paying for quality. What I like about Sidecar is that their doughnuts aren’t super sweet. You can eat one or two without feeling sick from all that sugar. My favorite was the Apple Fritter (5 stars). It was fresh and warm with apple chunks inside. I’ve tried apple fritters from different places and they tend to be super fried and usually don’t contain as many apple chunks in them. They just don’t come close to Sidecar’s. This one was so soft with a pillow-like texture and smelled just like apple pie. I also enjoyed the Old Fashion and Huckleberry doughnuts as well. The Old Fashion was more dense and less crunchy than typical deep fried old fashioned doughnuts, but the taste and texture was even better. It has delicious vanilla taste + cinnamon smell combined with that melt-in-your-mouth quality and a sweet aftertaste. I had high expectations for the Huckleberry doughnut since it’s the most popular one at Sidecar. It was tart, with a light berry flavor, and not super sweet. The huckleberry glaze on top was delicious that added a little crunch. The doughnut was soft and had fresh huckleberries inside. But overall, it didn’t taste strongly like huckleberries to me, as if it was just a regular doughnut that happened to have huckleberry glaze on top. It was good, but I wish it retained more of the huckleberry flavor, which was found mostly in the glaze. Also, parking wasn’t too bad, but the parking in the plaza can get pretty full. You may have to park in the neighborhood or far from Sidecar, which is located on the right (almost corner) of the plaza. There’s not many tables outside, and at max, probably only fit about 3 people per table.

Jack Daniel’s – Menu with Prices – 2800 Opryland Dr, Nashville

We have been wanting to get into the Jack Daniel’s Restaurant for a while and quite often they are closed because of private parties but finally got in last night. Our waiter Devin was incredible. I was a little taken aback at the way they serve the salads… for example the wedge iceberg lettuce it’s plopped onto a piece of paper on a tray…. all the meals come on a tray, by the way and dressing was more mayonnaise than blu cheese. my wife ordered the buttermilk fried chicken sandwich. She said the chicken was okay but it was just too big to be in the bun and ate it separately. Seasoned french fries are wonderful and they give you a more than you can eat. I ordered a full rack of ribs. my wife thought they were way too smokey, I was okay with that, but wish they could have been done a little bit more. A warning about parking at Opryland. it’s $32 to park your car yourself, $40 valet. Jack Daniels does validate the parking so there’s no charge but make sure you get it validated… that’s a pretty hefty bump to take. Easiest access for the restaurant is in the Magnolia lot. they take No reservations but we came early around 6 and had no problem getting in.

The Teahouse Tapioca & Tea – Menu with Prices – 2089 Westheimer Rd, Houston

I used to come here awhile back. Back then, I wasn’t a big fan of the drinks here. They were average, but I came quite often because I wanted to use the study lounge they have in the back. Eventually, it got super busy, it was hard so me to find a seat to study so I stopped coming here. I stopped by this place yesterday, and to my surprise, the drinks were delicious. They have many choices of non-caffeined drinks, which I love. We ordered a regular milk tea, strawberry tea and berry lime tea (non-cafferined). They all tasted great. I’m highly recommend the berry lime tea. The barista recommended me that drink and now it’s my favorite. Also, five stars for customer service. They answered all my questions happily. The drinks came out super fast as well.

Hot Spot Bar & Grill – Menu with Prices – 1117 Jordan Ln NW #B, Huntsville

Do not go here. My wife and I and friends went tonight and the bartender was horrible! She was rude and didnâ??t know how to make simple drinks. We asked for a shot of Tequila dressed and chilled. She put warm tequila in a chilled glass and handed me a salt shaker. The told me she didnâ??t have any limes so she put a lemon on it. Then I order a sock and lime shot. She made it a drink then told me they didnâ??t have any lime juice. Then put a lime in it when remember from the shot e

It’s Boba Time – Menu with Prices – 136 S Brand Blvd, Glendale

We were craving boba and happened to be in the area we decided to stop by Boba Time for a couple drinks. The line was extremely long but we decided to wait it out. We ordered the Strawberry Matcha & Mango Peach Smoothie. My Strawberry Matcha drink wasn’t good, it tasted very watered down, not sweet enough, and barely had any strawberry flavor once it was all mixed together. Definitely not comparable to Boba Guys’ Strawberry Matcha Latte if you’ve ever had it. I would say the boba helped add sweetness to the drink, otherwise it would’ve been very bland and not much of a pleasure to drink. I would probably try a different drink next time if I was in the area and wanted boba again. The Mango Peach Smoothie tasted like your average Mango Peach Smoothie at other boba spots. Nothing too special about it but it tasted way better than the Strawberry Matcha.

L’s Sprinkles ‘n Things – Menu with Prices – 609 W 3rd St, Wilmington

I asked Lauren to make a birthday cake for my husband and and bring it over to his work as a surprise. She was so friendly and helpful and was able to make the cake and deliver it in just 2 days notice. The cake turned out gorgeous and my husband and his co-workers said it was delicious! I highly recommend her for not just her great service but also for her skill at making delicious and gorgeous desserts!
