This was my first time trying this place out and it was pretty good! I had the breakfast sopes with the salsa on the side and they were pretty tasty. The sopes had a nice crunch to them and good flavor. My dad had the huevos a la Mexicana over-easy and they were delicious. We got chips and salsa also but I wasn’t too crazy about the chips. They seemed overcooked but the salsa was alright. I’d recommend this place out for sure. If you get a flour taco prepare for a huuuuge tortilla!

Azuls Taco House – Menu with Prices – 1142 Edgewater St NW, Salem

Very underwhelming. I wouldnt call these authentic, only because I spend a great deal of time in Mexico (about every 6 weeks) and they arent even close. I could see how those who arent familer would call these “street tacos”. I Ordered the shrimp tacos. Tortilla is great and shrimp were cooked nice but wasnt very good. The shrimp is cooked in a style that I would put on a Po’boy, not in a taco. Cabbage “filler” needs some flavor, specifically a little cilantro and onions, maybe a sauce in with it. It had diced tomato that didnt add flavor and were mushy. Didn’t care for chipotle aioli sauce that came on shrimp. Ordered a side of chips and salsa and were served a tiny side of completly stale tostitos style chips and a cilantro tasting salsa that wasnt very good either. We thought it was a free sample till we realized that was the chip order. I would say slightly embarrassed that is what they are offering. I appreciate what they’re attempting but I have had better at various taco trucks around town.

Pescado Borracho – Menu with Prices – 2540 S Val Vista Dr # 104, Gilbert

Hello Taco Tuesday! If you are looking for a tasty adventure then you are in for a treat. My wife and I have been here a few times in the past with friends and have enjoyed but this was our first go at it on Taco Tuesday! Now let’s get something straight, they do not have a Taco Tuesday special – as they do Taco Thursday’s (go figure) but if you are a Tuesday person for Tacos like everywhere else then come between 3-6pm. Here’s why: 1) Happy Hour is amazing with frozen margaritas, wine and craft draft beer on special. 32oz Laguniyas IPA for $6!!!! Crazy good happy hour. Happy hour also does $1 off tacos so order during this HH also! 2) the Food is fresh and amazing. On this occasion I had the Octopus Tacos with a flour tortilla / and a Baja fish taco – both were perfect / large (they need to be for $5.50 and $6 respectively) / and filling. Adding chips and guac for like $2 is also a good deal considering your 1sr round of chips and salsa are on the house! BEST PART of all of this is that there were only like 4 couples in the whole place and our party of 3. Why? Guess no one knows how great this HH is and where they should really be vs. every other place that has lines and is super packed with screaming kids and grumpy people who hate fighting for tables and specials on Taco Tuesday.. Come Here – you won’t be disappointed!

La Casa del Pan con Lechón – Menu with Prices – 2795 W 78th St, Hialeah

I usually don’t order take out on weekdays but I got home later than usual and definitely did not feel like cooking. Browsing through the options on Uber Eats, I decided to try something different. The prices were very reasonable so we decided to order some taco salads which came out to less than $20. For the price I was not expecting much so I was pleasantly surprised when I saw how massive they were. The salads come in a fried tortilla bowl loaded with lettuce, pico de gallo, rice, beans topped with melted cheese and the protein of your choice with a side of guacamole and sour cream. They also provide tortilla chips on the side with red and green salsa. Ridiculously good deal. We have been ordering from them fairly frequently. What I Recommend: -Taco Salad: If you’re really hungry this is definitely a great choice. I love the carne asada taco salad while my boyfriend prefers the chicken one. Both proteins are seasoned and cooked to perfection. -Chicken Quesadilla: Comes with pico de gallo and tortilla chips. The chicken is really the star of this quesadilla. -Chicken Soup: Homemade, made from scratch chicken soup. So damn good. Served with a side of white rice for only $5. -Nachos: This is definitely something better to have at the restaurant since the chips can get a little soggy after a while but they are great. Fully loaded with shredded cheese, meat, beans and pico. Definitely a meal for two. This is place is like Taco Bell’s mom who is wholesome and likes to cook everything from scratch without crazy preservatives or ingredients she can’t pronounce which I appreciate.

Abelardo’s Mexican Food – Menu with Prices – 1200 S Minnesota Ave, Sioux Falls

Went there Friday April 26th. When I arrived I asked the young gentleman what was good (I like to find out what the staff likes to help me decide). He said “Everything”. I ordered the two taco plate. A friend ordered the taco and enchilada plate with a shredded beef taco and cheese enchilada. When our food arrived it was interesting that the amount of beans and rice was different on each of our plates. They use a Styrofoam plate that has three sections. Since the rice was in one section, the beans in another, my friend definitely had more of each. I expected the taco to be one of three things: 1) a flour tortilla (ie softshell) 2) a hard yellow corn fried tortilla (hardshell) or 3) a white corn tortilla lightly grilled (street taco). What I received was a flour tortilla deep fried and dark brown (on the edge of burned). Same with my friend’s taco. When I picked up my taco, there was nearly an 1/8th of an inch of grease in the third section. As I held the taco, the grease literally dripped out! I thought about adding a enchilada to my order at first, but now I was glad I didn’t. Here is the take-away. My plate had less beans and rice than my friend. My ground beef tacos were greasy and had nearly burned deep fried flour tortillas with very little seasoning. My friend’s shredded beef taco meat was tender, but without flavor and his shell was also nearly burned. His enchilada had little flavor also. The salsa bar was nice, as as the other reviewer mentioned, the salsa is a little spicy. They had sliced carrots and pickled jalapeno peppers, as well as radishes and fresh lime. The menu looks like Giliberto’s, the salsa bar looks like Giliberto’s but the portion size and flavors are not there. We felt like they were trying to imitate a good thing, but fell short. We cleaned our plates there and went to Taco Johns. I had a super burrito and small Ole’s. He had a hardshell taco and small Ole’s. Kinda sad when you have to order a meal after you have just finished one….

Tacos Villa Del Sol – Menu with Prices – 2802 Chihuahua St, Laredo

The place is located right next to the papi chulos drive thru and every time I would pass by there in the morning I would see a lot of people standing there. I always wondered why people would be standing outside in Laredo’s heat for some breakfast tacos. Last month I decided to give it a try since Its only 3 blocks from where we live. All I can say I wish I had gone before! I had a desebrada taco and a potato egg on flour tortilla. The tortilla is made from scratch and cooked to perfection, the desebrada meat has a great flavor that makes you want to eat more than one. They give you red and green salsa and both of them have the most delicious taste. The potatoes on my taco where cooked to perfection and with the red salsa added to them it was a match made in heaven! You all dont know what you are missing! They are MUST have tacos! I now got my co-workers hooked to their delicious tacos. Just a little advice, call ahead to place your order so you want have to be waiting. They call you once your order is ready for pick up.

Trejo Tortilla Factory – Menu with Prices – 1272 W 6th St #2705, San Bernardino

First let me start off by saying… AMAZING!… being new to the area I am still trying to find my go to spots and so far yelpers have sent me on a wild goose chase and many of these establishments have been epic fails!…. that being said… this place didnt have that many reviews only 3!… but they were all great and since it wasnt too far i decided to try a tortilla place again even though I had a horrible experience at las 4milpas the day before… my dog wont even eat the tortillas!…. i show up its a bit hidden and a worker greets me right away…. i notice the shelves are not heavily stocked which it good so it doesnt go stale… I buy a salsa roja some chips and asked if i can only get a half doezen of corn tortillas… the woman was soooo kind she said yes i explained i was new to the area and the horrible experience the day before and she expressed that they take pride in their quality and brought me some fresh piping hot coen tortillas steaight from the grill they were making them on… and She felt bad i was new here and i havent been steered in the correct direction so she gave me a sample of her pork tamale and flour tortilla… i was very greatful took a picture to upload and left… Im driving when the smell of the tortillas are calling my name…. I pull one corn one out and its extremely hot u can see the steam in the bag still and it was soooo DEE-LISH my only regret was not having butter!… i rushed home and ate the tamale… nice spongey moist and full of meat the tortillas were homemade.. the flour ones thin and taste with butter making them even better the corn was perfect in thickness and just an amazing flavor…. the chips were nice and thin and crisp… not salty at all which is great cuz i like to use them to make quick chilaquilles but wait thats not it!…. i baught the salsa because every week i drive to my gmas in ELA and pick up home made salsa for the week but i ran out early and wont be able to make it til friday so i asked for a red sauce and WATCH OUT…. it has a bit of a kick…. its awsome when a salsa can make your nose run u know its a good one!…. i will be having chilaquilles with that chips and salsa in the morning… I will go back… and sample the chicharron and carnitas cnt wait!… just try it and u wont regret it!

Tocaya Organica – Menu with Prices – 4712 N Goldwater Blvd STE 1210, Scottsdale

I went to Tocaya on Friday night with a friend and it was amazing! I tthink Tocaya is the perfect spot for a girls’ night, first date, weekend night for a light dinner and refreshments. Known for it’s vegan food, Tocaya still serves meat options which are pretty tasty. Interior: The decor is absolutely gorgeous, simple, yet elegant. Everything is bright and welcoming. Service: Amazing! Our server/bartender was sweet and prompt with our orders, and when I asked her for taco recommendations she was helpful. Appetizers: *Brussels Sprouts* *Guacamole w/ Plantain Chips* The guacamole wasn’t anything special. It was just simple mashed avocado with pomegranate. The plantain chips were delicious! Healthier than tortilla chips, but just as tasty. *Salsa and Chips*- The salsa is probably one of the best restaurant salsas we have ever tasted. If they sell this in the bottle, I want to buy it! The salsa is served with tortilla chips. Tacos: You have to order the tacos in 3 steps: 1. Choose type of taco 2. Choose type of protein 3. Choose type of cheese *Tulum Taco with Chicken Tinga + Queso Fresco* This was my favorite of the two tacos I tried. The “Tulum” part of the taco is grilled pineapple salsa with charred red pepper, red onion & arbol salsa. *Barrio Taco with Carne Asada + Oaxaca* The steak was delicious, but I probably will not order this taco again. Margaritas: *Passion Fruit Margarita* fresh and delicious! This had the perfect amount of hint of pomegranate without overpowering the margarita and tequila. *Tamarind Margarita* this brought me back to everything Indian tasting. I don’t think everyone will love this drink, but it was my favorite between the two margaritas I tried that night! Very fresh tasting. I can’t wait to try more flavors! *Strawberry Margarita* The mezcal in this drink was incredible. Not for everyone, but if you love mezcal and the smokiness, you will LOVE this margarita! I honestly couldn’t taste any flavor of strawberry, but that was okay because the smokiness is the star of this beverage. I do want to come back and try more margaritas, tacos, appetizers, and even the desserts. I’m happy that this SoCal restaurant has a location so close to me in Scottsdale!

Friends Coffee & Sandwich Shop Menu with Prices 200 3rd St NW, Albuquerque

I walked over here for lunch based on the Yelp reviews and I was not disappointed. The first time I went it was a little tricky to find because another review had said it was right next to the subway. Walking over from the convention center you do have to go to the middle of the Plaza to see this restaurant right next to the subway. Because even though you can see the Subway sandwich shop from the Main Street, friends does not go all the way through. I ordered takeout for me and a co-worker. I got a taco Burger because that was what the guy in front of me was picking up. The man at the counter was very nice and very thorough. He asked me if I wanted corn or flour tortillas and I trust corn. They cut the burger patty in half and it fits the tortilla perfectly. It came with a side tortilla chips and a green salsa that was very spicy. It was delicious. I had shown my coworker the reviews before I went and she wanted a turkey sandwich on the green Chile bagel. I wasn’t sure what she wanted on it so they packed everything on the side For her to pick and choose. She loved the sandwich. She said the turkey was very high quality and the bagel was not a typical bagel. It was a very thin bagel and perfect to make a sandwich on. So that your sandwich is not all bagel. I also had a cup of the green chile stew and it was delicious. Nice big chunks of potato and pork. The next day when I came back, the guy at the counter remembered me. And I ordered two turkey sandwiches on the green chile bagel and a cup of green chili stew for both of us. It was delicious. The sandwiches also come with a bag of chips or a piece of fruit. We will definitely be back when we are in Albuquerque!

Calle Tacos & Lounge – Menu with Prices – 1440 Secor Rd Suite 120R, Toledo

I’ve visited Calle a few times now. The restaurant’s style is identical to Barrio, which is a popular Mexican restaurant in the Cleveland area. The menu features a “made to order” and “build your own taco” style where you get a variety of proteins and toppings to choose from starting at $3/taco. This is a fun, unique concept, and I think it’s a great idea overall with typically good food. The free chips and salsa offered are not traditional Mexican restaurant chips; they are fried flour tortilla shells. I would say they’re similar to the Chalupa shell from Taco Bell in taste and nature, which I do like. Out of the 4 times I’ve gone there, I was only asked once if I wanted their hot or mild salsa, which was the first time. Now having tried both flavors, I personally prefer their hot salsa much more over the mild salsa option, so I don’t see why they don’t ask this as a standard. Either way, I think the chips and salsa one of the best parts of the food experience. I also have tried their queso with chorizo mixed in, and I enjoyed it also. The tacos themselves have been a hit or miss for me however. Each time I’ve gone it’s slowly gone down in how much I enjoy them. The first time I got a chorizo, chicken, and carne asada (steak) taco. The steak and chorizo were very yummy, and I felt the chicken didn’t have much seasoning to it and was okay. The thing I noticed was that there was a lot of liquid leaking from the meat at the bottom of my basket, which wasn’t bad but it did make the experience a little worse. Overall the first time, I had a great experience. The waitress was extremely nice and was checking in super often with us. The second time I steak, chorizo, and shrimp. The steak and chorizo again were very good, but the shrimp was not that good and had minimal flavor. The third time it was a lot busier than the previous two times. The waitress I had was not that attentive to our table. I didn’t get any refills given to me and she never came to check in on how we were doing. It was a busier night, but every other server seemed to be more frequently checking in on their tables, and our server seemed to have just disappeared when watching. I got a bowl this time for a $1 upcharge, expecting something more similar to a Chipotle burrito bowl, but it was a small bowl of food with chips on the side. The kitchen forgot to add the salsa onto the bowl as requested, which was a bummer but not a big deal. The taste of the meat with the toppings I chose went well together. It felt odd with the chips on the side, so I ended up throwing my bowl on top of the chips to make nachos with it. With the bowl, I personally would suggest opting away from the chips on the side and give a bigger portion of the bowl itself. If you want to keep the chips on the side, you could easily serve it as nachos instead. The last time was the busiest I’ve seen it, and there was a wait for a table, which I could see it being due to their Tuesday all you can eat taco special. We were seated and weren’t approached by a server for about 5 – 10 minutes. Once we did, we had put our orders in right away, and we waited for about another 10 minutes to get drinks and chips and salsa. I ended up doing the All You Can Eat Taco special. The catch of the special is that you can only get chicken or beef as the protein and you only can get it on a soft flour shell with lettuce, chopped tomatoes, and shredded cheese. We waited about 45 – 60 minutes to get our food, which had errors from the kitchen. I didn’t have any cheese on my tacos and my other friend didn’t get any of his BYO tacos and had to wait another 15-20 minutes for them to come out. Our server was nice and helping, but it did seem like she was doing a lot at once. The tacos I got honestly weren’t that good. The regular beef tasted identical to Taco Bell’s and the chicken was just kinda dry and not so flavorful. Had there been othe

Taqueria La Cabana – Menu with Prices – 4014 Indian River Rd, Chesapeake

I’ve been hearing my neighbor rave about this place since shortly after they opened. Apparently he has a regular night when he dines here WEEKLY. So – one day when I was feeling mucho lazy I used a competing dining delivery app. It’s within a 5 minute drive but I simply didn’t feel like putting a bra on to go inside to pick up a takeout order. ? It was THE fastest delivery order I’ve ever had and believe me – it was worth every cent. My order consisted of the chicken chimichangas entree (fried) that comes w rice and guacamole salad. I also ordered a side of refried beans and the cheese dip. Included at no additional cost were fresh fried tortilla chips w both red salsa and white sauce. (Don’t judge! I got a good 2.5 meals out of this) Everything was incredibly fresh and delicious. I believe they make their own tortillas – both corn and flour – because they didn’t taste like typical Mexican restaurant fare. Both rice and beans were yum. Even the lettuce/guacamole/tomato salad on the side w sour cream seemed unusually fresh. Tortilla chips were still hot. Salsa is super tasty – lots of flavor but not too hot. The white sauce had a bit extra tang with a tad more heat. Loved them both! I enjoyed my leftovers a day and a half later. Obviously fried tortillas don’t reheat as well and the shredded chicken got a bit dried out in the microwave, but I just added the salsa and was able to fully enjoy that second meal. My husband was upset I ate there without him so I suspect we’ll go and dine in soon. More on that later!

Taqueria El Nuevo Perico #2 – Menu with Prices – 3702 E Chapman Ave, Orange

This taqueria is definitely delicious and authentic. The Carne Asada taco was very juicy and well seasoned and they use flour tortillas. The street tacos come with cilantro and onion on top with a side of grilled onion and radishes. I also bought the taco combo with carne asada (picture) which comes with rice, beans, and the onions. The Al Pastor taco (in the picture) was really tasty and juicy. The best part of this restaurant is that none of the meats were dry, but they’re a bit overpriced. However, the tacos are a bit larger than small corn tortilla tacos. There are definitely tastier tacos for cheaper if you’re willing to drive further out of Orange, but for a local, fast service taco, this is an excellent choice. There is also a lot of seating here and the place is large and clean, including a restroom.

Rocco’s Tacos & Tequila Bar – Menu with Prices – 9123 Strada Pl #7135, Naples

First time to Roccos and it was overall a good experience. I sat at the bar with a friend during Happy Hour and it was extremely busy. Their Happy Hour Prices are VERY good. I loved the decor walking in and the place was buzzing. It took about 5 mins for someone to come up to us for our order – understandable as they were very busy. We each ordered a drink off the happy hour menu $5 each. Then we ordered chips to share ($2), a chicken taco ($2) and a beef taco. Drinks: They were very strong but delicious – I only needed one! Food: The chips and salsa were delicious. They put seasoning on their chips so I asked that I get half of the chips plain and half seasoned. I liked the seasoning, just not a lot of it. The pico was simple but tasty. The tacos were alright, not super authentic but tasty enough for $2. Atmosphere: The decor is nice and there are high ceilings inside. The bar is extremely crowded with little space between each chair. Also, it is very hot during the summer and they keep the window open between the bar and the outdoors. It would be nice to have a little more AC. Service: It is hard to service 55-60 people at a bar, but it makes it more difficult when they are no assigned sections for the bartender. The bartenders float around the bar, and you do not know who to wave down when you need something. The service was poor until the bartender Victoria approached us. She was very nice and gave us quick service for the remainder of our stay. Overall, great atmosphere, food and drinks! Service needs to improve at the bar – I think the solution would be assigned sections. Can’t wait to come back ?
