Really kind of a strange place. I’d read about it a few times and wanted to try it. The first time I called in a carryout order I was told it would take an hour. So I said forget that and no thanks. But it was on a Saturday so I figured there might be a good reason. So I tried late on a Sunday (around 7:30 PM). When I ordered the guy hung-up before I could get a time. So I started heading there and then got a call back from the restaurant because they wanted my name so I asked them a time and they said 45 mins… So I was already on my way and I figured what the heck. Also, at this point I was wondering wtf was going on. Was the restaurant that packed? Were they getting that many carryout order? Maybe they had one little old lady in the kitchen?? So I get to the restaurant to pick my food up (about 8:00 PM) and it’s half empty. I don’t see any big line picking up or big stacks of take out food waiting. But sure enough it ended up taking me about 45 mins to finally get my food (had to sit there and wait). The guy behind the counter (I’m assuming owner or manager) was very nice and laid back. But I have no idea what takes this restaurant so long to make an order? I got some glimpses through the door back to the kitchen and it seemed like a lot of people working there. The food was ok, I really liked the pad thai but the rest I ordered (chicken satay, squid salad) was pretty average. I can’t help thinking that the restaurant isn’t so good as the other restaurants in the area are so bad. But I would definitely try it again (and other menu items) if the carryout wait wasn’t so ridiculous.

Delish Thai – Menu with Prices – 6305 NE Hwy 99, Vancouver

Our favorite thai restaurant was the worst tonight. I didn’t leave a tip at all and I’m not sure if I’ve ever done that. Here is what happened….. we came in to our favorite place…got water and menus and waited. It looked like only one girl was working so we continued to wait and there wasn’t any communication like “sorry for the wait, I’ll be right there”. We waited until an additional waitress showed up to work and noticed us so the menu to order time was about 15-20 mins. Yay! We finally ordered so no harm no fowl….or so we thought but the service actually got worse. I recieved my pineapple fried rice and we waited for my fiance’s pork belly pad thai. About 5 minutes went by so we started eating my food (which was yummy as always). Some more time went by and then we could hear someone ask about the pad thai near the kitchen. We finally asked the waitress (the first one that gave us menus but didnt take our order) and she told us that they were making it now. Why is the pad getting cooked 20 mins after the first? I don’t know. About 10 minutes later the pad thai arrived and most of the pork belly was over cooked like crunchy bacon and at no point did anyone come over to say sorry for the wait or explain what happened or just admit that they forgot to make the pad thai in the beginning. When the bill finally came (we waited awhile for that too) we explained to the waitress (that took our order) that the second dish didn’t come out until nearly 30 minutes after the first and it was ridiculous how she tried to say it just takes longer to cook. What!? We have ordered these dishes before just admit that you messed up. People make mistakes, just own up and show a little customer service.

The Port House Social Bar & Kitchen – Menu with Prices – 139 Lakeshore Rd E, Mississauga

Arrived at the restaurant at 530pm on a Saturday night, restaurant was not to busy. Was seated near the bar. Ordered Calamari ass an app, 30 mins later server told us the kitchen didnt see the ticket but the app would be out in 2 mins and would be on the house and gave us 2 tequila shots which was great. However, the mistakes didnt stop there, my wife ordered the soppressata pizza which came out and was good however despite me stating I want the jerk chicken dinner and confirming with the server, i received an order of jerk chicken tacos. The server then took this back but did not come to update me. Jerk chicken dinner finally arrived 25 mins later. At neither time did anyone come an update us, I had to go ask for an update. Food was actually great when it arrived but service was the worst. On a side note…stage area near the bar seems to be turned into some kind of play area where children are allowed to run around and play with soccer balls and scream. Not sure if the restaurant was aware of this. Go to this restaurant if you want bad service and hear kids, such a let down as food was good.

RD’s Southern BBQ – Menu with Prices – 25 Aventura Ct, Mississauga

TLDR: If you only have an hour lunch during the work week this place is not for you. Came here with two coworkers on Friday during lunch hour and the restaurant was fairly busy, about 60% full. We arrived at about 12:30 and placed our orders in about 10 mins. By 1:20, we noticed our food had not arrived yet, nor did any of the staff come by to give us an update. We started to worry about timing, and my coworker decided to speak the staff to see how much longer it would take. The server went to the kitchen to check on our dishes but didn’t get back to us until 10 minutes later. She told us our meals were currently in progress and should be out shortly. We told her we wanted to get our meals to-go our as lunch hour was up. She apologized for the wait and went back into the kitchen. Another 15 minutes went by until we finally received our meals to-go. The server apologized once again as we settled up the bill. I sympathized with her as it was not her fault that the kitchen was clearly understaffed. By the time we had left the restaurant it was approx 1:50 pm and finally got back to the office at 2 pm with our meals. I was hangry. I had the catfish po boy with coleslaw and mac and cheese. Po boy was okay, but a bit under-seasoned and tasted a little fishy. No big deal. Mac and cheese was over-cooked with a layer of crispy cheese on top but no breadcrumbs. Coleslaw was pretty good. Overall pretty disappointed with this restaurant. Food wasn’t bad but the wait time just wasn’t worth it. I really hope restaurant management realizes the issue and addresses it as when we left, half the tables were still waiting for their food.

Mar Y Tierra – Menu with Prices – 2531 82nd St, Lubbock

Terrible slow service. Hello we’re here waiting…still waiting. We were seated rather quickly. Didn’t do much good because we continued to wait at the table. A solid 12 mins passed before the hostess noticed we hadn’t been given water when she was seating another table. She walked over to remind the waitress we were there. It was not that busy. Meanwhile our waitress had restocked chips and salsa to a table with two guys she was chit chatty with and giggling with. I know your young and cute but I have hangry kids. Finally she got the drink order and given the Time it took to get drinks I put in the appetizer order at the same time. She seemed annoyed I was breaking protocol but took it. I asked for the fresh drinks of the day and she read the list but it tasted as if the lemonade was not fresh but powdered. The strawberry lemonade was better. Next we waited and waited for chips 27 mins later we got the queso, guacamole and 2 little tiny salsas but no chips…we waited to flag down another waitress for chips. I have two teen boys and a 5 year old and that one little bowl of chips the size of a small salad bowl didn’t last for a table of 5 and neither did the tiny salsa serving so less than 5 mins later we needed more chips and salsa and the wait continues. 15 mins before anyone even notices us and again it’s the hostess that brought us the chips. She apologizes for delay and no one has refilled our drinks. I explained I don’t mind paying for chips. Yes this places charges for chips and salsa. So finally get an extra salsa. We order and the wait continues another 35 mins. I don’t mind waiting for food when it’s fresh but I don’t like meals coming in pieces. Caldo was delicious but had to wait 5 mins just to get my corn tortillas. My son got his chorizo and egg but had to wait for flour tortillas. My husband has a big platter but had to wait for sides and tortillas. Everyone got the meal incomplete and we all got our plates at different times. I was first with a good 5 minute lag for my teens to get their meals. Then 10 mins later my husband and by then the 5 year old was upset. He received his plate last i was almost done with my soup at that point. As we were finishing they finally brought us the Grilled jalapeños we ordered. No refills unless I flagged the hostess. The food is good so clearly the chef is doing his job and the hostess was doing a lot more than I’ve ever seen a hostess do. She waited on us more than our server. Some of the girls were chatting away at the refreshment area while the hostess walked around checking up on things. The only comment I would make is that the floors were dirty. Food everywhere on floor but we arrived at 6:30 so maybe many people had eaten but dirty floors need to be cleaned up.

The Low Beat Menu with Prices 335 Central Ave, Albany

I’m sorry to have to give the lowest rating possible, but I have my reasons. Normally I would never give a one star review, but this was not a good experience. I had heard so many good things about the Rock n’ Roll Brunch at The Low Beat. One Sunday a month, they offer a special brunch menu first come, first served. My roommate and I had been trying to get to one since October, but various circumstances had prevented us from getting a chance until this past Sunday. To say we were excited was an understatement. The menu looked phenomenal and we were finally getting a chance to see for ourselves what all the hype was about. We arrived right at 10:30 as the doors opened. We were the last two people in the door and because of that, we were the first name placed on the wait list by the girl who greeted us. About two minutes later, however, a gentleman who I assume is the owner or manager came up to us and told us there was a 2-top open and sat us. The entire restaurant had just been sat, and we were the last two to sit, so I expected a small wait before we could order. Our drink order was taken and after our drinks made it to the table, we placed our food order. A little bit later is when things started going downhill. I know this is a “Rock n’ Roll Brunch” but the person they had in charged of entertainment wasn’t playing to the right room in my opinion. I know this is a bar where bands play, but with brunch in a tight space with the tables practically on top of each other and children eating, maybe having one guy play abstract noise rock on his electric guitar by himself isn’t the best choice of entertainment. I understand this is not how everyone feels, but it was enough to disturb my and my roommate’s dining experiences. We had been waiting a very long time for food. I was almost finished with my cocktail which was kind of strong (at least for me on a Sunday morning) and I was really hoping to get some food in me to balance the alcohol. My roommate had to step outside for a few minutes as the guitar performance was starting to give him a headache. We were growing impatient by this point. The one hour mark had just been passed since we ordered. I understand they had an entire restaurant to feed, but it was only ~30 patrons and it was a menu of 5 things so it seemed to me that it shouldn’t take so long. When we asked our waitress, she told us the kitchen was backed up and she had just checked on it. At this point I refused to take my eyes off of the window where they put out the food. I watched as three other tables got their orders and we did not. What finally set me off however was seeing the third table get their food. We had noticed the people at that table standing by the door waiting to be seated for about 20 minutes after we had ordered, and they got their food before we did. One of them even had the same thing my roommate ordered. At this point it had become obvious that our waitress had forgotten to put our order in and then lied to us saying the kitchen was backed up. We got the attention of the manager to tell him how long we had been waiting and that we wanted to leave and he told us not to pay for our cocktail and our coffee. However, as he was approaching us I heard our waitress tell him “I just checked on them, it’s backed up.” This is what really upset me. My roommate and I have about 16 years of food service experience between the two of us. I know when a kitchen is backed up. If it was really the fault of the kitchen’s pace, they would have gotten us our food before the people who sat down 20 minutes after us. We would have been before them in the order that the food goes out. So what happened was our waitress lied to us. All I ask for is some honesty. If she had told us twenty minutes before that point that she had forgotten to put our order in, we probably would have left then but we would understand that mistakes happen. It would have been annoying, but I don’t think I would have been

Sushi Bistro TASUKI – Menu with Prices – 1575 Folsom St #201, Boulder

My friends and I were staying in Boulder and happened to crave sushi one night. We found this place on Yelp and decided to check it out after seeing that it had relatively good reviews. For a small restaurant, they were pretty busy when we arrived but we didn’t wait too long for a table (probably less than 10 mins). However, there seemed to be only one server taking orders while the rest of the staff were either bringing food out or bussing tables. It took at least 20-25 mins to even get our drinks ordered, maybe another 20 mins to order our food and another 35ish mins to actually GET our food (except the miso soup and dumpling appetizers came within about 15 mins). By this time, we were starvingggg. The miso soup was pretty flavorful but the dumplings were mushy and not at all appetizing. I ordered the Orgasm Roll which was definitely NOT orgasmic at all. For what it’s worth, I would have much rather ordered two basic rolls like a shrimp tempura roll and something similar as it lacked the flavor and melt-in-your-mouth goodness I was expecting. My friends ordered the spider roll (too salty) and the # 9 roll (pretty decent). Overall, I wasn’t too impressed with this place and don’t think I would recommend it to any real sushi lovers out there.

The Crab Shak III – Menu with Prices – 655 St Andrews Rd, Columbia

Giving this place a 1 star because it’s a MAJOR disappointment. Wish I could set it to a .5 but a 1 will just have to do for now. I had had their crab legs a few months prior to my experience today, and I wasn’t impressed. They lacked flavor and that kick that most crab spots are supposed to have. So I made up in my mind that I wouldn’t go back for their crab legs anymore. Well today I ordered takeout from the Asian restaurant next door, went to go pick it up and decided that I would go and order an extra side from The Crab Shack, in case my food wasn’t enough to fill me up. So I go in and ask the woman managing the register “How long is the wait? Because I already have food in the car, and I don’t want it to get cold.” She looks me dead in my eyes and tells me “15 minutes at most.” So okay, fine. I don’t live too far away, so I figured that my food in the car would just be starting to cool down at that point, so that when I got it home it would still be hot enough to eat. I placed my order for the small jambalaya, paid, then waited. 10 minutes go by, 20 minutes go by, 30 minutes go by, 40 minutes go by, 45 MINUTES go by, 50 MINUTES GO BY!!! It was literally an entire hour wait. People who came in after me were getting their food before me. Finally I go up to the register and I say nicely “I’d like a refund”, and I hand her my card. She makes an uncertain face and says “I don’t think we can do refunds on cards.” So I said “what do you mean you don’t do refunds on cards?” So she says, “here, give me one minute and let me see if your order is ready.” So she disappears into the kitchen, then comes back with the jambalaya I ordered. IF IT WERE THAT EASY, HOW COME YOU DIDNT GO CHECK ON IT TO BEGIN WITH? At this point I’m irritated, because 1. I’m sure my food in the car is cold, but 2. How long does it take to make a small jambalaya? Definitely not an hour. Oh an by the way, when I got in the car and looked at the jambalaya, it looked like slop that they just threw in a cup. When I tasted it, it lacked flavor just like their crab legs, it was disgusting and I wasn’t impressed yet again. I’m certain I will not be returning this time, not for ANYTHING!

LongHorn Steakhouse – Menu with Prices – 2310 Lincoln Hwy E, Lancaster

We used call ahead seating, which was great – we were seated within 5mins of arrival at 5:20pm (2 adults, 2 children). Our waitress Mya was very nice, took our drink/appetizer order promptly. When she came back, we were ready with our order. She left and we sat and chatted watching the tables around us. People who had ordered after us were getting their salads… then their meals… and we still didn’t have our salads and no sign of Mya. When she finally walked past our table (wasn’t stopping, but i caught her attention) I asked if our salads would be arriving. She said yes and left. She came back and apologized – she had forgot to put our order in and that the kitchen was going to ‘fast track it’ (we all had steak and mine was to be well done). over an hour later, we still didn’t have our meals. She didn’t offer to bring anything for the kids to snack on… she did offer more bread. We spent 2 hours total at the restaurant… not once did a manager or anyone stop by to check on us. I took our youngest to the bathroom and saw another waitress and asked her if she would have a manager stop at our table. I told her we’ve been here over an hour and that our waitress forgot to put our order in – she responded “Oh, I heard about that”. The kitchen manager came out a few mins later and apologized. She also said she gave us a ‘deep discount’ – which was the employee 25% off. I was expecting WAY more than that – and at that point, the meal should’ve been free. This was one of our worst dining experiences and we will not be going back again. Our Father’s Day dinner was definitely unforgettable. I’m thankful for my husband who grabbed the Kindle Fire on the way out the door…otherwise, our 4yr old would’ve been a mess.

Meridian Crossing Tavern & Eatery – Menu with Prices – 627 Meridian St N, Huntsville

Had great expectations for this place when we walked in. Loved the decor. Great atmosphere, but staff failed in every way possible. Took the waitress/staff at least 20-30mins everytime we asked for drinks/food. The Golfer Martini I order was just ok. Most of the night we could not locate the waitress so bar staff would come over to us. I couldnâ??t even get a glass of water! Husband had the brisket and he ended up with more fat left on his plate than the meat he ate! Worst heâ??s ever had! I had the smoked chicken, which arrived lukewarm. Beans were good, but greens were awful…no salt/seasoning. I kept adding salt, but ended up just not eating them. I figured the food is made earlier then warmed. Since we sat across from the kitchen, we watched as random people went in/out of the kitchen/bar areas, then return to a table they were sitting at. They were also delivering food. I was waiting for a hair in my food and really never saw any of these people wash their hands! The most troubling part of our evening was when the waitress finally took our payment and promptly disappeared for 20mins! I wanted to know where the crap our credit cards went! A gal from the bar finally came to return our cards and said, â??Sorry, no one told me these were up there.â? So, all of that time, with ransom people going in/out, where were our cards? Also, band was so loud, our ears were ringing when we got outside to go home. Just not a good night at all and 3 stars was generous.

Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen – Menu with Prices – 4511 Saufley Field Rd, Pensacola

I visited this new store on (12/14/18) around 9pm, when i arrived ,the line was around the building, after sitting there for 20 mins just to order my food. As i went to order.my food the person taking the order was rude over the intercom, and i had to repeat myself 3 timea because she was apparently talking to other employees instead of taking my order, after ordering i sat for another 10 mins watching 3 different cars infront of me leave. So after 15 total.mins i make it to the window. So i go to.pay for my food. There was 2 people on there phones walking around chit-chatting with eachother. So one girl come to the window and tells me its gonna be another 15 mins for my meal(which was suppost to be a 5 piece strip meal) and asked me if that was okay…No it wasnt but after a 10hr shift. I was hungry and just wanted my food. I WILL NEVER go to this store again. I didn’t leave out the drive thur till 10pm. Customer service was rude and i didnt even get what i ordered.i was given a 4 piece spicy mix box not strips. This store needs to fix there drive thur times.and get better employees.

Tropical Smoothie Cafe – Menu with Prices – 4421 W Saginaw Hwy, Lansing

I’m so disappointed that I have to give them 1 star… The standards for obtaining a tropical smoothie franchise must be incredibly low. I’ve had more bad experiences at multiple locations. East Lansing is a train wreck. This one is better, but far from acceptable Today, for the second Friday in a row, I’ve ordered…and it wasn’t ready when I got there…again. So I sat there, with a whole host of ppl waiting. After twenty minutes, I finally gave up. (10 mins to get there, 20 mins of sitting there, is MORE than enough time to make a smoothie.) I finally gave the receipt to the mgr and said, just refund my card. I can’t wait any longer. No apology…no, “let me fix it.” No…nothing…just blank stares. And yes, I get they were busy. But being busy is not an excuse for providing crappy service. Plus, last Friday was just as busy, so it shouldn’t come as a big shock that today would be too! As a “supercharged” member of their rewards program, that has spent more than $500 there in a year, I’ll wait and see if my credit card is refunded, or my reward is returned. My guess is; this review will go unanswered, and I bought the staff a smoothie. It is the LAST one I’ll ever buy.

Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen – Menu with Prices – 311 S Rosemead Blvd, Pasadena

This place need to hire a new manager. I get here at 930(online shows closes at 11pm) I see a line of 5 people waiting for orders. I stand waiting at register for at least 15 mins. Now while im waiting to just get my order taken. I see who I presume is the manager on duty (guy in blue shirt) he is walking back and forth mumbling to himself. Knocking down paper and trays. Complaining that its too busy and saying (dont these people know we close at 10) Does this guys really not want business. Or maybe he just didnt want to work or he doesn’t like his job. I got a sense that the rest of the staff seemed afraid that this manager was going to snap at any second. Now I’m still waiting and this manager calls my name. He says all I have is this(points finger at what’s left in chicken.) Ask if I want that or want what I ordered? Um of course I want what I ordered. This is now another 20 mins after I ordered. He is saying it’s going to be another 20 mins , since they have to make it. I said I’ll wait. He then tells me to go wait outside, because the lobby is closed. Why leave when other customers are still sitting and eating. By the way there are 2 other customers after me. And he wants us all to leave because the lobby is closed. No I dont thinks so. This guys is being such a tool. He is still complaining that all day they had 5 customers and now the customers wont stop coming in. Doesn’t he know that it’s a good thing to be busy and make money. Still the other staff looks unsure on what to do . Not wanting this manager to go crazy. This guys still wont shut up, this whole time complaining and in a bad mood. Still waiting Still waiting Still waiting It’s now 50 mins after is showed up and my orders done , the manager dissapeared for about 15-20mins. He Comes out when I’m leaving and looks around still complaining. The other worker is at least apologetic about wait. By the the signs still says open and there still taking drive thru orders. And the lady after me is still waiting too. This is a long review because I had time to write this since im waited 50 mins because this manager doesn’t know how to manage. Tip to owner of store. Get rid of this guy. He makes customers not want to come back. I will drive the other way next time just to avoid his attitude and wait
