I attended a Maquiladora Expo the other day and stopped by….The Food was EXCELLENT!!!…I even brought people down to try, even though there was food being served at the event!….Even though I’am not a current student, I will go just for the food not to mentioned the staff…Top Notch!

Las Mañanitas Restaurant – Menu with Prices – 1329 S Hazelwood Blvd, Fresno

Well, I broke from my normal order and again was happy with the food! Very nice to stop for eat in or take out as the owners are great people who welcome you. EVERY meal I have ordered has been great! —————– Stopped in again and this place never fails! The owners are the nicest people and food remains top notch… You will not be disappointed! —————- Update… Stopped in again, and again… still fantastic! Don’t miss out on this place! ———- Just wanted to pass on this little gem of a restaurant. The owners are top notch good people. Service and food is always great. I eat here regularly and always look forward to seeing what’s new on the menu.

The Looking Glass Beauty Lounge Menu with Prices 3514, 12717 Hooper Rd, Baton Rouge

This is the ONLY salon in town that anyone should use. I have been to many many salons and this place is something like you would find in the high end salons in New York or Los Angeles ð???. They keep current with all the techniques with coloring and cutting. If you are looking for the most current, advanced services of a salon, you will find it here. I use the owner, ??Shauntelle Fisher??, but ALL of the stylists are top notch. Stop getting the same old hilights and lowlights and come experience what this salon can do for your color. This place is a masterpieceâ?â?â?â? ð???ð???ð???ð???ð???

Selam Ethiopian & Eritrean Cuisine – Menu with Prices – 5494 Central Florida Pkwy, Orlando

My wife and I are always on the lookout for good Ethiopian restaurants, saw the high rating for this one while we were in town and gave it a try. This place did not disappoint. Not only was the staff extremely friendly, but the food was top-notch, maybe the best we?ve had. My wife and I almost finished the entire veggie sampler which is meant for 2+ people, just couldn?t stop eating. I was full the rest of the night but still couldn?t stop thinking about how good it was. I even asked my wife if she wanted to get a to-go Grubhub order brought to us the next day before we had to fly home, but in the end we were just too pressed for time otherwise we were seriously considering it. The gentleman who initially greeted and served us brought me an excellent spiced tea, and made sure we were familiar with the cuisine offering to answer any questions we had. So great to have such nice staff and fantastic food to boot, I almost want to fly back down to Orlando just to eat there again. If you like Ethiopian food and are in the area do yourself a favor and go. If you?re not sure you should at least try it, if you don?t like it here you won?t like it anywhere.

The Playhouse #2 – Menu with Prices – 2773 Webster Ave, The Bronx

This hall is a secret supricing waiting to be explore and trust me when I say it. You would never know what to expect from the outside of the place and location. But wow! It’s indeed very beautiful once set up for whatever event you are planing for. It’s not extreamly big but remember good things come in small packages. The staff servering and attending to the event are indeed very professional attentive and willing to make it a wonderful event for everyone. I attended a friend’s wedding here and it was very elegant looking has two beautiful chandelier. I indeed recommend this place if you are looking for a place that can grant you with a memory full of joy, happyness, and a forgetful night. Also a place where they care about your pocket expenses… You have to see it to BELEIVE it….

California State University San Bernardino – Menu with Prices – 5500 University Pkwy, San Bernardino

I was excited to attend here as a veteran student. Unfortunately, my experience has been a bad one so far as a veteran student. Typically, I am hesitant to write reviews and allow time to play things through especially as a transfer student. The veterans office dropped the ball; I filled my paperwork with them back in July for post 9/11, and it took me following up in August to see were my paperwork was at and for them to notify me they needed one additional piece. Took them approximately two months and ME following up to tell me that.

Fresh Donut – Menu with Prices – 5000 Eldorado Pkwy Suite #410, Frisco

I was googling different donut shops in the area to pick-up for an event. The night before I went on their website to figure out if this was the best place to get some donuts. I looked over their pictures and found their prices on the website, which is ultimately what I was looking for. On their website they have an area where you could email what you are looking for/ what you are wanting. Unfortunately, they never responded back to my email. When I called the next day (the day of the event), the gentleman that I spoke with reassured me that he would be able to get me the amount I was needing, before the time that I asked for it to be ready. When I entered the shop, my donuts were right on the counter, ready for me to checkout. I was in and out of the shop in less than 5 minutes. When I brought the donuts to the event, everyone was raving about them. While I picked up an hour before my event, the donuts were still fresh when served. We ordered the variety and they were all delicious! I would 100% recommend this donut shop for many reasons including: customer service, timing, preparedness and freshness.

Leopold’s Tavern Winnipeg Osborne – Menu with Prices – 696 Osborne St, Winnipeg

+.5 for service This place has an amazing breakfast selection. At least, that’s all I had here so far, but looking at options such as a bucket of bacon, I definitely believe there’s a lot to offer here. Their breakfast club menu has lots of wonderful choices including chicken and waffles and the hangover cure. I went with the breakfast club brekkie with bacon and poutine. Needless to say I’m glad I went with their bacon. It really deserves the hype it does! I attended a friend’s wedding at the Park Theatre beside the restaurant last year, and Leopold’s served them a bucket of bacon since they mentioned how they love bacon so much. It was great then and it’s still great today. The eggs were prepared well and the poutine was worth the $2.50 extra given the portion size (huge!). Service was excellent and the servers were very efficient with their work here. I’d definitely return to try their dinner menu, or have a night at a South Osborne bar.

K Restaurant – Menu with Prices – 401 E 8th St, Sioux Falls

This restaurant has the absolute freshest ingredients. We had the Cuban sandwich and the shrimp bowl. Absolutely fantastic. People are extremely friendly and service was excellent. We brought the dog along and they brought a bowl out of water and treats for him as well. It’s on 8th and railroad center in Sioux Falls and it is a must stop. Don’t miss it it’s at the end of 8th & Railroad Center again it’s at the end of 8th & Railroad Center don’t miss it. You will not be sorry that you stopped.

Stranahan’s Colorado Whiskey – Menu with Prices – 200 S Kalamath St, Denver

I love this place!!! There’s a reason it’s the #1 yelp reviews in the country… the whiskey is amazing, and the people are even better! I visited last night with a group and what fun!! I had stopped in last year when my husband attended a private event with a group, but I only had time for one drink. This time I got the tasting tour, so great! Kevin was our guide he is funny, knowledgeable and super enthusiastic about everything Stranahan’s. He had a great sense of humor and made it really enjoyable. I can’t believe how much Kevin knows and how he can rattle off all the info, yet, not sound scripted, that’s a skill! Now let’s talk whiskey. We sampled the original and the black diamond on this tour. Really… I’ve tried a few to include the sherry and snowflake, this place just doesn’t know how to make a bad whiskey!! I love the carmelly smoothness of the original and then, the black diamond just takes the smoothness up a notch. Mmmmm I live the tingly goodness! Ok now the bartenders… they are the best. I wish every bar had a Stranahan’s bartender!!! I talked to Lucas about a twist on a Manhattan they had done for the group last year, and he remembered them and the specifics of the drink!!! Even though the drink I requested wasn’t on the limited menu we had, he had no problem making a Manhattan with a twist of cinnamon and some other delightful concoctions. They have a great selection of all their whiskeys and fresh herbs, whiskey soaked cherries and other fresh ingredients to infuse or smoke to create a spectacular drink. Or you know, don’t mix anything in your whiskey and that’s fine too.

Daniel Island Park Club – Menu with Prices – 715 Island Park Dr, Daniel Island

I had the opportunity to dine and go to a few events at the D.I. club and enjoyed it thoroughly. But I am only going to review the golf experiences I have had there, as this review would soon resemble a novel, if I were to put to words how enjoyable the clubs other attributes are. The 18 hole “Ralston Creek” is an exciting 18 hole regulation course, where you need to step up your game a notch, if not these 2 courses will cut you in half.. From the longest tees, the course plays to about 7,446 yards of golf for a par of 72, that my friends is about current U.S.OPEN length, with a lower slope rating though.course rating is 74.4 with a slope rating of 134. The Nationwide tour still hosts an event here and truthfully, if there were the room for bleachers, concessions and transportation. With a few weeks work to narrow the fairways and toughen up the greens, I believe the PGA could host an event here, it is that good.The course was designed by Rees Jones and opened in 2006. The 18-hole “Beresford Creek” course at the Daniel Island Club features 7,093 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 72 . This is the older of the two courses and opened around 2000.The course rating at Beresford Creek is 74.4 and it has a slope rating of 134, so it plays shorter, but no less difficult.

Coffman Memorial Union – Menu with Prices – 300 Washington Ave SE, Minneapolis

As a student at the University of Minnesota, Coffman Memorial Union is a fun place to go grab a bite to eat, hang out, or meet up with friends. On the bottom floor there is bowling ally, and places to study and on the next floor up you can find the cafeteria with food options like Chick-fil-A, Einsteins, and Panda Express. Up another floor you find comfortable chairs (some of them kinda old and falling apart) and fire places that are a nice touch especially during the winter. Every now and then you may be serenaded by a fellow student playing the piano right around the corner from the fireplace. One the upper floors there are larger rooms for student group meetings and activities. You can also find a movie theater and the student store with all the golden gopher gear you need to show your school spirit. Overall it’s a great place to hang out and enjoy the student spirit, however if you are trying to study, a library may be a better bet for you.

Strawberry Fields Smoothies & Gelato – Menu with Prices – 1510 Colley Ave, Norfolk

I really hate to do this BUT unfortunately I have to . Let me start by saying SF is one of my Favorite small business in the area. I have been a faithful customer for the past two years . I had a very unfortunate experience with one of their employees a few minutes ago . I’m assuming she is a new employee because I never seen her before ( she has short black hair ) . When we entered the store she did not greet us , she actually presented us with a death stare ( however she greeted customers that came in after us how ironic ) . When it was time to check out I said oh may we get the student discount , she said we don’t have one . ( I was here on 8/29/19 and I used the student discount with my ODU ID ) . After I told her that I just used it she got a attitude and said ok , I can give you the EVMS student discount. Issues : no greeting , lying about discount and attitude I don’t appreciate the way that we were treated and I pray that the store has cameras with audio so that y’all can observe the interaction ( we were there on 8/31/19 around 5:00 PM ) If SF doesn’t want to apply student discounts there is no reason to offer it !!!
